Bayern Munich want Firmino. I knew no good would come from him scoring goals!

We should offer whatever it takes to keep him. Didn't he just sign a new contract? That could be bad news, players who leave often do so after signing a new contract.

Big club but pants league. Well not pants but not as good as the prem or la liga.

Firmino doesn't want bayern. problem solved.

Firmino is going nowhere. I know we've lost Suarez and coutinho recently enough to "bigger" teams but they both gave the club absolutely no option. Liverpool is without doubt on the way up and have no reason to sell. I'd be quite confident as long as klopp stays we will continue to improve and can only see the squad being strengthened in the summer with a few quite big deals. Klopp will have these players believing that they can create history with this club.

Isn't this rumour based on a throwaway comment by a journo or ex-footballer who said Firmino would be an ideal fit at Bayern if they sell Lewandowski to Madrdid?

Can't believe there r still fans on this website who still believe on this kind of crap. Just think of this : LFC has better fans, better stadium atmosphere, better manager, better league, more attractive style of play, offer better salary. than Bayern. So, 0% chance some1 leaving for Bayern unless we don't want that player anymore.

As for Salah, yes RM r very attractive as titles r granted but Salah will never have the same appreciation from that club, spanish league is boring, . And the most important thing is we don't want to sell him, never in a million years next season or the season after. He will remain here till the end of his contract and then move to Real unless he starts doing the same as Coutinho (who did what he did after staying 5 years with us) . We just have to b successful on the pitch and offer him the best salary in the premier league as he's already the league's best player.

Hope that helps for anyone worried.

I can't think of a single LFC player who left for Bayern Munich. I doubt Firmino will be the first.

Good shout BXL red, let’s just start winning trophies and shatter our wage structure to keep Salah. If only we’d thought of that in the early nineties, we’d still have the most titles in England. We’d be bankrupt, but we might have won a couple more titles before going bankrupt.

I mean the Allianz is a pretty nice stadium very modern, so facilities will be better than we have but history and atmosphere nothing beats anfield.

BXL red you are right about all of those things, but Bayern are a special club along with the likes of Real, Juventus and Barcelona. To play for one of them would be amazing for any player.

Not that I think Bobby will go or that this rumour is even true.

Why wouldn't people believe Bayern want Firmino, nothing strage about that. Havent seen anyone here saying he'd go. I'm sure Bayern and every other team in the world would want Salah atm too. Manè would take Sadio.

Don't believe this rumour for a minute, but regarding the atmosphere at Anfield, it's been dire in the last few years. Don't German stadiums sell cheap beer?

Something Red - coudint agree more I think may have been Ian Wright said about Firmino and Bayern and media just hyped it up mate, I think it’s ckear Lewandowski wants out too Real Madrid but I believe Timo Werner be the one they have there eyes on.

BXL RED, did you honestly say make him the highest paid player in the league?
I've seen some media outlets claiming Sanchez is on as much as £600,000 a week. We are not going to be paying that kind of money!

LFCleon, do you really think that a modern facility stadium bares much weight on a player moving club?

Hi Ed002,

Apologies for the possible list of random names. I've seen we've been linked (unreliable papers) with the following. Can you advise if you are aware of genuine interest in any of these?

Donnarumma (AC Milan)
Isco (Real Madrid)
Carvajal (Real Madrid)
Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona),
Jonathan Tah (Leverkusen)
Bernd Leno (Leverkusen)
Benjamin Henrichs (Leverkusen)
Leon Bailey (Leverkusen)

Liverpool are on alert after Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure admitted this week "it would be a dream" to play for them.

"Liverpool is a club that need no introduction, " said Doucoure.

"I was impatient to play there, at Anfield. I wanted to feel the atmosphere.

"For me it would be a dream to play in a club like this. "

Always thought he would put grow Watford and I think would be a can replacement if true.

Only a month ago I read his comments that he has always wanted to play for Arsenal 😂 great player, but he is starting to seem like a bit of a flake.

Anyone else remember when Arshavin had about 14 dreams in a week after euro 2008 linked him to everyone.

Where exactly did you read that MK? He was at one point quoted out of context when he indicated he was convinced to move to the premiership by Arsenal's Abou Diaby. I don't remember ever reading anything about his direct preference to play at Arsenal.

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Mar 2018 13:44:55
It was a direct quote Reynard. I don't know what the exact question was but Doucoure said (from memory) "Arsenal because of Arsene Wenger".

I expect it was a loaded question but he has still expressed a desire to play for Arsenal, and now Liverpool whilst he is still contracted to Watford. A few days ago nearly everyone wanted to burn Emre Can at the stake, just for talking about which league he wants to play in next season. Double standards?

I'd still take Doucoure. He is a really good player and he reminds me of Patrick Vieira the way he glides forward from deep, bullies the opposition, fires in shots from the edge of the box, crunches in to tackles etc. I'm just pointing out that he seems to have a problem with keeping his mouth shut when the press ask loaded questions.

Agree2 Disagree1

28 Mar 2018 14:35:02
I'd take Doucoure too (if Ndidi was not available) . There's a serious need for one DM in the squad, even if Klopp uses him only against certain teams.

And I wouldn't worry too much about players mouthing off. It's par for the course now. They forget what they've said. And readers forget what they've read. Kinda balances things out a bit, I find. 😎.

Wow, thanks MK mate. I totally missed it. I reckon you're probably right and he was responding to a loaded question. People forget that footballers are kids (at 25 I was doing some really stupid stuff! ) and it is fairly easy to catch them out. I agree with you that he has the Patrick Viera quality which is why I can see him being matched to Arsenal but I definitely think he's worth a shout if Can leaves and we don't want to overload the team with extreme earners and as a French speaker he would be a good companion for the incoming Keita.

Personally I think he is a better player than Ndidi.

I have seen very little of Doucoure so I watched him with some keeness when we last played them. He played most of the match on the right side coming up against Gini and was fairly anonymous (much like gini) . Im not sure if it was the 2 of them blanking each other out. His involvement improved greatly when Gini was subbed. However this also co-incided with Hughes coming on which pushed Doucoure more centrally.
