Have a little contact a Burnley who I got information off about a month ago now, but decided not to post it as was not sure it was totally correct. However, I believe it is actually Ben Mee and not tarkowski as the defender we are interested in. Let's wait and see what happens. Would surprise me as VVD and Mee play on the same side of defence and would be crazy not to play our best defender in his best position.

Same sides? They are both CBs. Ben Mee has probably had a better year slightly but the age thing would be why Tarkowski seems more likely.
We probably want neither, English players in a smaller team have a great year. English press is always going to link them to the top 4 or 5 teams.

They are both left sided centre backs, which ed001 could tell you how important that is more than me I'm sure. Saw VVD move to the right side to play with Klavan and thought he looked okay there so might not be an issue.

Lascelles from Newcastle would be my choice if we are going for English Centre Back. He has done really well under Rafa and as Captain showed leadership. I think him and Tarkowski have been targeted by the club. If Macca says Tarkowski then it looks like he's the one who they want.

Kloppshop-There is a big difference between right and left centre back position. I’m not saying that one couldn’t swap but it’s less than ideal.

Tarqowski is better than Lascelles
I’d rather than Lovren and VVD than both though and hopefully this is as a replacement for Matip / Klavan.

Tarkowski shouldn’t even be an afterthought. We all saw how poor Keane was when not playing in a team that sticks ten men behind the ball, and Tarkowski is no different. Looked well out of his depth against Italy and will be out of his depth it we sign him. Not withstanding the the fact he’s one of that mob down the road.

Craig Dawson for me to replace Matip. Let him, Lovren and Gomez fight for the position alongside VVD.
Probably will get a lot of thumbs down haha but for me he's better than Matip and Tarkowski, and is lethal attacking the ball on corners. Would be on the cheap in comparison to Alderweireld. less injury prone and younger too. My 2 cents.

A CB is needed but it's not as if we HAVE to go out and get one now imo. There's other positions need strengthening first, if we do that and then get a CB sure, bring one in but we should really consider Alderweireld if we are looking at cb's otherwise I'd be happy to see Gomez get his chance, the lad will be quality in the future and needs minutes in his preferred position, same goes for TAA in midfield, therefore we need a RB (as Ed1 has been saying for ages) before a CB.

I see zero point in signing tarkowski. He would be the worst cb at the club. Ben mee interests me more but as he is left footed I doubt it will happen.

Hi eds, read in Korean football forum. Son Heung Min could be a Klopp target. Makes sense as he German and Bundesliga trained. Maybe 60mil can prise him away from spurs. I Will take him in an instant as he is bpl proven.

He's a good player, but 60mil? he's barely worth half of that. You're right though I think he would be excellent for us and would add depth. Not a starter for me though.

Son is good, he’s a poor mans Firmino. Wouldn’t improve the team and the money would be best spent elsewhere. I know a few people on here are big fans but if he wasn’t at spurs I doubt he’d get the hype he does.

I think he's a cheaper model of Christiano Ronaldo, mannerisms his running technique, physique but without the ego. I think JK could step him to the next level and turn him into something quite special.

I think he would be the perfect squad player. He works his socks off, can play in a couple of positions can score goals and is only 25.
I am sure the marketing department would love to have a high profile Asian player in the squad!

Brover- you wouldn’t take either Vertonghan or Alderwielder? They are 2 of the best centre backs in the league. A fit Danny rose isn't a bad player and how about Erikson I would happily have him in our team feeding firmino salah and Mane.

If we could get him ed where do you see him fitting in, mane’s slot with mane dropping deeper al la Coutinho role in mid or litterally roatation, I do suppose with so much quality roumoured will help our style of play lasting the 90mins, having such attacking subs would be great.

Heya ed2, hope you are well today, I'm sure you'd love to make some of these requests diasappear (just like all blemishishes with a few careful applications of Thera-blem) but I was wondering if you had any thoughts on creating any sharkopods in the near future? I appreciate you are a very busy man and the work that goes into it is immense (and worth it because they are hilarious) . I know you said a while ago it was a no go, if that's still the case, a total shame but I completely understand why.

As there is a Royal wedding today, that will see the bond between the English and German nations strengthen, you will no doubt by on tenderhooks until you get to see Ms Merkel's wonderful dress.
