Scott Sinclair coming to Liverpool in the summer, you heard it here first. No games at city, he wants out. Brendan knows him and needs a wide man.

controversy

The one thing about Scott is that he will be fresh. he`s done nowt for a year. In my mind that is the only plus in signing him. Pinhead

Every single wideman we currently have is better

Do people just come out with random things and then say 'you heard it here first' just in case they become true they seem like they are in the know? Well fella, not only would we have heard it here first because you are the one who made it up, it was actually heard a number of times in January

Sinclair is terrible.

Evening eds, do you think Liverpool would consider buying Ashley Williams of Swansea? I see some rumours linking us with him I just wanted your take on it? {Ed002's Note - Try the search function.}

Yeah that would do the atmosphere in the dressing room the world of good, let's buy a player who thinks our star man is the biggest cheating person he's had the displeasure of playing against and hates so much he felt the need to public ally slate him in his autobiography.

Great idea that why don't we put a cheeky bid in for evra whilst were at it.

If you take the time to read the Telegraph on 23-02-13 you will read that Williams cleared the air over his published diaries with Rogers and Luis I read into the story that a bid could be on the cards

24 Feb 2013 18:32:10
Ed, federico fernandez, is he a player that could become available. At 23 he looks a very fine prospect? {Ed002's Note - It is possible that he will be made available in the summer.}

Ed002 do u think there is any chance of rodgers going at the end of the season or do u think the owners will definately keep him on? {Ed002's Note - As far as I am aware there is, at this point in time, no chance to move Rodgers on at the end of the season.}

24 Feb 2013 19:13:30
Rodgers will be given til christmas at least to show improvment. Just for record I think he is the
right man to move us on

Why are people so keen to see Rodgers leave? All these players who have signed long term have signed because they buy into his philosophy and the his plan.

How long do you think people like Suarez are going to put up with us swapping managers causing more instability and a longer transitional period.

People need to get real he is doing a good job it's going to take though but I have complete faith in him and what he's trying to do.

Ed as u have said before the target was champions league and the owners will surely change something seeing that we missed the champions league by a mile. So surely one of the options is too change manager hence why they enquired about ancellotti a while ago?

Plays nice football but way to many defeats and he has to go on this season's performance and based on the signings of borini and Allen should go just for that

I have to say that posters with no names generally post comments that show a complete lack of football knowledge and understanding.

Case and point with the poster above.

He would sack a manager based on some signings which haven reached their potential yet and because of some defeats in a managers first season rather than see the style that's forming and huge positives this year after the big changes in the Summer. Impatient fickle fans that know nothing about football except that winning is good. Know no idea that to get there, there is a process and that this is well under way.

I should just ignore them I suppose but they are so annoying.

Davey Sulls

Our club needs stability, leave the man alone, were playin the best footie iv seen 4 awhile, sort the hitches and we r headn in right direction.

How long is this mediocrity exceptable Rodgers needs to go end of season his tactics are never going to win titles

Rodgers has till Christmas.

If we don't give a manager time then we will never have stability and will never be able to challenge at the very top. Rodgers needs years, not months.

Champions League football was a ridiculously optimistic target by the owners - I'm not sure the fans even expected that. We are making progress, if we sack Rodgers then it is back to square 1 all over again. How many times do we have to rebuild?

Hey eds, have we at some point shown interest in either malagas iturra or biglia? Thanks {Ed002's Note - Anderlecht rejected an approach from Parma last season but I suspect he will move in the summer with interest from Napoli, Fiorentina, Southampton, Wolfsburg, AC Milan and Arsenal. There may well be interest from other Italian clubs. He has, on a number of occasions, expressed an interest in playing in Spain but previous interest from Real Madrid seems to have waned; lately his desire is to move to Italy. Anderlecht have found a replacement already. There is every chance he might interest a club like Liverpool, but there is nothing right now. I am by no means sure that there has been interest shown in Manuel Iturra.}

24 Feb 2013 17:11:46
What are the chances of getting Eric Lamela? Very good young talent and Roma are struggling. {Ed002's Note - About zero.}

24 Feb 2013 16:36:14
Eds, what are the odds of benteke joing lfc in the summer {Ed002's Note - Liverpool would need to show interest first.}

24 Feb 2013 16:33:04
Hey eds. is there any interest from Liverpool for PSG's Javier Pastore?Also is Liverpool interested in Falcao? {Ed002's Note - No, not in either player.}

24 Feb 2013 16:25:52
Any idea eds if Forrest from Celtic has been considered looks pretty good the last 18 months or so {Ed002's Note - There is no interest in him from Liverpool right now as far as I am aware.}

24 Feb 2013 16:16:01
hye eds,
i read the post that Liverpool looking to sign feyenoord duo, stefan de vrij and bruno martins indi for 25m. I like both of them but I think the price is too much.
is the rumours is true? {Ed002's Note - There is certainly interest in de Vrij.}

24 Feb 2013 14:49:10
Are we looking at Kapino?

Thanks

24 Feb 2013 14:25:45
To eds,
Has Liverpool shown any interest in kevin trapp?also is there any goalkeeper that Liverpool has shown interest at this time?read the post where you said that there is opinion that Liverpool may make a move on al-habsi, is that true?hope it is not. hoping for a reply. YNWA {Ed002's Note - There has been no interest in Trapp that I am aware of. The Begovic, Al-Habsi posts stands.}

24 Feb 2013 14:55:23
If I'm not mistaken, one ed say that there is interest from liv in a brazilian goalkeeper. I do not remember his name, maybe rafael. is the interest still remain?thanks. {Ed002's Note - That was a while back and I am not aware that interest still remains. It was tied in with Doni going the other way.}

Why wouldn't you want al habsi. goalkeeper is the one position where prem proven is important. in other positions I don't really think it is though

Al-Habsi. are you off your head!?Tell you what if we are that desperate for a keeper (and I still think Pepe will stay) then my old mam who is 70 has some spare time. jeeeeeez peoples Al-Habsi can't catch a cold never mind keep goal for lfc. Have some pride!Pinhead

Hi Eds, Obviously Liverpool are looking for defensive players atm and right now nobody seems to care about anything but Suarez - but what are the chances of Johnson or Agger leaving? and I know we are looking at a couple of Centre backs atm but is there any interest in cover for left back and holding midfield?

I have also noticed that Joe Allen rarely starts games anymore, is there a chance of him leaving in the summer?

finally; is there any chance of Yesil, Suso and some other young players going out on loan?

thanks for your time Eds, appreciate what your doing here. {Ed002's Note - I don't know anything of Johnson, Allen or Agger leaving. It is too early to think of loans.}

24 Feb 2013 12:19:36
Eds is there anyone we know to have interest in as every player people mention were nevef going to sign. Going to be a very muted summer then which I highly doubt {Ed002's Note - People keep listing players who are doing well in the fantasy football games so the answer will invariably be no. People are also seemingly only interested in attacking midfield players and strikers which is not the priority right now. The players Liverpool are interested in, such as centre backs, are mentioned regularly but as it is not an attractive or high-profile position people just skip over those posts.}

I too can get carried away with the offensive positions as we all want to see attacking football but the reality is that defensively we have been lacking over the entire season. We have had spells of good defence but there is always a lapse in concentration or mad mistake, this need to be cut out!
Goals win games but defences win championships! The balance is crucial! YNWA

24 Feb 2013 12:07:08
Any chance of Jordy Clasie in summer eds? {Ed002's Note - I think Liverpool's priorities will be elsewhere.}

24 Feb 2013 11:51:21
Eds,

Regardless of Skrtle departing, do you think we will be in the market for a centre half in the summer or do think the manager will give the likes of Kelly and Wisdom a chance? {Ed002's Note - LIverpool has been looking at CBs, so yest.}

24 Feb 2013 11:12:14
Only four more days for Zenit to sign Skrtel.

24 Feb 2013 09:49:48
Oussama Assaidi could be sold in the summer transfer window if a suitable offer was made.

23 Feb 2013 23:44:33
Alright Eds, just wondering if you can settle my Sunday with a bit of ITK rumour intelligence! Is there confirmed LFC interest in the following players;

1. Christian Eriksen
2. Dries Mertens
3. Ashley Williams
4. Toby Alderweireld
5. Arda Turan
6. Iker Muniain

The more information, obviously the better, but all is to your giving mood! Have a good day guys.

Cheers. {Ed002's Note - As a special treat: (1) Back in July the Milan Press Office were convinced of interest from Manchester United and they have let it be known that they expected a bid to be made by for Eriksen. Expect Milan and Roma to press if a bid is made by Manchester United and I remain in agreement with them that there is every chance of that happening. The player remains adament that he will stay in Amsterdam for18 more months before moving to Spain but would likely jump at the chance of a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona if the opportunity arises. However, Ajax will not let him run down his contract so a move beckons in the summer. The player will see out the rest of the season at Ajax and see if he can attract attention from Spain. (2) I don't see Mertens moving to Liverpool in the summer. If he moves next summer I suspect it may well be to Bayern Munich, subject to the new manager wanting him, although there remains serious interest from Lazio and a little interest from Barcelona. (3) I can confirm that as of Friday 15th, Liverpool has made no approach to Swansea regarding Ashley Williams, so the reports linking him with a move seem no more than speculation. (4) Ajax's Toby Alderweireld looks a likely canditate to replace William Gallas at Spurs in the summer. (5) Arda was certainly looked at by Liverpool back in the day but clearly those that were in control of transfers did not progress any initial interest. Eventually he moved to Spain. We knew very early on that he would be leaving Galatasaray for Atletico Madrid once money had been freed up through the sale of Aguero - although there was strong interest from elsewhere. Arda Turan will almost certainly move this coming summer subject to a suitable bid being made - something in the order of £18M-£20M. The likely destinations are England, Germany and Italy with rapidly increasing interest from Germany with both Bayern Munich and Schalke 04 declaring they would like to take the player. Atletico Madrid have already rejected a move from Schalke saying they did not want to sell in January. There is an outside chance of a return to Turkey. (6) Muniain was touted around the clubs on behalf of Bilbao in January 2012 - and the two clubs in England that were approached were Chelsea and Manchester United. The asking price was 40M euros which is related to the buy-out clause that exists for Iberian clubs. They won't get it because I don't think clubs would risk half of that on a player who is young and has had some off field issues. If the price comes down to a reasonable level (20M euros might be an acceptable figure) I can see interest from several English clubs including Manchester United. Lyon, Bayern Munich, Napoli and Roma have sustained interest which is still there but I could not see a cash deal involving Lyon as possible at this time. Rumours abound of Juventus and Palermo interest. It was thought an eventual move to Barcelona would happen, although his performances this season have not been good at all and his temper has gotten the better of him again on more than one occasion.}
