Loan or permanent?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's a loan deal according to Ed008 - the only Ed with that sad an existence he actually follows Italian football.}

24 Aug 2015 08:17:49
Uhm, you guys mean Balotelli to AC on loan right?

Agree4 Disagree0

24 Aug 2015 09:11:10
Surely you mean Balotelli, not Borini ed?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

24 Aug 2015 10:22:24
Yeah, I think you misread him, ed007. IMH was actually talking about Borini to Inter.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Aug 2015 10:40:19
I thought it was baloteli to ac and borini to inter. Both loans and with us paying a portion of the wages

24 Aug 2015 14:14:26
Not that I'm complaining, but why are AC Milan taking him back? Wasn't it the fact that they were P'd off at his behaviour last summer that led to them selling him to us? Heaven knows, he hasn't improved since then!

24 Aug 2015 15:12:06

Ok seems like I got a good response regarding sterling, firstly whatever you think about him is correct and Aidy ward is poison, Rodgers and sterling fell out a long time ago and it's all do with Rodgers wanting to give him advice about his career lifestyle and so on, sterling refused to listen and it wasn't just Rodgers he refused to have a sit down with some real legends and well respected people, he also clashed with a few players at Liverpool who tried to talk to him, he's a bit of a no it all. When Saido Berahino "parted company" ward tried to sue him! Anyway sterling was desperate to go back to London( the club used to drive him back every other week) Chelsea where never going to pay the fee, or the wages ward wanted, he has no role models at all apart from ward who he really looks up to for some reason and mates that use him for his money he's to stupid to see what's going on around him I think ed001 alluded to something like this before, in the end Liverpool are very very happy he's gone, he's a sensitive boy and the booing and hatred he's getting from around the country is sapping his confidence. At the end of the day he's following the wrong advice and everyone knows it but him, he might have a successful career but at what expense I know there is something I'm missing and I really can't remember what it is! Also from what I can gather Rodgers is quite popular within the squad right now, and everyone's fond of O'driscoll, pepijn ljinders has given a lot of confidence to the youngsters as a sort of gateway to the first team.

Ward is not a baby sitter and Raheem made his own bed.

Agree3 Disagree0

24 Aug 2015 04:36:02
Raheem upset a lot of people in Liverpool {not the club} and had to leave the city. Can't go into detail, but I have a friend who is a father of a 17 year old daughter who would happily remove any use his legs were for him and my friend isn't the only angry father.

Sorry OP, I'm not really sure what the point of your post is. Sterling may have a manager who people don't seem to like, but the same manager has also come through for him. Sterling is getting paid five times what he was earning here, he is playing for a team sitting pretty at the top of the League and arguably favourites for the title at the moment, Sterling will be playing CL football this season while his former team head to some far flung corner of Europe to play some team most of us have never heard of. Sterlings mananger might be an arse, but he has certainly come through for his client.

Secondly, you state that Brendan Rodgers is seemingly popular with the squad at the moment, but going on what Ed001 has said several times, there are certainly, it seems, quite a few members of the squad who will certainly not be fans of Brendan Rodgers after breaking promises to them.

Thirdly, you talk about some gateway through to the first team for our young players, I'm assuming you mean our academy players, but I certainly struggle to see where this gateway to the first team is supposed to be. As stated by the Ed's, we currently have a bloated squad and we need to get rid of players before we can even register the squad with the PL. Furthermore, the squad we do finally register will contain players of questionable quality and high wages blocking any pathway you speak of to the first team. I certainly struggle to see any pathway to the first team.

Good post Tomato - heard similar things about Sterling in the city - obv you don't quite know what to believe as all gets chinese whispers but for what its worth one of his teachers from a couple years ago described him as a moron so not surprising he's easily led. Good business both ways i think.

Hey Eds. Any chance at all of us going in for Wanyama now that he's requested to leave?

I know the squad is ridiculously huge but he'd be perfect for our midfield with Lucas on the way out.

{Ed002's Note - No, Liverpool has never shown an interest in him.}

Y the hate towards Wanyama? He is decent player who made look Lovren the next Maldini.

Agree1 Disagree6

{Ed001's Note - no he didn't, the system of play made Lovren look good.}

23 Aug 2015 08:47:19
Well, what would you call the club and committee in singing the player paying double the fees with a complete different system of play?
Majority of average defenders looks extremely good if you play a deep defensive system or with two holding players.
Cahill and Ivanovic are examples.

I see Victor Wanyama has told Southampton he wants to leave, personally I think after Matic he is the best DM in the league, would he be a player Liverpool would be interested in, if Lucas leaves.

Thanks in advance
