Eds do you know immobile's situation ?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - There is interest in Ciro Immobile from Roma and Milan and the player wants to return to Italy after a difficult year in Germany - actually a real disaster.}

He's not moving anywhere

Aquilani, Dossena, Balotelli, Borini etc. our record in spotting "talent" from Italy hasn't been impressive.

Think this is largely emanating from The Telegraph - where their sports pages are pushing the idea that he will be brought in as a replacement for Balotelli. Looking at his scoring record at Dortmund, at least it's a like-for-like LOL.

Ed do you know if the interest in Depay is a replacement for Sterling?
Cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I don't, I will have to see if I can find out what is going on there as I am not sure if the situation surrounding Sterling has changed over the last couple of weeks.}

21 Apr 2015 23:14:06
That will be great, if he doesn't want to commit himself. I guess depay is the right replacement and we should pay any amount for him. Enough of loosing out on quality players or good talents.

Hey eds, as always awesome site and my first place I go to, too dispell rumours and find out the truth, this morning I was sent a link to an article, in the telegraph a paper supposedly not known to (air quotes ) fabricate sports news, they were saying Brendan will stay despite the owners not being entirely happy with our season and also that efforts are being made to sign a striker capable of providing what we are missing. Is this true? Can I just say I want Brendan to stay don't really want to rebuild again with the quality of player we have compared to chelsea, united, city and arsenal I think at times we punch above our weight and I do enjoy that sorry about the long question.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - it would be a major surprise if he was still in charge next season. Though a lot depends on finding a man to replace him. Newspapers are getting all their stories from the UK, they have no idea what the owners want or think.}

21 Apr 2015 18:17:40
And other than what you've already said Ed, can you say who you think we will get in place? I appreciate you probably won't/can't answer that but thought I would ask mate.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - I really don't know yet.}

He'll be staying and I for one am glad.

Hi eds,
Awhile ago you posted a nice summary of what you expect to happen and what you would like to see. Have any of the targets you proposed (Handanovic, Darmian, Balanta, Matuidi, Sanson and Mitrovic) been approached or been looked at?
Thanks

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Sanson has a lengthy break with injury now. The only one that Liverpool may have looked at is Mitrovic - they were represented at a recent Anderlecht game but my assumption was it was simply a further check on the progress of Dennis Praet - so maybe.}

21 Apr 2015 21:07:53
I would quite happily take Praet. Good little player, love watching him.

Hi eds

Just wondering on the latest on memphis depay as sky sports are saying that man united have inquired. Thanks for the good work you guys do.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - PSV's Memphis Depay has attracted interest from a number of clubs with Manchester City, Real Madrid, Newcastle, Spurs, Marseille and Manchester United looking to see of a deal can be struck this past summer. Marseille signed Batshuayi and dropped their interest in Depay, and I suspect both Manchester City and Real Madrid have dropped their interest. Manchester United, PSG, Newcastle and Spurs are known to still keeping an eye on the player with Everton and Liverpool also both having had the player watched recently. Someone very knowledgeable about football in the Netherlands has suggested that a move to Newcastle would suit him better than the likes of Real Madrid or the Manchester sides as he would need a couple of years to establish himself in the first team and sitting on the bench will not help him at all. He has also advised the player against a move to Spurs, and his views are well enough thought of to likely remove them from being an option for the player himself. PSG have made an offer and Liverpool and Manchester United both know that a figure between €25M and €30M would be enough for PSV not to block a move and I understand both have made it clear that the money is not an issue. The expectation remains that a move to Manchester United is most likely.}

Thanks ed just wondered about him as he's a special talent that what greatly improve our team

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There is a very wise old man who thinks he could go down the Markovic route by moving before he is ready. But he will move this summer.}

Edd002 are juve showing interest in sterling? Reported in some papers.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach for Sterling from Juventus, and I think it very unlikely they would have any serious interest. Right now they are pretty set on what they want and expect to do this summer.}

21 Apr 2015 10:23:25
In short no. As Ed says they already have targets and a pretty strict budget set so unless one of their targets go elsewhere their plans will not change.

Just as an after thought I have not heard of any italian team being interested in Sterling. In general they are not really keen on English players out there as they often struggle to settle.
