Anything on Tello in the upcoming window ? Will he be going back to Barca or do we have a chance ?

He has been doing well in Portugal, and is still young. Macca wrote last year about the strong interest from us, but it all disappeared. Did he flatly refuse to join us or was there other factors ?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool moved on - it is not going happen. Tello will look to stay at Porto.}

Hi eds, is their any interest in Yarmolenko or Veloso of Dinamo Kiev, thanks.

{Ed001's Note - not recently from us.}

I see the FA have been their usual thoughful selves again when setting the FA Cup semi final dates. The two closest teams to Wembley get the Saturday 5:30pm kick off whilst those having to travel hundreds of miles from the midlands and the north west get the 3pm Sunday kick off.
WHY do they never consider the fans, and show a bit of common sense.

To be fair, you won't get home so late

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Interestingly this would likely have been a driver - the last train situation. More sensibly make it 3PM on a Saturday for those from far away places and 5:30 on a Sunday for the folks who live nearby. It is only a game so not to worry.}

Morning ed

Any truth in the salvio rumours, if so I'd imagine it being sterlings replacement at that price.

Also what about the papadopoulous rumours, or is that just recycled news?

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - Benfica have made it clear that they will be willing to let Salvio leave if any club match the release clause that Portuguese clubs would need to pay. €60million is not insignificant. The player's representatives want that reduced to €40M but he would need to then take a pay cut which he is not prepared to do. Zenit St Pete and Manchester United have both kept a watching brief but neither would want to get involved at the asking price. I am not aware of Liverpool having a spare €60M right now. He very nearly moved to Everton a couple of years ago.

There was previous interest from Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Dortmund but all of these clubs walked away due to cost or injury and they all purchased other centre backs. I don't understand why the Liverpool fans are asking about him again - perhaps this is something in a newspaper or ion Twitter, but I am not aware of interest at this time - particularly from a club that is overrun with centrebacks.}

Just paper talk regarding papa, didn't think we would look at again but at €7mil maybe not a bad shout.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The club already has well respected young centre backs like Lloyd Jones and Paez who cannot get in to the side in addition to first team centre backs Kolo Touré, Lovren, Sakho, Skrtel and loaned out Coates and Ilori. If Rodgers just wants padding for the squad, it strikes me as a great deal of money - but with Kyriakos Papadopoulos you do get a lot of padding for your money. I would be a little surprised if Liverpool were looking at him again, but far from surprised if Rodgers were to simply spend more money for what appears to be the sake of it.}

I can't imagine why LFC keep looking at wingers/attacking midfielders; we already have too many of them in our squad IMO.

Well if there are out goings lovren ilori kolo could all go it may be possible

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There appears to be no intention to sell Lovren and at the price Liverpool paid there would be no interest. Toure has been offered a new contract and will be considering his options. Ilori is out on loan because the club screwed up when the bought him and don't have a place for him. I agree he may well leave and I am aware of interest in him. Only Rodgers could be stupid enough to replace a loan player with a player for the first team squad so you might be right. It makes zero sense and Liverpool has other uses for that money.}

Hi eds just wondering what your thoughts on sterling leaving in the summer are. do you think he will leave?? Also is there any interest in naingoolan? what's your opinion of him? Thanks

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - as I keep saying, I expect Sterling to stay as things stand. There is little chance of signing Nainggolan, the price is high, though I would like him myself. He does look a good player.}
