Have Liverpool taken a look at or have they any interest in Lucas moura.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - PSG may well be willing to let Moura move on as he has not settled that well in France - but whether they would be willing to do so in January is not clear. An attempt was made to strike a deal for Lucas Moura to make a return to Sao Paulo on loan in January 2015, but PSG pulled the plug as discussions dragged on. Juventus had declared interest if he becomes available but baulked at the €40M asking price they were given. Spurs and Liverpool did manage to scout him recently, although he has been starting from the bench a lot this season. His agent has spoken to Arsenal about him but I don't know if they would be interested.}

Lucas Maura would be a class signing imo. Very direct and very very pacey.

Eds with our reported interest in Joel Matip can you give your thoughts please on if you think he is better than we currently have and would he bring leadership to our defence?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Schalke's Joel Matip has been watched by Sunderland, Newcastle and Liverpool but will not be available in January with the club rather letting his contract run down as opposed to having their season disrupted - unless of course someone were to pay way over the odds. Schalke will try and get him to sign a new contract. I can't see him as being any more than a Toure replacement at Liverpool. If he weren't free would Liverpool be interested?}

No improvement, nothing to get excited about and not a player that will make any impact on the first team by looks of things.

Ed according to Bild he's rejected the latest contract. Surely he would want game time, so why come too us if he knows we are going too buy another cb?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He is getting game time already - I am not sure of your point. I have explained the situation as it is with Schalke looking to have him sign a new deal. Perhaps all he wants is your English pounds?}

Sorry ed i meant too say, you see him as a toure replacement and as toure doesn't play much, wouldn't matip want some more game time.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They all want game time. If you think Matip will be a first pick then fine, but from my perspective it would be a surprise. Toure is about to get a run in the team - personally I believe the solution rests elsewhere as I have said.}

Morning reds,

Weekend loan update.

Danny ward kept a clean sheet as Aberdeen kept the pressure on Celtic by beating Kilmarnock 4-0.

Alberto played for an you as deportivo beat eibar 2-0

Markovic played for 80 minutes as fenerbache won 1-0 against a team i won't even attempt to spell.

Canos scored the opener and played for an hour as brentford beat Huddersfield 4-2.

Kent played for 70 minutes as Coventry drew 1-1 with Oldham.

Vigouroux kept a clean sheet as Swindon beat Shrewsbury 1-0.

5 wins and 1 draw this week, not bad from our loanees, shame the reds couldn't follow their example.

All other loanees are either injured, not in squad, or didn't have a match due to the Christmas break.

Just to add to what you said

I Watched Alberto play and he was fantastic looked a real talent linking play up nicely quick with his feet and the week before he played and looked great then he is just coming back from injury so he is being looked after with his game time, I wouldn`t be surprised if Klopp kept hold of him for next season useful player.

Fenerbache played Gençlerbirliği if anyone wanted to know :), Markovic got the assist on the night played really well,

Canos had a fantastic game with Brentford looks a real talent great understanding of the game when to move and when not to and how to use the ball, I think the Brentford Manager has already said he wants to extend his loan till the end of the season.
