Hi eds, more of a general question in regards to two players. Firstly Jackson Martinez looked good against Bayern and he has been linked with Liverpool in the past I was wondering why he has never made the move from Porto to the Premier League or another top league?
Secondly to do with Hamsik I have always thought he has the perfect skills set for the Premiership, have Liverpool or any other club had interest in him and will he finally make the move this summer away from Napoli?

{Ed002's Note - Porto are prepared to cash in on Jackson Martinez with varying degrees of recent interest from Valencia, Inter, Arsenal, Roma, Napoli, Atletico Madrid and Juventus. However, whilst Porto will seek his full release clause of 40M euro but would likely need to settle for less (€36M for want of a number). Two bids from Juventus were turned down and Milan baulked at the asking price. This has left Valencia who are looking to make improvements again this summer, Napoli who have spoken with Porto and the player and have "broadly" struck a deal twice - but have struggled to get the detail finalised - and Arsenal who would need to match the Napoli deal. Spurs and Roma are still a possibility but the price will not be attractive. Atletico have certainly moved on. His agent has sounded out Manchester United to see if they are interested.

If Hamsik were to move then the EPL might well be an option. But for now that does not look like the case particularly given his issues with Benitez are seemingly over, and Benitez will be gone in a month or so.}}

As it stands who are the club viewing as serious replacements for Gerard?? Have we lined anyone up for this midfield spot or is that still work in progress?

{Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed as far as I am aware in terms of midfield targets. I understand from an ex-German international that Liverpool have watched Lars Stindl on more than one occasion this season but he has decided to reject the interest of Liverpool and will move to Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer. Milner, Khedira (looking very, very, very unlikely), Pjanic (outrageously expensive), Vazquez. Even though he has very recently extended his contract, Inter are willing to sell Kovacic and have spoken with Arsenal, Liverpool and Hertha Berlin. Nikky Vuskan has said there has not been any approach to him from any club at this time and that whilst Inter may be willing to sell the player, Kovacic wants to stay at the club. Filipe Anderson has been watched but nothing will happen with Liverpool.}

Ed002/1 I have a few transfer questions if that's okay? Have liverpool or any European club held interest or looked into;

Rafa of Braga
Kaan Ayhan of Schalke
Oguzhan Ozyakup of besitkas

These 3 players interest me as I rate them quite highly for their age.

Also Liverpool youngsters, when do you feel Brannagan, Tricket-Smith and Ojo will be ready for the 1st team? Thanks Eds as always

{Ed002's Note - Braga's Rafa Silva has been of interested to Everton, Southampton, Wolfsburg and Schalke. Bayer Leverkusen, Marseille and Spurs have had him watched but to the best of my knowledge not enquired further at this time.

PSV and Trabzonspor have made enquiries about Ozyakup.
