Any truth in new Damiao rumours Eds?

HBred {Ed002's Note - No. Do you think Lucas is in charge of transfers now?}

Nah, just wishful thinking. Cheers for sarcasm though.

HBred

What's the lucus comment about ed? {Ed002's Note - He was asked wheich Brazilian he would have at teh club if he could. He said Damaio.}

Hi ed am I wrong in saying these but didnt he say Lucas was his scout wen he was injured an is it possible we could get pato Craig from huyton {Ed002's Note - I would doubt Pato is an option.}

Wouldn't it be funny if Lucas randomly was in charge of transfers though ...

! Bravo Ed002! Very dry!

No if he was wed have a great team!

If expert ed 2 bahaha says no than NO it is...

Ed 02 is asad chelsea fan today there are plenty. dont know why they just got rid of a manager who didnt know how to organise a defence for one that does with the forward players they have they will get better but he needs time. chelsea are like spoilt children really remember they were crap and winning nothing they seemed to have forgot this.Tommy Irish Red {Ed002's Note - It doesn't bother me in the slightest Tommy. These sort of posts are really pretty embarrassing to read.}

Should never be embarrassed about the truth !!

Nearly19

Lucas may not be in charge, but brendan did say he would like him to be a scout while he's injured did he not?

-Ehsan Red {Ed002's Note - No idea, but the answer was to a question from a journalist. It is like a joke now. Perhaps you should dig out where Damiao says he wants to go.}

"Leandro Damiao wants Oscar reunion at Chelsea"

This is for the lazy few ;)

Ben (Thanks ED btw)

What is the situation with huntelaar ? Are we still interested ? {Ed002's Note - Schalke certainly do not want to sell Huntelaar as it is going very well for him in Gelsenkirchen and they want him to sign a two year extension to his contract - and he wants to only sign for a further year. This is the reason for the impasse not him waiting on someone to make an offer. However, Schalke said that they would likely sell if he refuses to agree any contract extension, and he hasn't - although that threat was there in the summer and they didn't sell. Fiorentina, Juventus, CSKA and Atletico Madrid have shown an interest with Napoli and Lazio appearing the most likely destinations if he were to move in January, but several EPL sides are still looking for a striker: Arsenal although they have other clear targets I would not be surprised to see him being considered), Chelsea (again he is by no means near the top of the shopping list but could be attractive to the club as a second striker) Spurs and Liverpool - both of which are interested at the right price, but I fear not the most attractive of options that Huntelaar has available. There is a valuation based on a buy out clause of 20M euros that Schalke might want to try and exercise, but even with several interested parties it might not be possible to attain such a fee. The player himself could opt to run down his contract and seek a hefty signing on fee in the summer.}

The club will only allow BR limited funds with the understanding that in the summer he will have a enough to buy 2-3 star players and 2 or 3 squad players.

£5m + player sales is all.
Cole £1.5m
Downing £7m
£13.5m

in
Jeffren Suarez - RWF: £1m on loan with option to buy.
Mauro Zarate - FWD: £8.5m plus £2m if we make top 4, including other conditions like appearances, goals etc.
Samuel Inkoom - RB/RWB: £1.5m loan with option to buy.

Cheers for the info Mr Henry

Absolute load of rubbish - James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo has reported that the budget will be £20 Million in January. Hence why we are in negotiations for Daniel Sturridge.

I would not buy sturridge for more than £8m

he is months into his last year and in january will be on his last 6 months

10-15-20m should not be wasted for a player on 6months

it's just as bad as paying 35m for carroll then selling him for 18m {Ed002's Note - His contract does not run out next year.}

All of the 'budget talk' is rubbish, no club is going to announce how much they have to spend since that would throw their whole bargaining out of the window and allow them to be held to ransom for a player

£1.5m for Cole? We would be luck to give him away.

Oh my god you must be the LFC bank manager

It'll cost US a transfer fee to get rid of Joe Cole. That's one disastrous transfer that can't be blamed on Benitez.

Has he really just said 2-3 star players wtf does he thinks rodgers is on fifa?! stupid ****

No. I will still blame Joe Cole on Benitez. He was the one in charge of scouting Joe Cole and Hodgson just happen to be there to sign him.

That the most disagrees i have ever seen on a single post.
is this a world record ed..?

I remember someone got 100 before

Eds, I have read in various forums about the quartet of Wellington Nem, Adryan, Ademilson and Jetro Willems. Please tell us Liverpool have them on their radar is some sense. To have all four of these guys would set us up to be the best in Europe/the world...they are immensely talented players. Have you any news on them?

ocuinn {Ed002's Note - A number of clubs have shown an interest in Wellington Nem from a scouting perspective but as far as I know there has yet to be an offer made to Fluminense. There has been interest shown in Adryan Tavares by Real Madrid, Porto and Manchester United. Ademilson will not be leaving Brazil just yet. Jetro Willems has been of long-term interest to Manchester United.}

So no interst from us then no? {Ed002's Note - No. It appears to be no more than a random list of players who are reasonably well thought of.}

I've bought three out of the four on Footy manager, sounds to me like this could also be the source of your knowledge.

I suppose my question is how much have you seen the four of them play? Please don't include You Tube.

K-Man

Looks like a FM cheap buyout clause wish list post to me

Ah you're all jealous you didn't ask it first!

Which ones did you buy k-man? i got all but willens

Edd are we still interested in mathias Suarez I think he's still injured but last year he was on top form and would be my ideal striker to partner. Luis Suarez. Suarez!!Suarez! {Ed002's Note - Liverpool along with Bayern Munich, PSG, Zenit, Arsenal, Newscastle, Lazio and Juventus have shown an interest in Matias Suarez in the past but there seems to be no interest from anyone right now. Suarez rejected approaches from CSKA Moscow and Galatasaray in the summer. However, CSKA returned with a further bid and they believed the deal was done before Suarez failed his medical. So for now he remains in limbo with a mediacl problem hanging over him. For a move to England he will need a work permit and not playing for the national team is a major issue against it happening. Claiming on an exception basis will also be difficult for someone of his age. His other option would be to seek a Belgian passport and stay a while longer there. Otherwise, he can move freely to other European countries.}

Ed any interest from Liverpool in either Ayew from Marseille ? {Ed002's Note - An easy one. No, not from Liverpool. If anything changes I will let you know.}

Eds & Reds,

Been hearing a lot about this Wilfried Bony fella. I've searched for him in Google news and a lot seems to pop up about hime being a LFC (and formerly Chelsea) target. After watching a few youtube vids I'm quite impressed with this guy, he seems strong, fast and intelligent with his play. Great eye for goal as well. A transfer website has estimated his value at 7-8m, surely this is a steal for the price! The mans got 13 goals in 14 games! It seems players from the Dutch League generally adapt well to the EPL, so signing this man is a no brainer for me. Wikipedia even states he had a trial with us in '07? Is this true?

Also, if he is signed, is there risk of losing him to ACON in the early stages of the year?

Found a website called Crunchsports earlier, not sure how reliable they are, but they are claiming we are in persuit of Reading defender Alex Pearce as well. Can anyone shed any light?

Fowlers Nostril {Ed002's Note - From what he has said Bony had trials with several European clubs including Liverpool, Toulouse and Marseille. Wilfried Bony was of interest to Newcastle over the summer and has been a player Chelsea have been considering for a while. Right now there is varying degrees of interest from Aston Villa, QPR, Liverpool, Everton and a couple of German sides. It would not be a surprise to see interest from other teams, but that is all there is right now. The player has said he would like to join Chelsea.}

Bony has said he would like to join Chelsea? In that case he looks a bit slow to me, don't think he could hack it in the Premier:)
kidmillions

Thanks for the response Ed002 & kidmillions.

As I said I have only seen the youtube videos which obviously only show him at his best. He is still young at 23 and I think some time in the EPL will only advance him as a player, and us as a team

ed is there any interst in hernanesof lazio

thanks
wafa {Ed002's Note - It was thought that there could be interest in Hernanes at the right price over the summer but Lazio quoted a figure above £20M which is why Juventus have been put off. Previously Liverpool and Benfica had shown tentative interest. Now it seems that he will stay until at least the summer in Rome.}

I've heard of United interest in the past too...

Ed002 do you think holtby will sign a new deal at schalke? {Ed002's Note - Schalke have confirmed that they are to offer Lewis Holtby a new contract but are aware that there will be interest from clubs wishing to speak to the player in January. Aston Villa has added to the previously known interest from Valencia, Everton and Arsenal and unconfirmed rumours suggest that both Manchester United and Liverpool may also look to Holtby. Perhaps the most interesting option that he may have is Inter Milan who most definately has an interest after stepping back from any deal for Paulinho. However, Inter are being advised by Di Frisco that Holtby is perhaps two years from being ready for such a move but in my view it remains a possible destination.}

Why the computer generated answer Ed? it's the same word for word answer evreytime anyone asks a question about Holtby. {Ed002's Note - It is hardly "computer generated". If nothing changes the answer will be the same - although there are often subtle differences.}

Ok not computer generated, but copy n paste instead. {Ed002's Note - SO you want me to write new words every time someone asks the same question?}

Hey Eds,

I was wondering if any clubs have any interest in Sofiane Feghouli of Valencia? {Ed002's Note - Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Southampton and PSG have all considered the player but have been told that he is not available. I would not expect a move in January and the player says he is keen to sign an improved contract with Valencia.}

Gents,

Wilfied Bony is for Liverpool a serious target according to Vitesse. They expect him to leave in January and Liverpool is more than likely going to be his destination. On the website and throughout the Dutch press, there is talk of Wilfired himself being interested in a move to LFC, and that Liverpool are preparing an offer for him.

I cannot comment more about Jeffren Suarez and to be honest I have only seen him on youtube. But, if we do get Bony, we are getting a tank of a player, who has great temperament and composure, great finisher with either feet, and jumps like a basketball player. He is very much a striker and not much more, but he is without doubt THE best player in the Eredivisie at the moment.

YNWA! Andy

Fingers crossed Andy! Would love to see him in a Liverpool shirt, he just mows through defenders and he's got a seriously powerful shot on him. I'm hoping his links to Chelsea are mostly unfounded as he strikes me as in a similar mould to Lukaku, surely he'd hinder his progress at Chelsea? (Maybe wishful thinking there). Either way I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for this one, Suarez's trickery with Bony's delivery would work brilliantly I think.

JFT 96

JP {Ed002's Note - There is serious interest from Chelsea with someone very prominent at the club recommending a January bid.}

On wiki it says that he had a trial with us in 2007 and we chose not to sign him

I'm sure Bony would love to go to Chelsea and not play, {Ed002's Note - Bony has made it clear that he would like to join Chelsea.}

Andy, you say "On the website and throughout the Dutch press", which website as I can't see anything on the Vitesse website if that's what you mean? Do you have any links as I'm a big fan of Bony and I think he would be a great signing for us if we could get him at a reasonable price?

MarkB.

Lol very true

Well there is the toss-up between Chelsea and us. Personally, and obviously, he should choose us, because he is better able to get a game whereas at Chelsea he would be part of a pecking order and no stable manager situation. Plus I think if Rafa comes in, he will want to strengthen the midfield area rather than the attacking options. Defensively Chelsea can be absolutely awful, which we all know is what Rafa believes in. Build from a solid backline, then solid in mid, then and even then, think about scoring goals. Cohesion, solidity, like a rock moving as one unit going forward and coming back.

I have the links in my work email and will see if I can ost them tomorrow. Funny because I just tried looking for them - and couldn't find them either...

But seriously, do you honestly think that with the money chelski have they will be looking at Bony? More like Neymar or maybe Falcao. {Ed002's Note - There is interest in Bony from Chelsea.}

Hey Eds,
Bild reporting that we are interested in Dortmund's Kevin Großkreutz is there anything on your collective radars re this, thanks. {Ed002's Note - Grosskreutz has previously said that he wants one day to play in England. Before the last January window noted, to the annoyance of Jurgen Klopp, that his dream was to play for Arsenal. This summer, before the transfer window opened he told the press that it was his dream to play for Liverpool. I am not aware of interest right now but Liverpool do appear to be looking for a wide player. Equally he is a starter for Dortmund so a move in January is perhaps unlikely.}

If you're talking wide players from Dortmund I'd rather have BÅ‚aszczykowski personally.

~Fresh

Where does Assaidi fit into all of this?

Red Head {Ed002's Note - He is a squad player at Liverpool - it is nothing to do with him.}

Gary Hooper to LFC in January #super super Gary Hooper!

When he scored a hat trick for Celtic on the last game of last season, he actually scored all 5 i think, but the Celtic the stadium announcer shouted after his hat trick ''Hat trick scored by GARY..'' And the Celtic fans shout ''HOOPER'' the announcer shouts ''GARY...'' and the Celtic fans shout ''Hooper'' and again ''GARY..'' And the Cetlic fans roar one last time ''HOOPER.''

It is a very impressive and quite Spartan'esque.

They do that at every home game when he scores.

I think every home stadium in the Bundesliga celebrates home goals that way. Some stadiums may not say the goal scorer's name three times, but others certainly do, especially after a hat trick. And at the end of it all, the stadium announcer says "Danke" (thank you) and the crowd yells "Bitte" (you're welcome).

Not sure why that's such a big deal with Gary Hooper, other than he's the flavor of the month in terms of transfer rumours.

-Red Socks

Gary. Hooper. No. Thanks.
