Seriously people. STOP with the ''I can assure you'' that we are not signing such and such and we will be signing certain people you do not have sources, most people on here seem to read teh paper or the transfer part on liverpool website. ignore goal.com and caught offside and any other s* te. The only rumours i belive on this site is Eden Hazard as it was posted in the Liverpool Echo ealier this week, Half the people on here who say were signing all these quality players arnt even from liverpool so kick it in the head and stop chatting s* t Suppose this will not get posted though as it is not a rumour and a lie but it is 100% truth

- -Many good players around who can't get into the first team. That doesn't always mean he is bad. Look at Adam Johnson- he can't make City's first eleven, Shay Given has the same problem. Karim Benzema in Madrid, I bet you also thought Van der Vaart wasnt good enough. There are many players. even Pacheco in our own team who are better than the regulars but still can't make the team, mainly because of the managers.

Right, and that clause goes something like -
"The club (Man City) are obliged to sell the player (Johnson) to Liverpool FC if the player believes he has a better chance of playing more frequently, and if the player decides that red goes better with his boot colour on any given day. Man Citeh will not sell or swap A.Johnson with us. Bentley can't even get in the Spurs team so why would we get him. I would prefer Ola Toivonen to Gomez. He would be a more viable financial target for a similar player.

I don't think it will happen either. Hodgson isn't in full control of transfers anymore and the transfers are decided by a 3 man committee (or is it 4?). Anyway, I don't think at £10m, its a sensible investment therefore I can't see Camolli or NESV wanting it to happen, and that's minue his wages.
Pacheco is yet to prove himself to me personally, but it would be more rewarding to give him a chance in the first-team instead of signing anyone. And we also have David N'Gog who has played well recently.

DISGRACEFUL TREATMENT OF PACHECO.
Roy Hodgson has dismissed press speculation about Daniel Pacheco by insisting the Spaniard has a long-term future at the club.
The 19-year-old has featured five times so far this season, adding to the seven appearances he tallied in his first three years at Anfield.
He has not played since our League Cup exit to Northampton at the end of September but could make a comeback in the Europa League against Steaua Bucharest next Thursday following a superb goal for the reserves versus Everton in midweek.
Responding to newspaper stories suggesting Pacheco could be sold in January, Hodgson said: "He's been doing quite well. He had a little down period which I suppose coincided with the unfortunate Northampton game, when every one of the young players was thrown in together.
"He stuck at his task and in training he's been doing very well. In the last couple of reserve games he's played very well too. It's nice to know he's still very much a part of the Liverpool future.
"He's unlucky in the position he plays, just behind the striker or in a wide role. That's probably where we have most competition at the club right now. For a young player it's not easy to knock the likes of Joe Cole, Dirk Kuyt and Maxi Rodriguez off their perch.
"Having said that, we still believe in him. We think he's a good player and he's got a very bright future.
"Of course there'll be lots of other clubs out there who want to take him but if he really wants to be at the top level he might be well advised to keep learning his trade with these sorts of people around him, rather than to become a bigger fish at a smaller club.
"I'm sure he'll be in the squad for the Europa League next week. I can't guarantee he will start but that's certainly not beyond the bounds of possibility because he has done well enough recently to force his way back to our attention." {ed's note - am I missing something? Only I seem to remember Roy playing Meireles wide right because we had no one else to play there.}

Jarvis would cost double £5m although he isn't worth it. Why would we pay £7m for Elmander when he has months left on his contract? Lee C.Young has signed a new deal, so would cost more than £8m. And Roma wouldn't sell De Rossi for as little as £20m.
Also, why sell Merieles? He's a good player when played in position. Jovanovic won't get anywhere near £6m. Maxi came for peanuts, is nearly 30, and has been poor. We won't get £5m for him.

That is not true. Rafa was interested in him. Liverpool as a club were not. If Rafa had have had the money he would have taken him. It was decisions such as this that started Rafa on his quest to be in charge of all transfers. He was sick of being stopped from going after players he wanted and made to have players he didn't want (ie Keane)

People please,
The number of names being linked with Liverpool FC is ridiculous. If a big name is to make the switch to Anfield in January, it will be one that has been kept relatively quiet and it will be one that will correspond to the criteria put forth by NESV right after the takeover. These people are not emotional in their decision making, they think long term and can be aggressive when required. Just look at how they bought the club. So forget mediocre players such as Konchesky or Poulsen coming to Anfield. Roy had more power in July than he has now and that is not necessarily a bad thing. I value the man's experience, but absolute power at this level can cripple any serious organisation. Hicks and Gillette (sorry) bought Torres, and I expect NESV to bring someone in with the same profile Torres had prior to joining Liverpool. If Fernando left today, we would not lose money on the transaction and that will be the NESV way: make profit on every dollar spent. However, the deals will not be discussed with your mate who dry cleans Roy's shirts, the dude who changes the oil in Stevie's car or the guy who drove Jamie's mum to the airport. I predict one or several deals to strenghten the squad will happen in January and during the summer. NESV will make an early impact, let the squad settle and then work on the stadium. I'm dying to read you on this Mr. Ed.

Adam Johnsons agent did call to see Rafa before getting told he wasn't what the club were looking for. Liverpool and Middlesboro are the only clubs he's ever wanted to play for. Middlesboro dropped down and couldn't hold onto him, Adam tried to get into Liverpool to be told to sod off DESPITE offering to play on the same wage he was on at Middlesboro and he personally didn't want any signing on fee. So he had no choice City or Utd. He choose City as he hates Utd with a passion. But, after a barney with Mancini he'll never play with the passion for City and wants to leave in search of first team footie. He gets on really well with Stevie G who has apparently been onto him to come to Liverpool but stubbornly he's said he won't go begging again - he did that once.
Spoke to his family last weekend and they said City were gonna offer him a significant pay rise to stay but Mancini knew nothing about it and said he wouldn't consider him for selection in the premier league. Sounds to me like City are making decisions the manager has no knowledge of. Adam reckons the boss is on limited time.

Roy Hodgson today dismissed any suggestion that midfielder Alberto Aquilani could return from his season-long loan at Juventus in January.
The boss was asked by journalists at his pre-match press conference to respond to speculation in this morning's media.
Aquilani has been in good form back in his native Italy, but Hodgson's reply was unequivocal.
He said: "No, I don't think there is any chance of doing that. The loan spell is quite clear.
"He's loaned out until the end of the season, so we won't be able to bring him back until the end of the season."

Emmanuelson (sp) looked lost against Real Madrid both offensivly and defensivly. He was well out of his depths.

The ruling is not based on a calendar year but a season. To my knowledge (though i'll gladly stand corrected if anyone can provide proof one way or the other) neither played for their prior teams this season before making their transfers, thus they can leave for any club in January, not just those they came from. {ed's note - correct mate, they can go anywhere.}

That's not true actually. Rafa went after all three Johnsons but was not supported by the hierarchy in his persuit and only ended up with Glen.

Rumour has it (Daily Mail. . I know) that Roma are looking to sign Dirk Kuyt in January. They were put off in the summer by a prohibitive price of £20m but are apparently willing to offer Mexes in exchange. Although I rate Mexes, I think we'd need at least £12m to go with that deal due to Mexes' contract running out in the summer. The rumour also states that we'd prefer Vucinic in the deal but Roma aren't keen to swap him. Reckon if we could get Mexes and £10m+ it wouldn't be too bad a deal, but not really sure we need a CB if we hold onto Agger. Same site also says Villa are looking to put off bidders for Young by asking for £80m. Ridiculous. Not very good player anyway. Just some rumours. . I'd like to know what everyone thinks.

Probably because Lyon tried their normal trick of snapping up the decent players in France early and then selling them on for a massive fee

Jovanovic is definately gone in Jan. He has been informed he has no future at the club. Definately one team in for him for a small amount of money and a young player. Not sure which team it is but it's in Europe.

Especially when he's warming the bench earnings thousands and thousands of pounds a week. NESV are trying to trim wage bill so expect more big earners (who are fringe players) to leave i.e Babbel.

and gervinho and rami are not good enough for lfc to be back where we belong. Dont think well get lukaku atletico madrid have put in 15 million bid.I have also heard that sakho from psg has been scouted heavily my source believes he is back up if agger leaves. MY soursce has also said not to expect any serious movement in january so don't get your hopes up lads.

The lad talking about hammill is right, Adam is from by mine and still comes back when he can, he's not coming back to Liverpool, Wigan and Newcastle have had a sniff of him. Liverpool treated him like s* t, although he's a big red, I'd be very surprised if he plays in a Liverpool shirt again. Although the people who treated him badly have now left! Personally I'd love to see him back!

Just to put an end to this rumour. My missus in the same group in uni with adam hammil's girlfriend (ashleigh) and after hearing that were supposedly interested in him I ask my missus to find out for me. His girlfriend sed there is no truth in that he's goin to liverpool but there he has been scouted by prem team once and haven't been in contact since. Also was weren't treated the best while he was at us.
