Hello Ed 001 and 002,
sorry to aks both of you our great informers, but one of you (that is no 1) says that it's almost impossible that KK will leave after this season, while the other you (that's no 2) says it's almost impossible that KK will stay....I know that no one knows for sure, it's just pretty uncertain as for now for both of you, as I understand. Thanks. {Ed001's Note - Ed002 thinks Kenny will probably leave his job as manager, not necessarily leave the club. I believe it is not yet decided, but, if he does leave the job of managing the club, it will be a move to a different position at the club. Which is also a possibility 002 thinks is likely. But right now, neither of us believe it is set in stone, results until the end of the season will decide it. Just like Mancini only kept his job because he won the FA Cup last season, until they got past the quarters, City were trying to get Wenger to take over.}

Alright eds,not sure if im missin anythin but y is it u guys think kenny may step aside? does he feel the sides not coming on fast enough? (bearing in mind all singnings in the last year have been his. and theres been a few to b fair hes been backed by fsg) or does fsg feel the teams not comin on? or do they have a particular manager in mind that may be or become available in the summer just seems a bit random unless iv missed somethin of course? although i admit our league RESULTS arnt good enough our football is 100 times better than the last few years.
cheers eds

Arsen Wenger would of been great at Man City, they stole all his players since the influx of money. So why not recruite the manager.

Its amazing Wenger is still wasting his time with Arsenal. The ship has set sail and champions league football is now alot more difficult. I would of thought the time he knew fab was walking and then the rest of them. He would of been thinking about leaving with them.

Sorry eds dont mean to b an arse ache but they were genuine questions bfor and uv just put up my post without answerin...
dont mean to be a pain.just genuinly wondering what ur reasons are for your opinions? cheers lads
bulford-widnes ozy {Ed001's Note - sorry mate, I must have put it up by mistake, I usually put the questions aside if I haven't time to answer. The reason we feel there is a chance that Kenny may move aside is more to do with the handling of the Suarez row and the league position. Like I said, nothing is set in stone yet, a lot will depend on the end of the season, they certainly don't want to just get rid. But the Suarez affair was poorly handled by the club as a whole, it certainly hasn't made it any easier to get sponsorship.}

Ed I just been on the phone to my mate who says we may loose Raheem Sterling in the summer. He says Spurs are sniffing arround and he maybe intrested as he wants first team football. I know spurs have Bale but have you heared anything? and how likely is it Kenny will give him a chance in the summer?

Cheers

Tizer red {Ed001's Note - he has been reading the tabloids bless him.}

'According to Express, Gladbach are pretty close to signing Twente's Luuk de Jong on a four year-deal.' - Any truth?

16 Mar 2012 16:33:37
hey eds

who do you think the lfc representatives (kenny, clarke,commoli) were watching?

also is there any chance of cavani or levezzi?

and who is more likley to come out of the 2 and is there intrest from liverpool?

please post eds and brilliant work

thanks {Ed002's Note - Refer to earlier answers.}

Sorry to sound harsh but why does everyone think we can attract Cavani , tbh I as much as every LFC fan would love to see that type of calibre player but I think after shelling out £100million on 'certain' players I think the owners maybe more hesitant to give Kenny & Commoli cash

Don't think they would be more hesitant because it was buy cheap young brits and pay a little more for older talent. then in coming years buy people from abroad. im not saying we will attract talent like cavani but that is what i think would happen

perhaps maybe we will try for cavani to try and keep suarez. but im 99.9% sure we won't

I can see where your coming from mate really, just wished we could have steered clear of this racism incident and losing Meireles who knows where we may have been, am not sayin that it's down to what happened but it's a thought , I do wish Cavani would come here but it's just seems unlikely

Didn't I read on here somewhere Cavani has a 100m buy out clause?
If thats the case someone will have to shell out over 50m to get him and there isnt many clubs that can afford that

Do you think Liverpool could move for one of berbatov, lavezzi and cavani in the summer eds? {Ed002's Note - I doubt it.}

16 Mar 2012 15:55:54
Reds boss Kenny Dalglish was expected at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night apparently watching Edison Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi.

ino he said there worth 100 million but i think they would go 80-85 million and the owners payed 60mil in january for suarez and carroll and plus were getting 20+ million from warrior so would it be any diffrent? also napoli arnt doing great

thoughts eds?

thanks eds keep up the great work {Ed002's Note - So where is the £60M coming from? And I am not so sure there is a plan to simply throw all of the spoonsorship money at this either.}

It's 40 million a season of warrior {Ed001's Note - 25m.}

Used to love reading this site, but I'm getting so bored of the same questions about the same players. Is there no way you can filter submissions containing Lavezzi/ Cavani etc out Eds? Just throw them all in the dodgy rumours section or something? {Ed001's Note - I do delete them when I edit, most of the other editors are more lenient, but I just don't see the point of repetitive posts myself.}

What do you mean wheres the money going to come from?? Chelsea of course... they will buy ANdy Carrol for 60m pounds and Charlie Adam for 40m so theres our 100m.... :)

Speedy

Player sales? We are going to sell Kuyt and Johnson at least. Not to mention, Aquilani, Cole. Certainly those sales sum up to a decent amount to buy at least one of them. We have no ambition whatsoever. The way we are going we'll stay a mid table team. And I like it how the Eds are "supporting" these decisions. {Ed001's Note - you would turn us into Portsmouth, that is not ambition, it is stupidity to spend beyond your means.}

Right Ed! And spending 35 million on Carroll or 20 on Downing is TOP management! And how is it beyond our means? If we sell the players mentioned above Im pretty sure we can raise at least 20 million. And what is left is to pay the salary. Is this beyond our means to add one more top class player to raise the team? Currently with the mentality of the management we mathematically are going to stick as a mid table team for years and no CL for years. I believe you were the one who was supporting Downing instead of Mata. And don't tell me again Mata didn't want to join. We were going to spend some more millions for his salary and we would have 10 times better player than Downing AND younger. Yeah TOP management! This is why we are without a League for more than 20 years. Van der Vaart for 7 million...we are unbelievable. Why didn't Tottenham turn into Portsmouth? Are they more rich than us? {Ed001's Note - yes, they are backed by Joe Lewis and they have much higher ticket prices. They also don't pay ridiculous prices for players or huge wages, but that has obviously escaped your notice in your dream world.}

I read in the article it's 40 million a year 3 highest earnings after barca an united {Ed001's Note - Warrior are paying 25m, United's shirt sponsorship is 23.5m}

Then why on earth, didn't we grab VDV from them if they don't pay him huge salary? And Bale 100,000 is not huge wage, Modric probably is going to get more than 100,000 not huge wage. They are paying peanuts for salaries. Should I ask how much our highest earner gets? And why on earth did Fenway bought us if they are not going to invest heavily to make the club successful? How on earth do they expect to get a CL football with the players we bought? Probably you and them are living in the dream world. There are currently 5 teams much more stronger than us and I don't see us even in five years reaching them if we continue like this. {Ed001's Note - whatever, you have no idea what you are talking about, you don't understand football finance, that is quite clear. You want a sugar daddy to buy you success, I will carry on supporting a team that builds its own success with its own money.}

Who said about sugar daddy? I want clever management, not stupid management. Tell me apart from Suarez who else is going to lift the team? Do you see anyone of them being a world class player or becoming one? Currently we only have three world class players and is Suarez, Gerrard and Reina. The latter two are not going to stick for long because of age and Suarez you want to kick him out. So please enlighten me how are you going to buy success with your own money? With Charlie Adam or Carroll? Or maybe Luuk De Jong? Yeah I probably don't understand football finance much but I do understand that I don't live in the dream world of "loyalty". Get over it and live up to the standards of the modern football, otherwise we are going to become Portsmouth anyway. {Ed001's Note - how are we going to become Portsmouth anyway? Do you actually have any kind of clue what you are talking about? You have yet to make any sense at all.}

Hi eds, any interest in Santi Cazorla? {Ed002's Note - No and he would not be for sale.}

Seems impossible to buy him from the spanish rich boys

If we let Luis Suarez leave before he make the initiative and asks for it I think we are making a massive mistake.

Suarez has plenty of talent in him still to show us & potential but this season, because of the events his form has been pretty much less impressive but still he is our best player on the pitch if he is on the starting XI.

Say we sell Suarez for 30-35M [ the Market price I think, unless crazy PSG makes a bid in the region of 40M+] . Then who should we buy to replace him,
The players I believe who can replace him are/ who plays similar to him. and has quality close to him. are

Lavezzi, Tevez, Di Nattale, Miccoli,

I think we have almost zero chance of getting Tevez & Lavezzi {we would need to offer weekly wage of 100K to land him unlike Suarez who is on 75K} & the latter been too old don't think we 'll be interested.

Also it seems the Carroll-Suarez partnership are finally going to come in place [ hopefully if Kenny plays them together every week], it would be a massive blow.
The 75M investment Kenny made on strike force will be broken down in pieces before even it came into place.

If i am not mistaken even the eds say now it is the time to evolve not to rebuild once gain, so lets not shatter the puzzle when it is starting to come in place.
And also lets not loose the most important piece
of puzzle.

King Luis please don't leave us & no to selling Suarez.

Di natale is too old

He said that bud read

I always bin a big fan of miccoli if only he was young and blessed the epl...if Suarez left I lavezzi wouldnt kum because teams with cl and bumper payrolls wud take him my guess wud b sum1 lyk zarate or higuain

Eds, can you advise if you know of any other possible deals that were lined up, and if so, how close they came to completion before the Carroll deal was agreed? i dont think its very believable that every player that has signed, Carroll included, that they were all 1st choice signings.
cheers {Ed001's Note - we had no other deals lined up, we did make bids for a large number of strikers, Llorente, Gomez being the top two choices, but there were others, I have mentioned some in the past. I haven't got my notes any more from back then to give the other names that I know of, but there were a few more. None came close to completion, Toivonen was probably the closest, his club accepted an offer but he rejected us.}

Why did Toivonen reject us? {Ed002's Note - He did not want to move at that time. Sunderland, Besiktas and Aston Villa have also made enquiries in the past but Toivonen now seems to be of interest to Villareal.}

Toivonen rejected the mighty LFC!? What a fool

Do we know the figure accepted by his club?
Shottski. {Ed001's Note - it was around the 25m mark I think, I can't remember for sure though, there were so many bids flying around it was difficult to keep track! We were chasing just about every target man in Europe at the time.}

16 Mar 2012 12:41:44
Eds,
GMF reports Liverpool are planning a double swoop for Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi. Anything true about this? {Ed002's Note - Price is £100M.}

Dalglish is more interested in signing cavani if you read article maybe wants to sign Cavani to keep Suarez at club.

Is liverpool interested in signing them?....RED INDIAN

No, nothing is true about this.

GEG

That what i was thinking on the first comment

To be honest i think its mainly cavani he wants because we need a finisher dont we

Come away from coco land and understand that 100 mill is not just chilling on shelf!! just wake up and smile the coffee.

16 Mar 2012 10:20:50
There are Rumor in Italy That Cavani and Lavezzi is rice tag £50m each.

Roman-Red {Ed002's Note - The owner quoted £100M for the pair to warn off potential bidders. But there is clear interest in both.}

We may aswell spend another 15m and get a decent player, rather than the 35m kenny wasted on Carroll

Clear interest from Liverpool or....

GuvTOB

They quite obviously wont go for that price though, thats just gamesmanship from the owner

BREAK THE BANK!! i would even dip my pockets to bring them in!
Great point there. An extra 15 mill insted of carroll. and 40 mill from Henderson and that other joke of a player stewart i cant cross a ball downing!!

Some bullend fans on here.

16 Mar 2012 10:09:57
What happened with Pacheco? I thought he was the assassin ? The next big thing? {Ed002's Note - I doubt he'll be back as he is on a loan to buy deal.}

16 Mar 2012 08:40:56
I know his in great form but is there any chance of getting Mario Gomez we could of had him last season on loan and apparently he wanted to come so why not give it another shot {Ed002's Note - I don't see any chance of Mario Gomez joining this summer. Sorry.}

Rafa want him a Bid was made £20m but they want £30m that time and owner not back rafa with money. {Ed002's Note - I don't know that Benitez actually made a bid but he was a player the Hodgson pushed for.}

We couldn't have had him on loan. We wanted him on loan but we was quoted "30 million" by Bayern Munich.

BthekingB

He's going into his last year of his contract though

There's no way Gomez would kum 2 us or bayern let him leve... The time we wantd him he wasn't playn well for them just say similar 2 how Carroll is for us now... Bt homes is on fire now he's lyk the German leagues van Persie so 4gt bout him

16 Mar 2012 01:45:59
Hey Eds, Kenny Dalglish and Steve Clarke were spotted at The Etihad last night. Reports were saying that they were scouting Ricky van Wolfswinkel. What's your thoughts, Eds? {Ed001's Note - possible, he was looked at in the past.}

16 Mar 2012 00:51:15
Hi ed....with the rumour of sterling not settling on merseyside do u think he will be sold or do u think it's paper talk? {Ed001's Note - it's nonsense. You can ask the lad himself on Twitter, he is a decent enough lad and does try and answer questions. He has spent most of the season pointing out he is too young to go out on loan, despite the paper talk about him going here, there and everywhere on loan.}

So what's his name on twitter eds? {Ed001's Note - I can't remember, I don't really use twitter if I can help it.}

Think he's closed his account.

Sterling is currently in college in Rainhill, he is not moving away from Liverpool as he finishes in College is May.

Next year he will have more 1st team oportunities!

15 Mar 2012 23:19:25
hi eds, what in percentage do you see KK leaving in the summer, and what is the reason behind it, I thought he was going to be given two seasons? thankyou
hibsylfc {Ed001's Note - I don't think he will leave, maybe move aside depending on how the end of the season goes, but not leave in my opinion.}

I know for a fact that the owners are not impressed by the league i think he will be sacked.

Well i know for a fact that you're completely wrong. see how easy it is?

NOt happening lads. The owners will evaluate at the end of the season, and if we finish for example 5th, which I think will be the minimum, they will give him more money in the summer to buy one or 2 additions, and then set him a target of top 4 for 2012-2013. Sacking him is a deffo no go, as they would then have muteny on their hands. Moving upstairs, is a ridiculous notion cos he ain't had a chance yet to show truely what he can do.

So guys, relax, he will be in charge next season. (Thank goodness).

Think personally Kenny will be around for a while. The only manager to follow him will be Stevie G.

Jamie Carragher is highly thought of inside and outside the club and is very knowledgeable about football coaching, tactics and world football.

Giving kenny kenny anymore would b a mistake I'd prefer if they gave it commoli.... Kenny wud end up buying average players for big prices again
