Hi eds
I was wondering if Lucas was to leave who would be a potential replacement and what's the latest on borini

Believable4 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - we haven't really got anyone lined up for if Lucas goes. There is no latest on Borini right now, he wants to stay, hence him throwing himself round like a lunatic. He is desperate to stay and prove himself.}

Borini swap for Austin a shout or even better him and Allen for Bony ? ?

Agree1 Disagree0

If Brendan let's Lucas go then he truly does have nothing going on in the brain department.

I'd target Biteco from Gremio in January though he would be my replacement for Allen. Alex Song would be my replacement for Lucas but Song will only become available in the summer. I here you saying Emre Can but he is more the long term replacement for Gerrard being more of a Box to Box player.

hi ed001 what goal keepers are available in january for loan for us

Believable5 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - off the top of my head, I can't think of any other than kids.}

Is it true that we're looking at bringing Torres back on loan?
Thanks in advance

I hope so on a free, he was loved here and I think he is very much a confidence player. You can't fault him wanting to leave us as he was given false promises abut big signings and he had a desire to win. I don't believe any of us would stay in the same job with no prospects when another job was offering us more money with more chance of achieving your goals. I think he could do a job for us for few seasons.

Agree1 Disagree1

Based on what Baz? His form 5 years ago?

Agree0 Disagree0

And who is going to pay his wages? He may be a free transfer, but someone still has to pay his wages. It certainly won't be LFC, remember, the Club are in the doghouse regarding FFP and wages is a big issue with respect to this.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we could shift Ballotelli and Borrini then finances would hopefully be ok? I'd settle for Sturridge, Torres & Lambert until the summer.

Agree1 Disagree0

I fully understand the haters for how he left things etc, but I would love to see him back - even if it is just purely to see if he suddenly turns it on again. The season is lost anyway, so a nostalgia trip at least makes it interesting :)

Agree1 Disagree0

The guy is a mood Hoover, great at sucking the motivation out of other players when things aren't going well for him.

torres was loved by liverpool fans and he never got that love, the singing etc. the star man status at chelsea. If you ask him, i bet being honest he would regret ever leaving. I think take a punt on him, when the fans start singing his name again (and forgive and forget and all that) he will get his confidence back and i'd back him to bag a few goals. well certianly more than our current crop score. On another note, i feel sorry for lambert, we just do not play to his strengths, must be so frustrating for the poor guy.

Eds I understand we are looking at a January window with no buying and rightly so as why throw good money at bad under Rodgers. But do you feel that the board may address our worst position in the goalkeeper during this time or wait till the summer and if so do you know which keepers are being looked at?

Baz

Believable2 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - if the right one becomes available, I would expect the club to move for one. It is unlikely that will be the case. The most likely is one will get a pre-contract to join in the summer.}

Thanks ed. Do you have any idea as to who the club as identified as the ''Right keeper''?

baz

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - right now, as far as I can find out, there is no right keeper available for a January move. So no.}

Hi eds.

Will aspas get another chance at liverpool after his loan ends? Or will we look for a permanent deal?

Cheers eds

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - I would doubt he would be interested. The issue will be if the club over-price him for a sale.}

Don't Sevilla have an option to buy him at the end of the season for £5m or so Ed? And if so, are they likely to exercise it?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They have an option - there is no indication if they will exercise it or not.}

We should just have sold him &Assaidi in the summer instead of asking for £7m apiece

Saw a report linking liverpool with christoph Kramer. Any truth to that one

Thanks

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - A move, possibly in the summer, for Christoph Kramer to the EPL is possible - Arsenal is the interested club.}

Eds wat would you think about taking someone like shay given on loan till the end of the season.i think he could do a job for us.id like to hear people's opionions on him

Believable2 Unbelievable16

{Ed002's Note - It is not going to happen.}

He retired about 4 years ago and has been collecting the pension since.

Used to be one of the best in the PL but injuries ruined him, whether or not his groin was as bad as he thought who knows but his form never returned after.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he was awful, just another Mignolet, good shot stopper but appallingly bad at organising a defence hence why Newcastle's defence improved when he left. One of the most over rated keepers in the history of the game.}
