As Ed002 said, we have little cash to spend. We also have an home grown quota we need to fill and at this time we are not meeting that. I would suggest we are looking more at up and coming HG players if any at all.

I understand all of the above. I read this site everyday. We are skint etc (but will magic 30M for Thiago), home grown quota etc but don't see how my question assumes I see him as a Salah replacement? That's you reading into it. I simply heard we are interested in taking him on loan no more no less.

Read between the lines Barakdee. Ed said there was no money there so the implication is if we are bringing him in then it is at the expense of one of the front 3, i. e. Salah. Ed uses this type of example all of the time, not sure why so many people struggle with it.

Hi Ed’s, are Liverpool in for Ben White? What a season he just had. The presence he brings at such a young age on the pitch. Seen Brighton value him at around £40mil? Surely that’s inflated? Would be a good option to push Gomez and meet the HG quota.

Has a significant advantage over Carlos as he is home grown - and Liverpool has a HG problem. Might well become the preferred choice over Carlos as a Lovren replacement - but it would push Joe Gomez down the pecking order. Manchester City have a growing interest in Ben White. Brighton don't want to sell which takes Leeds out of the equation and Liverpool don't have the money right now.}

I appreciate the reply Ed002, interesting that you think White would push Gomez down the pecking order. Do you think he’s the better pick? Possible not as rash and commands his space better than gomez. But I feel his athleticism adds a different dimension to JG game.

I’ve explained this earlier - Klopp wants a first level pick not to replace Joe but to rotate and to give us proper cover if VVD gets injured. Any comments insinuating otherwise is someone on here pulling your leg to get a rise.
