just curious, what are the chances of Sahin being signed long term?

Man i wish he signs for us permanently, he is such a player

Believe me, the chances are there. Especially after Modric's arrival at Real Madrid coupled with the fact that should Coentrao not get his favoured Left Back role, he will slot in as a defensive midfielder with Alonso who is a guaranteed starter. IF Sahin was to think clearly then he will force his move to us and make it permanent. Mourinho has no issues with losing Sahin. Long story short, its all upto Sahin after the end of the season. Mourinho just loaned him to us to give him playing time...

I agree with 2nd poster, i think the decision will be up to Sahin, if we do well this season, and get to stay in europe, i do not see why not, Sahin is adapted to this style of play, once he is fully fit, ull see what we're getting in a player of Sahins calibre.

So far he seems to be impressed with the club. if results are good i think and hope he will want a permanent move. it was a tremendous low risk summer move to do the loan

58.84% chance

b*******!

I really hop the David villa rumour is true. But he isn't out of favour.

Here we go again, bloody groundhog day...

Why would the owners pay 6 million for david villa? He is old and on 150K + a week.

Have you forgotten that they wouldn't pay that for Clint Dempsey?

Walcott has commented on his future himself 2 days ago. expect him to stay at arsenal.

Huws

^
David Villa is better than Dempsey by far but he will be remaining at the Nou Camp.

not going to happen, not now not ever.

Would love to see David Villa in a red shirt, even if it's only for a short while on loan.

"Theo walcott will also sign for his chidlhood favourite team,for around 5-6m...."

So who is Walcott signing for then?

I personally wouldn't hold your breath over Walcott joining us.
I think arsenal will provide reassurances to Walcott that he'll get his chance up front...like they have before..he'll commit to them and then he will continue to be used only out wide.

Kez

Oh how cynical

But he wants more money, the striker thing is 2nd factor I guarantee. If Arsenal said he's play as a winger, and offered 120k, he would sign in a heartbeat.

They're offering about 70k, if we offer 80-85k a week (same as G.Johnson his mate), as said he would defo start up front with Suarez either side of him... that would be tempting, the money speaks.

Is he worth it? Not sure, though we are pretty desperate for goals, so in that context I'd offer that.
RC

Walcott's not stupid. He knows that once a contract is signed those "reassurances" aren't worth a thing.

He's engineering a way out. He knows Arsenal won't make any reassurances. He's telling the rest of the clubs he wants to play up front...perhaps because he knows that LFC are desperate for a goalscorer and wants BR to see him as such? Of course, an extra £40k would change all of this.

Ed, are these rumours all over the internet of Rodgers desperately wanting Isco and walcott in Jan are true ?
If that means selling downing,cole then so be it to raise the cash..if we want to have decent cup runs and europa we need to bring in 2-3 first 11 players with the squad looking so so thin.. {Ed002's Note - There was apparently interest in Walcott over the summer. I really think that you should not hold your breath over Isco.}

Walcott yes Isco no

Walcott no Isco yes

ED, did Agger sign a new deal in the summer? {Ed001's Note - I have been trying to find out, because I honestly can't remember him doing so. I can't find anything about him signing a new contract, his contract only runs until 2014, so I must just not be able to remember it happening because it didn't. I am sure he will if one is offered, he wants to stay.}

I did read somewhere a couple of days ago that the negotiations are ongoing with a contract worth £15M to Agger and a likelihood that he will sign.
Dutchmal

I recall reading a few weeks ago that contract talks with Agger are on the agenda. Apparently Agger wants to stay if contract can be agreed.
