17 Jun 2013 21:55:49
Hi Eds, not heard much on Alderwield recently is it still looking like he's on his way to Roma? Cheers {Ed002's Note - I expected Alderweireld to go to Spurs to replace Gallas or Roma to replace Marquinhos. Liverpool decided the asking price was too high, but it is certainly less than that being asked for Papadopoulos. It looks likely that a move to Bayer Leverkusen could go ahead although maybe Liverpool will look to him again.}
Do you mean Papa to Levekusen Ed? {Ed002's Note - No - it is about Alderweireld.}
I still believe we will get Papa although we will have to pay close to 15 million pounds after a few weeks of negotiations.
But he will be worth it.

Hey eds
Do you no anything on aly cissokho coming to Liverpool 4 7mil
Thanks {Ed002's Note - Nope.}
Said it before we desperately need cover at LB as Enrique has got no competition, and last season we had to play Johnson at LB and young Robinson will be out on loan for the season. Cissokho ain't a bad choice but for £7M we should go for Alderwiereld as he can play CB & LB so would be better choice and apparently his move to Leverkusen has fell through. {Ed002's Note - £7M is miles from what he would cost.}
From what who would cost ed?
Various sites say Cissokho would cost around £7M & Alderwiereld £7M - £9M. {Ed002's Note - Alderweireld. L:iverpool has already walked away from him due to his price.}
Oh right how much is going for then or should I say how much have we been quoted if we walked away? {Ed002's Note - I really don't want to get in to the money. But this was dealt with some weeks ago.}

great site eds. can u tell me if madrid are really interested in luis as I've read loads that they want cavani. also if they get bale and cavani would they be able to afford luis suarez? {Ed002's Note - Real Madrid has an assigned budget for the players they want and it is heavily dependent on players leaving through sales or exchanges. They are interested in Suarez.}
Its obvious they will offer players plus money to get the price down, the interesting thing is that Liverpool have yet to decide 1. if Suarez is for sale and 2. What price they will sell for. Everyone is just putting 2 & 2 together at the moment.

Hi eds,
Any news on Xabi Alonso? He said in January that he wanted to end his career at Liverpool, but With the arrival of Mourinho, Chelsea have shown interest, and apparently they are in talks.
With a soon ending contract, how likely is it he will move to the premier league and where to? {Ed002's Note - There are no talks with Chelsea and I don't see a return to Liverpool this summer.}
Why would alonso go to chelsea wasen't always 1st choice under jose' and I can't see him going to the bridge tbh
He won't come back with us, I don't know how some of you can think he will come back. Really stupid rumors; comon.
I don't think alonso would play in the prem unless it was for Liverpool
I reckon we could get him back in the suarez. Deal if it goes to head him higiaun and 20 mil
27m + Alonso for Suarez

Carrol to have his medical at west ham tomorrow. Has that heel injury but hopefully everything will go through so the dominos can start to fall.
Wish the big lad all the best, still think he would of been a better option than Borini.

edd, s hearing: Dortmund have signed Christian Eriksen from Ajax. {Ed002's Note - It is pretty imminent and Ajax are firming up a deal for his replacement in Maher.}
Source?
That's good news as it must mean we're going for that Mikatarin dude who looks better anyway.
Crowman.
Yeah I agree with crowman mkhitaryan is better than eriksen hope we can get him
Cue the " there's another target gone" whiners
Dortmund boss confirmed this isn't true
"Cue the " there's another target gone" whiners"
nah I prefer the 'dodged a bullet' line
If true, I reckon Ajax have got the better deal out of this. Maher will be an excellent player.
Verdad
I don't understand why everyone is comparing mika with eriksen they are different kind of players. mika is more attackminded than eriksen. eriksen is like gerrard he can play all 4 roles in midfield and reads the game just like gerrard. eriksen just turned 21, mika is 24 it makes a difference
17 Jun 2013 17:29:44
Hey eds, does Liverpool or anyone else for that matter have any interest in Jeremy menez, heard he could be moving. {Ed002's Note - Inter showed some interest in Menez but were put off by an injury and he would like a return to Monaco but they are not showing an interest.}
17 Jun 2013 17:03:57
"The deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan is likely to take a little bit more negotiating, though Liverpool are confident they can make some progress on that, despite competition from elsewhere, " sports writer for Liverpool Echo Neil Jones said. Neil Jones believes that Mkhitaryan is more likely to be "a replacement for Suarez, rather than a supplement. ""Liverpool see the Armenian is an 'ambitious' target, and know that they will face quite a fight to get him. I think a team with both Suarez and Mkhitaryan would be very interesting, but I have doubts whether it will actually happen. "
I'm waiting for Spurs to make a bid, they usually do. Cheapest scouting network in the Prem that lot!

there! tv saying eriksen is close to signing 4 dortmund. puts an end to that. 5 gold stars
Lets hope so Eriksen has been the new Mata who was the new Ken Aguero!
Brendan better get CL football this next season or the fans will go mad! He's on his last chance with many fans.
Rushie
By many fans you mean you?!
How can rodgers be on his last chance he's only just got the job? we are in a better place now then we have been for a long time we need to back our manager
I don't agree he's been left with the s**** previous managers have left he's fixing it don't know what your on about last chance its not goner be turned around instantly got to progress to get top players in
Rodgers out!
Hate so called fans like you. Klopp has been with dortmund for 5 years and has now just made in roads. Br has had one season.
Ridiculous comment. Plastic fan
Rushie how is rodgers on his last chance? where still another few years off top 4 m8
A "few year" is a few far too long. Maybe a few to winning the league but as a season ticket holder and socialising in the pubs around Anfield prior to the games, I can assure you the poster is correct. By far, the majority of opinion is that BR must get top four and a decent cup performance this coming season.
Hard to write a reply without swearing. Honestly some people are just so dumb words fail me. This is Rodgers 1st proper transfer window and signs look good if all falls into place and players prove their potential, but really unless the wheels fall off completely next season it really will take couple more summers and shrude buying (+luck) for us to get back challengeing again. Kneejerk reactions from persons and petulant children we can do without, I'll be happy this year if we make serious attempt at champions league and cut out the silly draws. YNWA
L-G {Ed002's Note - So what were the last two transfer windows for Rodgers?}
Not so proper obviously ed keep up

Ed, any truth in the rumour that Chelsea have hijacked our bid for Henrikh Mkhitaryan because they are offering a higher fee, better personal package, CL football and he wants a London move himself?
Rather have Erikson to be honest, especially if Mkhitaryan is not really that interested in playing for us. {Ed002's Note - Twitter is this? As I have explained, Mkhitaryan has been offered to many, many clubs and Liverpool is one of those clubs that are interested. It would hardly be a "hijack" if Dortmund, Porto, Juventus or Manchester United or any other club were to make an offer for the player when Liverpool has not.}
Yes but have Chelsea been offered him Ed because then it would be more like a hijack if he hasn't? {Ed002's Note - Why would that be?}
We have made an offer. bbc, the times and guardian have also confirmed we have made an offer. you have no idea what you're on about again do you? deal will be done end of next week, guaranteed. {Ed002's Note - I have given you the best information I have and this was my understanding when I wrote this an hour and a half ago - that no bid formal bid had been made by Liverpool. You write abusive and complaining posts every day to me and I am completely sick of you. You want to shut the site down and again, because of your constant abuse, it will be the other posters who suffer because of you.}
17 Jun 2013 14:42:08
The point is we only have an interest like all the other clubs that he has been touted too. can't hi-jack a non existant bid.
Ignore the abuser Ed. He is lying and you are right. Not one of those sources has said that Liverpool has made a bid. {Ed002's Note - This is the problem with him. He constantly abuses and lies. Soon he will be back to apologise.}
Because the media claim we've made a bid, doesn't mean we have, so stop the abuse, the Eds give the information they have. I prefer their realism to the nonsense people spout.
JA89
I am with the Ed on this.
No need for your abuse and what you have written is incorrect anyway from what I can see.
These Eds are doing a job for nothing and you only offer abuse
Go and chill out and learn some humility. It is good for the soul
Maybe a IP block for this soul and a beer for yourself
Silly Season. they come out on day release Eds, don't worry yourself.
kobi
Chelsea desperately need an Attack Midfielder, with only Oscar, Hazard, Schurrle, Piazon, Marin, Lampard and be Bruyne capable of playing there.
Seems pretty likely they would go for Mkhitaryan to me
Hi ed's, no need to bash each other or the ed's on here, we all sing for the same team so why so daft. We all have opinions, and some are useful to bring about a balanced argument/debate. I for one sit on the fence on this signing, if he does sign and Luis stays, great, if not then move on to the next. Is he that good and proven in a league - no. It is an expensive gamble but all the best to BR to build a winning team, after all this is what WE all want. Great site all. Red Baron.
Ed002 you are an ..... Tom Lad {Ed002's Note - Like you Tom, the post came from an obnoxious abuser. I this case Liam the Liar. He keeps coming back with threats to shut the site down and streams of abuse. He is the worst type of supporter as he knows every message of his leads to numerous post of decent fans being deleted. But he cares not for the fans and keeps doing it. Then we get some retromingent jerk like you supporting him. We don't want either of you on the site - and the decent fans have made it clear they don't want Liam the Liar either. Take it somewhere else Tom Lad and stop being the w*nker your father should have been.}
Love the site & believe the Eds put some serious graft in to keep the site moving with up to date info.
But they don't do it for free, one to many advertisements on each page for that.
Also Ed 002 you always get a little grouchy when CFC is mentioned, just an observation. {Ed001's Note - the rest do it for free, you obviously don't understand how little adverts make compared to the cost of running a site. It is only myself and Ed033 that earn from the sites, I just wish it did earn enough to pay the others, especially as they are doing it for free!}
Fair one I will go back to being an avid reader.

We are defo in for mkhitaryan main story on the bbc. and aparently we have agreed fee for alberto in region of 8mil€. all over spanish media
croat
Hopefully we'll get him, goal scoring midfielder is what we need.

Yeah, eds have been saying we have agreed a fee with for alberto with sevilla for awhile now.
Am impressed with the players rodgers is getting in at a good price keep up the good work breden YNWA

Hey Eds,
Another question (as always). I just read that Madrid are prepared to offer players in exchange for Suarez, specifically Benzema Di Maria, Higuian, or Lopez. Whilst Higuian isn't getting played and would probably take a move to a big club to get off the bench, do you think its likely that any of the others would be interested in a move to us bearing in mind we offer no European football w
hat so ever? And if so, what would it take to garner their interest (except for mammoth wages which we are apparently no longer prepared to offer)? {Ed002's Note - I would not expect any of them to make the move to Liverpool.}
Agree with the ed, the any 1 we could try and get is Higuain but i'd imagine he'd want CL football and has offers from Juventus, Arsenal and no doubt a few others, let's face it we ain't going to get £50M so our best chance would be to get Morata plus £30M - £35M as he does look a very good player and with Suarez going we need a striker.
How about we get 50m and bid for Soldado of Valencia and Diame of West Ham. Let's just get rid of Suarez. The more I read about him the more I become fedup with him though I thank him for wearing the liverbird badge
Well the Suarez money for sure will help us get Mkh and Papa, and then one extra player with the leftover millions.
Alvaro Morata could be makeweight
Only Alonso

Balazs Dzsudzsak's agent Jozsef Vorosbaranyi claims Liverpool and Inter Milan are among clubs interested in his client.
The 26-year-old Hungarian winger currently plies his trade with Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Premier League, where he has a contract until 31st December 2015,
Is this genuine Interest from LFC or just Agents talking up their clients Eds? {Ed002's Note - I suspect it is an old story being recycled, but Liverpool showed interest in Dzsudzsak whilst at PSV and again in January when teh club enquired after a loan. More recently Inter, Schalke and PArma have shown an interest. It would certainly not be out of teh question.}
Personally I only see him signing if Downing leaves.
17 Jun 2013 13:06:12
We are defo in for mkhitaryan. on the tv now. and aperantly we have agreed a fee for alberto in region of 8 m €
17 Jun 2013 12:33:42
Hi eds, any updates about Aubameyang? I've heard we're going to sign him! {Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath.}
He is going to Monaco.
I heard he was going to monaco
17 Jun 2013 10:22:38
Just regarding Mkhitariyan are Dortmund and Juve interested as well eds? Also have we triggered his release clause? {Ed002's Note - Shakhtar's Mkhitaryan is of interest to Liverpool, Lazio and Juventus, but the playerhas previously said he is looking for a move to Spain with Barcelona or somewhere in England, preferably London, so he can get the very high wages he says he is due. Shakhtar are looking for about €25M which seems high to me. Mkhitaryan has an agent who has used others to approach clubs in England, and now in Germany and Spain again, regarding the player. There has been interest from Liverpool and I understand the club are still keen to follow this up. Lazio and Juventus will not match the transfer fee, the expected wages, nor I doubt the fee being sought for his representation which I expect will be much higher than fans would normally expect although Juventus will look to a deal that might include players moving the other way. Mkhitaryan was offered to another English club at the beginning of June but they had no interest. I understand that there was no interest shown in the player at the price being asked by any Spanish side but I have had no feedback regarding approaches made to Dortmund and Bayern Munich at this time. For now, the interest from Liverpool will be more attractive to the player and his representatives than any interest from Italy - but time will prove to be a problem as he is continuing to be offered to other clubs.}
17 Jun 2013 11:57:18
Ed have lfc agreed a fee with his club tho?
Basy {Ed002's Note - Not yet.}
17 Jun 2013 12:34:23
Starting to warm to this player could be a top player for us just hope spurs don't pinch him because he favours a london move
Basy
Cheers for the detailed response ED002
Shame, he may only have Liverpool as a viable option. No wonder he is advertising himself like a Huyton hooker ;)

17 Jun 2013 00:06:43
Ed any truth in the rumour that we've dropped our interest in Mkhitaryan and gone for Eriksen? Cheers.
ROI. {Ed002's Note - I know nothing of it but lots of folks are saying the same thing.}
That story originated from a web site though. there probably the most unreliable site on the internet lol!
The Telegraph are tonight reporting we've made a bid for Mkhitaryan that activates his release clause
Reliable folks?
Ed is there any chance we could get both if Suarez leaves? Cheers.
ROI. {Ed002's Note - And sell Coutinho to make space in the squad?}
Sorry ed2 but do you mean lots of folks who know what they are talking about or just lots of folks?not being a p***ck but if lots of folk where sayin we had signed someone it would be blamed on Twitter or other persons. please don't take this as me having a go its not at all
pk {Ed002's Note - There are numerous people writing in saying Liverpool has signed Eriksen and Mkhitaryan was a smokescreen and some web site or Twitter has confirmed it. All I am saying is that I am well aware of and have explained the interest in HM and I have repeatedly made it clear about CE.}
There is not a cat in hells chance of us getting a player like that once top clubs able to offer CL come in for him - we will be left with the dregs - the players we have signed are signed only because the top clubs don't want them - we aren't the attraction we once were, certainly not without CL football
Am I the only one who'd prefer Mkhitaryan?
Mkhitaryan for me. I don't see in Eriksen something that we don't already possess in a slightly younger form - Suso.
Suso? Eriksen is miles above Suso
Eriksen much better
People put far to much pressure on our young players, suso has it in him to be better than most but he is still on his way yet. same goes for ibe, stirling etc.
i expect there to be one or to suprises interms of players comming in, not so much the outs as i'm sure we've got a fair enough picture of who could actualy leave.
