Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone is aware what the plan with Flanagan is?

He was sent on loan, apparently with some sort of weird clause about having to play a certain percentage of games, but hasn't started a game since October.

Does he have a future at Liverpool or is he one more to be added to the scrap heap?

Cheers all

Doesn't have a future, he's struggled to get any real game time this season, championship is his level

He's just not quality at all, with Klopp's system you need full backs who are suited to playing like wingers in possession and bombing forward at any given moment. He's simply not good enough or suited to a team who has aspirations to be challenging for trophies. If he wasn't a local lad people the majority of people would judge him completely differently.

It baffles me how many people still rate him, he had a fairly good season in 13/ 14 but his all round game just isn't up to standard, love the guys passion and commitment but we need to take off the red specs. I think he has made 5 appearances at Burnley, just not good enough for a club who have ambitions of being CL regulars.

Unfortunately injuries have hampered his career but I wouldn't rule out if he comes back into form he could become very useful to a PL club, but suspect unlikely at liverpool as he's primarily defensively minded.

{Ed025's Note - which is just what you need zimbo..

Still technically a Liverpool player so he gets my support but I do believe he'll be off probably in the summer. Good player but not for us. Championship level? No, would fit right in with a team like stoke.

He was brilliant 13/ 14 season and has struggled with injuries since, he hasn't been seen for past couple years so how can anyone really judge him. where he's from has nothing to do with it. that's a massive chip on some people's shoulders.

Quality. Ignore loans. Unless there is a certain clause to buy him you donr build your tem around someone who isn't going to be here next yearm

A loan is usually just to bulk uo the numbers ans cover your first team.

Fair play but I don't think that's what Klopp has in mind is what I meant.

{Ed025's Note - liverpools biggest problem is the defence zimbo and flanno cant be much worse than whats there at the moment mate..

Agree with 25 Flanno for me is an improvement on all 3 current fullbacks that we have. It wasn't a 1 off season really where he looked good, even when called into action at 17 he kept Theo Walcott and his pace in his pocket all game, and played well when given opportunities in other games at 17/ 18.
Injuries have hampered him, so he hasn't been able to pla, He's looked good when I;ve watched his appearances at Burnley too, sadly he's only there to fill out their squad and give it depth. He certainly looks better than Lowton when gien chaces.

Flanno might not be the greatest footballer but what he brings to the table is passion and desire which you won't see from him unless he is wearing a red shirt! He is a true Liverpool fan that will put it on the line for the club and its in the games against the lesser teams that he could be invaluable for us.

Just think back to the game we beat Arsenal 6-1 he had us up and at em from the first minute and was arguably man of the match against one of the best footballing sides in the league. talent only takes you so far on matchday the rest comes down to heart and Flanno has plenty of that. something we havelacked and has cost us games this season. Its a shame that so called fans will slate off one of the only true Liverpool fans at the club.

Can you see Flanno been given a chance at Liverpool?

Flanno is too slow both physically and mentally. Gets done by pace snd tricks every time and offers little going forward.
