do you think liverpool will ever go for a player like Kevin Strootman to solve the CDM position. However, i do think we need a very good goalkeeper, either Cech or Begovic for me. i think if we could get both then we will be a very strong team once again. (meaning Strootman & Cech)

Morning Eds. Question for Ed002, what's the situation with Delli Alli? Numerous reports on the net stating a package totalling £9 mill has been agreed for the Jan window with a loan back to MK Dons until the end of the season but there's been no announcement of this.

What's your understanding of the deal, if any? Given the current problems we're having with strikers, I would have thought an outlay on another loan back would only invite further criticism of Teds/ The Committees woeful management of the transfer budget. Don't get me wrong I'd love to see the kid in an LFC shirt, I think he's a great talent.

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing new Dele Alli that I am aware of and I am not aware of any transfer having been "agreed". However, Liverpool remain very keen, as we have discussed before, but there is interest from elsewhere including Spurs and West Ham, and particularly Newcastle.

A loan back to his club or elsewhere until, say, the end of next season makes sense. If he were to be at Liverpool I would think he would be no more than on the fringes for 19 months. A good buy for the future as you say Ozone, but his future would need to be mapped out.}
