Eds,
with man city adding to their midfield, any interest in from Liverpool in jack rodwell. {Ed001's Note - no.}

Believable5 Unbelievable88

If we're picking up scraps from Citeh I'd go for James Milner, cracking player who would be a 1st team regular for us! Not sure Rodwell would give us anything we don't have?

Liverpool are preparing to sign the services of Roberto Soldado they see him as the ideal replacement for Luis Suarez. The Reds are aware that the asking price for Soldado is 30 million euros. In recent weeks the board at Liverpool have been in contact with Soldado's agents.

Complete and utter rubbish he will go to Spurs if anywhere.

Agree2 Disagree2

We aren't sorry

Agree0 Disagree0

Why, when we go for players under 25, would we go for a 28 year old at £25-odd million?
I wish we would, but sadly.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2013 22:29:52
Agree he's almost 29.30 millions euros no chance

Agree0 Disagree0

30 mill euros for a 28 year old. That's not FSG policy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Soldado is not a replacement for Suarez FFS, man can't even dribble half Like Suarez does. He does finish as good as but interma of pace and dribbling, don't see.anything there.

Suarez is staying, one more season has definitely been agreed in principle, meeting in a few days

Colonial Red

Believable114 Unbelievable67

If true and he stays out of trouble, well good. Don't it's true though sorry fella.

JA

Agree2 Disagree2

A year ago he agreed 4 more years in writing, otherwise known as a contract. To suggest any other type of arrangement exists is foolish.

I find it unwise to believe any claim before August 31st when the biggest bids will come in for him. He's banned for the start of the season and this applies wherever he goes, so nobody is in a rush to move for him.

Agree2 Disagree1

Source?

Agree2 Disagree1

He will sign a new deal mate, or so I have heard, did'nt beleive it myself when I got told but he will sign a new deal with a release clause, more concrete than the one in place now, its if we don't qualify for Cl.

Also his brother was on the radio in south america and said Suarez won't sign for another PL club and betray Liverpool. If he goes its Real, but they aren't showing much interest, maybe that's why he is signing a new deal

Agree2 Disagree1

Eds what this about LS staying and even agreeing a new deal with us? Are people clutching at straws as me like you had thought my days of wearing my lfc shirt with our mad number 7 on the back had long gone! {Ed030's Note - I have no idea mate. }

Don't want any player that doesn't want to play for Liverpool.what would Shanks do? I give 100% and never cheat the people of Liverpool I'm afraid Suarez has

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Jul 2013 21:24:33
dowt that's guna happen mate. He signed a contract ages ago and now he wants to leave. I say we sell him for 50 million to a team out of the premier league and get soldado from valencia.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is taking the club and fans on a roller coaster ride that's for sure!

Will he, won't he.

Staying. Going.

Madrid. Arsenal. Bayern Munich.

He might be a great player but he isn't bigger than the club and it needs sorting out ASAP.

No doubt on Monday it will be something else with him.

Gaz1975.

Agree0 Disagree0

The sooner he leaves and we can move on, the better.

As talented as he is, we don't need the hassle and damage to the club's reputation.

DK

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. If he is not giving 100% and every time he goes on international duty he opens his mouth too much and the lack of respect he has for wearing the red colours sell him now and get rid of him. Great talent but bad taste and does not deserve to be a red

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jul 2013 01:11:47
Does me nut when people say "what would shanks do" I'll tell ya what he'd do, the best for Liverpool, and if keeping suarez is going to make Liverpool better than getting rid, than try and keep suarez he would, are best chance of champions league is of suarez stays! Some easly forget what he done last year, he is world class, and Liverpool need world class players! I really hope he stays, because even with £50m finding some1 as good is neon impossiblen Y.N.W.A

Agree2 Disagree2

So the Suarez circus will continue at LFC for another year?

No thanks. Get rid now to anyone who offers 40m.

Agree1 Disagree0

I hope so
He is a world class player who any team in the world would want at their club

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt new contract for Suarez but IF it was true then he'd be on bigger wag and that release clause problem would no doubt be settled in his favour. And he's banned for the games we need to win- the first ones - if we're to have a good season.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jul 2013 09:15:52
Suarez would sign for MU if we agreed a deal with Liverpool. The man has no scruples.

Disney!

Agree0 Disagree1

I still think Suarez is a genius of a football player and no matter what happens with the saga I fully believe he will give 110% in a Liverpool shirt he's just that type of player to be fair who cares if he stays that just adds another 10/20 million onto his market value( if he has another fantastic season

Agree0 Disagree0

The deal is that he has a release clause in his contract. Basically they are of the opinion that he has tried to instigate a move. So instead of selling him for under why we want we are going to use him as he will give 100% in matches to fire us to champions league then sell him after one or two seasons.

Think about it lads who else is out there or 30 goals a season for why we would get for Suarez and who would come to us. Owners and br have no choice. He will stay, expect an announcement either today or tommorow.

Colonial red

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely we have got some Aresnal fans commenting on this post. If Torres cost £50 and Cavani costs £55, how come we will let Suarez go for anything less than £50m? Micky was not willing to come despite being offered a good money. That's the problem we are having now, without CL we cannot afford to attract even decent enough playres let alone world class quality players like Suarez. Hence, the money is not the factor here. If we decided to keep him, that would have been done for footballing reasons - and I will appreciate that.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope Suarez stay's because he gives us the Xfacter and top 4 is a certainty along with the new additions we've got Aspas Alberto and maybe Papadopoulos and Eriken? plus Coutnho Sterling Sturridge Ibe stepping up. City Man United Chelsea in transition gives us the best chance!

Agree0 Disagree0

I expect a late £35m bid from Real Madrid towards the end of the transfer window will be accepted.

Agree0 Disagree1

As some posters have already stated, even if Luis is sold, simply having the money doesn't guarantee the club will be able to secure a replacement of similar ability.

Alot of posters talk about the clubs history, unfortunately our "history" doesn't carry the allure it once did, and with no European football on offering the clubs attractiveness suffers - so what do the supporters advocate? we are trying to compete with Europe's biggest and richest clubs for the same players but in most cases we are behind them in terms of what we can really offer them (players) . yes, in most cases money talks, but the bottom line is the player still has to agree to signing/joining.

Agree0 Disagree0

Will remind you all that Liverpool would have still finished 7th without Luis Suarez's goals. As good as he is, he didn't single handidly alter our table position. Liverpool can succeed without him.

Agree0 Disagree0

If it's true, about LS contract, we supporters have to look at what kind of adverse effect, this will have on the other players at the club, those self same players who backed him to the hilt last season. not looking forward to this scenario

Agree0 Disagree0

"I expect a late £35m bid from Real Madrid towards the end of the transfer window will be accepted."

That has to be one of the most ridiculous comments I've ever seen here. LOL

Rumours are gathering fast that we hve tabled a bid of 7m for Ben Arfa, and willing to include Spearing or go up to 10m. I see this as a great pievce of business because Ben Arfa on his day can take out any different with pace, power and skill. If he does come, I hope the medical team can do a good job on him like they did on Agger and Stevie

Believable24 Unbelievable82

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jul 2013 13:54:49
Hes a good player but his fitness is now suspect, I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. We need players who will always be available, suarez, kuyt, carra etc. doesn't matter how talented they are, if they are always picking up injuries, what's the point?

Agree0 Disagree0

Key issue - on his day!

As the other poster said - he delivers one game out of five, the club does not need anymore players who flatter to deceive and can't be relied upon to put in a shift, especially a player who since arriving in England has been plagued by injuries (admittedly some of those injuries were down to bad luck as opposed to being totally prone), so at this juncture in the clubs transition can we afford a "luxury" player?

Agree0 Disagree0

He's average! In and out of form! Never seems interested and these days injury prone! There is better out there than him! please avoid

Hi eds,

Quick question I know you don't like listing names off but I don't suppose there has been any interet from Liverpool in English players? Also there have been reports of a rejected enquiry about Bertrand any truth in that? Cheers {Ed002's Note - I don't know what has happened with Bertrand.}

Hye Eds,

-Rodgers said, he admit sending Reina on-loan to Napoli due to financial. What does he mean by saying this? I thought we still don't use FSG funds, so far only from player sale. Or, he wants to clear Reina's wage for 1 star player that we are going to buy later?

-Heard that Luiz Gustavo available. Is LFC interested to sign him? We desperately need cover for Lucas. I don't see others can step up when playing top 5 EPL clubs when Lucas injured.

-2 clean sheets for Mignolet.

Thanks much Eds.
Have a great day ahead. {Ed002's Note - Reina wanted out, there was seemingly no other options available. Liverpol has shown no interest in Gustavo.}

Believable22 Unbelievable9

Unless he magically improves I think we need a new DM to compete for top4.If we get top 4 with Lucas playing regularly I will be delighted and apologise but I just do not think he is good enough.
CR

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodgers claiming the loaning off reina was for finance reasons was due to several reasons. now the guy is on 100k a week I would say. I can only imagine rafa will take on the full wage responsibilty off reina. Liverpool have to be sensible. there is no point having a player may I add a squad player on that wage when he won't play many games and for a keeper who will not add anything to us will not benifit us. now I don't think its due to us having no spending power. just think its down to allowing our structure to no be hit to hard with a few more coming in. if we was struggling to compete with finances there is no way we would off exstended gerrards contract who is on over 100k per week. this deal was due to the club being sensible. its a very good move I must say

Agree1 Disagree0

Not overly pleased with Rodgers lying to fans about these situations. Would prefer it if he just choose not to comment rather than telling us Mignolet was in for competition and then explaining that he's brought him in to replace Reina. Silly.

Agree3 Disagree1

Brenden is a good guy. His son is a good guy. Even his pet dog 'Buck' is a good guy! And at the end of the day its his job to give a positive spin on all matters regarding the team as part of the collective.
Brad

Agree0 Disagree0

If loaning Reina was for financial reasons, why spend £10m on an average premier league goalkeeper, when we already had a perfectly good keeper. If Reina wanted out, why not make sure we could sell him before spending £10m. Yet another ridiculous transfer decision by Rodgers/Liverpool! When will it stop? £15m Joe Allen, £13m for Borini, on top of the disgraceful purchases made under Comoli.

Agree0 Disagree0

Average?. This Guy Mignolet has been in the top 5 clean sheets since he arrived. You say he is average without letting him play a series of games!. Mignolet is a great keeper on his day, his double point blank save from about 2 yards the season before was simply amazing. Reina is great no doubt, but he needs to move as next year is World Cup Year and he won't play many games as Miggo is younger and will play more games for sure!.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jul 2013 07:54:12
why not SELL him instead . stupid to loan him out! {Ed002's Note - Who would you sell him to?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Some off you guys on here have no idea off the running off a football club. pepe reina has lost it he is not the keeper he once was. being beaten at the near post. he can't catch the ball and his not very agile. mignolet is a solid keeper his younger he has a good kick not to mention the guy is very agile and very hungry. yes HUNGRY exactly what rodgers is looking for in players. now reina has been sent on loan to hold his value. he won't play games which will mean rust and the price off him will lower not to mention barca has valdes for another year. its for the good off the club no wage and no rust and not just that his price will not lower. great bit off work from rodgers the ones who claim it is a silly move have no vision what so ever. look at the bigger picture folks

An approach to Chelsea for Ryan Bertrand was rejected according to the Daily Telegraph. I personally do not see the point in signing him.
The Gooch

Believable30 Unbelievable21

He's a good replacement for Enrique imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

He can play LM and it allows them to loan out Robinson with Enrique eventually replaced.

Agree0 Disagree0

There's more to it than just Enrique being replaced. It's about being able to play a narrow front line - two attacking midfielders and two holding/playmaking, say Gerrard and Lucas with countinho and Suarez behind sturridge. Then we can use attacking full backs to supply the extra width. Bertrand would be far more suited to this system than Enrique.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hardly seems like a priority area, in my completely biased opinion I have faith in Robinson to replace Enrique.

Hi guys this is from a source who has given me a lot of accurate information, he reckons this is nailed on, when this happens please remember the name.

Recruitment team heading to Melbourne tommorow as they have the green light to move for jorginho all that's missing is the official bid, this will be wrapped up next week.

Suarez will be meeting br and Ian Ayre who will ask for one more season from him, if he says no then he will be sold within days to the highest bidder.

We will be signing llori either this week or next week, Liverpool know what they need to do to secure the transfer.

If Suarez goes then a replacement will be made, source has no idea as br and Ayre convinced Suarez will do a u turn.

In terms of players leaving, open to offers for Coates and skrtel and downing, more than likely Coates will go but that's it.

Please wait to see this happen before you criticise the information.

Colonial red

Believable56 Unbelievable34

So Jorginho and Ilori are the exciting players BR was taling about? You must be joking.

Agree0 Disagree1

Not questioning your legitimacy as I have no grounds to, however I do hope you are wrong on the Jorginho front as I seriously believe him to be a shocking replacement purchase following missing on Mkhitaryan as both play the same position.

Yes he is a fairly decent young player however I doubt would make the first team, possibly limiting the chances for similar position players such as Henderson.

Personally I believe he would fall into the category of a young player with potential but in the short term only a squad player, and we need to aim higher than this if we are to compete with our rivals for the top 4.

Sorry for the rant just my personal opinion.
