Ed2 read an article that said we had scouts at the marseille lyon game. Any idea who we maybe having a look at. The article suggested Tolisso of Lyon.

Nkoudou is a very promising player. I've watched him a lot this year and the guy has pace and goals in his game.

Don't think borini is that bad of a player myself. Not Liverpool quality but he can do a job for a lot of teams.

{Ed001's Note - all the players who have a contract that ends within the next 18 months are being given a chance to prove themselves. Klopp will decide who he wants and who he doesn't, those that he wants to keep will be offered new contracts over the next few months.}

Reports today that Jurgen Klopp would listen to offers for Benteke. Unbelievable that a £32 Million signing could leave 5 months after signing. Any truth in this do we think? Jurgen Klopp really doesn't seem to rate him.

I find it believable, there might be 1 or 2 clubs desperate in January wanting to alter their fortunes and willing to gamble and pay more than what we might get in summer. No idea who those clubs might be mind.

I reckon this particular article is just page filler. Benteke's our only fit striker at the moment and even if Firmino's preferred as a false 9 selling him now would be reckless. Come the summer it may change.

Benteke is completely unsuited to how we play and I don't see him staying beyond the summer. So it's far from impossible that he'll leave in January.
It's a pity because he's techincally very good, but we're not going to change to suit him and he's not going to change to suit us, so it's best he leaves before too much damage is done.

Makes sense. Klopp didn't sign him so hardly his fault we've made a bad deal on him. He isn't a bad player but chances are we're not going to build a game around him.

Sell him now, use the return to cover the difference between our bid and Donetsk's asking price for Teixeira.
If they act dodgy, and raise the price more, then take that money and immediately go purchase Lacazette from Lyon or Embolo from FC Basel (the latter, before Wolfsburg sign him) .
I know that's not what will happen, but it's what I would do.
