Hi eds do you think kk will sign a decent striker in jan? If suarez gets injured we have no real potent striker {Ed002's Note - If there are injuries, if a player leaves or if there are short comings then I would expect the club will be looking to replacement or additional players.}

I think having a 35 million striker on the bunch is enough.

PITSILFC

Yes, 35 million for a striker is well enough.
But we need talent, like maybe.....Llorente and Gomez 2 class strikers we coudve signed for the same price as Carrol.

Hi, everyone I'm also disappointed that carroll is not firing on all cylinders yet. But the strikers above mentioned especially gomez had a torrid 1st year with bayern munich when he was transferred for record german fee in 2009. But an year later he never looked back. The thing is typically his type of strikers boom at the ages of 24-25. Even this is the case with llorente where he get his reputation when he reached 24.This is even the case with drogba only when he was 26 he began to become a good striker and attracted interest from chelsea. I might not be as knowledgable as some of the so called fans here. But irrespective of the price tag on his head just consider the circumstances we bought him. We did not go for above strikers because they chose not to come here and why the hell people wont understand such small issue. Any way i believe he has talent ans will come good at some point as this is the case with many his kind of strikers. Also dont expect or compare him to his predecessors. He is completely different to them. Once we are again in CL we need his type of strikers to unlock rigid european defences. But i agree we need torres type striker and will wait until kuyt is sold and some good striker is bought as many eds suggested here. Dont do the same mistake like many did in case of lucas and dont live to eat your words later. Just support our players, manager, staff, owners and everyone associated with the club. These are good times and also ahead. Just enjoy the ride.

Thanks
Abhi

Well said abhi iv watched some of carrolls games for newcastle this lad is quality people also forget ian rush nearly went a season before scoring his first goal for us jesus if he was playing these days the fans would have been on his back and wanted rid of him and look how that would have turned out people need to have patience with carroll he,s starting to show glimpses of form hopefully he,l be banging in goals for us for many years to come

It took berbatov 2 years to settle at united with a £30m pricetag on his head, fergie kept the faith an he came good, the king is doing the same wiv big andy an boy will he come good, wen this lad finds his feet at liverpool an really hits some form ( be it in 12 months time) he will be unstoppable, mark my words

red gaz

Despite my doubts abt AC's ability at times, i believe the Manutd match was for him and he shld dont have been allowed at least 10 min he wld have won us the match easy. all those crosses flying around with no target man in sight. dont know how KK didnt see that. heck any one on the b

Liverpool in for Gary Cahill?
Do we really need another centre back?!

RAHOOOOOSHKA!

You didn't see yesterday's match then ?

His better then any we got right now. You spend 100 million and we still have crap CB'S.

Yupp he would be good id prefer Vertoghen or Alibol

Yes we do. You have to look at the long term of the club. We have Jamie who is reaching the end of his career and will be used sparingly next season. We have Skrtel who will have to cash in on soon, because he is getting older. Agger who is an injury waiting to happen. We have Danny Wilson, who needs more experience, but we need an anchor for that back for, which will be Cahill.

Skrtel is 26.... thats only one year older than Cahill who is 25, and to the guy who asked if RAH saw yesterdays match, have you seen all of Boltons games. Cahill has been aweful in every game except the QPR match. I would much rather have Albiol or Lovren. They are both early 20's, not injury prone, with masses of potential and are already good enough to walk straight into our starting XI. Skrtel is shocking mind, but he should be sold on his ability, not his age. Agger is a pointless player to have, as is Aurelio. We can't rely on Agger to be our best centre back if he is never fit! Carragher should step down into the Hyypia/Kyriakgos role now. To old to start EPL games.

YNWA! (Adam)
