Just read about Liverpool being interested in Adama Traore? Probably just nonsense in the papers but where would he fit in? Back up to Trent/ Salah? Then what about Minamino?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach for Traore from Liverpool - another side enquired and were quoted a ridiculous price. Liverpool do not have the funds to buy expensive squad players, he would therefore be a replacement for Salah as his natural position is RW. I would think a move unlikely.}

Journalists have got nothing to run so are making stuff up, we won't be buying any RW/ LW starters unless others move on.

Sky Sports are saying 4 of the top 6 clubs want Josh King, is Liverpool one of them? He is a cheaper option to Werner and I think would qualify as HG?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware - Manchester United tried to sign him in January. He is HG.}

That signing would make zero sense. Might as well give Brewster the minutes.

Just read Bayern not likely to make Coutinho loan permanent, such a shame a great talent going backwards. Loved him when he was with us but we are a better team without him. Any ideas were he ends up?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Philippe Coutinho (AM/LW) after missing out on Bruno Fernandes and Hakim Ziyech Spurs have enquired after Coutinho and been told that a loan fee would €30M for a season with an option to buy at €50M at the end of the season with any loaning club paying half his wages. I would expect any interested side to look for a significant reduction in such a deal. The player is being offered around PL sides. Barcelona will have to keep him if no takers are found although with a small amount of money owed to Liverpool still there may be room for them to negotiate - but I don't expect them to be interested. Leicester might offer a solution to get him off the books - but again there would be a need for some negotiation. Right now Barcelona will likely cut their losses and get the best deal they can as soon as they can - his representative may look to some sort of creative deal with an English side - but that could cause a delay.}

would wages be a problem for Leicester and spurs on permeant deals ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - His wage demands would have to drop considerably from his €215 per week to move to any side on a permanent basis.}

I think if Barcelona would deal at £50m we should really consider taking him back as long as he would take a good reduction of wages.

Also would love Timo Werner. If we could sell a few, Origi, Shaqiri, Lovren and Wilson for example we might make enough to cover one of them signings. Also with the wages saved from them along with Llanana who I suspect will move on so Coutinho taking his position in the squad.
