What do you think of Fredy Guarin of Porto?
Any chance of him coming to Liverpool? {Ed001's Note - there was a chance in the summer, not sure if it is likely to happen now, good player though, would be a decent option.}

Ed sorry if it's been asked already but is de Jong a January target he is a fantastic finisher of the ball.

Sorry Ed, not a liverpool fan but i dont understand why liverpool are pursuing Luuk De Jong who plays as a striker when you have AC? who is pretty much the same height. {Ed001's Note - Luuk De Jong is not really a target man as such, though he can cover that position if needed. He offers the ability to play wide right or as a poacher or behind the striker. He is also a clinical goalscorer, which is something Liverpool desperately need at the moment.}

Hi Ed's Could it be possible that we move for Giuseppe Rossi, I know he played for the mancs but he's what we need, a finisher. {Ed001's Note - unlikely, Villareal are asking over 40m for him.}

Pay 50 for the man he is that good. we paid 35 for Andy and 20 for HENDO, he is more proven than both. so lets just buy him already we need match winners. and enuf abt Cl lets just win the league once off. next year will have its own issues we will make new excuses. every team is building so lets just get on with winning.

Hi eds, in your opinion who do you think could be cleared off our books in january/summer windows?, as in those deemed surplus not who may want to leave for whatever reason. Maybe maxi? Aurelio? Just wondered what your view is. Cheers, Roblfc86 {Ed001's Note - Maxi and Aurelio are the most likely exits in January, other than unwanted players farmed out on loan. Kuyt is likely to leave in the summer, though that is not certain, he is still regarded as important to the squad but it is unlikely he will be anywhere near first choice next season.}

Hey ed do you know of any interest in Gaston Ramirez or is it just paper talk ? also did Suarez recommend him like Coates ? cheers ed {Ed001's Note - there is interest and yes Suarez recommended him, but I don't know of any definite intention to bid for him yet.}

Eds, do we still have any interest in keisuke honda?

The russian league will be over soon so we'll prob be able to get him at a 'reasonable' price.

He's a useful player, can play across the midfield or upfront and has a bit of creativity.

Plus he's still fairly young.

Any chance, do you think?:-)

Singapore Red {Ed002's Note - Liverpool rejected him at £8M last January. His price this summer was over £20M. I doubt interest from Liverpool remains.}

Ed are moussa sow and luuk de jong the only attacking players you know we have a current interest in or are there any others? I personally think we need to bring someone in jan who can have the sort of impact suarez had, do you think any of the players we are interested in can do that? {Ed002's Note - I am not convinced that Liverpool are interested in Moussa Sow. There has been interest from others, but Liverpool?}

Ed do you think there is a chance of Lucas Barrios?? {Ed002's Note - Whilst I think it unlikely that would interested in moving from Dortmund to Liverpool, it is not totally out of the question that he could be available in the summer. He has been having a bad time with injury this season and there is no interest that I know of, so for me it is unlikely.}

Just a bit of wishful thinking on my part Eds really. Not even a teeny tiny snifter of Seydou Doumbia? I know theres probably not, but thought I might as well check.

TSP {Ed002's Note - There has been an enquiry from Newcastle and it is likely if there is another team interested they will be from North London. I don't think a move to Anfield is likely and I think Liverpool have set their target elewhere (in De Jong).}

Cheers Ed, was just wondering. We need the finisher and he appears to score goals for fun. Ah well.

TSP {Ed002's Note - A new player is identified by the fans after each and every game that does not result in a win. Doumbia has done well recently and the result is MOTD fever. It'll be someone else next week. And scoring goals in a different league is no great indicator - Mateja Kezman sustained a pretty much goal per game ratio in the Netherlands but did squat for Chelsea. Maybe the club will become interested but I very much suspect not.}

I've had half an eye on Doumbia since he joined CSKA last year but I understand what you mean. This place was mental over the summer and I dread to think what it was like after the Spurs game.

quick question for any ed. im a birmingham city fan and i know that we have been looking for an attacking creative midfielder and i was wondering whether its likely that suso would go out on loan. his a great talent from what ive seen and would be great player in the championship. do you think its likely he will go out on loan or because his only 17/18 will he stay in liverpool reserves for another season or 2.

GMN {Ed002's Note - I think he will certainly go out on loan and that will perhaps be next season. I wonder if it may be a loan to Spain for a few months? If I were Liverpool I would fear that playing him in the Championship may see him hoofed in to the upper tier once too often.}

Evening ed, been reading a lot of stuff about Marko Marin on the internet and I've seen him play a couple of times, looks like a really good player, and seeing as we need a right wing do you think that

A: We'd be interested?
B: He'd be interested?
C: Bremen would let him go?

I would love to see him at Anfield, looks like an excellent winger.

Ed just been scanning the net for stories and found various reports on Markova Marin of Dortmund. Depending on what you read he is eithe in last year of his contract or has two to run.

The fee also varies from 6 - 22 million depending on where you read it.

Do you know of any concrete interest from us and can you confirm how long he has to run on his contract?

Wondering whether there was any interest at all in signing Arda Turan during the summer of 11? {Ed002's Note - Not from Liverpool. We knew all along that Arda Turan would move this past summer and he looked Atletico Madrid bound from the start. Dortmund, Villarreal and Spurs showed various levels of interest that they had. To try and persuade Chelsea to let go of Drogba, Galatasaray rather surprisingly offered up Arda as part of the deal. I have no idea why Liverpool did not follow up the interest they previously had in the player - the same is true in respect of Honda.}

Just wondering after all the talk in the summer of us looking at a arsenal player..
I still think we need a goalscorer do u think with van persie in his last year of contract we might be tempted. He speaks Dutch and would be great for luis.
The faceman {Ed001's Note - I would think if the chance were there he would be considered at the very least, he is a truly special player, just very injury prone.}

City Want him so we can forget that.

Totaly agree with injury prone bit but but at a cut price he his well worth the punt..

Ed could you see us signing both a attacking mid eg ramirez/kagawa and a striker eg sow/de jong/leadro damiao in january as i think they are needed? Especially if maxi and some others left

Ed if we are looking for a striker in jan like you said we have looked at de jong, then do you reckon we might go after someone like lavezzi who is experienced and everyone knows is a top player unlike de jong who you can't be sure off. Also lavezzi wouldn't cost that much more, only just over 20m. What do you think ed? {Ed002's Note - I really doubt that you will see Lavezzi moving to Liverpool in January.}

Carool to newcastle for £20m - Torres to Liverpool for £30m - sounds like good business - three happy clubs , two happy players - and we get to score plenty - and a partner for Suarez

I have good contacts and Hazard and Lavezzi to come in January {Ed002's Note - No, I don't think so. Liverpool's interest in Lavezzi pre-dates the last January window. He has an agent in Frederic Guerra who does a really good job of talking up his players without being pushy; and a fabulous technique where he denies interest in his players from major clubs thereby attracting attention to them. It is also likley that he will stay at Napoli - although there is potentially interest from several clubs including Manchester City who need a replacement for Tevez, Zenit and Inter. As for Hazard, I also have ggod contacts, and he will not be joining Liverpool in January.}

Ed's everyday I'm seeing more and more on here about de Jong, got a few questions firstly is this deal the real deal how likely ATM is it ? Have we (Kenny, commolli etc) made contact ? Is he keen on the move and do you think he is good enough and the sort of player we need ?

Aussie red {Ed002's Note - It is pretty tough to answer "is this deal the real deal" but there is interest. How likely? Reasonably. We will see soon if interest is followed up as I am aware of interest from Newcastle and from Lille, and others (particularly German clubs) could come out of the woodwork if offers start being made. FC Twente of Enschede are aware of Liverpool's interest in the player. I don't know whether the player is keen on a move, but I suspect he will want to consider any offers that are made. He has a pro-active agent which may help in keeping everyone abreast of the situation. Good enough or not is entirely subjective, so I won't answer that.}

Can't see how these 2 players would be worth £35million and I don't believe that FSG will accept a big loss on a player that they only bought in January.

Hey ed, rumours going around that we made informal contact with the agent of Andrè Schurrle just wondering if theres anything in it ? {Ed002's Note - I would suspect there is absolutely nothing in it gievn he only signed a 5 year contract with Leverkusen this summer. He has also just gotten in to the national side. As far as I am aware his agent only deals with clubs in Germany.}
