Eds,
Any interest from Rodgers for Ricardo Quaresma?
I think maybe he can be our experienced winger plus skillfull. No doubt Assaidi & Sterling will be fantastic in the future but i think we need him.

How much we can get him?

I think with him joining, our wide area will be more interesting. Suarez and Quaresma as attacking winger.

Thanks Eds.

ItsJimmy. {Ed002's Note - Quaresma has struggled somewhat since leaving Porto where was expected of him when he was younger. Since leaving Porto he has been much lower profile and has had a number of clubs but not really settled. The rumours persist and he would, I expect, be reasonably cheap as Besiktas look to recover most of the 7.5M euros they paid for him - certainly they have little or no interest in him and would be happy to have seen him move on in the summer, but no one wanted to pay the price. In my opinion heading back to the Iberian peninsula would be a good move for him.}

We dont need him at all. Yes he has ability, but look at his track record on and off the pitch.

Eds, what do you think are the chances of Huntelaar coming in January? And if not why?
Cheers
NotInTheKnow {Ed002's Note - There is no interest from Liverpool that I am aware of at this time, but I understand he is open to hearing any offers made to Schalke. They certainly do not want to sell as it is going well for him in Gelsenkirchen and want him to sign a two year extension to his contract - and he wants to only sign for a further year. However, Schalke said that they would likely sell if he refuses to agree any contract extension, and he hasn't. Atletico Madrid and Lazio would appear the most likely destinations if he were to move in January.}

Hi eds' are any clubs interested in griezmann?

Thanks {Ed002's Note - A number of clubs have shown an interest in the past. However he is not for sale right now and does not wish to leave Spain.}

Would we have any chance of getting coentrao? Heard he's unhappy at Real Madrid {Ed002's Note - No.}

it has been reported that the Premier League club sent scouts to watch him during the Sicilian club's Serie A games against Genoatwo weekends ago.

The scouts are also said to have kept an eye on Genoa defender Andreas Granqvist at the Marassi, but Ilicic brushes aside any potential move for him to Liverpool as of now.

"New rumours about my future? Nothing new, everything is quiet on this front," the 24-year-old told Sport Press. "But it is normal for me that there are rumours. One day you are linked with one club, another day with another club.

"That is normal, but I am still at Palermo. I am only thinking about my team. The summer is well over and the transfer window reopens in January, which is far away.

"Now I am a Palermo player, I don't know what will happen in the future. We will see."

The scouts were watching Genoa's Alexander Merkel not Ilicic or Granqvist.

It was not him either it was Abel Hernandez of palermo! Suarez said he is the best uruguyan youngster , pace and lethal in front of goal

Alot of Lewis Holtby Speculation , could this be a sign of Nuri Sahin returning to Madrid at the end of his loan spell ?
- Rookie {Ed002's Note - Schalke have confirmed that they are to offer Lewis Holtby a new contract but are aware that there will be interest from clubs wishing to speak to the player in January. Aston Villa has added to the previously known interest from Everton and Arsenal and unconfirmed rumours suggest that both Manchester United and Liverpool may also look to Holtby. Perhaps the most interesting option that he may have is Inter Milan who most definately has an interest but are being advised by Di Frisco that he is perhaps two years from being ready for such a move.}

22 Oct 2012 10:03:17
If Everton really are interested in Holtby then our chances of signing him are slim as he is a huge bluenose and says its his dream to play for them.

Hi Eds,
Do you think there is a possibility of a move for Adebayor in Jan coz he seems to be unhappy at Spurs. ABV prefers Defoe more than him and he is clearly not starting games. {Ed002's Note - It would very much doubt it.}

As a Spurs fan myself I can't see it happening although i think most wouldn't mind it, now he has his contract he's not the player he was last year, he's also now gone against his word about coming out of international retirement and looks like heading out to the African nations cup, something he said he wouldn't do which is a reason why spurs didn't go out and buy another forward spurs will now buy a forward come Jan and put adebayors noise out of joint come Jan

Not been the same since his contract! Are you high? He has not played. I would take him to liverpool but the hole thing would depend on how much tots would let him go for.
Deanalfie.

Just a thought but i have watched Gundogan of borussia dortmund for a while now, do you reckon we could have a chance of signing him? {Ed002's Note - If that is you Brendan, then yes. If not, then it seems rather less likely.}

21 Oct 2012 14:18:30
Hi Ed002,
any interested in Danny Rose from Liverpool? thanks {Ed002's Note - None that I know of.}

Why would we need him when we hav robinson, mclaughlin & ohanlon

Look I know rose has been through a tough time recently. But did you see him yesterday against Newcastle. Johnson is our new left back

I hope not... he's average at best

Gary Hooper's not happy with Celtics new contract offer. It's well below the top earners and Hooper reckons he should be up there. Hooper's agent HAS spoke with Brendan Rogers but nothing more than that just yet. My source is VERY close to Hooper so will post more when I hear it.
LFC Cockney

Yet Neil Lennon has said he's close to agreeing a new contract with Celtic. He isn't leaving

As a Celtic fan i don't believe that this will happen in the next 12 months. The talks stalled because of Hooper's agent being an agent but Lennon is confident and I believe that Hooper will be a celt at the very least until the summer.

Come on hooper.

Hooper for the mighty reds , I know him and he's been waiting for the right time to go to the prem his dad is his agent . Wouldn't mind seeing carroll , Suarez and hooper in our squad

Hey eds , posting after a long time. My question to you'll is that are we really interested in Dries Mertens? If so do you think we'll make a move for him?
I have seen him a fair few times and he looks like a class act , just that he is very single footed but still a class act.
-RED INDIAN {Ed002's Note - I don't see Mertens moving to LIverpool in January. If he moves next summer I suspect it may well be to Bayern Munich although there remains serious interest from Lazio.}

Hi ed, are we interested in Charlie Austin?
Thanks. {Ed002's Note - Burnley's Charlie Austin is being considered by Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Celtic.}

So, Ba, Hooper or Bent then ? {Ed052's Note - I shouldn't think we would move for Bent due to age, fee, wages and becuase he is rubbish. The other two are possible}

I remember watching him at Swindon

Hi eds great site, keep up.the great work,just a.quick one do.u know of any real interest from us in Wilfred zaha? {Ed002's Note - I don't.}

21 Oct 2012 12:04:07
Eds, do you think there's anything ilikely to happen regarding PSVs Jurgan Lacodia ?
Cheers
JR {Ed002's Note - Locadia seems like no more than speculation as a future academy or reserve player - I would be surprised if any EPL side were looking at him as a first team player at this time.}

21 Oct 2012 12:03:01
Hi eds, do you reckon it's posssible for Liverpool to sign both Sturridge & Walcott in Jan? I reckon they would fit into our system well with both being able to rotate with Suarez throughout a game in the front 3 positions, so we don't rely on Sterling too much too soon. {Ed002's Note - I would think it unlikely that both would arrive.}

Why? There both crap.

I agree they would both be overpriced over rated risk's ... Can't get my head around all the fuss they are both players who couldnt make it with top teams.... Surley there are better options...

Wouldn't want either. Hooper and Sebastian Larsson better options

Hi...im from israel and its all around that Tomer Hemed the israeli striker from mayorca is on the way to liverpool...is it true ? {Ed002's Note - I have not heard anything of it.}

Left foot, Right foot and heading. Loves scoring goals either foot or head, outside the box or poaching. natural finisher who is not afraid to get in where it hurts. with the chances that we make he would get a bagfull. defo worth a look. i would be made up to get him. forget the caviani,s and llorente,s. we cannot afford them. this guy is GOOD
Robbie

The cats out of the bag...i have been told the same!
By the way this guy is ruthless ..just what we need...a pacey goalscoring cf.a fee between 5 -7m will secure him..can't wait to see him up front with suarez in behind...Hemed No 9

Jimmy LFC

Israeli players always do well at liverpool hope this is true.Tommy Irish Red

Do all the checks, you tube etc (not the most reliable) 25 years old but he is good

Hello Ed002,
do you think Liverpool need Walcott or Sturridge? Liverpool need a striker, they need him bad. Don`t want to get into discussion what will happen if Luis gets injured...Sterling is doing great job but his energy must be wisely used. I`d rather see a young, talented and cheap player coming in rather than spend big on a winger. Big money is needed for a LB and esp for the striker. Than you for your thoughts and all of the news you share with us here. {Ed002's Note - You are right that Liverpool do need a striker in January and I am sure one will sign. I have answered on several occasions about Walcott and Sturridge - it is clear that Chelsea would not stand in the way of a decent offer for Sturridge, and we know Walcott wants to play more centrally. Whether or not anything could be done in January with these players remains to ev seen. How about Hooper as an option? Could Liverpool become interested in Charlie Austin even?}

Please tell me we are not interested in charlie austin

Thanks ed for the info had to do a quick google on him would prefer a prem experience player like sturridge even tho he mite have a attitude problem he is still a good player his goal return shows that would teams not want ronaldo cos he has a ego some of the best players in the world will be hard to manage

I fail to see the reason for not spending a fairly substantial amount on a striker in the January window - correct me if i'm wrong here but wasn't Saurez signed in a January window? and his goals took us from 12th to 6th that season.

ash240970 {Ed063's Note - He only scored 4 goals between January and the end of that season. It was hardly his goals that rocketed us up the table}

Ed's do yuo think we could sign Walcott? He surely will be leaving now because he would of signed a contract if he wanted to stay. But we need a clinical finisher and Walcott doesnt fit the bill but he has never had the chance to play striker very much. {Ed002's Note - There still remains time for him to sign a new contract - he is contracted through to next June.}

21 Oct 2012 12:32:02
Ed2 mate I think walcott will sign new contract with Arsenal and fans don't foget Wenger doesn't sell players cheap irespective of their contract situation look at Nasri only one year was left but stiil wenger hold for 25M+ and he got it same with Persie who is 28/29 years of age and only 1 year was left and still he he got 22M+. {Ed002's Note -

21 Oct 2012 10:15:45
Hi eds, I'm just wondering what you think of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang? I think he's a good young player and would be the type of quick and clinical forward we need.. do you also know of any interest from lfc and would you consider it likely or unlikely that he'd move to us in the summer?
YNWA!
JS {Ed002's Note - After a year at St Etienne Aubameyang has attracted the attention of PSG, probably amongst others. He has said in the past the one day his dream would be to return to play with a great Milan side.}

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is planning moves for 23-year-old Arsenal winger Theo Walcott and Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge, 23. taken from bbc page!

both 23 english,play in prem blessed with pace and match winners!get them in RODGERS!

They are both useless, if Rodgers does have a philosophy and does like technical players then he should run away from these two rejected England clowns.
