hi Ed02 not a Liverpool question as such but Torres looks like a angry man every time he plays and with you being in the know about Chelsea in particular why did Torres stay with Chelsea this season as he was never going to be a regular with the squad you have and being a world cup year I would have thought he would want reg footy?is it a money thing ie wages and want Chelsea wanted for a transfer or is it more complicated than that?

Believable4 Unbelievable11

{Ed002's Note - It was more than likely the lack of opportunities elsewhere. He will be one of the strikers that moves on in the summer and he is already being courted by the "soon to be" owner of Valencia. He is however working very hard at getting things right at the moment and he is putting the effort in to chase the ball down or whatever the footballing term is. Chelsea will not hold off any move for him.}

Cheers mate for the heads up.

I wonder if Nando subscribes to The Guardian?

Is the soon to be owner Peter Lim, Ed02? I read something about his bid failing.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

It's a shame that his talent has been wasted really. I don't hold a grudge with FT, I hope when goes to Spain he can recapture that kind of form what made him a joy to watch.

Hi eds.
any truth in this rumour that martinez wants to bring Joe Allen to everton in the summer or is it just rubbish?
personally hope its not, he not good enough to play for us in my opinion.
cheers lads all the best

Believable4 Unbelievable33

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

Hes destined for the championship I think huge disapointment

Agree4 Disagree3

{Ed001's Note - this is the problem with English fans, if you aren't big and run around a lot very quickly you are seen as a disappointment. Must be why England are so successful in world football with all their big strong players, while the little technicians of Spain win nothing. Oh wait.}

Kerching ed

Agree0 Disagree0

I have nothing against british players, we have some if the best in tbe league at Liverpool, but joe allen really isn't in that catagorie!do you really think he is worth 15million!?

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed001's Note - how do you categorise someone's worth? All I know is that he is a very good player with a lot to offer our team, his price is none of my business, nor is it relevant to this discussion.}

And what do you think he brings to our team when he plays?

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - if you can't see what he brings to the team, then you know absolutely nothing about the game. He is a very good player, if he was big and strong and run around like a headless chicken so it shows up well on MOTD, I am sure you would love him. Instead he is an intelligent player who lacks physicality so uses his head to make up for it. He brings a calmness to our possession, always looking to move the ball quickly to unsettle the opposition and looks to get forward in support of attacks as well as helping to protect the defence. He is no Xavi or Xabi Alonso, but he is a very good player who everyone seems to forget was our best player for the first few games of last season, prior to picking up an injury.}

Ed your spot on he was vital against swansea when he came on and many more games when Gerrard got injured he was top notch was unlucky getting a knock again

Agree2 Disagree4

I totally agree with the Ed. I think joe Allen is a cracking little player. When gerrard was injured and we had him, Henderson and coutinho in midfield, we actually played better than with gerrard playing!

He also made the difference when he came on against Swansea, he made us more confident on the ball and we had more opportunities at goal whilst he was on.

He is very underrated but he is actually a very technically solid player. All those supposed 'fans' who think he isn't that good, obviously don't know much about football.

Agree4 Disagree4

Prior to his last injury he was playing really well.

When he came on against Swansea he was the best player on the park.

He will be a big player for us next year.

Inteligent player.

Hi Ed001- just been told by a Catalan friend that we are in talks with Valdes of Barca. Big wages but free agent in the summer. Any truth in this? Thanks Shanks.

Believable9 Unbelievable35

{Ed001's Note - I don't know anything about that, I will have to ask around for you.}

You don't need a friend in Catalan to tell you this, it's been in the media the last 3wks, anyway it's not true, 2 days ago he was offered to Man City according to the papers and he's supposed to have signed a pre-contract with Monaco, although I think that pre-contract agreement has passed but their pushing it through again

Agree15 Disagree0

Valdez is the Spanish David James. He's a joke.

Hey Eds I read a post on here where you had said your expecting one of Agger or Skrtel to be sold at the end of the season do you know if theirs any plans to play Mamadou Sakho in a more central position or give Tiago Ilori a run of games in pre-season

And do we still have or have ever had a soild interest in Kyriakos Papadopoulos

Thanx guys Much appreciated

Believable1 Unbelievable10

{Ed001's Note - you've lost me, Sakho plays centre back for us anyway. Ilori is up in the air, he was not willing to wait his chance, so he will have some work to do to convince the club about his attitude. I would expect him to get some games though while a decision is made.
We are not currently looking at centre backs, though we were interested in him previously.}

Ramy2007- you've not been confusing Sakho and Cissokho have you?

Agree0 Disagree0

Papadopolus has had a few injuries which have apparently slowed him down considerably, doubt we will look at him again.

Ed, are we interested in Remy?

Believable4 Unbelievable29

{Ed001's Note - we have not shown any interest in him. I don't know why people keep asking, he isn't the right type of player, has attitude issues and is not good enough for us anyway. We already have Sturridge, why would we buy a huge downgrade on him?}

Agreed ed01

hello dear eds,

was wondering what's next for conor coady
his loan ends this month as I remember.
it seems he has made some fine performances while on loan.
does he still have a chance to play for Liverpool?
thanx

Believable7 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - I thought he had already extended his loan? According to Clough it was close to happening and both Liverpool and Coady were keen to extend, that was a while back he said it. I could have sworn that since then it had been done, maybe I am wrong and they just entered talks over extending. If it hasn't been extended, I expect it to be extended.}
