Ed01 and 02, we know that regardless of paper talk etc Mbappé will not come to Liverpool, just wondering if the likes of Haaland would (a) be interested in a move to us and (b) would be financially possible for us. Obviously it would mean one of the front 3 would be moving on but given their similar age profiles you wouldn't think that would be too far off now anyway.

{Ed002's Note - Erling Haaland's representative has been speaking to two other sides about options for the player in the future and I am not aware of any discussions with Liverpool over the player. The cost of EH this summer will be very significant and Borussia Dortmund are not looking to sell, but they know they will likely see interest and indeed offer but are far more open to Sancho being sold.}

Ed do you see EH signing a new contract removing the 2022 release clause? because 65m does seem awfully cheap for such an amazing talent. If not, could we afford the cost of signing him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That would not be in his interest. Liverpool have financial issues as you know and are not part of this at all. His agent, who will make very significant charges as well, has discussed options with two other clubs already. Liverpool's priorities are elsewhere.}

Ed2, respect if you don’t wish to go into it but are any of those English sides?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Yes, one is. But it is unrelated to Liverpool.}

Chelsea are the english side interested i believe.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They are not the only interested English side.}

Thanks Ed2. I tell you what whoever signs the kid has one hell of a player on their hands.

Thanks ED02. Hopefully they’ll resist selling Haaland this Summer and come 2022 we’ll be a position to bid. He’s an incredible talent. You’d have to think that the English Club is Man City and he’d be their replacement for Aguero.

No doubt our priorities are at centre back and signing a starter with I assume some younger legs for midfield if as expected Gini finishes up. Jota and Elliott will be the forward additions for next season up top I guess unless one of the front 3 looks to move on.

Thanks again ED02, hope you and yours are all keeping heathy.

Ed, not trying to be smart but surely nearly EVERY bigeuropean team has financial issues at the moment with the C.V..

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Every side will have suffered losses but some can deal with it far better than others depending on how responsibly they run their businesses and if they are self sufficient or not. In FRance the situation is far worse than in the UK or other countries.}

I for one don’t want Erling Haaland his a game good player that’s seems to be in the right place at the right time but everybody seems to be going on about him like his Marco van basten. And scoring goals for Dortmund and RB Salzburg does not do it and every time I have seen him he has not stood out as anything special.

Ed's, couple of questions if I may

1. Traore rumours off again. Is origi of interest to Wolves and do Liverpool hold a genuine interest in Traore. Granted swaps rarely happen in England however in the current climate they may happen more frequently. this might suit both parties

2. Ings - In your opinion would he be considered again? Klopp has always maintained he liked him and apparently he has a great rapport with the lads...

Cheers

{Ed002's Note - Firstly Origi has not been of serious interest to Wolves and they have recalled Patrick Cutrone from loan but he may well go back out on loan or be sold when Willian Jose moves (which could even be today) - so they do not need another striker. Even though Origi can play on the wing Wolves have a firm long-term target to replace Traore if he departs, and they have a short-term loan target if Traore were to depart this month - which is unlikely but not impossible. As for Liverpool interest it has not gone away and Adama Traore is not keen on a new contract at Wolves. If a move were to happen, one of the "front three" would certainly leave in the summer. To fund it Liverpool would either need Wolves to accept a payment plan again or they would have to borrow the money. As I have said before, Klopp really likes him and it is certainly a possibility. As for Danny Ings, he won't be returning to Liverpool. There is interest in him and whilst Southampton don't want to sell him he has not signed a new contract leaving Southampton to make provision if he does leave - and they have a firm target in mind.}

Ed002, thank you for the info, can I just clarify on Traore please I assume your talking about in the summer and no way it happens in Jan?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Right - nothing I have said implies Liverpool buying at any particular time.}
