Hi Eds, I have read that Bayern and Liverpool have agreed a fee for Thiago. It is something that has just broke on Caught Offside. Do you believe this to be reliable and if an agreement has materialised? Thanks in advance.

Think we are waiting to clear out a few foreign players like Grujic and Karius from the squad before briefing media sources about any progress with the Thiago case. If the buying clubs see that our fringe players cannot be registered in the squad as all spots are filled out, we will get our pants pulled down by these clubs who will offer peanuts for our fringe players as we wouldn't be able to register them for competitions anyways.

Hi Ed's, given that sarr (cb) is now a free agent, only 21 and has some really good performance ratings; albeit in the French ligue 1, do you know of any interest from liverpool? I am not sure whether he is RCB as we desire or whether he is currently performing better than Gomez, but as you have stated we are keen to sign a new cb and with finances being so tight I see it as a perfect signing for club and player with the opportunity to play under Klopp and to play alongside (and potentially be mentored by) the best cb on the planet.

{Ed002's Note - Malang Sarr (CB/LB) has held talks with Real Betis, Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen about a move and Borussia Mönchengladbach, Barcelona, Arsenal, Fiorentina and Atalanta have all declared an interest. The player was very keen on joining RB Leipzig who held discussions and had him as an option to replace Dayot Upamecano but they can now be discounted. He is one of the economically better options identified by Barcelona who want talks with his agent and his agent wants talks with Leicester. The player wants guarantees of playing time and right now it is unclear if he can step up as a CB to play at a higher level as Nice have used him more as a LB more often than not. There is no interest from Liverpool.}

{Ed002's Note - Kristoffer Ajer (CB) Milan see Ajar as a cheaper option to their primary target but funds may not stretch as they look to sell players and buy lower priced alternatives. With other options falling by the wayside, Ajar is of interest to Leicester. Top of the list for Atletico Madrid - but only if they lose a CB - which they are trying to avoid. Previous interest of Spurs, Newcastle and Ajax has moved on. I am not aware of Liverpool making any approach for him.}
