Just a quick one , I know ex player turned agent Bradley Orr and he seems to think that clyne plus a striker won't be the last of are business ( which indicates he's pretty confident we will get clyne ) , bacca is top strike target he said as well . What position would we be looking to add to after these potential signings ?.

Believable9 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Something can be done to get Clyne - and it is in hand. I have explained that strikers have been looked at all the way through the last few months. Why not ask him about others rather than ask me to predict what he is thinking.}

25 Jun 2015 13:57:58
Kovacic? as ed002 kindly let us know about weeks back.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 14:16:49
Redman96 I know about kovacic mate just wondering if things had changed with us being so well off in midfield and ( if all goes well ) after bringing in 7 people already

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 14:22:10
If we manage to sign Bacca, Clyne and Kovacic on top of Firmino, Milner, Ings then I'm going to lose it. makes you question what the heck we were thinking last season and who's in charge of transfers now vs. back then?

Only potential question left will be selection and formation/strategy of the coach, nowhere to hide this season!

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 14:34:54
An Enrique replacement. (If Roma go for Adriano instead, we can get Digne, although his price and salary are very high.)

A Skrtel replacement. (Bartra I hope)

14 more midfielders.

Convincing somebody gullible to give us good money for Balotelli, Enrique and Alberto.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 14:43:34
Zimbo , your not wrong there , let's hope there's enough time for them all to gel if we make that many signings that is .

25 Jun 2015 14:31:52
Cookie, thanks for the update but you have to take that on the chin from ed 002!! Ha

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 14:11:24
Ed002 I was just posting what i have heard from a person who is involved in the football world and asked your opinion , in all honesty I only asked him if there was any new news on sterling and the reason he mentioned the things from my original post is because he believes the club are spending money they expect back from the sterling sale . Sorry if you thought I am trying to get you to predict what another man is thinking . I just asked for a prediction on what other position would we be likely to strengthen if we got a right back and a striker ? .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I have explained repeatedly the positions Liverpool have been looking act - and those are the ones they have been filling. I truly hope if your chum is involved in the game it is not on the financial side - as he is dumb as a rock if he thinks the money balances out as naively as the Sterling income offsetting the purchases.}

25 Jun 2015 14:56:51
RedKev , nice one mate , kind of reply I was looking for .

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 16:03:45
any player going the other way as part of the deal eds?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No.}

25 Jun 2015 17:01:11
What player going where? Southampton? Why would they want any? Very few of our players are in demand after a season of calamitous defending and total goal-scoring failure.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 17:21:55
I'd imagine kovacic and clyne then were done. I'd very much like digne and agree with kevs point but can't see us signing anymore than them two for now

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 17:43:37
Ed002 , calling someone you don't know dumb is very nice by the way , and he was not talking about balancing the books so to speak , he was just giving his opinion on what he thinks about sterling and added that he thinks that's why we are spending or trying to spend like we are , no need for abuse just asking for an opinion , I respect what use eds do on this site an agree use all repeat your selfs a lot but isn't that what this sites about ? Peoples opinions on rumours ?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No, from what you have said he knows nothing whatsoever about the financial aspects of the game at all. Did you meet him on Twitter because what he has told you is from the school of pig ignorance.}

26 Jun 2015 18:08:50
Ed002 isn't respectful, That is all.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 00:15:20
Robiano , I agree with u ther mate

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - So is Robiano your DF friend on Twitter sharing all of this naïve bullshit with you?}

27 Jun 2015 13:49:40
Besides, your poor use of the english language would indicate that your friend has just been dreamed up during school lunchtime. I'm with Ed on this.

27 Jun 2015 16:42:51
.......abuse removed........

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Having such an appalling education is hardly an excuse for you being the wanker your father should have been.}

25 Jun 2015 11:39:24
Eds any truth in the clyne deal being done, as none of you have mentioned it? Betting has been suspended, does this really mean anything? Thanks

Believable4 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - I don't know if it is done sorry. Betting being suspended merely means that a lot of money has gone in over a short period and the bookies in question has been unable to lay the bets at another bookies to reduce their risks.}

25 Jun 2015 12:14:44
James Pearce and Tony Barret reporting that a fee has been agreed. If true, we have got yet another great signing!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 12:17:33
It's on Yahoo saying 12.5 million bid has been accepted

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 12:26:21
The Southampton daily echo are reporting Liverpool have tabled a new £12.5m bid

Nothing in terms of it being accepted

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 12:27:23
Clyne is done man. Kovacic is nearly done and Bacca is also nearly complete.

Agree1 Disagree1

25 Jun 2015 12:41:19
Several very reliable journalists close to the club are reporting Southampton have accepted the new offer. I'm quite confident it's done. Another good signing wrapped up early with little fuss.

25 Jun 2015 12:41:56
Ok thanks for the response

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 21:38:01
Thanks for nearly signing another one of our mediocre player for 5 a times what we paid for him.
This will allow us to buy a better replacement. Oops sorry we already have in Cedric Soares for less than half you have paid us for Clyne.

Thanks again Brenda

Clyne has been booked into the Raddisson SAS Hotel on Old Hall Street, within walking distance of LFCs main offices. He is due to arrive on Friday and is booked in till Monday. I expect him to have his medical over the weekend.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 10:18:34
Clyne deal complete subject to a medical! Fee is 12.5 million

25 Jun 2015 10:48:16
and where did you hear that the metro?

25 Jun 2015 11:01:08
He's right it's done now.
12.5m

Agree0 Disagree1

25 Jun 2015 11:23:31
where did u hear that

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 11:35:40
It sounds like certain people are getting sucked in by the fact that betting has been suspended, even though there is no direct correlation between the two. Remember the year when we signed Ribery after betting was suspended ? Me neither.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 12:00:20
The next John glenson

Agree0 Disagree1

25 Jun 2015 12:11:11
Maybe not signed and sealed but seems almost done - is this really Liverpool we're talking about? Milner, Ings, Firmino, Clyne before the window even opens?

Seems that someone other than last years committee/Rogers is in charge this year and I really like how things have moved decisively for far more suited players to our playing style (IMO) this time around and really filled the obvious gaps.

I'd be OK if this was all we got this window to be honest as already exceeded my expectations, but Kovacic (Defensive midfield instead of Allen) and Bacca (Striker instead of Balo) would be a bonus and really set us up for years in my view.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 12:24:56
Tony Barret and James Pearce reporting that fee agreed. They're usually pretty reliable for these kind of announcements.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 12:27:24
Glen Johnson was one of our better players for a few seasons,he just had an awful last 3.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 12:42:50
Paul Joyce also reporting it, another very reliable journalist when it comes to matters red.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 16:35:10
Not sure we need another right back, why not give the youth a chance, such as Randal or Mclaughlin? seems a waste!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 22:19:31
Because we need a quality 1st choice RB that will be better than Glenson ever was. None of the others come close, although it would be nice if Flanno could come back and give us a real option next year.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 03:54:53
Hey eds are the pako rumours true?
If yes the Imo it would be great.

Thanks and keep up the good work :-D

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - he is certainly under consideration at least. Though it would be a strange step as an assistant after he has had success in management recently. He is a Liverpool fan though, after all he was the one who talked Rafa into taking the Liverpool job initially. To be honest though, right now no one but FSG knows what is really going on and people are just guessing.}

25 Jun 2015 07:56:06
Hi Eds is Rodgers job still currently under review? Are has he been given time to turn things around?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It really isn't like that - I have spent the entire season explaining and still you just can't see it.}

25 Jun 2015 09:11:26
Ed002 has continuously said that FSG will do what is in the best interest of the club. Clearly they have not and will not say anything until they feel the need too but the silence from the club and Rodgers is very odd so we shall have to wait and see. It is like Ed001 suggests, a guessing game.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 09:22:46
so is it as you suspected and a DOF is being brought in, effectively relieving Rodgers of a lot of control ? If so, i then presume he's accepted it and agreed to work under this kind of structure ?

Wonder who made the call on these latest transfers then

All very interesting, could even speculate that Rodgers has been potted and someone is instructing under the radar. Pure conspiracy theory stuff that though, but here's hoping. I'm less skeptical of Rodgers then most on here but if it were for Klopp .

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - You are simply making this stuff up.}

25 Jun 2015 11:26:30
What has this nonsense got to do with anything? Rodgers has actually been given MORE say in the transfer dealings. I suppose aliens built the pyramids and Elvis killed JFK?

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 12:12:38
Kev, it's actually the other way round ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 10:42:43
Try and be kind ed002 the kids get a bit excited at times like this lol

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 14:15:36
What, elvis built the pyramids ?

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 15:09:32
No, silly - the aliens built JFK.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 18:26:56
Course I was making it up, that's why I said conspiracy theory stuff. But Rodgers has disappeared off the face of the planet. I remember last summer he was always commenting on players we bought. Started with lambert in very early June. A dof structure is very possible.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jun 2015 22:28:30
Well thank dog somebody has told Rodgers to shut his piehole, although I think he's only disappeared off the face of your planet, whichever one it may be that you're on. I think we would know if a DoF had been employed by LFC, unless it's the invisible guy with the radioactive superpowers again, he does get around.

24 Jun 2015 23:34:09
A few journos reporting a new 10.5m rising to 12.5m bid for Clyne gone in. Can any if the ED'S shed some light or more bs frm em again?

It's for when BR gets shafted after about round 6; we'll need a good caretaker.

25 Jun 2015 00:23:56
Heard a rumour that Roma have had a €25 million bid rejected for Bacca. Thought ye all might be interested

Believable0 Unbelievable7

25 Jun 2015 11:36:43
Thats because they want £21.8m which is 3m more than they offered

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 01:25:06
Roma have not made an official bid to Seville.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - so why has Monchi said they have then?}

26 Jun 2015 05:54:45
He hasn't. He has said no official offers have been made and mentioned the 'buy out clause' at least 4 times which was totally irrelevant to the interview and potential buyers.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he said there was an offer from Roma below the buyout clause which is what would be needed before they would sell him.}

24 Jun 2015 23:37:21
Hi eds I've heard we have accepted the 40mill for sterling for city and it will be announced at the end of this week thanks
