Ed how reliable of a site is Bleacher Report?

They're claiming that Eriksen may move to LFC.

maka {Ed001's Note - to be honest, it is no more or less reliable than any other, a lot depends on who wrote the piece.}

I've seen some real *&%#@ from Bleacher Report. Like that had all kinds of people replacing Hodgson last year but not Dalglish.

Well, i for one who always believes in optimism will take this as true. Eriksen for me is the successor to Stevie G. We get him, if i was Dalglish i would happily give away Adam, Spearing and Aqua with the blink of an eye...

Yes lets give away half the squad for 1 player....
JJ

I think the bleacher report is all written by fans like you or me, although they're probably scanned for veracity by someone. I'm not sure if they have professional sports journalists on there as well but one of my mates writes articles on there quite regularly.
While knowledgeable and articulate, he is not actually recognised in any official capacity.
Although saying that he is sitting his scouting exams and I trust his eye and grasp of the game far more than any journo.

Anyway, my point was merely that an article on the Bleacher report could very well be written by a vial of Justin Bieber's semen for all we know.

ed do we ave any intrest in dries mertens of psv, could be the next eden hazard {Ed002's Note - MOTD Fever I am afraid.}

How can someone 4 years older be "the next" someone?
Willster

He is actually quite good and was excellent last season as well when he scored about 15 goals for utrecht who are weaker. He has already notched what 11 goals this season for PSV? That is a lot for a winger

If by MOTD you mean Match of The Day, they said that Torres would be subject to a £50mill Chelsea move in the New Year way before it happened! It was in my son's MOTD Annual!

The ''next'' eden hazard....he hasnt proved himself yet

Hi eds, according to givemefootball.com we have offered 30m for Marion Gomez. Don't worry I dont think it's true either. Can you just confirm for me that that website is unreliable? Thanks! {Ed002's Note - The interest in Gomez was from the beginning of the year. It is old news being recycled.}

We were interested ages ago but he suddenly found his magic touch and was to expensive

Ed do you think we might look for another centre back in jan eg cahill/vertonghan? {Ed002's Note - Any January transfers will be driven by players leaving, injuries and any major issues identified. On the basis of that, probably not but there must remain some chance. I think the summer si more likely.}

I think we will, and should cos carra is playing very poor for last 6 games of the season,,,we need someone in january cos r defence is so poor

Centre Back is the key remaining issue with Carragher's age/form being questioned as well as Agger's health.

Unlikely to see a move in Jan.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are preparing for a £30m transfer battle for Everton's 17-year-old midfielder Ross Barkley. The fee would shatter the world record paid for a teenager, which stands at the £26.5m United gave Everton for Wayne Rooney.

Ed who is this kid? 30M for him is he that special?
I don't remember hearing about him.
money is lot for a 17 years old.
I suppose everton wont sell him to us?

Your thoughts.

Red Indian {Ed009's Note - He is a very, very good player. A fast, technical player he is a truly box to box midfielder, and can often be seen throwing in tackles one end then spanking in a pile driver the other. 30 million at his age? Excessive.}

This is just the sh*te fattening him up for Xmas. They did the same with Rodwell future England Captain , £25m ect...and they were offering him as part of a straight swap with Crouch in the summer. Watch Arsenal on this one, they have already made enquiries for the end of the season. I have a few mate from the darkside

By all accounts this lad is going to be brilliant, rumours in the summertime says united have already tried and failed with a bid in access of £20 million.... Whoever ends up with him will have a bargain, even at £30 million.... HERBIE(MUFC)

But he's only played 3 league games?!

Any chance of LFC going in with a cheeky bid ed? {Ed009's Note - I very much doubt they would sell to us with other offers on the table - and there would almost certainly be those.}

He has had like 3 games. He is impressive but nothing out of the extroardinary. More like 10 million.

Moyes prostituting his young players, when sold for mega money, won't be allowed to spend it and will moan like flukk to all and sundry. ala shrek

Moyes doesnt moan about the lack of money

30mill for a 17 year old whos played only 3 games what is football coming to. seriously and i thought 35mill was bad for carroll this is even worst

Moyes may not moan in public haha but i bet u any money behind closed doors he is crying

I would say he is worth 1 trillion pound no only kidding

£30m is excessive, but these days you have to pay what the player could potentially be worth over the time hes with your club. Like Henderson, we paid a lot for him, but its because weve got a young english midfielder with a lot of promise, and hes signed atleast until hes 25. It is nonsense, but as long as we pay to buy a shirt, go to the game, pay for the sky subscription then we are essentially bankrolling a lot of this movement.
I dont complain because i do all of the above, anyone who wants go get on a soapbox needs to realise they are part of the financial backing for these players.

Anfield Andy

Sn't it funny how they r all now interseted in barkley but not rodwell

Just what I was thinking. Rodwell had a £20odd million tag on him about four years ago... but then everyone realised he was just a good player with promise.

My son (who is a liverpool fan) like me has had trials at Preston, Everton and Wigan and at everyone of these trials which was 2 years ago when Barkley was 15 every coach i spoke to at Wigan, Preston and especially everton had heard about him and said he had more potential than Stevie G and Wayne Rooney, apparently clubs like Man united have been told about him years ago, its all potential and 30 million these days are pennies if a club like man united are going to invest him for the future. He will improve at a better club.

Yeah right, if he is worth 30M jus coz of age and potential, Mario Goetze is worth 70M basing on potential and Mbaye Niang who is 1 year younger is worth 65M.
Everton dont have money and have come up with a devious scheme of hyping up players. Dont get fooled by Rodwell as well. He as well is crap, he is a hot-cold type of player, plays a good game in one and then is even lower than awful in the other. If there is one teenage player who i think is well worth big money, it is Jack Wilshere....
I know Wilshere like Carroll has off-field and temper issues but hey, havent u guys seen that of late Carroll doesnt actually fuss up and argue over decisions which have gone against him??. That he has manned up??.
LFC, get in there for Wilshere and put the final nail in the coffin which sees Arsenal relegated!!...

Have to disagree with you there mate. Ive only saw this Barkley kid once or twice but for his age, his technique and decision making is frightning, just because he is a blue you don't have to slag him off, he's a scouser and english and 17 ! The lad is quality ! He wont be at everton in 2 years time, the problem with Rodwell is that he has been injured a lot and everton are useless and using him in the wrong positions.

To thee original poster = what planet r on on? u have 'not heard of ross barkley'??? r u mad! u obviously dont even pay attention to or watch football whatsoever!
