He might start at this rate.

Apparently Klopps training was so intense that some of the players have been physically sick. Also heard he isn't impressed at all with Benteke and Lallana. Make of it what you will

Wasn't impressed by what? The fragrance of their sick?

If that's true i am delighted, when i am doing pre season cardio that's a requirement for my team. Survival of the fittest :D

Lallana is among the hardest workers in the team, he covered more ground per 90 than anyone else in the team last year. Despite being hauled off at 70-80 minutes half the time he was on. Benteke hasn't even begun full training coming back from his injury yet, Klopp even mentioned today Firmino and Benteke will begin full training and said they 'maybe' ready for next weeks league game but not the europa league game. I find this hard to believe, unless he's made his mind up watching videos which again I think he'd like to see the players in person. I'm not saying it isn't true, but it seems highly unlikely given Lallana only came back from internationals yesterday and given what Klopp said about Benteke/Firmino.

I remember similar reports of players being sick during the 1960's. Apparently Bill Shankly's training regime was quite robust.

well I may be wrong but I have always thought, rather depressingly in some way that fitness is probably the biggest key in sport. You can have all the skills and talent n the world but a much fitter player will often drag you into deep water and you will likely mistakes

I'm not sure how the training works, but making players sick 2 days before a game probably wouldn't be page one in the handbook

Probably not immediately a great thing but he's not impressed with there fitness and it has to improve so it needs to start now rather than in preseason next year. Hopefully it's true make them work hard for their paychecks. I think Klopps reasoning is solid, having that extra 10% fitness/running etc will be massive advantage

Really intense physical training quite often induces vomiting. It's because the blood that should be in your stomach is diveted elsewhere so your body ejects what is in the stomach as it is unable to process it. Ask any infantry NCO that has done the Pen Y Fan in full NBC kit, or any infantry soldier that has done a log race.

You guys are hilarious. If there was a rumor that BR was running players ragged on the thursday or friday before a game you'd all be calling for his head. It annoys me how inconsistent some of you are with who you like or don't like. Klopp isn't a savior. I hope the team play harder for him but in the end it's down to player performance. Period. End of.

if the players are being sick then they must not be fit enough, i remember starting the circut traing and i was sick at the begining but as the weeks went on i got so fit so i'm made up he is putting them through their paces because this might have been the problem all along and the reason a lot of the players lost their form and confidence, lallana might have ran a lot of miles but at what pace, if he just trotted a long then he could go on like a duracell battary, but at full pelt i wonder how far he got, look at danny ings he was running every where and must have covered some distance and he was doing it at a high tempo and Frisky i have to agree with you, come the last 10 minutes of the game if we have the better energy then that could be the difference between winning and not winning, IMRED i think Klopp knows more abpout training players than you do plus he will have all the stats and data to back everything he does up including the medical help, as I've said lallana might have covered a lot of ground but at what pace, so your saying he is like kuyt because kuyt used to work his socks off and must have been the top at how much ground he covered, and by what I've seen lallana is not in kuyts league, plus in training over the week klopp will have seen more of benteke and lallana than what we so in the 90 or so minutes of the games once a week, so if he says something about a player i think he knows what he is talking about this type of traing will sort out who stays and who goes because klopp knows what he needs from a player and if they are not up to it and can't do the physical stuff the rightly so they should move on lallana and benteke if need be, by the way i think benteke could be a huge star for us when he is fit and had a few games under his belt, plus if a player is at his full fitness wise then they don't get injured as much i'm not saying they don't get injured but they won't be as injured has much as they usually are, and its not a suprise if sturridge is injured he is very injury prone.

Maybe isn't impressed is the wrong way to put it, shall we say he has some underlying doubts about them however that isn't to say they can graft their socks off and prove him wrong.

He was impressed with Lallana today. Gave him a huge bear hug at the final whistle.
