George Sephton who is the matchday announcer at LFC has tweeted that the LFC v Sunderland game will be rescheduled for the Wednesday 26th March which is midweek before the Spurs game

So we are given a midweek game before a really important battle against our closest rivals for 4th place? That seems fair.

Agree5 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool are playing fewer games than all of the teams around them this season - so you can stop whining.}

Agreed Ed, Liverpool really could not have a better run of 11 games to the end of the season . We really have nothing to complain about .

Agree3 Disagree4

To be fair I am clutching at straws it makes little difference in the long run, if we don't make CL we'll have only ourselves to blame.

Agree0 Disagree0

There's only a couple of spaces left to reschedule this without UEFA fines; and possibly to reschedule Man City too. & City have scheduled Man U that week.

If Sunderland have a cup replay it will be that week which is why there is no announcement yet.

Hi Eds,
Is there any interest in Sam Byram of Leeds United? he's young and has been impressing in the championship? Also is there any chance that either Jay Rodrigues, Adam Lalana, Clyne or Shaw will sold by southampton?
Thanks in advance!

{Ed001's Note - not from us and unlikely, unless the offer is huge.}

Hi Edd's Cissokho's defensive work has been good of late although he could improve going forward (don't forget this is his first season in the prem) 2hd season he would be better, he is playing better then Johnson at left back and Flanagan is playing better then him at right back, may be a spell on the bench would make him think he needs to put more effort in to help the team, never thought I would say this Cissokho's playing better and should be in before him.
Do you think we will buy a left back or make his move permanent

{Ed002's Note - There has been interest in buying a left back as evidenced by the interest in Bertrand.}

Hi Eds,

Just wondering about Jan Vertongen. Came out today saying he wants to play Champions League with Spurs and although didn't admit it he certainly hinted he may leave if they don't.

I know Spurs would have to firstly lose out on the CL to us and then secondly sell to us. But I can't help but think he'd be an excellent addition. He is a very good centre half and is versatile enough to cover left back when needed. I would love to see him play for us next year.

Any chance at all of getting him if we do get CL football?

Believable9 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - I wouldn't think so.}

Good player and would be a welcome addition. However, there are definitely two problems with this. Firstly, as you say, Tottenham would be unlikely to sell to us for a reasonable price, if at all. Secondly, it would then mean our two strongest centre backs would be left sided, in Sakho and Vertonghen, which is a similar issue to this year.

Eds I posted about whether we would b looking at lescott on the summer and u referred me to the search engine but the only responses in there are when other posters have asked about him and the eds just say 'no interest' is that it? Is that because we wouldn't b interested, haven't shown any interest or you don't think he would joins as as an ex bluenose? I just think he would b a good option to replace kolo on similar wages and CL experience

Believable2 Unbelievable12

{Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest Liverpool has in Lescott as a replacement for Toure in the Summer.}

Is kolos deal tilL The summer? Lescott does also cover LB so defo an option for me

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no, summer after.}

I posted a couple of days ago that my Austrian friend (an ex coach) told me that Liverpool had been scouting Kevin Kampl and Martin Hinteregger. Following my post a website called Winner Sport wrote an article saying the same thing. Here is a quote from the site.

"Now, it can exclusively be revealed by Winner Sports that Liverpool are looking to make double swoop for Red Bull Salzburg youngsters Kevin Kampl and Martin Hinteregger in the summer as part of relentless drive to acquire talented young players from across Europe."

This source is also being used on Transfermarkt.

Ed, do you have any info regarding our interest in the 2 players?

Cheers,
Red Rum
