hi ed and fellow red.can u please tell which club has shown interest in zakarai bakkali, and do u think he will move in coming transfer window.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - PSVs Zakaria Bakkali has attracted attention from Benfica, Celtic, Manchester United, Chelsea, Zwolle, Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Stoke, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, Norwich and Augsburg in the past. I spoke with a "specialist" in the Netherlands leagues last summer and he said the player is light years away from first team football in the EPL and any move this past summer would have potentially been a dent in his career - although Chelsea did offer to send him to Vitesse Arnhem on loan. A lot of the "bigger" clubs that were interested have seemingly stepped back. A move to Celtic or Zwolle would probably be best for the kid but I am not so sure he sees it that way - Benfica may be an option. Very significant baggage.}

Ed001

few reports this morning that we have made advances towards Benteke. Is this premature with them guessing or any facts that you no of or have developed?

Believable1 Unbelievable5

{Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware there is nothing in it right now.}

Do you see him as a target ed?

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - I hope not, he would not suit us at all. He needs the ball to go long and direct to be effective. It would just prove that our transfer system is absolutely hopeless if we sign him.}

Glad you said that Devi thought I was the only one who thought that.

The lad scores goals for both club and country and would reslly help Origi settle in nicely both being Belgian. Good buy considering we need options up front.

@dwarfonaboat, I doubt Origi would have met him all that much. Mignolet is there if you wanted to look at it that way.

I think it would be a poor signing. He's very hit and miss and his style does not suit us at all.

Ed's, I am reacting to some of the papers I know. However Rodgers has cleared out the leaders for whatever reason and there is history there so I ask do you believe Skertl will be a Pool player next year and is there genuine interest there in him from else where

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - I have no real idea what you mean about clearing out "leaders". I am not aware of any enquiries being made of Skrtel recently but if he were to refuse an extension and if Liverpool were willing to let him go, Inter, Turkey and Russia may provide options for him.}

personally I feel leaders such as Stevie, agger, reina, Carra didn't leave on their own terms. He's had falling outs with lucas, skertl & hendo. in my opinion the only other with leadership qualities is Kolo and sure he ain't worth falling out with. I guess only time will tell.

Ed002- I was looking back at you mention Jese could be considered. Do we hold an interest and do other teams also hold an interest in him? I remember in his breakthrough season he looked a fantastic prospect and he has done okay in patches in his return still young as well

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Jese Rodriguez is again going to seek assurances about playing time that I am not so sure Real Madrid will agree to. On the basis of this he has said he may be forced to leave the club. Completely recovered from his crutiate injury Lazio, Inter, Milan and Bayer Leverkusen have made clear their interest in signing the player and Aston Villa, Napoli, Malaga, West Ham United and Everton have all shown an interest in taking him on loan - which may be more palatable to Real Madrid as they are moving in to a potentially difficult period regarding transfers (with a possible ban looming). Interest from Chelsea is dependent upon what happens elsewhere with interest in players. Chelsea and Real Madrid have had a number of meetings over Varane but Real Madrid have made an approach to an agent of a Chelsea player and there may be discussions over him soon. But no bid from Chelsea at this time. Napoli's interest will likely leave with the manager in the summer.}

Cheers Ed, I think he would be a good replacement for Sterling if he's to go. Quick always seemed a decent finisher and can play anywhere across the front line.
