Hi Eds, in your opinion, do you think we will bid for Dennis Praet and do you rate him highly? Great job keep it up! {Ed001's Note - I have no idea, sorry, nor have I watched much of him.}

Believable9 Unbelievable22

Dennis Praet is a top talent but he is a couple of years of physical development away from I being able to cut it in the EPL.

Agree0 Disagree1

We should sign both Dennis Praet(AMF) and Jordan Lukaku(LB) from Anderlecht. They both look like great players with huge potential and getting them now wouldn't cost much.

Heard a Rumor that Liverpool were interested in either Matri or Quagliarella from Juventus after the pair have been listed as surplus to requirements (with Tevez signing). Any truth to this Eds and what are your thoughts?

Jack {Ed001's Note - not aware of any interest from us in either.}

Believable3 Unbelievable38

Good heavens Matri is pants!

Agree1 Disagree0

Quagliarella to Norwich or So'ton

With Cavani going to PSG do Napoli have any interest in suarez? Least they will prob have some decent funds now.

Eds do you know if they are interested? they have champions league football don't they? Be better then him going to arsenal.

Jord {Ed002's Note - The world does not revolve around Suarez - right now their interest is in others.}

Believable9 Unbelievable24

The world doesn't revolve around Suarez?,,, Try telling the English press and FA that! They seem to get their knickers in a twist over everything the guy does. Ivanovic weren't bothered about the biting incident, we weren't that bothered and the then Chelsea manager weren't overly bothered yet the English press just couldn't get enough. I would ask you to reconsider your comment because clearly its all about Suarez!!

{Ed002's Note - Everything that has happened with Suarez and the press is the direct result of his own actions. The FA had independent panels look at the cases involving Suarez - which were as a result of his own actions. They came up with the punishments and not the FA. Regardless of whether being bitten by Suarez bothered Ivanovic or not, he cannot be expected to be able to bite other players and not be held to account. This is the third club that Suarez has treated appallingly to get out of his contracts. He has lied in interviews and been caught out. He has repeatedly discussed his desire to move. He is in the midst of a plan to rip-off Liverpool for £2M. He has courted other clubs. He lied to the fans about the press being the reason he wants to leave. He has welcomed the interest of Arsenal, although there is a very good reason that going there may not happen. He wants out of Liverpool and wants to take £2M for doing so. The club will be sick of him and will want the glifnard gone - but will want to save the £2M he is trying to rip off.

If this was Shelvey would you be trying to protect him?}

Agree6 Disagree1

Yes! No one can slander JonJonJo {Ed002's Note - Spearing then, or Joey Barton.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Because he is not a Chelsea player, as a matter of fact at the moment the world and the press is revolving around Suarez, now stop ruining the site and answer the questions with professionalism or just pack it in. {Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Chelsea. You sound like a whining six year old girl. Face it, Suarez is a nasty little shit - the club, the fans and most of the world knows it.}

Agree6 Disagree1

Nicely said Eds. Suarez is a disgrace. Don't listen to the cranks.

Agree5 Disagree0

I want him to stay.
I like his bolshie attitude to the media.
The media who brought us Hillsbourgh, the truth.
They are using him to get to us, the team (and city) they hate for some reason.
Get him back on side and don't let the press win

Agree0 Disagree2

'glifnard'? I like it! lol

Agree2 Disagree0

Yes Suarez is responsible for his own actions but the press and the FA do love to over react the situation.for example why was there such a difference in the bans of Suarez and Terry?its because of who they are.if he goes he goes and if he goes abroad the press would have played there part there is no question of that. {Ed002's Note - The difference in bans was explained by the independent panel. Why don't you try and understand matters before making an embarrassing comment.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Although I agree with you Ed, I do believe myself that the English media have at every opportunity put the fact that he's bitten someone into every single article possible. Before that, they'd do the same with the Evra racism thing. I'm not defending Suarez, you're right, he's a nasty little rubbish and although he is an incredible talent and I loved watching him play every week, I still want to see the back of him, preferably abroad so we don't have to still suffer him when he's gone. {Ed002's Note - So if he had not done these things .....?}

Agree1 Disagree0

with Napoli selling a striker for a large amount of money, and therefore perhaps being in the market for a striker with money to burn, add in an ex-Liverpool manager who paid over the odds for a few players, throw in Champions league which Saurez wants, plus the fact that they haven't been mentioned as a possible destination.

I think that virtually every Liverpool fan is resigned to him leaving, but we want to get as much for him as possible. If Napoli enter the bidding, so much the better.

Agree1 Disagree0

Think you should avoid all Suarez questions or don't post them Ed. As you said we all know he's a little rubbish, sadly too many fans rather have a one man team instead of a team that achieves the goal. He keeps going on about other teams and some fans are still deluded saying he loves the club, seems more like a plot to keep fans on side incase things don't go his way transfer wise.

JA

Agree1 Disagree0

Nailed it, Ed. Bravo. He is a horrible person, even a lot of Liverpool fans know it. There is many who believe the conspiracy theories and that he gets treated harshly, but every single one of his punishments have been just.

I won't be surprised if he pulls a Tevez-like stunt and refuses to come back to Liverpool. I also wouldn't be surprised if the bite in Ivanovic was pre-planned to help engineer a move. He's that Nast that it is genuinely a possibility.

I hope Liverpool get rid for anything north of £40M+. I think we can have a better chance of reaching the champions league without him if we reinvest the money wisely. When he arrived at the club we were a 6-9th based team, we still are now. He hasn't improved us dramatically. Liverpool were a top club before Suarez came, and even after he has tarnished the image of the club dramatically, Liverpool will still be a top club when he leaves.

Agree1 Disagree0

Had he not been a nasty little rubbish, tried to rip us off and been less gobby than Paris Hilton on a video then yeah why not, he's a great player when he's not a petulant little child.

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez is a rubbish let's get that straight and I wholeheartedly agree with some of Eds comments . What I will say is that Keane and Cantona did something far worse . The infamous Kung fu kick which is worse than any of Suarez incidents and Keane who Ended a players career and then bragged about it. So basically my understanding is yes it is Suarez fault but the Media and Fa are treating him with far less equally no matter what anyone says . Again I am not defending him . {Ed001's Note - but neither of those were constantly in the media in other countries lying about their actions and bringing it up over and over. Suarez is totally to blame and he should never have been bought.}

If he stÀys I'll be happy, because he's world class, but we should try tooth and nail to keep him, if he definitely wants out, then hand a transfer request in, simple! And if he goes, we move on and wish him the best! Won't be the 1st time and definitely the last that a player wants pastures new! Its life! And at the end of the day LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB will live long after me, you and certainly Luis suarez,
You'll Never Walk Alone (unless ya wanna play for real madrid) lol
DHH L20 KOPITE

Agree0 Disagree1

Sewer'arez. does not deserve to have everyone bickering over him. For sure the mgt are just posturing hoping to flush out one of the wealthier clubs that missed out on their Marquee signing, and gets desperate and pays up.
He has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is a huge fart knocker. There is no I in TEAM, unfortunately the boy has always been pandered to, so in a way he is like a playground bully that has never been stood up to as he has some attributes the school wants!
Hopefully we can move on and use this to create a more cohesive environment, huge changes in some of the top placed teams from last season with new managers etc. I am hopeful of good things to come 2013/14 for LFC.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2013 09:27:51
Suarez wants to leave LFC and is a top player therefore many clubs will surely be lurking. With that in mind, any big club with the funds or potential funds to purchase a player like Suarez would certainly lead to LFC fans speculating as to whether or not they'd be interested in signing him.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2013 09:39:37
Suarez wants to leave, what's the big deal? It has no bearing on his moral composition. Why would he want to stay? We have no cl football, the press hound him and his family and he can't walk the streets without being abused. why would he want to stay? He has seen the favouritism shown to Terry and he is probably extremely angry.

If I was him i'd want out as well and I'd let everybody know about it. This country hates confidence and we knock people down that show any ounce of it as opposed to America where they embrace it.

Bravo Ed002 . stick to your guns.

You are the most unbiased Ed on here, so why people throw Chelsea at you is beyond me.

Thank you for you insight, think people should respect it a bit more.

17 Jul 2013 10:12:11
Whatever you think of him the fact is that he's stoked up some passions. Ed002, I for one agree in your opinions but what has to be noted is that as fans we tend to forget that it's all business now. Very, very few players believe in the word 'loyalty' anymore. They're mostly mercenaries that will long be gone whilst the club will remain. LS is just another mercenary, his actions have proven it.

17 Jul 2013 10:12:59
Wow, totally agree with Ed002 some of these comments are embarrassing! Last season I loved Suarez, not going to lie as he is class and I liked his win at all costs attitude, even though he certainly went too far at times but how some of you are still defending him is beyond me. His actions were disgraceful then and even more so now. It is totally insulting to the club and us fans the way he is behaving and I can't wait to see him gone! How can you still defend him after he said he wanted a move due to English media and now is interested in the arsenal offers? At least be honest with us, surely that's what we deserve. I'd have no problem if he had just said at the start I want to move. We need to get rid and move on and I'm not worried in slightest if he does so which will inevitably happen. Just wish the fans defending him would stop doing so as it is cringeworthy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to agree with most opinions on here. Suarez can go, but 40/50 million and abroad. I also agree with the theory he bit Ivanovitch with a view to a move. My worry is getting a 25 goal a season striker to replace him. Not many about and none we can afford or attract. As I get older I really think my days of seeing us as a great team have gone.

I'm starting to get a feeling that eriksen WANTS to come to Liverpool. I have nothing concrete to vase this on but it does seen a real possibility. He has turned down city, Chelsea, zenit, and now Leverkusen. In the past he has spoken of barca and real but there is no way a move to either of those is happening. He is aware that we were at least interested at one point in time and the other day De Boer came out and said he would not stop him from moving to Liverpool. He did not say anyone else, just us. It almost seemed like a calculated move to send us a message. Wether or not we actually want him is a different story but it certainly seems that he MAY be very interested in joining us. Seems to me that signing highly rated players that are not only willing to come to us, but want to come to us, is a great idea. {Ed002's Note - He has also spoken of PSG and Monaco, Bayern Munich and Roma. There is no doubt that the move he really wants is Barcelona. Unless Fabregas goes the only midfield player they are looking to at the moment is for the future, so his opportunity this summer will be limited. If Liverpool were to put in an acceptable offer then he will have a decision to make.}

Believable46 Unbelievable13

Ah so there could be interest in Eriksen!

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes, he has mentioned those clubs as well. This is one of the reasons why people have become slightly critical of him, and rightly so. I just thought it was strange that his coach said he wouldn't stop him from moving to Liverpool. Surely we are not the ONLY club he would like to join, but without champions league having a top player who wants to join is a great thing. {Ed002's Note - It was in response to a question about Liverpool. There has been no bid, but they are aware that there may again be interest.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Like the ed says he wants to go to barca. That worries me if he does come to Liverpool because we would obviously be a stop gap until barca (or another massive club) need him.
We need good players who want to play for Liverpool.

MIKEY

Agree1 Disagree1

I bet Spuds will make a bid for him no doubt
Roadmovie Red

Agree1 Disagree0

I'd rather leave him off. We have enough dealing with one media clown of a player rather than sign this fella and we'll be listening to him next summer or the summer after like a fool as well

Agree0 Disagree0

Any great players or even potential great players we have, will become restless and uneasy at Lfc.
The answer is to get back in the Champions League.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jul 2013 14:03:08
is anyone interseted in tarabaat? have Liverpool ever looked at him? {Ed002's Note - If Taarabt leaves over the summer, which I expect him to, I suspect it will be to either PSG or sunnier climes nearer the Mediterranean, notably with Monaco. There has been previous interest from Italy, notably from Napoli and Milan but Lazio are likely to be the first to put an offer on the table. There has been no interest from Liverpool.}

Believable10 Unbelievable36

Have you seen Taarabt play?

Agree2 Disagree0

I see a website linking Hull with Taraabt and they consider it a 'gamble' for Hull, yes Hull not Manchester United not Chelsea, etc but Hull City

He would be one of the worst signings we could make but thankfully we have no interest

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree 100% with sean ireland, taarabt is lazy, wasteful, uncommitted and the exact player we should avoid. He's the Moroccan Downing, abysmal, I hope we gets his dream move to a sunny climate the horrible melt - the way he performed for QPR was a disgrace given the wages he was on and the talent that he actually has.

Agree2 Disagree0

Agree with both replies. actually, who are the other 4 people who agreed with this initial post?!

Agree1 Disagree0

Out of curiosity, why are you thinking about Taarabt?

Do you play a lot of football manager games? {Ed002's Note - As an aside, Hull were interested in a loan and I don't see that happening.}

16 Jul 2013 14:00:35
Any chance Liverpool could be one of the 5 english clubs interested in Fabregas?

RED MOON {Ed002's Note - No and Fabregas won't be moving to Liverpool.}

Believable7 Unbelievable54

Hi ED. Do you know who any of the five are? Could you tell us them please?

Thanks! {Ed002's Note - It is unimportant, I cannot see him moving.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Barcelona to Liverpool? Why?

16 Jul 2013 13:38:47
Ed002, since Higuain to Arsenal seems to be stalling, there are fresh rumours (though no evidence) that Real would prefer to offer him as part of a player swap deal for Suarez.

Can I ask- with what knowledge you have of the situation and the player, would he consider a move to LFC, and could the other issues such as wages could be resolved? {Ed002's Note - (a) No. (b) I don't know of any involvement of Liverpool in anything to do with Higuain at this time.}

Believable17 Unbelievable15

Cheers Ed, I suspected he wouldn't fancy the move, and especially not without CL football.

How reliable are Jan Molby's comments. He is stating today Reina is defiantly going {Ed002's Note - "Probably going" would be better.}

Believable29 Unbelievable12

Defiantly going or definately going.?

Agree1 Disagree0

Should not come as a surprise. The eds have been saying this all along and why would Mignolet come if he was not offered assurances of being first choice (especially with a world cup on the horizon). Pepe has been a great servant to the club - arguably the best during his first two/three seasons. A move away benefits both he and the club.

Agree3 Disagree0

Molby was expressing an opinion not a fact . I think a lot of us of the same view. its world cup year . the thing is who/which club in need of first team keeper and will be interested?

Agree1 Disagree0

The fact it's a world cup year really has no bearing. We all know pepe isn't going to be keeper ahead of casillas

Agree1 Disagree0

yes and he does n't want De gea, taking his number 2 or 3 slot, he wants a summer holiday in Brazil next year

Eds you say Shaqiri isn't one if the players Bayern are looking to sell. Who are they may I ask?

Gustavo? Badstuber? Contento? Are there any others?

Gustavo would be a truly incredible signing, if only we had interest. Maybe in a swap deal for Suarez :)

{Ed002's Note - Shaqiri was not one of the players that they were looking to sell. There was some talk of a loan to Hamburg.

Ribery was available but there was a difficulty in selling the player and it was agreed that a new deal would be offered - which he accepted. He will likely leave next year. Badstuber was on the list but a further injury makes a move much less likely. Gomez has gone to Fiorentina. Pizarro was offered a new deal to provide cover until the expected arrival of Lewandowski. Robben, Boateng, Van Buyten, Contento, Luiz Gustavo and Tymoshchuk are available and could all be leaving.}

Believable9 Unbelievable20

Gustavo is the stand out buy if we could get him provides competition in a few places in the team that need improving.

Agree2 Disagree0

I'd jump at a chance for Boateng

Agree0 Disagree2

With Pizarro staying until Lewandowski arrive, does that make a move for Suarez unlikely? Thanks. {Ed002's Note - No, it is nothing to do with Suarez.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Didn't Tymoshchuk already signed for Zenith, as his contract expired last month? {Ed002's Note - Yes, he has gone.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Why is bayern trying to sell ribery and robben. why would they dismantle such a great team. is it because guardiola only wants certain type of players? is he trying to prove a point? {Ed002's Note - The Ribery situation became complex and he will be staying. Robben is available as Bayern Munich refresh for the future.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Thanks for the reply Eds

May I ask for more of your time regarding Boateng, Badstuber and Luiz Gustavo.

Is there a particular reason for them trying to sell Boateng? He was part of their quality defence last season; who are interested?

Badstuber is a player I rate quite highly, very good last year but injuries ruined this year, I heard murmurs that he wouldn't feel comfortable leaving Germany, do you have any information regarding this?

Lastly, would some of these players A) Be interested B) Potential used as a Player+Cash deal for Suarez C) Has Bayerns interest in Suarez waned?

If you do answer I am very appreciative :) {Ed002's Note - (a) Boateng may stay as the centre back they were looking at is not available. (b) Badstuber's injury issues will likely kill any chance of leaving. Gustavo wants to stay at Bayern Munich but they would like to see him move on - there are two interested clubs (not Liverpool). Until there is interest shown in Suarez by BM there is no real chance of these players moving to Liverpool.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Thank you very much Ed.

I never expected there to be a chance of Liverpool getting any of these but am very appreciative of you answering me :)
