curious about what will happen to Reina if no one comes in for him? do you think he could be recalled and play for us again?

{Ed002's Note - He will almost certainly leave.}

Hey there eds! Very early days, but could you, mayhaps, mention some of the winger names that we are keeping in consideration for the summer? We all know that there is genuine interest in Kono that may well resurface, and perhaps in Tello if he were to become available, do you know of any other names?

Cheers!

{Ed002's Note - Abdulrahman has been suggested as an option.}

Would the same problems that stopped his move to city not exist if Liverpool moved for him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It will be two years since the failed application. Arguments can be made.}

Do you think he could be good enough forums Ed in the prem? I've looked him up on youtube, he seems very skilfull but doesn't look an out and out winger?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He would be a cheap option.}

Hey eds. Just want your opinion & possible insight into what the club are thinking about Aly Cissokho. Do you see him being offered a contract? I have seen a marked improvement in his game over the past 5 or 6 games. Defending he has been good, adding a little bit extra going forward on the overlap. The one aspect of his game I think needs a big improvement is his passing. Every time I watch him about to pass the ball, I hope for the best. It makes me real nervous.
Now with him seemingly improving every game, it looks like some of BR's man managerial magic is rubbing off. What do you think? And do know any "ITK" information on his status?
For me I wouldn't mind keeping him around. Remember, he doesn't really have any competition in that position at the moment with injuries backing up, so maybe with Enrique coming back he might develop further. Well that's my opinion.

{Ed001's Note - he has until the end of the season to win a contract mate, no decision has yet been made.}

Hi eds, I was wondering, if Liverpool are actually keeping tabs on Abdulrahman from the UAE? aswell as, do you see any potential development with Luis Muriel?

Thanks

Believable5 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Abdulrahman would be a cheap alternative to other wingers the club has looked at. Nothing has changed with Muriel.}

Luis Garcia is talking up Ivan Rakitic again. What are the chances, eds?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of interest from Liverpool.}

Hi Ed's. We are scheduled to play Sunderland on the 10th March (Monday) and they are scheduled to be in the FA cup on the 8th March. Is there a chance our game will be postponed, or is it going ahead still?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - usually that would just go ahead, because the number of fixtures at that time of the season don't really allow for much reshuffling. They could request a postponement, which we could agree to if we wished.}

I think I read it's been changed to a different date.

Agree0 Disagree0

According to the SAFC official website it's postponed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Read on the Echo that it has been postponed now. Doesn't give another date. Also says that should City beat Wigan in the Cup, our game with City will be postponed too! So much for no more midweek games. Although it gives us 2 weeks rest before the Utd game now assuming the new Sunderland fixture doesn't go inbetween and give us 3 days!

Agree2 Disagree0

I know Sunderland have to reschedule a game against Man City already so they are going to have a tough time with fixture congestion .

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland has been postponed. The good thing is that there are internationals on March 5th - so we'll play the weekend before, then our players will have 10 days or so after the internationals before Man. Utd who will have to play West Brom in between.

Anything on the Valbuena rumour?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have not spoken with Marseille about Valbuena.}

Eds I am aware that the sites reporting interest in him are not the most reliable, are they just putting it out there? I mean the guy is 29yo, he does ok in France but surely it's lazy reporters suggesting the interest.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea which sites are saying this. I'll try again - Liverpool have not spoken with Marseille about Valbuena.}

Eds, I'm sure it's probably a no, but are we interested in Swansea's Ben Davies? I know we're looking at a left-back, but I'm also aware that he'll probably have an inflated price tag, being young and British! Thanks for all the great work you guys have done!
YNWA

Believable2 Unbelievable4

{Ed001's Note - nope, he is not very well rated, last I heard. Rodgers was not keen on his laziness getting back I was told. Having made a point to watch him, after being told that, I can see why, he really doesn't make much effort to track back after getting forward.}

Alright Eds, haven't been on in a while due to how well we're playing (so there's been no need for me to moan) but I've seen us linked with Richards today and was just wondering what you made of it? I think and hope we'll let Johnson go after the World Cup to be honest and he'd be a good replacement if he can stay fit, can play CB as well. Also, any interest ever shown from us in Lallana? Cheers lads top job

Believable6 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - I think it is nonsense, his wages are ridiculous, he is never fit and has an awful attitude. We have shown plenty of interest in Lallana, he has rejected a move to us twice before now.}

How recent was the latest offer though? Because I doubt he would say "no" right now.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - why wouldn't he? He turned us down when Southampton were in League 1, now they are in the Prem you doubt he would say no?}

OK, that was around what, 2010?
So perhaps he wanted to stay because he was young, wanted to play games, loved the area and had close family/friends. Or a combination of this and more.
He would not turn down a move to Liverpool with Champions League football - 0.2% of players sitting mid-table would.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - except that he is playing for the team he supports, living in the area he grew up in and for a team with ambition to play in Europe and the financial clout to do so. He has also broken into the England team while there and is almost guaranteed to start every game he is fit for. Anyway the price would be obscene, they are not in need of money.}
