And johnson quality winger who was pissed wen came off

Any chance of them signing ed ? {Ed001's Note - there is always a chance, probably more chance of Jones as City are very unlikely to sell Johnson.}

Eds, Any info on Rolando / Porto doing the rounds. I remember a month or so ago his agent was throwing his hat into our ring and manure with Juve. is it old rumours surfacing now the clock is running down for the next window. Any chance of Lucas from sao paolo Ed? He is class and would be a great attacking midfielder instead of the sh*tty Meireles {Ed002's Note -Most unlikely.}

Any of the ED's hear anything about LFC being in talks with Falcao? {Ed002's Note - Nothing about "talks" - possible interest exists though.}

25 Apr 2011 21:00:56
2. Today I had a word with a friend over in France who said Liverpool is close to signing a 17 year old talent. . didn't know the name of the player bt said deal is almost done. . .any idea who it might be or if u can have a look at it. .

Peter N'gog is the lad. David's younger brother, David said he will play better if he's there with him.

Reading about Charlie Adam and David Vaughan on the banter page reminded me that we have apparently requested scouting reports on right sided Blackpool player, Phillips, [not sure of his first name! ]. I understand that three separate reports have been filed, but this does not imply that any bid is imminent, just that we are keeping tabs on his progress. I'd be happy to hear from anyone who knows what he is like as a player.

Eds post this in rumours so everyone can see.

People need to stop giving these eds stick for what they are doing. If you don't like what they are saying to you then go make your own site, you'll see that they put in a lot of work out of their own time just for us, so just shut it and stop giving them a hard time.

hi yeah totally agree with this this site is easaily the best rumour site and the eds could just post rumours but they allow us to have our say so lets not abuse this
grade A site btw keep up the good work

25 Apr 2011 20:29:12
Kenny Dalglish to try and buy Aaron Lennon as a winger and Jermain Defoe as a backup Striker. Would these be enough for us to win the league Ed? {Ed001's Note - neither are of interest and neither are good enough either.}

Payet is off to PSG, Matuidi is off to some Italian Team (I think Napoli?). So anyone who says them in their rumours, take the rumour with a pinch of salt because it won't be true. Hulk is Man City bound, as are Snejider and Sanchez. Hazard should join Arsenal. De Gea and Rodwell off to Utd. We will get Young, Adam, Enrique, Dzsudzsak and Cahill.
************************************
Young is staying at Villa, Adam is signing for Spurs, Enrique is off to Juventus, Dzsudzsak staying at PSV and Cahill off to Arsenal :D
**************************
You prob right as we are going after Jarvis, McCarthy, Payet, van Wolfswinkel & Rolando. Young will def not stay at Villa - I think we 50/ 50 at the moment. Depends if Nani leave Utd.

25 Apr 2011 19:19:06
Hi ed,

Personally, I think Liverpool will go after 1 more striker, just because I think if we get a decent off, then N'gog will be off leaving Andy Carroll as our only out and out striker (i don't think Suarez would be effective as a lone front man)

So I can see Liverpool going after someone big, strong and quick who can play off the shoulder off the last defender.

Do you think Liverpool could make a successful bid for Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata? He is 18, and has a great future. Seems like Mourinho wants to keep in but reports have suggested he has a 10mil buy out clause.

If not, what are the chances we could renew our previous interest in Hugo Rodallega, also around the 10mil mark?

Hi Ed and readers I live in Malaga and have a season ticket for them and I was speaking to some other Malaga fans and they was telling me how Malaga are planning on making a cheeky bid for Lucas. What do you reckon Ed? {Ed001's Note - he is not up for sale, Dalglish values him highly.}

What do Chelski & the British Army have in common?

Both paid 50m for a sub. {Ed007's Note - Now that's a poor one!! lol}

25 Apr 2011 17:58:38
Liverpool have now scored in 16 consecutive Barclays Premier League games - the best run of any top-flight side this season. (Opta)

Our form on last 6 home and 6 away games is 26pts

Utd - 25pts and Chelsea - 29pts.

What an interesting season we have next year -and we've got more player's to come in!

25 Apr 2011 17:10:35
Ed thommo on rawk says we made a bid of 28m pounds for aguero in january do you think its true and could we make another bid for him in the summer. cheers eds

{Ed002's Note - It is tough to see what Liverpool would do with Aguero? I expect the player to go to Real Madrid with Chelsea a slight possibility. If he came it would make the side very narrow indeed, unless Carroll was dropped to the bench. So it remains unlikely to me.}

25 Apr 2011 16:35:19
Ed002 on 24 Apr 2011 20:19:13

No, mate, I wasn't trying to put words into your mouth - or "fingers".
Perhaps the wording was incorrect.
You certainly didn't make any list of players who're likely to be sign for LFC summer.

Thing is, I've watched folks pose questions to you and make player-suggestions. You gave your honest opinions, on a case-by-case basis.
Those lists I compiled were a collection of those responses/ opinions.

Let's redo it.

{Ed002’s Note – I have taken a shot at a few answers as well. Glad someone is keeping score.}

NO CHANCE: Subotic, Sanchez, Hazard, Neymar, Lamela, Eriksen, Pastore, Lukaku, Ganso

{Ed002’s Note – There is a chance of Lukaku if Liverpool were to pay Anderlecht’s asking price of €30M. This is what other clubs have baulked at. Subotic is being listed as “not for sale” by his club although he remains very much a long-term Chelsea target. Sanchez’ situation is clear and I don’t think I need to say it again at this juncture. Hazard does not want to come and there is certainly no interest in Neymar. Roma and Atletico are on the trail of Lamela and there may be issues surrounding partial ownership that keeps him out of England for the immediate future – if I had to take a punt I would say Palermo might prove to be a destination that is acceptable to all parties. As of yesterday it seems much more likely that Pastore will be leaving Palermo this summer. We are looking at a fee of €60M and up. Ganso will probably head to Inter or Milan, with perhaps interest from Barcelona changing that. If there were a surprise signing from this group – perhaps Lukaku.}

EXTREMELY UNLIKELY: Aguero, Hulk, Griezmann, Coentrao, Cissokho, Mata, Santon, Sahin, Lucas (Sao Paulo), Gourcuff, Pjanic, Hamsik,

{Ed002’s Note – I expect Aguero to go to Real Madrid with Chelsea a possibility. Outside chance of Hulk but seems very unlikely. Again an outside chance of Mata who could be a surprise and “marquee” signing – but seems unlikely.}

UNLIKELY: Benzema, Taiwo, Banega, Canales, Krkic, Manuel Vargas, Honda, Turan, Barrios, Wickham, Bastos

{Ed002’s Note – Well my views on Benzema are well documented, it remains unlikely and sure as hell never “all but done”. Taiwo’s name keeps coming up and aside from there being little or no interest from the club and the player declaring an interest in other clubs (notably Benfica), I don’t think he is Liverpool “quality”. Canales will probably not be sold but a year on loan is a possibility, but Real Madrid would want him in the starting line-up. Turan seems to be heading to Atletico Madrid or Valencia and Liverpool failed to go after Honda when the opportunity arose. Wickham could be a possibility – but would he want to hang out on the bench?}

The following are players you've deemed "possibly likely to very likely". I'll just group them together, won't categorise (the likelihood).

POSSIBLY LIKELY TO VERY LIKELY:
-Sakho
-Cahill
-Dann
-Kjaer
-Monreal
-Musacchio
-Rolando
-Criscito
-Wendt
-Enrique
-Baines
-Izaguirre
-Pranjic

-Elia
-Payet
-Marveaux
-Young
-Willian
-Jarvis
-Dzsudzsak
-Jeffren
-N'Zogbia
-Afellay
-Sissoko
-M'Vila
-Matuidi
-Defour
-Adam
-Martinez
-Gago
-Llorente
-Gervihno
-Horoa
-Toivonen
-Ricky van Wolfswinkle

{Ed002’s Note – Yep and there are some very good players in this list.}

There are obviously others who've been discussed, but probably nothing firm. Claudemir, Kadlec, Kayal, Hummels, Marin, Cazorla, Clichy, A Johnson, Richards, Perroti, Hernandez, Navas, Mertesacker, James McCarthy, Jones, Downing, Albrighton, Lass Diarra, Kranjcar are some.

{Ed002’s Note – Right. Again some good players. A warning against Diarra for “baggage” and “nuisance factor”. Perroti is an interesting option as well.

And you're right, there're some other good players who've not been that mentioned, or not mentioned at all. E.g.

-Vertonghen
-Lahm
-Albiol
-Dawson
-Sneijder
-De Rossi
-Giussepe Rossi
-Pato
-Goetze
-Morata
-Hernanes
-Nilmar
-Modric
-Leon
-Dzagoev
-Vidal
-Munian
-Nasri (YES, HIM)
-Handanovic

I've a feeling that you'll rule out Sneijder, Pato, Nasri, Lahm, Dzagoev, De Rossi, Hernanes, Goetze, Modric and Leon. . for your own (well-documented) reasons, and that's fine. We all are entitled to our opinions.

{Ed002’s Note – I would not rule out all of them. Someone asked about Sneijder earlier and I would only drop him from being a “good chance” on the basis of I am not sure Liverpool are looking for such a player. Dzagoev is a most interesting thought and there is very serious interest in the player from an English club (not Chelsea) as I explained to Ed001 about a month ago. I don’t know if it is Liverpool of course, but may be a really interesting option. To be fair, I think Pato is out of the loop and I guess most would agree. Hard to see Goetze moving this summer. De Rossi, Henanes, Modric and Nasri would all be great signings that I have given no real thought to. There are not obvious arguments against any of them though. Pedro, perhaps an outside chance – remote.

So, in summary, players that Ed002 believes won't be donning the red of Liverpool next season:

-Subotic
-Cissokho
-Coentrao
-Lahm
-Albiol
-Santon
-Hazard
-Pastore
-Sanchez
-Eriksen
-Aguero
-Goetze
-Sahin
-Pjanic
-Hamsik
-Ganso
-Mata
-Neymar
-Hulk
-Sneijder
-Griezmann
-Lukaku
-Lamela
-Lucas
-Gourcuff
-Modric
-Dzagoev
-De Rossi

As you can see fellas, these are all top players. And it could very well happen that none of them join. Whether that'll be a good thing or not only time will tell.

Ed002 is a reliable bloke, so he could be right in saying we not interest in many of those players, and those we interested in are likely to knock we advances back as they'll have, to quote the man himself, "better options".

Well, for me, I'll trust KK. Whoever comes and doesn't summer, we'll be back in the top 4 next season. I MEAN that.

{Ed002’s Note – Kevin Keegan? Didn’t see that coming.}

Fowler Bless Ye All
Cudroe

Why would we need another striker, when dani pacheco and kuyt can be the backup, but a rising star will be fine
******************************
Keep up lad. Pacheco has a bad attitude and is lazy in training. He will leave with Ngog. Kenny has stated he wants 4 top class CF's. Thats, Carroll, Suarez, Kuyt and. . .?

25 Apr 2011 16:20:02
Why don't we just ask macca if he knows anything about aguero so if you read this macca any info on aguero lol??

25 Apr 2011 15:55:24
Edd its reported joe cole is going to be shown the door and kenny wants 10mil for him if that's so then charlie adam is worth atleast 30mil. j.cole has been non exsistant and asking for 10mil is a joke

{Ed002's Note - I expect he will leave in the summer, but may need to be released from his contract in order to avoid paying off his signing on fee. That would then be dependent on someone else paying a signing on fee - Spurs or Newcastle perhaps.}

25 Apr 2011 15:45:11

How much would you pay Kenny to stay? Also where is his Knight-hood. The queen should hurry up and give it to him.

Maybe the newspapers need to do more stories about his charity work

25 Apr 2011 15:17:52
Just been reading mancs page and someone said sneider is coming to us ? Just wondering what the eds thought as I not seen him mentioned on here before . All I know is that next season I can't see any season us not getting in the champions league . Keep the faith red men . The greedyman {Ed002's Note - I am not sure that Sneijder is a player Liverpool need, but he could be available for teh right price. I have not heard any suggestion of interest but it is possible.}

25 Apr 2011 14:58:09
Liverpool FC keeper Brad Jones is top of Fergie's summer wish list as the long term replacement for retiring keeped Edwin Van Der Sar. at the age of 28, he has at least 12 years service left, and Manchester United scouts were at the Jamie Carragher testemonial match to see him in action. Unfortunatly they have not see him play again. He would cost around 25-30 million + Nani, and although Kenny Dalglish is reluctant to let his star man go, a deal could be concluded prior to the opening of the summer transfer window. Heard from a VERY reliable source.

So ed are win perlimanery talks with defour? Brilliant if so is there any one else in similar talks?

Square tomato {Ed002's Note - Benfica have been talking with Defour's representatives for quite a while after agreeing a fee with his club. Liverpool enquired as to whether he would consider a move to England - that, as far as I know, is where we are at.}

This is **e***** speaking
update on joey barton he will arrive in the summer i know his cousins husband very well in fact joey almost signed under houllier but houllier got cold feet just like he did with the lad from leeds lee bowyer seems that the frog wasnt comfortable with tenacious english players he only wanted soft french imports whom he thought were far more skillfull and that having tough guys in the squad he wouldn't be able to control them remember his outburst at stevie gee saying he should' that shouldnt believe whats being written about him? in that he was the best up an coming midfielder in the world.these words from the press came true so if the man who tells you that we have just signed the new zinedine zidane (bruno cheyrou) tells you that then it must be true.
trust me joey arriving and on another note his side kick kevin nolan will also be off QPR if they come up will be his destination

Team for next season Ed what you think?

Jones
Degan - Kyrgiakos - Ayala - Konchesky
Joe Cole- Poulsen - Aquilani - Jovanovic

No need to buy any players cos our youth team will provide back-up to our first team. .
Heard from a reliable source. . All this talk of Kenny Dalglish taking over is just a smoke-screen Ed, i've heard from a good source that its infact Sammy Lee who's gonna be appointed manager at the end of the season :D

Ed, if we are to sign another ST, who at the moment is looking most likely?

I think we should go for a young (

{Ed002's Note - No ones name has come to the fore - if I had to take a flyer on it I would suggest that the club may go back for Ricky Van Wolfswinkel - but there is nothing to support this.}

Guillem balague he is full of she*p i often take a look at what he says on his website and believe me its the same carp everyday the sit doesn't get updated for minths on end and his twitter tweets they just for the gullibe fans of prem clubs hoping that the players hes talking about go to their clubs the guy is an a**ehole the spanish players give him false info all the time for him to put out {Ed002's Note - So you reckon Aguero will be joining Liverpool then? Also, your last prediction was Joey Barton - any updates on that?}

This is not a specific Liverpool rumour, but I thought I'd post it, as it will give us a new traitor to hate if it comes to fruition.

I've heard from a source with a good contact inside Old Trafford that the Scum will be moving for Mascherano in the summer.

If this happens it will show just what a load of crap it was about his missus not settling in the North West.

Tell me if I am wrong the new owners have stated all monies raised will be spent on transfers well if that is the case we have the following available
£2om from Standard Charter
£25M from Warrior new kit sponser
£34M from the selling of the folllowing players
Jovanvic £3M
Cole £8M
Aqualani £13M
Degen £1M
El Zhar £.5M
Insua £3M
Jones £1m
Konchesky £2M
Eccleston £.5m
Poulsen £2M
Darby Free
Amoo Free
Ince Free
Mavinga Free
For this transfer window £54M plus whatever the owners put into the kitty
then we buy the following
Jarvis £8m
Albrighton £10m
Wickham £12 M (loan him back)
Marveaux Free
Adam £8m (last year of his contract)
Cahill £18M
Enrique or Baines £11M
£67M so owners only need to put in £13M

{Ed002's Note - Actually it was the previous owners who stated that new sponsorship money would be spent on players. I assume you are not starting a protest to get the new owners out and bring Hicks and Gillett back? As an aside, the money from the suggested new shirt manufacturers is 18 months away still, and keep in mind it is replacing the existing money gained from that route - so halve it in any case. The money to be made available by NESV/Fenway will largely come in the first instance from money generated by the club, which needs to be self-sufficient as we all know. The real winner here is the money that was previously going on interest payments will no longer be disappearing out of the door (circa £40M) - but it does not mean it will all be made available for transfers. What I imagine Tom Werner was referring to when he discussed the transfer funds was that monies generated by the club (such as through the sale of a player) could be used for transfers (obviously if agreed on a case-by-case basis as I have previously explained). But you must keep in mind that teh costs of running the club come out of the money pot first. I think if you are expecting the owners to throw enormous sums of their own money in to transfers, I suspect that you will have a long wait until that happens. I do however have no doubts that they will provided additional financing themselves as necessary.}

More reports today that we are going for Arsenal's Clichy. Think he'd be a good addition to the squad andwith a year left on deal could get him for about 7 million.

Ed any further news on Steven Defour of Liege would be a great buy if we signed him.

Also do you think it is likely we will pursue Sergio Canales of Madrid? These two would be excellent acquisitions to our team and are still very young.

{Ed002's Note - Nothing new about Defour I am afraid, I guess it will be Liverpool or Benfica unless Manchester United re-ignite their interest. I do not see Canales being sold - he may be available on loan.}

Probably a shot in the dark but if we could persuade Wesley Sneijder to come to Liverpool we could get him for 15m+Aquilani. Inter would then get a replacement and cash and would be happy with that.

Hi Ed's
Not sure if you may have covered this before, but do you guys think if and is it worth the buzz about signing Enrique from Newcastle. Surely there better LB out there for this 10 - 15 mil price tag being branded about.
He couldn't even stay on the line during the weekend. Shocking basics in my eyes.

Thanks people,
Markolfc

{Ed002's Note - I certainly think thre are better options available at the suggested price.}

"Guys I've heard from a very reliable source that Liverpool are going to put bids in for benzene "

What, we are being linked with toxic chemicals now?

Even KK will struggle find to find the right position to play a hydrocarbon compound.

And with Suarez possibly favouring the right, I'm not convinced that a volatile organic liquid like benzene is going to get to the byline enough to make an impact, especially with Young in the squad.

By all means give benzene a run in the reserves, but is it really ready for the pace and intensity of the first team?

Eds post this in rumours so everyone can see.

People need to stop giving these eds stick for what they are doing. If you don't like what they are saying to you then go make your own site, you'll see that they put in a lot of work out of their own time just for us, so just shut it and stop giving them a hard time.

Guys, a friend of mine who's got inside knowledge of Anfield, told me that the deals for Blaise Matuidi and Dimitri Payet are now final and will be announced in a few weeks. The combined fee agreed with St Etienne is in the region of 15 mil. David Ngog may be included in the deal. In that case it'll be Ngog + 10mil. Also Sylvain Marveaux deal is dead due to his injury record over the years.
