1. Milan have cooled their interest in Dejan Lovren, acc. to very reliable Fabrizio Romano.

2. Acc. to Melissa Reddy, Liverpool will not sanction the sale of Divock Origi during this transfer window - even if it means losing him on a free next summer.
His representatives have been in discussions with the club over fresh terms.

Really can't see Liverpool not trying to offload Origi if he won't sign a contract extension. That doesn't make any business sense.

So much of negativity about Origi. The lad has worked his socks off to get back into Klopp's plans.

As it is, Klopp does not field a natural striker. So why on earth would Klopp want to get rid of Origi when Studge has left?

Semifinal and Final scorer for gid sakes! He deserves a new deal and gametime. Kept himself fit and firing when needed, no groaning either. Is immensely talented and definitely an asset to our team. Give him a deal rather than wasting money on a, b, c targets who may or may not cut it.

Would never understand the panic about Origi myself. Before his injury at Everton, we all saw what he could do when confident as he effectively put Studge on the bench. We all know he's yet to reach that height of confidence but in there clearly lies a decent player.

They say his hold up play is bad, his passing is bad and so on but what do you expect from a player who's often used as a super sub? Many keep talking about City's back up striker in Gab Jesus but is he even that much of an upgrade over Origi? That lad is one of the many reasons we call no. 6 with joy today. He and Matip deserves not just a new deal but a raise!

Agree6 Disagree1

20 Jun 2019 20:02:38
Matip deserves a new contract if his current one is nearing the end, but definitely not a raise. He's already on high wages due to him coming on a bosman, so there'll be no need to be giving him a raise.

Gabriel Jesus is an upgrade on Origi. Hope we keep him, mind you.

Origi will be kept and his detractors will have to get over it.

Good morning or afternoon which ever part of the world you reside from.

Liverpool are close to completing a deal
for Bruno Fernandes of Sporting Lisbon.

The deal isn't directly linked with Rafael Camacho going the other way, two totally separate deals.

Have a good day

We've got
Henderson
Wijnaldum
Fabinho
MIlner
Keita
Oxlade-Chamberlain
Lallana

All of whom when fully fit are starters and all vying for 3 places.
We need to lose at least one as it is. At the moment it's Lallana
who has unfortunately fallen down the pecking order.
I seriously hope this rumour is bs. We do not need another midfielder.

Agree4 Disagree24

19 Jun 2019 14:03:46
People keep coming out with all these midfielders we have but if we want to go to the next level we need to be ruthless.

We have 3 attacking midfielders. Keita, Lallana and Ox. The only one who has proven he is good enough is Ox, and none of them have proven they can be relied on 30 games a season. If there is a chance to sign a player with 32 goals and 18 assists from midfield, you don't turn them down to remain loyal to players who had little to no impact over the last 12 month's.

Milner, Henderson, Gini and Fabinho are our only midfielders who earned their salaries last season and they're all better as box to box / holding midfielders.

Agree25 Disagree7

19 Jun 2019 14:20:11
Odd thing Liverpool would be spending valuable time scouting a player, they don't have the need for then.

Agree0 Disagree7

{Ed001's Note - why would that be odd? Teams have to scout players because you never know when you might need one. Illness or injury can end a player's career at any moment, for example.}

19 Jun 2019 14:34:17
We need another attacking midfielder in my opinion, we have enough forwards but no AM.

This is how i see your list above
Henderson - Box 2 box / DM
Wijnaldum - Box 2 box
Fabinho - DM
MIlner - Box 2 Box / AM (But ageing won't be a major starter)
Keita - Box 2 box
Oxlade-Chamberlain - AM (Coming back from a heavy layoff)
Lallana - Should be sold, as can't be relied upon.

From how i seen it we only have 2 AM one of which is ageing and will possibly only have 1 more season and Ox who has just come back from a long injury and could easily get a few niggles keeping him out for short periods. That means we are back to just Box 2 box midfielders and DM with little creativity coming from the midfield. I know a lot of our chances come from our fullbacks, but we need to have more options in attacking, someone to play balls through the defence. Although i do believe this is one of Keita's strong points in his game, so hopefully he steps up there.

Isn't Henderson managing an injury aswell?

19 Jun 2019 14:57:57
Are we doing it ed? Or is it going to be another fekir. oh no i just jinxed us😣😣😣.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I am not entirely sure I understand the question. All of Liverpool’s efforts (as far as the fans are concerned) appear to be working on Pepe to replace Salah, Mbappe to replace Pepe and Dembele to replace Mbappe (or something like that.}

19 Jun 2019 15:16:09
I said it before and i will say it again, if we do not REFRESH our squad this window, we will end up like Spurs.
Lallana and to some extent Ox cannot be relied on. Lallana is past his best and Ox just coming back from an injury where he gets his speed from.
So tell me why we can't scout and bid for Fernandes and the like?

Agree8 Disagree12

19 Jun 2019 15:24:22
I think we are all just guessing and trying to piece together our transfer strategy for this summer mate to be fair. I am no different however I do realise we won’t be signing Pépé, Fernandez and the likes of.

Agree1 Disagree6

{Ed002's Note -We will see.}

I must admit, I did giggle when I saw the Metro linking us to Mbappe.

19 Jun 2019 16:01:50
So we have the highest points total in the history of the club AND win a champs league at the same time and everyone wants to suddenly change the first 11?

Whether flashy or not that first 11 IS capable of winning a title and probably will. But if start changing players we will also affects tactics and team chemistry.

Personally I hope we don't sign anyone for the first 11. We need viable back ups not starting 11.

Agree6 Disagree13

19 Jun 2019 16:57:04
Nevada we don’t need to replace the starting 11 but we do need cover for both full backs as they can’t play 50+ Games each. Same with the front 3 we need cover and possibly a creative midfielder.

Agree6 Disagree0

19 Jun 2019 17:23:07
Personally hoping we sign Fernandes. I think he would be a great complement to a great squad. Lallana probably needs to move for game time but I still believe in him when fit. Keita I was expecting a lot of but a year in England not comfortable with the language would be tough for many players. Cost so much go can't just give up on him, and hopefully he will prosper next season. Fekir is a good option in lieu of Fernandes and Ox is always there.

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Jun 2019 17:24:56
That's why I said I hope we just sign viable subs Virgil. But anyone thinking fernandes, Pepe etc are coming to be subs is a bit mistaken.

There is a good argument made by MSMP on discussion page regarding injury history of our few players.
It's worth a look!

Agree9 Disagree5

{Ed001's Note - can you stick with MSMP or this account and stop swapping between them. They have the same IP and tried to post the same injury history post, so it is clearly you swapping between accounts. The T&Cs are clear - one account only, so pick one and the other will be deleted.}

Apart from goalkeeper. I don’t believe in “back ups”.

A top team should have a strong squad which are all capable of pushing for a 1st team place. Not 11 players and some back ups .

Love it when someone gets owned on here. So funny. Firminosteeth’s teeth one was the highlight of last summers transfer window for me. Even more so than signing Allison and that’s saying something.

19 Jun 2019 01:45:13
I have heard Liverpool are interested in Pedro Rebocho from Guningamp.

From what I can see online, he’s a Portuguese left back, could be good cover for Robbo and probably wouldn’t cost the world.

He even got 8 assists last year in the league!

Anyway, I’m not ITK or anything just what I was told by a chap at work.

19 Jun 2019 10:54:15
Sounds plausible at least.
Can't decide whether it's claptrap or hogwash from the Echo who say Junior Firpo or Philipp Max are tipped as possible left-back options for Liverpool. Well, they're left-backs but that's where the relevance ends. Both would want to be first choice and we've got that covered already. Just stop printing this crap.

19 Jun 2019 14:58:39
Have heard from my agent. Liverpool would like me as a second choice gk. anyones fine itseems. ali is going to play every game anyway😂😂😂.

He is going to Olympique de Marseille. Villa Boas wants him. Apparently both him and the player share the same agent; as well as of course both from Portugal.

Don't they both play on the left side? So probably a non-starter.

I'm assuming Lovren is close to completing a move to Italy, so they are linking us to CBs.

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Jun 2019 10:30:34
He'd cost more than VVD and he also plays on the left side of the defence which is where VVD plays. We also have Gomez who impressed immensely alongside VVD before injury, so I'd rather just stick with what we have, maybe move Lovren on for a homegrown option or an experienced player willing to rotate and push Gomez to keep improving.
