Great work on the pod Ed002 and very much appreciated.
Not all of it is great news for LFC fans in terms of potential signings, but it's better to know the truth of it than to pine all summer for players and deals that are very unlikely to happen.
Fascinating to hear that a move for Draxler is one of the outside possibilities.
I do miss those retro US commercials from the earlier pods though. Those were brilliant.

Barcelona clearly want to get rid of Cillessen and Ed001 has made it clear a couple of times that Klopp is interested in Navas.

Who knows what is going to happen but I guess we can expect a new GK to arrive at Anfield before the window shuts.

Let's face it, we will need to find a GK who is suited to our brand of play lol. Whether Alisson Becker is even suited will be determined how much the LFC are willing to pay and even probably making him our highest earner. Help us all if it does not work out lol.

Not sure that is the risk the club would want to take at this point. But yes, still thinking a new GK will arrive.

maxlfc, their defence is better than they’re given credit for. Verane and Ramos are no mugs and they’ve got Modric and Kroos ahead of them. They restricted us to two shots on target which we scored from one of them (in no small part to keeper error! )! Normally when they concede it’s because Navas has made an error. This idea that he’s world class and in the same class as Neuer, De Gea, Oblak is a fallacy,

If we end up getting Navas because Klopp wants him then so be it, I don't rate him but I rate Klopps judgement more than my own. Whoever comes in whether we like them or not, we have to trust the club and support the player. Whether we sign Cillessen, Navas, Butland, Alisson, whoever else or stick with Karius, it's our job to support them and show them what YNWA really means.

Out of the four you’ve named Salah, I think Alisson is not heading our way. Having seen both Butland and Navas on the same pitch at the same time, I’d say Butland looked the far more competent by a miles. In fact light years. Navas didn’t even look like a goalkeeper, it was like when a fullback has to cover when the keeper gets sent off. Lots of pointless diving at shots straight at him and massive errors that cost goals. Just have a look at the goal Rashford stuck past him. Utterly baffling as it was saveable.

This is a left field rumour. In a podcast conversation with the NY Redbulls Assistant Manager Jesse Marsch, he was asked about developing US youth players. They mentioned Matt Miazga as Marsch used to manage him and he said he is still in Chelsea's roster but has been playing in Holland (Vitesse) . The host was angling that he didn't make it in the PL but Marsch said it's the opposite and he went to Holland for first team experience and there has actually been an approach/ enquiry for him by Liverpool and he has a very bright future in the PL.

If you class watching the World Cup as too much TV then yes, I have been. The rumour was not that he has a bright future, true, that's conjecture. It doesn't matter where the source came from, he specifically said that we had enquired about him. That is the content of the rumour, the rest is background. Otherwise it would have just said we'd enquired about Matt Miazga and you, like me, would have probably said, 'who'? It really isn't difficult.

Exactly that Bardzo, my ears pricked and I had to google him when they mentioned us. When 99% of fans don’t know the name I’m happy that it constitutes a left field rumour. He was pretty quick and confident in saying that we had put a call/ email/ fax/ pigeon/ smoke signal in so it’s interesting at least.

Daniel Sturridge has been of interest to Real Betis and Besiktas but money would be an issue for a permanent transfer and if Liverpool can't sell they would have to look for another loan.
Divock Origi has been of some interest to Newcastle, Trabzonspor and again Besiktas - but none seem convinced by him right now.
Danny Ings is being seriously considered by Southampton.
Georginio Wijnaldum is the subject from an enquiry from Fenerbahce.
Simon Mignolet was of interest to Fenerbahce (but they have Berke Ozer now) and Napoli (who have Alex Meret now).
Swansea were interested in Danny Ward but now Klopp has told him that he and Karius will vie for being his "number one" it seems he is staying.}
