I know a lot of fans like Flanno because he's a local lad .
But to make him Captain today is unbelievable.
Surely the job should have gone to the likes of Sakho or Coutinho, in Hendos absence.
Surely one of those two deserved to be Captain for the day, before Flanno!

he's local and would give anything for us so he automatically gets it for me expecially with milner as vice HA so yes flanno is fine in my eyes.

Flanno wore the armband but was no captain, I love the guy but he did nothing to influence the team when it all started going wrong.

Nonsense. How does Flanagan just get the captaincy because he is a local lad? I can understand the sentimentality about giving him the captaincy but really it should have gone to Sakho.

Agree was a tough match to captain, particularly with the emotion of a Southampton game and a weakened midfield. Should have been Sakho Or Can IMO but not taking anything away from the lad, very happy he signed and can even forgive the odd mistake.

Ed1 or 2 I have seen some reports regarding Henderson being available for a transfer in the summer, is there any truth in this?

Believable4 Unbelievable10

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of Liverpool making Henderson available (e.g. telling his agent to find another club) but if an offer were made to the club that was acceptable then it would I am sure be given consideration - be it for Henderson or anyone else.}

Cheers for the reply, ed2 do you see a massive playing staff change this summer because I think that our squad is decent and just needs fine tuning. Also how do you see Ibe future? Maybe a loan in the summer?

Agree0 Disagree9

{Ed002's Note - The squad is very bloated and far too large. Adding Caulker and bring back Ilori & Ward in January was a mistake. Many of the squad players and loan players have no future at Liverpool. The early part of pre-season will be used to establish if others such as Markovic and Ibe have a future with the club as both will be available at that time whilst many other Liverpool players won't be available. If Klipperty wants to make significant changes he then needs to move on a high-profile players. Ibe could possibly make way.}

I agree with Ed 99.99% of the time but got to disagree with Ward, it was a hard decision but if Mig got injured then to rely on Bogdan would have a very bad move.

Agree1 Disagree3

{Ed002's Note - Well Ward was getting good experience playing in the SPL every week and no he has nothing, nada, zip whilst another goalkeeper was sent out on loan ..... and Liverpool looking to replace Bogdan with another goalkeeper in the summer - leaving Ward with nothing, nada, zip. If it were Rodgers then everyone would be all over him, but of course it is Klopp who people are blind to.}

Maybe he brought back Ward to replace Migs but he hasn't impressed in training. Or he wanted actual competition after Bogdan had been sidelined after the Watford game.

Agree1 Disagree1

Bringing back Ward was the right thing to do. Giving him no gametime was absolutely not the right thing to do - he should have had a few weeks to settle in and then been given the no.1 spot to try - or at least the cups.

I thought the point was to bring back as many players as possible so he could see them as much as possible for himself. Ultimately the squad is a real mix of top 5 (odd one or two), mid table and some bottom of the table players, he needed to see them all first hand to see what to keep. The targets for Klopp seemed to have been made clear when he signed in terms of expected league position progressing and on that basis I don't have an issue with bringing all the players back. I'd not be surprised if there is a big clear out in the summer because clearly this squad isn't capable of reaching the required level.

On Ward, if we are going nowhere in the league then it would be a waste not to give him a game or two at the end of the season. (Yes I am aware that the positions make a difference to the money the club gets) . But unless he has already been written off then by the looks of it we have 3 keepers competing for 1 first team slot and maybe 1 dev/ reserve slot. So surely it would be worth seeing something of him.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - No, that would be futile at this point in the season. He needs to get on dealing with the first team squad and the games in front of him. Right now Ward's situation will be up in the air after having this season disrupted and knowing that a replacement for Bogdan who can challenge Mignolet is on the cards.}

Hi Ed002, I know what you're saying and I did struggle with posting that or not. Should it be taken as a given that Bogdan is on his way out?

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - Yes, you can assume Bogdan will be off.}

20 Mar 2016 00:44:02
Ed2 latest rumour tonight is Juve interested in Benteke for the summer? Shall i ignore the post and move on?

Believable2 Unbelievable9

{Ed002's Note - Juventus are expecting to lose one forward this summer and are aware that another might also depart. They have already identified the two they are looking to bring in. If Mandzukic were to leave then perhaps they would be looking for that style of striker.}

hi all eds are we looking at Koln duo Timo Horn and Jonas Hector or more paper talk.

{Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry.}
