Just another indication that Honda is leaving - representatives of CSKA Moscow are sniffing around Bulgarian prodigy Georgi Milanov as his successor. Nice talent by the way, one of the last left in my country, as football is sadly going to heck here.

Honda off to Everton

Not a Liverpool rumour exactly but I would be interested to hear from the eds about where Schurrle will end up or indeed if he moves at all (I'm assuming he will though)
Jimbo {Ed002's Note - Schurrle is looking to move to England. I cannot say at this time where he will end up but Chelsea remain very interested in him as a player. I also understand that he is a player that another English club are now looking at (at the Greuther Furth game) and will continue to do so in the coming weeks.}

Is the other team Spurs ed?
or is it Arsenal? {Ed002's Note - It is of no consequence who teh other team is to this page.}

But it's always nice to know Ed002 =]

I think he would be an excellent addition to the PL but I wonder whether Chelsea really need him and could focus on other players. Anyway thanks for answering the question.
Jimbo

Any real interest eds in jeremy menez?
Thanx {Ed002's Note - I don't believe there is. He has an agent who is playing up somewhat at the moment.}

Wouldn't be a good choice. The bloke is meant to be a prima donna who throws a fit every time something doesn't go his way. The PL has enough of them without having one don the red shirt. Much better alternatives out there.

Well I havnt really seen much of him this season. but some reports claiming we r very much interested and already stating that he is the perfect choice to complete the Liverpool jigsaw! I remember him in his roma days and I didn't think he was that great back then!

Wouldn't want him

Hi Eds. Heard a few whispers that Raheem Sterling might be coming to Hull on loan for the remainder of the season. Any truth in the rumour or just wishful thinking on our part? {Ed002's Note - Rodgers says no loan.}

i know they prob don't need him but if he went on loan I would love to see him at cardiff learning from bellamy.

Rodgers said Carroll wouldn't go on loan {Ed001's Note - yes and then he let himself down and was booted out the club. I don't see Sterling making the same mistake.}

Any interest from shurrle or mertens from Liverpool ed

Cheers {Ed002's Note - Not in Schurrle. As for Mertens it would appear that a move to Bayern Munich is much less likely to happen so he will have interested parties from England and Italy.}

Both would be excellent signings. Borini downing Assaidi will all move on though downing has been fantastic recently. Mertens in particular would be excellent on the right.

Mertens is quality undoubtedly but he is a LW. What our team lacks is a RW.
That is why Ben Arfa would be good especially if we can push for a straight swap wih Carroll. And I genuinely believe they will accept it considering they need a ST & Ben Arfa's injury prone season.

Newcastle fan here and not a cats chance in hell of that trade happening.

Do you know why the possible move is less likely now, is Pep not interested? It seemed like a move to Bayern was all but a certainty. {Ed002's Note - Even before Bayern Munich appointed Guardiola they were indeed looking to refresh the squad this summer and, as you say, Mertens was one of the players they were looking to. However, their plans right now do not include Mertens who is still of serious interest to Lazio and there is perhaps a little interest still from Barcelona, although I suspect that will come to nothing. I would expect there to be interest from England and certainly one EPL club (not Liverpool) has started to take an interest in him as a possible option for the summer.}

Would preffer we went for Narsingh or Depay of PSV as they are relatively cheaper and younger.

To the 3rd poster believe what you want.
After all you are a Newcastle fan

I did actually offer reasoning to why the deal would never happen for Ben Arfa but it appears that the ed didn't want to put them.

Basically you owe us still 10m for Carroll and there is no way we would offer Ben Arfa and 10m for Carroll. After all we all agree he is useless. I came in peace, there was no need to be rude.

To the Newcastle Fan, you can keep injury prone Ben Arfa and also I think there is every chance Carroll will end up back at Newcastle for around £15M with lots of add on's as Pardrew wants him, Carroll would go back and Rodgers don't want him.

Mertens would be and excellent signing as although mainly a LW he can also play on the RW, he gets goals and provides lots of assists and would cost no more than £12M its a no brainier, 2 more additions I would like is Gustavo of B. Munich he would provide tough competition for Lucas which is much needed as we really do struggle when he don't play and would also cost around £12M, and Finally is old faithful Honda as we all know would cost around £6M - £8M as he is in the final year of his contract, his versatility alone would justify his fee as its important to Rodgers that players he brings in can play numerous positions, he also scores goals ans get his fair share of assists and his Free Kicks speak for themselves.

Ben arfa not wanted

Hi ed. Which premier league club has recently taking an interest in mertens?
Thanks. {Ed002's Note - I don't want to say at this time.}

I agree with BigD except would Gustavo be willing to move to us? He might need to go next season with the backup status under Guardiola before he'd be willing to move on to the likes of us. I think he'd only be willing to move this summer if guardiola told him he has no interest in him

Hi Ed002, you seem very knowledgeable and well updated on most football teams transfer targets. Do you have any ideas of players you may think Liverpool will possibly make bids for in your opinion.
Thanks. Keep up the good work {Ed002's Note - It is too early to say beyond what has already been said about the interest in the likes of Mignolet, De Vrij, Iturra, Inan, a wide player et al..}

If we were to sign the players you mentioned ed i'd be quite pleased with the summer, with the addition of a wide player too, possibly mertens
