Ed because gerrard is injured again and looks to be very injury prone do you think it is likely that we will try and buy and midfielder like moussa sissoko in jan? {Ed002's Note - I really don't know. The chance was there in the summer to buy him and he is still for sale.}

I've heard from a friend who seems we're looking at Nicolas Chafer (Nico as he's known I think) of Villarreal B.
He's a tricky little attacking midfielder, his goal tally isn't too fantastic on his Wiki but I just thought I'd ask one of the eds if they've heard something about this lad.

ed is there intrest in Wakaso Mubarak of villareal he is a 21 yr old defensive midfielder? would get him for £5-£7m. good re sale value and a future peospect. {Ed001's Note - I don't know is the simple answer, though we have kept a close eye on Villareal for the last season or two.}

Well liverpool sold torres and babel that got carroll and saurez, dont forget liverpool mdae gross proffit of well over 50 million pounds of last season, what we spent in the summer was around 53 million then we sold merilles for 12 mill,, so i think ed we havnt spent as much as u think we have? sam red. {Ed001's Note - you forget how much was spent paying up the contracts of players such as Meireles.}
New owners are crap. Its simple. No net spend - it all came from the saved wages. They're afraid to admit what they spent buying the club. Tip - try "nothing".

To shed some light on what we are hearing down here, everything is very quiet on the LFC front for January (as is the case for nearly all clubs, including MUFC).
There are a couple of rumours building up steam (including Marco Russ to Man City), but our understanding is that LFC won't be making any major buys in January.
Also, to answer a question about how much chance there is of LFC (or any team not playing in the CL) signing David Villa - absolutely, 100% zero.
Unfortunately for all of us, we're predicting that this will be a very quiet January.

hi ed- i have heard a lot of rumours going round that we are interested in signing moussa sow from lille and also lucas moura from sao paulo, is there any possibility that we may get them {Ed002's Note - Sow is available but I don't know that Liverpool are interested. Lucas Moura, no.}
Why Lucas Moura, no? I honestly don't see why not, we are clearly looking to S.America, and no smoke with out fire, we have definitely been scouting a lot more there. I'm not saying Lucas will sign, but I don't see whyit is totally dismissed.

Hi Ed, who do think Liverpool can realistically sign in Jan {Ed001's Note - right now the only person who seems likely to sign is Luuk De Jong, and even that is not exactly nailed on. It is only likely because of other team's interest in him. If no one else moves for him, I doubt we will either in January. It is just still too early to tell, he could rupture a cruciate tomorrow and have his season ended.}
