Hey Ed, I posted about the fact that nesv are looking to capitalize on their ownership of Liverpool in the short term and to have maximum price when they execute their exit strategy, and to be honest I was slightly offended but then I guess you grow a thick skin over the having to listen to some of the stuff on here, especially those normally written by the likes of Blair et al.

Anyway a couple of points you guys should check up on are there already in the public domain and then you can draw your own limited conclusions.

First off MArtin Broughton said he could not enforce the terminology of the club not being "saddled with debt" as he didn't believe he could actually make a legal binding contract stick .

John Henry, if anyone can care to remember when asked a few months ago about debt being accrued on the club was a guaranteed no no . .he smiled said a few of the things that people wanted to hear but then admitted that it could not be guaranteed. .

Rbs offered nesv a financial package to assist with the "purchase" of the club, nesv had accepted certain assistance from them, but they being a consortium of some 17 individuals and companies etc didn't take the amount offered as various individuals made cash availae from other company hedgefunds etc. again all this can be checked with a bit of patience and resources.

The club will be ae to be sold under the right & proper persons test set by the F.A. . when nesv passed this test, the F.A. were made aware of a rumour that nesv were planning to sell within a set time period but they chose not to follow up because they couldn't actually stop the process anyway because of the royal bank of Scotland's "insistence" that they recoup their money.

Again if you do a bit of research I'm sure some of you can find the relevant info. .I'm lucky enough to have a few contacts in places not only in anfield and London but also the media, and if anyone doubts this you can twitter Dan roan or Paul tomkins (although the latter is a blogger, and wi probably deny it) but trust me certain things at nesv are not being reported because to a certain extent a lot of them are worried of a mass orchestrated campaign against them that hicks and gillett witnessed when they tried to refinance.
So good luck

Jesus, this is worse than the last post, no wonder the editor derided you, come out of your fantasy world, firstly. . we have no debt, secondly we all know NESV could sell up if they receive a decent return on their investment(which won't be for 5 years until the club is transformed from top to bottom again, lastly. . . . .YOU DON'T HAVE ANY SOURCES AT ANFIELD DO YOU. . .? , PERHAPS MATRON WILL GIVE YOU A SEDATIVE BEFORE YOU GO TO BED!

Nesv will not be able to sell for at least one year. .they are a "consortium" made of 17 people and will soon be expanding.

The new "partner" will effectively be the one who will purchase the club.

Why do you think they have not appointed a CEO? Because they are still waiting to see if the new "partner" has decided who it should be .

Although rumours suggest that David Dein is the fore runner

Ed what's the odds of NESV selling up? {ed's note - quickly? About as high as me dating Angelina Jolie, so pretty high I think ;o). In the long term I have no idea and nor will anyone else, even NESV won't be sure what they will definitely do, they will have plans in place for both keeping and selling for the future. I am sure they will be constantly re-evaluating their position over and over to make sure they are getting the most from their investment or whether they would best selling up.}

We won't get hazard, hes already said he would love to join arsenal, he could wait till the summer when arsenal would probably go for him wenger has said he won't be buying this winter, , so hazard might wait till the summer and then get his move to arsenal. .- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

ah yes but eden hazard has said very positive things bout liverpool and said its hard not 2 go there and he has great respect for us. he also said he wd defo need 1st team football which he knows he won't get at arsenal so im pretty positive bout him

yeah he has respect but the team he wants is arsenal, , he won't be leaving till summer anyway hes already stated that, , , and arsenal would be a team who would want him, , he believes he would get games at arsenal cos arsen wenger is big on playing young players in his team and hes right, i think with his talent hed get games easy at both arsenal and liverpool, if both go for him in summer he will more than likely go for arsenal, , better position in the league than us, , champions league football, and they thrive off youngsters like him

First of all, sorry for my English. I am this German guy, who has been on this site lately.

Honda is my favourite player (love his so-called "Mukaiten"-freekicks) and I would dance on my table (not literally) if he would join us. Since I have collected some information and made some thoughts about his activities in the next weeks, I would like to share them with you.

The Asian Cup starts on 7th January and the final is on 29th January. Since Japan is one of the favourites, it is likely that Honda will play in the Asian Cup til the end of the January. I do not think that it would be possible to sign him in this time and the last two days of January would not be enough time to sign him.

So if we are really going to sign him, it has to happen BEFORE the 7th January.

According to Japanese media, the Japanese national team will meet on 28th December to go to a training camp to prepair for the Asian Cup. It is also unlikely that he would leave the national team during the preparation time, so the deal has to be done BEFORE the 28th December.

Furthermore, there will be a television show about Honda on 26th December. Unfortunately, I do not know whether or not it is live. If it is, Honda has to be in Japan on this day, of course.

As a conclusion we have to sign Honda THIS WEEK, if he is really going to join us and the deal is not done yet. The next days would be the last possibilty to present him before the Asian cup.

However, the weather in England might make things complicate. Since I do not live there, I do not know how the situation is, but I assume that many flights are cancelled, aren't they? I do not know how and where the signing will be done, but it will certainly be difficult to meet Honda since he is in Japan at the moment.

These are my thoughts about the signing of Honda, I hope I have not misunderstood any date, because I can not speak Japanese and have to rely on Google translation.

If I can get new information, I will share them you.

Cassano is in fact signing for AC Milan tomorrow (22nd). We can also forget Bojan Krkic as he has extended his contract with Barcelona by 2 years until 2015. His buy-out price is 100 million euros. Why any player would agree to such a high fee is a complete mystery to me. We have all seen that some players change their minds long before the end of their contract. Whatver happens Bojan is stuck with Barcelona now for the next five years.

Imo vagner love + honda for 18 mllion would be a good bit of buisness :/ ?

{Editor's Note: So you would risk losing Honda if Wagner Love did not want to move?}

well why would he not want to move? big club and obvioulsy doesn't like cska if hes been out on loan twice

{Editor's Note: I would have serious reservations about the player. Too much baggage. I can't see him considering a move to England either.}

Just a thought, if Rafa is truly on the verge of getting the axe at Inter, then what is the chance of him going to Blackburn? They are managerless and there are claims on this sight (rumours) that he will move back to his house on the Wirral. The new Indian owners are obviously very ambitious judging by their treatment of Big Sam (who did well there). Just putting 2 and 2 together. Imagine Rafa's reception at Anfield first time back!

Liverpool are looking to bring in 5 players in the January transfer window, they are:
– Santi Cazorla (LW) – 12 MIL (Underrated and wants to move to england)
– Capdevilla (LB) – Free (Contract is over, better than Konchesky)
– Keizuke Honda (CAM) – 10 MIL (Pretty much a done deal)
– Eden Hazard (RW) – 13 MIL (Wants a starting position, which Arsenal or Real won't give him)
– Antonio Cassano (ST) – Free (Unhappy at Sampdoria)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Capdevilla is on the verge of signing a new deal with Villarreal from what I hear, and Cassano has apparantly agreed terms with AC Milan, and it will be announced soon. - only basing what I said on the talk going about though.

The rumours are that Liverpool is still saddled with debt, because nesv did the same as hicks and gillet, but broughton took them at their word that they would pay off the debt within a certain time.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I thought one of the conditions of sale was that the debt was cleared and surely if the debt wasn't paid by RBS' deadline the club would have gone into administration?

Plus, with Purslow and Ayre being Liverpool fans I'm sure they wouldn't have taken the risk, or infact make the same mistake that Rick Pary and David Moores made.

John Ostemobor(Southampton): Wingback with more pace than Messi. Nice dribble, nice pass, nice cross. New Johnson. 2m

Alright guys:). I've heard from people "in the know" that there has been several crisis meetings within the last month or so concerning roy's position at the club.

But the sad part is nesv seem to think apparently that the fans are to fickle to understand the vision of
Roy and that's why John Henry and company seem to be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Apparently Roy has great influence with John Henry who seems to see Roy as a venerable gentleman who would bring results with the business side being the most important aspect.

This sadly does not mean that Roy has to win titles. My source claims that nesv are concentrating on not only making money through the usual revenues, but plan to invest through live on line streams and the worst part is they are planning to charge quite a bit.

Roys long term future at the club is not really a concern for nesv, because by all accounts one of the greatest hoodwinked scams has been accomplished here that would make George gillet and Tom hicks proud.

The rumours are that Liverpool is still saddled with debt, because nesv did the same as hicks and gillet, but broughton took them at their word that they would pay off the debt within a certain time.

And besides the real gem being in their exit strategy. .they are giving Roy permission to try and make star players request a transfer etc and then make a bit to reduce debts slightly. . But the gem is that even now they are talking to potential buyers "purchasing"the club within a year

{Editor's Note: Man I love this stuff.}

You naughty boy Mr editor, i detect a hint of sarcasm. . . {ed's note - Tolkien would be proud of that to be fair....}

Mate you were motoring until this bit

". . But the gem is that even now they are talking to potential buyers "purchasing"the club within a year"

There weren't any serious buyers except them in the year up to the sale. .what would make them think there's going to be now, when if anything the recession is deepening? And I guess they would have to be blind not to see what went on with H&G and see the same thing happening to them if, like you say, the debt is still there.

Is it a possability that glen johnston goes to bayern munich that we could do a swap for gomez? would be a great partner for torres and then kelly could step up for right back week in week out?
also jovanoic off for 3mil in jan so that brings our budget up to 38mil (35 from owners) and we then need 1 left back, and 1/ 2 wingers.

this seems to make sence to me, ed what you think? {ed's note - not a hope in hell of getting Gomez now, he is scoring goals for fun, why would they sell him?}

Hi ed a very close friend of mine who works at the club (grounds man) has told me that a price of 6.8m has been agreed for n zogbia and this does not mean that young will not be joining roy comolli and kenny beleave we need pace and width and are still trying to broker a deal for young but have offerd 10m and babel but villa don't want him would like ngog but roy don't want to let him go beleaves he will turn into a good player and of course we are light up front. He tells me not heard a thing about honda joining but enquires been made about darren bent , a lad called eriksen who ever he is and also wickman from ipswich but the really exciting one and he swears we have asked about availabilty for aguero nesv and in particuler kenny comolli and ian aire see him as the key man to get torres flying again and would signal an intent to the fans were they want the club to be wether he would want to join use is another matter though but nice to no who we are being linked to and he does think a deal will be done for young as they see him as a winger and a player that could play up front. Whats your thoughts ed i have rushed home from work to post this and i swear its from my mate who works at club all be he is on the ground care team? {ed's note - my thoughts? My thoughts are that groundsmen don't know a lot about transfers.}

Fwds:
Conor Wickham(Ispwich): Great, strong player. Costs around 3m
Frank Nouble(West Ham): Another great stiker. Quick, skillful, has a great finish. 2-3m striker
John Obika(On loan to Crystal Palace from Spurs): Amazingly quick. Like, Usain Bolt quick. 1.5m
Mids:
Josh McEachran(Chelsea): Great left winger, sick cross and really fast. 3m
Oxlaide-Chaimberlain: WInger or plays in the hole. Lightning quick, nice finish. I haven't seen him cross much though. Southampton want 10m, so we will loan him.
Defs:
Kyle Walker(Tottenham):Wingback with a really great cross. Quick, but his stamina is kind of poor.3m
Kyle Naughton(Tottenham): Wingback, kind of like Kelly. Quick, great cross, and you could play him at CB if he wasn't as short as he is.4m
John Ostemobor(Southampton): Wingback with more pace than Messi. Nice dribble, nice pass, nice cross. New Johnson. 2m

All of this is 19m, and our young guys would be best in the country- or even in the world. The word "Barcelona" comes to mind.

I'd be happy with that team. Expect for Kuyt, Dann and n'zogbia's attitude. Any thoughts ed? {ed's note - there is no point listing a team with Agger in it, Roy will not play Agger.}

In reply to the below, all of you must be naïve to think that those players are Liverpool's transfer targets in January. Everyone thinks "Roy's targets" will be failed hyped English players in the last stage of their careers. YOUR WRONG. NESV have come to the party! Firstly I guarantee John Henry will take the views of Dalglish, Comolli and other consultants just as seriously as Roy. Secondly this is Roy's last chance at success and he will try to buy the best players available whether they be English or foreign and they are certainly not SWP, Bentley, Young, etc. Finally every post is a guess so there really is no point in reading this site until New Years Eve – although I personally find it hard not to read every day anyway in the hope some real confirmed news erupts about a star Argentine joining us. For now people we just to wait but have faith in John Henry he unlike Roy has a track record we can all be proud of.

"jesus christ guys i didn't say it was going to happen i said those were his targets FFS, i did say they arent all going to happen because "the comitee" won't let him. we will sign SOMEBODY from that list because young, and swp are england internationals, bent is scoring for fun. and scott dann is one of those players who if we don't sign manu or chelsea will get him and lots of people on this site will say "we should have got him this is not acceptable" just face it those are roys targets, but any regular on this site would know that hes not in charge of transfers "the comitee" is and those targets will be forwarded to the comitee. we will sign players three or four players in fact, and i am 90% confident that honda will be one of them. expect ALOT more players to be linked in the next few days.

If Roy's targets are as you say, its time to be very worried. Couple these players with Roy's statement about putting his own mark on the team. I'm not saying there bad players but I'm not sure their good enough to push us on to the next level. It's time NESV stopped the PR exercise and start to deliver. They can start with the sacking of Roy and heavy investment in world class players not the dross the media are linking with Roy in his quest to turn us into Fulham.

Regarding the Richie Dunne rumours, it's not going to happen. I know him from my school days, not very well I admit but it's been the talk around her for the past week. And from what is being said Liverpool have not even contacted him.

West Ham have been linked with a 6 month loan deal for Ryan Babel and also Daniel Pacheco loan move to Malaga looks back on!

Not too sure about the Sturridge rumour, think that would be a £5 mil set back. Can i just state that we need to buy a top quality winger, everone speaks about a strike partner for Torres. We've bought tens of million pounds worth of striker and shifted them out on the wing. Here are a few examples.

Diouf- £10m
Cisse- £14m
Bellamy- £6.5m
Babel- £9m
Kuyt- £9.5m

TOTAL - £49m! !

I think if u would have played at least one of these players in correct position then our problem would be solved. Whats your thoughts ed? {ed's note - I just think it is time to stop hanging on to tactics and trying to fit the players into those tactics. Let's fit the tactics around the players we have to get the best from them. If Kuyt is playing then he has to play up front, same with Pacheco, the latest one being forced to play out wide.}

Nice site Ed, ive been following a little while now.

The Honda rumour is something i'd like to become a reality as we are lacking that bit of creativity/ genius at the moment. With the figures of £9 -£10m being mentioned - surely if he is that good and as marketable as im lead to believe then it would cost us alot more than £10m?

Hi Ed
I keep reading reports on here about Honda coming in January is there any truth to them and what do you think he will bring to our squad?
Also Ed to you have any idea when Fulham game is going to be played now? {ed's note - it is hard to tell whether it is true about Honda or not, the club are a lot more professional these days and all the stories are coming from abroad which makes it difficult to check them out. I think he brings excellent technique, good delivery from dead ball situations, good workrate and a lot of versatility. Question is whether or not we could get the best out of him the way we are playing, he is best suited to quick passing teams, in my opinion. I have no idea when the Fulham game will be played, there are a number of spaces left in the calendar for postponed games but the weather makes it difficult to call when it will be scheduled for.}

So Roy and Comolli are in constant discussions regarding transfers.
Comolli says to expect a quiet January Xfr window with more activity in the summer.
Hodgson says some signings in Jan will help him put his stamp on the team.

Which one is it?

{Editor's Note: He is a Palermo player on loan at Napoli and is certainly not for sale. I agree a very good player though.}
I agree, he would not be sold. But Ed, to your note Cavani is now a napoli player. he has made a permanent move to napoli and is not on loan, there. Thanks. :)

{Editor's Note: I think there is a fair chance. Aside from that, cards are being played close to the chest.}

I would like to point out that Jozy Altidore ran over around and through one Mr. Jamie Carragher at the World Cup. He is young and very very powerful. If he is playing with good players, he could prove himself.

Also NESV should be looking to sign an American, to boost LFC in the States, that player being Clint Dempsey. He is better than any wide player in the team now, and would be an upgrade on the wing or as a second striker. If you sign him, revenues increase.

{Editor's Note: Altidore is a good player for an American but not up to EPL standard - did JC have a good world cup? What was JA goal to game ratio at Hull?}

* * *

its hardly an inspiring record! !

2006–2008 New York Red Bulls 37 games / 15 goals
2008– Villarreal 8 games / 1 goal
2009 → Xerez (loan) 0 games!
2009–2010 → Hull City (loan) 28 games / 1 goal.

sorry, nowhere near good enough.

Ed what do you think about edison cavani from napoli? young talent and hes scored the winner in the past 2 games for napoli. i now there has been no speculation around him of joining us and i doubt napoli would sell him now, but is he one for the future ed? ?

Hello Editor

Yesterday you said, quite comprehensively, that Jose Mourinho and Pep Gaurdiola will never manage Liverpool or United, but there is a scenario which is not beyond the realms of possibility, in which Real Madrid could finish the season empty handed and sack Mourinho. Surely if Liverpool needed a manager in the summer and Jose was freely available, the LFC board would be remiss in not even considering him? I'm not doubting your credibility, just wondering how you could be so sure! Love this site, cheers

Stell

{Editor's Note: He is not going to be moving to Liverpool I am afraid.}

As a result of my personal research these two players will be the only addition in january

Darren bent-(A good english striker with the pace and talent, Sunderland have Gyan and welbeck in good form)

Keisuke honda-(He wants to and cheap player)

Ed what do u think?

Blazing angel

{Editor's Note: Honda may be coming - Bent would be a fine addition but is not linked right now.}

6. Since joining Bayern, he has not had injury problems anymore because of Bayern's great medical staff. His current muscle injury was caused by the horibble work of Netherlands' medical staff, which let him play even though he was injured in a preparation game. {ed's note - he has clearly slowed from the player that was one of the most explosive in the world. He is still fragile and I don't really care how well he played, I don't like him, he is a diving little cheat, one of Jose's best pupils and I find him distasteful.}

I agree completely with the Ed here. I really don't like Robben. I think he is far overated. He only ever does one thing, cut inside onto his left foot. I rarely see him try to put in a cross. That is not what liverpool need. Not to mention he is one of the biggest divers in football. How can that guy call him Bayern's best player? Ribery and Scheinsteiger are miles ahead. For all his off field issues, I would still love to have Franck at Liverpool.

"Benitez has kept his home on Merseyside and made no secret of his wish to return to Liverpool for a second spell in charge.

Current boss Roy Hodgson is under pressure, after a poor start, but new owner John Henry would be wary of taking on a coach with a track record for picking fights behind the scenes.

When Benitez is sacked, the FA will be bracing themselves for an approach for Fabio Capello from Inter."

Damien Comolli has ruled out a raid on former employers St Etienne."I would like to point out, though, that I told coach Christophe Galtier that I will not destabilise his changing room. I have made no contact with any St Etienne player and Roy says he needs to bring in his own players so he could shape the team. .God help us if that's the case! China Red

Ed, if torres did wish to leave in the summer to barca, would ibrahimovic be eligable to be any part of that deal, or is there an agreed fee with milan, and also would you take 30m plus him for torres? {ed's note - Milan will take him, and be thankful, he is not worth having as Barca found out.}
