That is rubbish editor he was fit for almost the entire campaign this season. It is obvious to most fans that the reason the club are considering letting him go is because they don't really have much more money to spend. If they sell carroll and agger they will have a net spend of 0 for this summer - its pretty obvious that is what they are aiming for.
People can talk about them running the club sensibly, having our best interests at heart, etc etc but really the focal point here is profit - if they sell Agger they will bd making a big profit (as he was an asset already on the books before they bought the club). Bully for them - bad for us fans.

He missed games last season that he shouldn't have because of his slow healing issues. So it is not rubbish. Actually no player can be trusted to be fit when needed. Players get injured,some more than others true, how many PL players have had injuries that keep them out for an almost entire season? More than a few.See RVP's injury record and clubs would love to have him on their books.

Tello deal is off, wants to stay at Barcelona and fight for first team position. We all know Sahin deal is coming very close which spells the end of Adam's career which also signals the start of dempsey's career at anfield. Carrol is not in Rodgers plans and wants to get around 18-20 million for him. 4 of that million will go to Dempsey along with Adam going to Fulham. The other 15 million will be used on a winger. Rodgers is thinking of putting a late bid for Ramirez if no one has picked him up already, otherwise we all know the other options of Walcott, A. Johnson etc. We shall just see what comes our way. With Rogers saying Carrol is ideal for a team that like to get lots of crosses in & only Newcastle in the frame, i can't see us getting more than £15m for him. We aren't holding any of the cards.

Sahin to be confirmed today.
Once Adam leaves , Dempsey will be brought in very soon after. Strong links with Everton as Adam's agent is David Moye's brother, Kenny Moyes. Though Fulham are also in the mix.
Carroll should be sold within the next week or 2 between the figure of 16-20million pounds to Newcastle (only ones in the running).
Tello is off unfortunately..
Walcott will be a last minute swoop as it stands at the moment.

Stupidest post EVER. How is this in any way like Rafa and Xabi? Have you even read the posts or Ed's replies regarding this story? Dagger will only go for top money and only to Barca by choice and City if he's forced. Buck has nothing to do with this at all, it's clearly from the top and a simple business decision whereby a partially used yet valuable asset is being cashed in for more productive assets to relace him.
Do I agree? No, his loyalty and class make him worth more than money and it's an insult to him and us to even contemplate selling him. But that's the current LFC under FSG.

I have been informed by a friend who lives in Barcelona (he works for a sports management company) that Barca are about to bid £17M for Agger today. He also said that Barca officials are confident the offer will be accepted.

It is possible if Tello is included in the deal on a permanent basis. With 1 years left on his contract, I'd suggest his value is approx £4/5m? That would make it a £22/23m package.

I think it better we sell at a discounted amount to Barca to stop city from further adding to their already impressive starting 11. Personally I would take the £8mill loss rather than give city one of the best defenders in world football!
Typical Barcelona. Don't want to pay for anything but will call all kinds of "compassionate reasons" for wanting a player to join. Same with Masch. Maybe 7 mil plus Tello and they will have a deal. Dani is one of the best center halves in the game and is probably worth around 25 mil (City price should be for me 35).
Maybe this will mean we can work out something for Tello coming the other way through this deal. Even so, I don't like the idea of losing Dani. Not only is he one of the best defenders in the business, he is LFC through and though and loyal.

Callejon is a winger. If carroll is sold we will also need a striker in to replace him.
Callejon can play as a striker mate. The same way Suarez can play on the wings or through the middle.

Sahin to be confirmed on Friday (tomorrow) as he flies in for medical.
Walcott interest will be stepped up as, unfortunately, we have missed out on Tello. Arsenal expect at least £15m for him but we are hoping for closer to £10-£12m.
Dempsey will sign if/when Charlie Adam is sold. Three or four clubs interested including Everton and Fulham.
Agger is still up in the air, although it is becoming more and more likely he will stay. He has made it clear that he does not want to join City, and Barca are reluctant to pay the sort of money we are asking for (in the region of £30m!). Expect him to either sign a new contract or go to Barca in the next week.
Lastly, Andy Carroll will be leaving... Chances are to Newcastle, probably for around £13-£15m.

Hey EDS, I am based here in Madrid ( Check IP to confirm! ) working with Real Madrid and other clients and news about 5 minutes ago is that Sahin is agreed but that also Callejón will be going to Liverpool after they bid 17 Million which has been accepted

All these past days we've talking about players coming in but the players going out are just as important, maybe not from a fan view point but certainly from a financial one. IF we did sell Carroll for the reported 17mil he is tagged at, only then do I realistically see us buying other targets. Heard Adam will be moving to the other side of Mersey for about 5mil, with Spearing heading south to Reading for about 3mil. Thats about 25mil to spend. Except if FSG have decided to dig deep one more time and trust the manager with funds. Anyways, I wouldn't hold my breath on both of Sahin and Callejon joining but I am really hoping this happens!

Downing had a similary abysmal return last season but he delivered so many balls that went to one of our players but weren't converted, Kuyt's miss against Arsenal from a superb Downing cross and numerous wide headers from Carroll to name a few examples.
