Hi eds, just heard West Ham have bid 2 million for Cole

Lewis

Ha ha ha ha ha! Brilliant! Best thing I've heard in ages

You mean has just said it on Twitter

MR EM

Who would they have submitted that to at this time on a Sunday evening before a holiday....?

I heard Rodgers has taken monday off to drive him there

That's a great news if it is true.

We'll give them 2.5 to take hime..

I can't see anyone paying us anything for him. Pretty sure we'd gladly let him go on a free to save ~5M in wages this year.

I'll crawl there carrying him on my back for free let alone for 2M!! Please let this be true!!!

We won't get any money for him! Keep your £2 million and put it towards his wages!

LloydyRed4Life

If true could be good for all parties , the lad has had some miserable luck with us hope he gets some games .

Hope this is true, would be best news!!

If he go's he will go on a free and we will be glad to get him off the wage bill, no one is going to pay 2 million for him you fool, but wherever he go's i wish him well.

I'd let him go for 5m

I'll pay Rodger's petrol money !!

I would just let him go, stuff the money just go please anywhere will do just get off the payroll you bigheaded overated sicknote!

Liverpool and arsenal are watchin Darren bent situation at villa certain finisher we need

Headless chicken is what we dont need, what a joke. hope downing goes back there though

Arsenal can have him

lfc89

So where selling carroll who is gonnna end up being better and going after bent who barely fits our style of play? Bravo Genius

Ahh yes! The unavoidable 'Liverpool sign Bent' rumours rears its head once again! Singred

I hope they just keep watching!! Let Arsenal have him

Mmmm why would villa sell there only out & out goal scorer without a replacement .

I can tell them the Darren Bent situation right now. He's crap. Why even bother reporting this rubbish?

MarkB

You lot need too get your heads out your arses,Bent may not be best player in world but you paid 35 million for a long haired donkey from Newcastle,who if he played every game till he retired would still not score as many as Bent. Bent is just what you lot need someone to finish,which you have not had for a long time Ipswich crap team scored loads Charlton best team in the world scored millions,Spurs played on the bench,still scored more than Defoe,Sunderland average team loads now Villa who are really crap,still up ther with the best.Go get him and turn those draws into wins and get back in Champions League where you belong.

Liverpool are thinking about Schalke 04 29 year old forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

transfer market web

No the're not...

Geniune - I work with his Uncle and he says he isn't comong to LFC!

I really wish that this is true, I've been wanting us to sign him since I saw him playing for Heerenveen. I just can't see it happening :-( stranger things have happened though and I would love him to play for us!

Got some inside info to share.Dont ask how i know,as i cant put my source at risk .pacheco is on his way back to spain,joe cole could be on his way back to west ham if he takes a pay cut.jay spearing move to bolton will be wrapped up in the next day or two.Dempsey deal will be done by wednesday,and expect a striker to sign.we have more targets than just sturridge,so expect a shock name to emerge!.

Tell us something we don't know !

Is your source twitter?

Is your source the editors from this site? Because they've already told us this thanks

Could your source be off twitter by any chance?

Ian the red

I've heard that Theo Wallcott is very interested in a move...

Daniel Narciso

Just read on News Now that LFC will ev. buy JK Huntelaar, but only if they sell Andy Carroll first.

So you recycle material on here and try to pass it off as a legit inside from a source you cant name as it will be somehow put at risk? Nice one bro.
DAni

Thanks for the info matey

hoping the striker is someone good

it's the one weak link we have now

borini and carroll not up to it

"Borini not up to it?"

You've worked that out over 2/3 competitive matches

SamuiLFC {Ed052's Note - He played well in the last two games}

Its amazing that people post anything at all on this site considering some of the responses they get. just naysay everything and try to look clever. why are you even on here if youre gonna scoff at every rumour?

How can the last poster say that Borini is not up to it! Have you seen yesterday's match at all or are you just shooting your mouth off like some other so called LFC supporters. Borini is a class act (I used to watch him with Roma every week) and he never stops chasing the ball and harassing opposition defenders. He is just like Kuyt but a much better finisher. Eds, I have been an avid Liverpool supporter from Malta for the last 35 years who does not miss a single match on tv. I love this site and keep up the good job

To the last post, Borini looked sharp yesterday, good movement, worked hard and nearly got his goal against one of the best defences in the Premier league! Not seen a centre forward work so hard for LFC since Rushie! Give him a break

Borini will be fine give him a chance great movement and works hard. U clearly got this info from on twitter he's said exactly the same

Guys, stop asking him if his source is Twitter. He clearly said, that it would be risky for his source if he reveals it's name.

You don't want to put Twitter at risk, do you?

Whats wrong with pacheco?

"borini and carroll not up to it" ... after two games?? What a total person. Borini has done very well and has only just arrived at the club for goodness sakes! Some so called Liverpool fans are so stupid it's beyond belief.

Borini had an 86% pass accuracy rate yesterday! He's a clever footballer in the area hopefully he finds the target too

Thanks for nothing

Hey Eds. Will appreciate if you can clarify this. During the search for a Liverpool Manager a couple of months back I remember reading somewhere that the owners had advisors/consultants helping them with the selection. Any idea who these were? One name I came across was David Dein. Was this true? Who were the others. Will appreciate if you can post this with a reply. Cheers. {Ed001's Note - I believe so, yes, though there has been no official confirmation of that.}

And michael laudrop,mark

If it is true about David Dein then surely he will earn every Liverpool fan's respect when BR delivers. Just as Michael Broughton has after saving us from the brink.. {Ed002's Note - Martin.}

Jermain Defoe and Clint Dempsey are going to sign for Liverpool before friday, Dempsey at a reduced fee of 5million due to his contract situation and refusal to play for fulham, Defoe is surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane, as soon as Tottenham wrap a deal for a striker, whoever it may be, it's thought that it could be agreed in the region of 6-9 million pounds, both proven premier league goalscorers. Charlie Adam, Andy Carroll and Jay Spearing will all leave to Stoke, Bolton, and Newcastle.

There is no way Defoe will happen because:
(1) AVB rates him
(2) Spurs do not have much cover in the striker front
(3) AVB stated that Spurs would not sign any more striker (I agree not sure one can believe him)
(4) BR and FSG would not sign 2 stikers with close to 60 years old between them two...

Dempsey = Yes
Defoe - No

The Dempsey thing is likely but I'll believe Defoe when I see him sign.Spearing and Adam might leave but since Newcastle's best offer for Carroll was £12 million they'll have to improve it a hell of lot before we sell.

The Plank

Dempsey's the only one i can see coming in, any others will depend on Carroll leaving or anyone else we can get money for.

Dempsey having medical at sunderland tomorrow. He will not be signing for liverpool.

Carroll to Bolton and Spearing to Newcastle? LOL :P

I Bloody hope so

How is he surplus? They have 2 strikers

Dempey I would say at this stage is 3/1 to sign. Defoe, very outside chance as he is rated by AVB

Hi Eds, with Modric to RM nearly done is there any chance Spurs will look at Adam? I seem to remember they were very interested when he was at Blackpool. I know you have stated before about him not wanting to go to London but Spurs is a very different proposition to Fulham.

Reelum {Ed001's Note - not when you don't want to move to London they aren't! They have other players they are targeting, I very much doubt they have any interest in Adam any more.}

Just imagine Bale's reaction

Excellent job eds, as always.
just wondered whether you had any idea who the 1 or 2 players are that BR is still wanting to bring in? in your opinion do you think they will be relatively unknown players or established ones? In addition will they be loans or buys? I've also read that our ins will be determined by our outs, if so would it be right to assume that some players are very close to leaving?

I look forward to your opinion.
Please post in rumours (it's the only one I read)
Thanks very much..

Scott in Barnsley
P.s. great performance today {Ed001's Note - I still expect Dempsey, no idea who the other/s could be off the top of my head.}

Today rodgers claims we are short and we need depth to help other players out so according to this statement it does not mean we have to sell to buy but i can still see adam and caroll and maybe downing gone by friday. but i suspect signings before we sell

I don't suppose you know anything of Sunderland's interest in Dempsey Ed? It's be an odd move perhaps but the Mackems are starting to get quite convinced he's joining them? Cheers

DP {Ed001's Note - I have heard nothing of that and it seems unlikely as he wants to play in European competitions.}

We need a few and also get rid of a few

I think Dempsey would be a great addition to the squad...but I don't believe he's the answer to our goal scoring problems. I agree that Defoe would be a great buy, he scores goals and I'm guessing would be in our price range and would more than likely agree to the move if he's told he'll get games.

I thought Sterling and Allen were brilliant today!

Liverpool to announce Sturridge deal after match he will be on view in the crowd.

And what your source you should also left you name so if does happen u get the credit but if it doesnt happen we can slaughter you !
Jake

Hope this is true but unlikely.

I do think he'd be a quality signing, if he is played at head of a front three which is his favourite position and he never got to play there for Chelsea due to drogba

Andy

Where you got your info

I am bewildered to why any Liverpool fan would want Sturridge. He is selfish, greedy and average at best. He would also command a salary of around £100k a week as his current Chelsea deal is at £80k a week.

Disney!

Haha, dead on mate!

NB Red

All the best strikers are greedy mate.. judge a player by his technical ability and mental ability and i believe sturridge have both..

Can't say I've seen him

Going once .......

Yeah Good Penalty!

Me too i was watching the match from start to finish and did not see one peep of sturrige

Did anyone see him !! i didn`t

Waiting and waiting....

Harrikrishna

Wot a load of rubbish!

Would of thought if this would true there would be a announcement by now.

Dont think i've seen him...smelt of bull sh*t from a mile away..make that 1000 miles!!

Dempsey yes. Sturridge No

Don't think we should get Sturridge.

Couldn't see him anywhere

Awkward...

LFCHero ;)!

Going twice..

no hang on. you are talking bs

Used only once as a sub in last 3 chelsea games.Will definitely improve the team if we get him

Still waiting

That went well

Still watching it online and no sighting as of yet

It's Monday morning and I'm still sat in the cop waiting - I'm friggin freezing!!

What's happening with Cole? Has any teams shown any interest in him?

FowlerGod. {Ed002's Note - There is one side who may be interested but for now it looks like he could be staying.}

Southampton were interested at one point i believe.

I think Cole needs some lessons from Sterling.

Hi eds please post this.i have just heard from my main source Sturridge bid accepted 13 mil. Medical over next few days. What do you think of this I'm not too happy to be honest but I'll be behind all the players all season.
Ynwa

We need to sell to buy now, the only way of this happening is the sale of Carroll...

He knows where the goal is

We could do worse, he's young, he's quick, he can drop back to pick up the ball and he plays on the floor

carroll just won't suit rodgers system...he doesn't play wingers and crosses

As much as I'd like this to be true, sadly I doubt it.

JAnder.

I love the way people talk about their "sources". You might be the exception mate, but in most cases it is better spelt "sauce".

If Sturridge is brought in i'll be gutted, he's over rated, he's only got a pish step over and an unconvincing side shuffle.

He's only ever done well at Bolton. He's only scored 22 goals in 83 games for Chelsea.

Stick with Carroll and assimilate his ability into the team.

I agree with sticking with Carroll. He is getting better and better each day. It's a waste to sell him now.

Why would chelsea sale sturridge because they would only have 1 striker left? torres.

Give Carroll a chance.. I think the lad is prepared to work hard to earn his chance.. With Lucas going off injured cabnt wait to see the new boy Surin (?) showing what he has,,

So Who's this new guy Surin you cant wait to see?? Carroll had his chance its time to move on and It could be seen in yesterdays style of play why rodgers doesn't want him in his plans!

Ok I'm just gonna come out n ask this stupid question. Eds is there any chance Huntelaar will come in if Carroll is sold this week? Gr8 site btw... {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest in him from Liverpool right now.}

What would be the point in selling Carroll to fund a deal for a player who is quite similar in style and is slower over 10 yards.

Makes no sense. Jan Klass Huntelaar isn't getting any younger.

I wud like to see Carroll stay. If he goes we are wel short on centre forwards and don't believe we would have time to bring in anyone decent. Give the big man a chance ynwa

Huntelaar is no better than Andy carroll.
Carroll was injured when he came to us and has had to get himself fit and also adapt to our style of play. Personally I would keep him and give him a chance its not his fault we over paid for him and he hasnt really had a fair or injury free run. If at the end of this season he hasnt performed or progressed then cut our losses and move on. We as a club need a proven 20+ goal scorer and maybe this will be the catalyst for the rest of the squad to play more freely??

I think Carroll can be a superstar for us, it just needs time and maybe some compromise from Rodgers.

I for one would be gutted to see Sturridge arrive and Carroll leave. Carroll is going to be sensational when used week in and week out in tactics he's used to with players he's familiar with.

9 new players last season and Carroll took some time to gel, as did 6 of the 9 who were regular starters last season. Context is king, Carroll didn't score enough, if Rodgers was the man then he'd get Carroll firing on all cylinders. Surpassing Danny Graham's tally last season.

Ollieston.

I would love him at lfc. he would be a perfect strike partner for all our strikers, or play out wide, or in attacking mid position. he could also pass some footy knowledge to the younger generation but unfortunately i think BR wont buy above the 26yrs age, only dempsey is an exception due to goals, attacking play style and most of all, the owners want him!

ed
who do u reckon will leave in ur opinion?
bhav {Ed002's Note - Adam, perhaps Spearing, Carroll if a buyer can be found.}

Do you believe the Agger situation has died? {Ed002's Note - It is not worth the grief to mention it.}

I believe City will return with a £20+ million pound bid for Agger as they are struggling to get bids accepted for CB's.

I heard spearing agreed a deal with nots forest for about 3 million?

Hi eds

Just wondering if there is any recent news on Spearing, Downing and Adam leaving?

Cheers

Ray {Ed002's Note - There is nothing new this morning. There is interest in Spearing from Bolton. Adam will leave, perhaps to Stoke, we will see.}

Do you know if Bolton interested in a loan deal or a permanent deal, ed? Thanks in advance for any answer {Ed002's Note - They will prefer a loan I suspect.}

I always thought Downing was staying. The only ones told they can leave are Adam, Spearing, Cole and Carroll.

If Stoke get Spurs' Huddlestone on loan i doubt Adam will be moving there, i think he'd do great at Stoke though.

I still think Liverpool could do very well instead of selling for peanuts being patient by utilising the loan system in the opposition direction that we have so far. By putting a few players on loan at Villa, Norwich or Wigan. Lambert has openly admitted he is finding the transfer market extremely hard to work in.

Henderson/Shelvey/Adam anyone of them would get into the Villa or Norwich and Wigan squads, it would keep the players who might not get much of a look in, competitive, playing against the same opposition as us and regularly and would maintain the players transfer value, whilst keeping them in the shop window until January or the end of the season.

Maybe i'm beautifully naive, but i think it's a very smart move which in 6 or 12 months might just pay off.

Ollieston

I agree with what Ollieston posted. But I'm sure it isn't as simple as that with players refusing loan moves and wanting to fight for places etc. Spearing would benefit from a loan move, as would Adam and Carroll if no buyers can be found. The only thing I would add would be another striker would need to be found if Carroll was loaned out, maybe It's to late in the transfer period for this to happen but you never know.

Captain Jack
