Hi ed, do you think borini, skrtel an wisdom will all go out on loan tomorrow? I know we got three players coming in but I really hope we get another attacker in I thought the bench looked a bit light weight today {Ed002's Note - I am not expecting Skrtel to go on loan.}

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Are you expecting him to be sold? I thought he did well against united {Ed002's Note - We'll see Sam but with eight centre backs in the first team squad it would not be a shock to see some pruning and there is interest in a couple of them from elsewhere - as has been explained on numerous occasions.}

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2013 21:55:18
So here we have it all the rumours that Real Madrid have now made an offer for Suarez. We didn't see this one coming, did we? Have you heard anything about this Ed002? {Ed002's Note - I am expecting an offer and Real Madrid being keen to negotiate - we may have been here before.}

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Do you think money plus morata ed? {Ed002's Note - I have explained the options - and I doubt Morata is one unless the cash drops considerably.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Oh well see what tomorrow brings

Agree0 Disagree0

How much do you reckon they will offer ed? {Ed002's Note - MAn this has been trashed already.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll take di maria, £10m + Morata on loan.

Agree0 Disagree1

I heard Real will offer £45 million and we'll sign Abel Hernandez and Andriy Yarmolenko for about £50 million but this was from dodgy gossip columns and crud sources.

I also Read Arsenal want Abel Hernandez. Personally, i'll be happy to sell Suarez as long as we get someone in who is able to score goals, I understand they won't be as exciting and dynamic but as long as they can chip in. It's about the squad not the individual.

Agree0 Disagree2

We should tell madrid to f**k off and come back earlier next time. don't want another panic buy like when torres went or no replacement like with carrols loan

Agree2 Disagree1

Hi eds. Do u think the 3 impending transfers will definitely happen? Getting tetchy now. can't take any more! {Ed002's Note - I cannot say 100% but I do expect all to go through.}

Believable3 Unbelievable3

01 Sep 2013 19:35:16
ed002 with borini moving to sunderland on loan(meant to be having a medical this evening) do you see us buying another attacker on top of moses? {Ed002's Note - Clubs don't typically buy in players to replace those on loan, they buy in players to replace those who are leaving or who have left. As an example, if Borini goes on loan, maybe Ibe, Morgan or one of the kids will get a shot. Continuing the example, if Suarez were to leave maybe an available forward, like Torres or Lewandowski, would come in.}

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Ed002, having mentioned Lewandowski. is he a likely target should Suarez leave?

Thanks man {Ed002's Note - No. It was an example of a player available.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh Ed002 did you have to mention Torres, here come the Torres posts again {Ed002's Note - It is always good to give examples of players that are available. Torres is available and there is a very good chance he could be sold today. Many, many posters here still crave his return.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Taking the emotion out of things, as an alternative for the role Sturridge plays Torres is a similar player. For the right deal it wouldn't be the worst signing.

He scored twenty goals last season and there aren't many strikers who did that in the Prem and are available.

INS; Moses, Illori, Sakho, Damaio
OUTS; Skrtel, Suarez plus loans.

01 Sep 2013 22:56:58
Do you have any potential striker names Ed001? Or a hunch of who we will go for?

Thanks {Ed001's Note - I don't want to guess, so nothing mate, not even sure if it is not a left sided forward to allow Moses to be the cover central too.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Cheers bud. What do you think would be an acceptable fee for LS/what do you think the club will take? Or what might RM offer with 42m in the bank from Ozil? {Ed002's Note - They will look to get to the negoitaing table and offer up the players I mentioned the other day. There is nothing unexpected about this Burnsy. Did you figure out the anagram earlier?}

Agree1 Disagree0

That's good to hear Ed002. Which anagram is this? I can never figure then out, you know me. {Ed002's Note - It is the secret on Burnsy. Think laterally - what would Gordon Shumway do?}

Agree0 Disagree0

I haven't a clue - but that's maybe because I've never heard of that person! This isn't the anagram/clue regarding a bid from Barca for Agger is it? (Which is why we bid lots more than others for Sakho so Agger can go?) {Ed002's Note - See it as a learning prcess B.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps you'll eventually teach me to be like Sherlock Holmes? {Ed002's Note - You are beginning to get it. Obviously not Sherlock Holmes as he is just a fictional character. I was thinking of grooming you to be like a cross between my late radio presenting buddy, Mike Dickin, and Howard the Duck - a real life super-hero.

Hi eds, with the trio of signings inbound, do you expect perhaps one more signing? Perhaps another attacking player such as Yarmolenko? Is there/was there any serious interest in him?

Cheers {Ed001's Note - there is one more forward being sought, I don't know who it is, but there is very serious interest.}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Thanks ed, with today's result couples with the business already done this window, and the possibility of another player to come in, this year could actually be ours?! {Ed001's Note - I would love that to be right, but I don't see that happening, though this is our best chance in about 6 years with everyone else chopping and changing.}

02 Sep 2013 08:12:29
Hey ed, is this other forward we are looking for only if suarez leaves {Ed001's Note - I believe so.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi eds
this forward u guys r talking about is he going to arrive only IF suarez leaves or is he arriving irrespective of suarez's future {Ed001's Note - I believe he is intended to replace Suarez.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I belive it will be damio and yarlamenko(spelling) if suarez leaves

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2013 22:38:07
There's going to be a bid for Suarez coming I. From Madrid tomorrow. Expect Liverpool to reject it but there is a chance for one last twist in this window!

Believable7 Unbelievable10

If they can give players and cash then we should consider it I think

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Sep 2013 22:08:45
Rumour is RM are about to bid for Suarez.

Unsure on the fee or whether it'll be accepted.

I'm sure the eds will have some more detailed info on this. {Ed001's Note - which is why we are still trying to sign a forward. Let's face it, Suarez may as well go now, he will struggle to get in the side ;o) don't want him even more whiney warming the bench.}

Believable7 Unbelievable15

Ed001

Whilst I've always held the belief that Suarez will/would be sold, irrespective of John Henry's - he is not for sale, statement, surely you aren't suggesting that a fit Suarez would not be in the team ahead of Aspas? yes he may or may not cause Rodgers a headache in terms of playing style, but Aspas is not in Suarez's league (even as it stands now).

I'll agree the squad does look happy and harmonious, may to do with Suarez's absence I don't know, but over the course of the season I'd sooner have Suarez in rather then some unknown who simply may not up to the standard - just my opinion. {Ed001's Note - it was a joke mate.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers Ed001.

Reading it this morning I can see it was tongue and cheek . I'll admit when I posted it was late and I had been enjoying the win with more then a few!

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers Ed001, it was late and I'll admit to having

Hi Eds, Eds 001 or 002, I read a report from a spanish journo saying that Suarez to Madrid is almost done. Do you think a deal has been discussed under the radar between the two clubs or is it just speculative writing? Sorry to bash on about Suarez. {Ed001's Note - I am not aware of it being almost done, but I would not be surprised if they made a fresh bid for him.}

Believable0 Unbelievable10

01 Sep 2013 20:49:03
Hi eds, any idea if the llori, sakho and Moses deals have been completed yet? Do you think apart from those three there will be any other arrivals? {Ed001's Note - they are pretty much done, medicals are the main hold up now.}

Believable5 Unbelievable1

01 Sep 2013 20:36:27
Eds was just wondering which other clubs were chasing Llori?

Thanks {Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry.}

Eds: Great to see the trio of signings at Anfield today. Do you think we will buy or sell anyone else? {Ed001's Note - possibly. Hard to be sure, a lot will depend on who leaves now.}

01 Sep 2013 21:27:58
Anyone know if ibe, sterling or both will head out onloan.

Believable4 Unbelievable14

01 Sep 2013 22:04:55
No they will be back up {Ed001's Note - Ibe is only 17.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I cannot think of a single sensible reason to loan either of them out. Our squad isn't that deep and they'll get game time at Anfield this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Neither. Ibe is too young, and Sterling is needed

Agree3 Disagree0

Can't see both going out. Maybe Sterling. Pool don't seem to have success with loans in or out. Most players who go out don't ever come back

Agree0 Disagree0

Ibe is too young to be loaned out.

Heard a rumour that Pastore is of to Italy somewhere an PSG will move for Suarez tomorrow as replacement, probably complete crap they don't play in the same position, but it's just something I heard.

Believable3 Unbelievable15

Yeah it's complete crap!

Eds, I assume with the appearance of the 3 players in the VIP box, that they will be the last of the signings? {Ed001's Note - maybe.}

Believable12 Unbelievable7

Ed do you know of some behind the scenes bid, or do you just think another player may sign? {Ed001's Note - there is an attempt to sign a forward, not convinced it will come to anything, nor am I convinced it is Damiao.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe? Right what have you heard ed001? Spill the beans! {Ed001's Note - just that was are still chasing another forward player, I just don't know who it is.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Would you take munian ed001? Heard whispers we could look for a deal? {Ed001's Note - hell yes, though he does have a bit of an attitude off the field.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Didn't think he would be remotely a possibility after Blbao sold the rest of their strike force this summer. Would be a great signing looks a real talent.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yarmolenko ed? {Ed001's Note - I have no idea.}

Hi Eds, Just wondering if you know why Eriksen eventually joined Spurs? Did he want to go there in preference to us or did BR not truly rate him? Because £12M seems a price we could easily have beaten if we really wanted him. We seemed to be in for him for months and months but then went for Mkhitaryan (who has been brilliant for Dortmund). Just wondering as I think he would have made a great addition to the squad. Thanks for all the work. {Ed002's Note - Liverpool never made a bid for Eriksen. It is seen as a key part to any transfer.}

Believable3 Unbelievable9

Lol ed002. It is definitely crucial to make a bid for a player if we want to sign him.

Agree2 Disagree0

Its a massive response from spurs to get 6 players from bale.

Agree2 Disagree2

It is good signing 6 players but just wondering what wage bill from letting Bale go and all them, surly must be putting all hopes on getting into champions league!?

Agree0 Disagree0

Any player that signs for any club other than us someone asks why we wouldn't just pay for him. Even if we never bid or if the guy plays in a position we don't want cover in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not quick enough to play out wide and we've got cover in the role he would be signed for so why squander the money better used for other areas. Ie LW.

Hi Ed002,
any reason Liverpool`s linked with Given knowing Jones is here? thanks. {Ed002's Note - I know nothing of any interest Liverpool has in Given.}

Believable2 Unbelievable11

In BR's post match interview he said that he was hoping to sign Shay Given, however, he added, it may well 'go down to the wire' tomorrow.

Agree2 Disagree2

Because Brad Jones isn't good enough if Mignolet were to get a serious injury

Agree5 Disagree1

01 Sep 2013 16:20:40
hi edds, are spurs willing to let townsend and dembele go now that they have all their new players? not saying we should buy them but both would be great signings {Ed002's Note - Spurs have cleared out a lot of midfield players already. Huddlestone, Parker, Livermore and Dempsey - I doubt others will be leaving.}

Believable1 Unbelievable10

01 Sep 2013 10:58:19
ed002 is there any truth in the story that borini could go on loan to sunderland? {Ed002's Note - I would doubt that Liverpool would be looking to loan Borini out at this time.}

Believable18 Unbelievable18

Is Borini injured today because he isn't on the bench? Seems strange to leave him out of the squad when the bench looks thin? Could be some legs to the loan rumour

Agree3 Disagree2

Borini is not even on the bench today, so there might be some truth to it.

Agree3 Disagree0

Strange that he's not on the bench Ed, I don't think he's injured, which again is a little strange? My nose is twitching. The bench is full of kids today, which is brilliant and a great learning curve for all of them. The atmosphere will be amazing

Agree2 Disagree1

I've heard that Roma might be keen on Borini. No idea how accurate that is though.

Agree5 Disagree0

Ed2 - he has already agreed a Sunderland loan deal!

Agree1 Disagree1

Read somewhere yesterday he actually asked to be loaned out for playing time. with Moses coming in he would fall further down for a chance to get any quality playing time.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Sep 2013 00:23:41
Hello ed001, yesterday I sqw you mentioning that Moses is just one of our attacking targets. Can you tell me in who are we interested next to Moses? And who do you belive we will sign? :)

And to add: can't wait for the match! I think this will be a real test and could be a season changing match. Imagine that we win and take 1st place in league that would boost our morale and make team even stronger. What do you think ed, do you see us getting CL spot this season?

Thanks and have a good night. {Ed001's Note - I don't know mate, Moses is the only one I know of definite interest in, though even that is cloudy as Everton are interested and I am still keeping my fingers crossed there is a mix up!}

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Why do you hope there is a mix up? Moses would be a good addition to the squad! Just look at todays bench!
Of course we all would like a star signing, but Moses will improve the squad and offer something to the first 11.

Agree1 Disagree0

Moses was in the stands today so looks like its definitely moses who's coming in may be a good move ill support the lad I think he may do ok ans gives ibe and sterling 1 more year I was hoping for turan but after today just proves we can beat any 1

Agree1 Disagree0

Not sure what you have against him Eds. He isn't the top quality player I was quite hoping for, but would I pick him about sterling and Ibe? Yes I would. He has some excellent attacking qualities, and is strong on the ball. Plus I put £10 on at 20/1 about a week ago :-)

Agree1 Disagree1

01 Sep 2013 02:13:00
The Guardian are reporting that the Moses deal is done and that a £1M fee will be paid, there is no option to buy included. He "rejected" West Bromwich Southampton and Everton. Hope he is a shrewd a deal as Coutinho and Sturridge, and that we can make it permanent if that's the case. Loving the end of this window if it goes as it seems at the moment. :) {Ed002's Note - The deal is not done yet but will likely be completed.}

Believable17 Unbelievable8

MOses is a technically gifted player with speed and strength and I am in no doubt that he will be a success at Anfield.

Agree2 Disagree0

I would have liked to see a slightly more permanent LW player joining us but as that is now unlikely I think Moses will do okay. I'm personally not a fan of the player but I hope he does well for the club.

Agree1 Disagree0

If he is successful at Liverpool than I expect us to be able to make it a permanent deal for around £6M as he will want to stay and he knows he is unlikely to get in the Chelsea team ahead of Hazard, Oscar, Mata, De Bruyne, Schurlie or even Atsu.

Agree0 Disagree1

Ed do you know if there will be an option to buy or is it just purely a loan? thanks {Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Well Moses cost Chelsea around £9 million so he clearly has some ability but he also has a physical presence. Sometimes a bit of muscle comes in handy and we are a bit short of power in the squad. I can think of players I'd prefer but if this goes through we've got him for a season and he's another option on the pitch isn't he?

Agree0 Disagree0

If he is a success I doubt we will get him for 6M.More like double that.

Agree0 Disagree0

I really liked Moses when he was at Wigan and felt we missed out when he went to Chelsea. I think he is powerful, technically gifted and quick, and he will work his socks off for 90minutes. I think he could be a success at Liverpool and will certainly fit BR's style over Moaninho's.

Sturridge, Coutinho, Aspas, Suarez, Moses, Sterling, Ibe

I really like the look of that, and if we do get another (Yarmolenko? unlikely I know) then that group is top top quality

Agree1 Disagree0

Just curious what level of interest LFC had/have in Ben Arfa? Seems a much better option than Moses.

That injury prone stuff is BS, we thought Alonso was injury prone and he should us at Madrid (I know it's ironic he's injured now).

Believable13 Unbelievable13

Ben Arfa is so talented but he hit or miss! When he's good he's unstoppable but when he's poor he is awful. His injuries are also a worry as when he looks finally flying fit he gets another injury. After each injury he seems to take a while to get back to his best too. Must admit though he is a joy to watch no matter what!

Agree2 Disagree1

Doesn't seem fancied due to inconsistency. I have watched him a few times and he drifts during a full 90mins but no doubting the talent is there.
Buck would be good with him as he likes the arm around the player pep talks which I think would do him the world of good.

Moses seems to be done deal unless anything changes in. Next couple of days so guessing this won't happen
Daniellambretta

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally would be very happy with Ben arfa, fast, skillful, scores goals and premier league ready. Injuries can be worked on (RVP etc) and don't think being at Newcastle helps his form. Their team is very inconsistent and tbf leaves him having to try and do a lot on his own.
