ED001 is it again being reported that we will try and sign Drogba as the chinese season ends next week is this true or have you heard anything about it? {Ed001's Note - I haven't heard anything about that, I really can't see any chance at all we would be able to pay his wages.}

I Heard he will train with Chelsea in November and December as the Chinese league finishes and he wants to keep fit for the African Nations Cup in January

The reports of Liverpool's interest in Palermo midfielder Josip Ilicic continue to gather pace with a £5m offer on the table.

It has been rumoured for several weeks that Liverpool are tracking the Slovenian international and British media stepped up a gear today.

There are suggestions that the Reds are prepared to pay £5m for the creative midfielder, although they face competition in Serie A from Roma and Inter.

The 24-year-old has been in Sicily since 2010 when he made the move from Maribor.

---------------

Eds is this true as i thought he would command a fee of around £10m ...

BigD {Ed001's Note - I don't know mate sorry, I know we are interested, but I know nothing of any offer.}

Ok thanks ed do you see us keeping Nuri Sahin at the end of the season as Jose has said he mite be looking to sell, we already payed them£4m fore the loan so surely a fee of around £12 would secure the permanent transfer if the player himself wanted to stay..

BigD {Ed002's Note - The £4M was the loan fee. Miguel Pardeza quatoted a sale of Sahin at an unrealistic price (to AC Milan). It is way to early to say what will happen.}

hi eds, is it true we will be making an offer to Ajax in January for Christian Eriksen.cheers. Rich red for life. {Ed001's Note - I don't see it happening, they have knocked us back in the past and he has not shown any interest in joining us.}

Hi ed,
When did they knock us back in the past? What about his recent comments about being flattered to be linked with such a big club like liverpool.

Thanks. {Ed001's Note - when we bought Suarez, one of the issues holding up the deal was trying to get Eriksen included.}

Not sure that it will happen but I have a very good friend (player)at tottenham who informs me that jan vertonghan is on the Phone about 3 times a week trying to convince the supposed spurs fan to join him in london? Its only what rf tells me!

Suarez & Eriksen are mates. If we got Huntelaar, Eriksen would love to come.

But his situation has changed..

he is on the fence whether to sign a new deal or not and if not then Ajax will sell asap to get the most profit they can.

i agree in the past he flat out shunned the idea of playing for liverpool but recently he was asked about the interest and said

"It is great that such big clubs are interested. It is very special for me but I am not contemplating various transfer scenarios in any way at the moment.

We don't really know right now. It all depends on how the season unfolds"

yeah he did say that he is looking to finish the season with Ajax but he didn't say anything to harm a potential move to liverpool.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and AC Milan have shown some level of interest in Eriksen in the past year or so. He has already rejected both Manchester City and Chelsea but AC Milan remain the most interested club. The Milan Press Office were convinced of interest from Manchester United and they have let it be known that they expected a bid to be made by for Eriksen who remains adament that he will stay in Amsterdam for18 more months before moving to Spain. Expect AC Milan and Roma to press if a bid is made by Manchester United.}

That's never gonna happen, he has the big clubs in Europe sniffing around him who can offer more wages and Champions League football. Get real man.

Agger Is there to, I'm sure agger and Eric sen are good mates

Hi eds, do we have any intrest in Christian Ericssen or logic remy?

Joeyk {Ed001's Note - we did in the past, we tried to buy him at the same time as Suarez, not sure if we are still interested now though. Not had interest in Remy since Hodgson got the bullet, as far as I am aware.}

Really ed? That would of been a coup, Suarez and erikssen!

Do u expect us to sign a big name forward in this window?

Joeyk {Ed001's Note - no.}

In my view we should have gotten remy when hodgson was here him and suarez would have been good together.

and at that time he was only worth 7m

I realise this won't sit well.But is it possible we might sell Pepe Reina in the next Summer transfer window? I think he's become complacent,he's making a LOT of errors in judgement and catching etc. He's had it too comfortable for me over the past 2-3 years and has stopped wanting to improve. I think liverpool could still cash in on him. Brad has looked solid we also have Doni and Gulacsi. I imagine pepe's on a much bigger wage than these. A transfer of pepe would free up some cash or improve the books.

Doni and Gulasci ha. Reina is brilliant he is just going through a tough time

Alternatively brads form could be the kick up the ass reina needs

Cudge

Hey buddy I agree pepe as good as he was has been living an easy life if we could and I know it sounds rubbish3 but cash in on him and go for one of the German keepers

Manuel Neuer
Ron-Robert Zieler
Marc-André ter Stegen

all of them would in very well with our team and work well with John Achterberg being Dutch he'll know how the Germans are trained as the German are coached in a different way to British keepers

Mikey

What neuer he isn't going to leave Munich is he. As much as I'd love him at Liverpool. Isn't Stegan Danish

Cashing in on players isn't that hard, especially players of Reina's quality. The difficulty lies in finding replacement of similar quality and within Reina's transfer fee + wage.

Get of peps back he is having a tough time but he is quality on is day he is the best keeper in the prem so cut him some slack

To the Poster above;

Ter Stegen is hand down Reina's replacement. Hell he is even more courageous than Reina in 1 vs 1's. rOther goals worth looking at are Cortouis and that Greek goalie, think he's called Kapinos and playa for Panathanikos...

Good plan. Have we looked at Alan Blaney of Linfield?

You act as though Reina could command a high transfer fee, but what club with that sort of cash in need of a keeper would spend that on him? World class, but too old.

Pepe will come good, support! Like stated above: Jones' form might nudge him back in form.

Zieler to us, would you want a former ManU player?

Neuer? About as likely as Casillas.

Ter Stegen is german, not danish.

Ed, there are constantly people on here saying Henderson is on his way out. I happen to think he is a good young player who is improving. My question is do you still think BR want's rid of him, or do you think he has a future at the club?. {Ed001's Note - he is seen as a squad player, unfortunately for him, he is down the pecking order and it will be up to him if he stays and fights for his future with us or looks to leave. Rodgers was looking at loaning him out, to get him first team football, he would be allowed to go if he wanted. It is not a case of wanting rid, more a case of him not being first choice and the money being better spent on a first choice player.}

Henderson is a bright young player. He is improving game by game

Henderson wants to stay

It was said he would be allowed to leave last transfer window for a few million. how can we accept that much when he cost nearly 20 mill? its crazy. lets hope rodgers spends wisely because this can not keep happening buying players below liverpool quality...redman matt

He should leave lets be honest br could find a better player for a lower price he is 22 nearly 23 how much is he going to improve as a fist team player never mind a squad player i like him and his attitude tho

I really hope he stays. sahin is still on loan. and theres no way of telling that sahin will definitely want to move here next season. i thought as a DM, Henderson is good. short passes, keeping possession.

Kaizer

Henderson is a decent player and did well in first season at Anfield considering his age. I think BR has to show more confidence in him. We've actually got a pretty good central midfield at the moment with competition for places - Allen, Shelvey, Sahin, Henderson, Gerrard. We'll be short in that area if he goes as he can play in a lot of positions across the midfield.

i was wondering if we had looked these players at all. Michael Ortega, Luis Muriel, Andre Schurrle, Luciano Narsingh, Axel Witsel.
I know our centre midfield is quite overloaded with players, but with gerrard being 32, lucas always being injured and sahin being on loan, these could easily replace them. and we are still in need are more forwards, and all of them are young and have alot of potential.
Great site btw. Matty

Lucas always being injured?? The knee and thigh injuries have been the first of his career!!

Witsel moved to Zenit recently

Henderson, Shelvey, and Allen would then be our midfield

Witsel just moved to Zenit; Muriel just signed a contract extension; Narsingh just joined Eindhoven on July.

Schurrle and Muriel aren't mids.
