hooper
walcott
huntelaar
there the options for january then
DORSET RED

If we did get all 3 of these players, i will be over the moon {Ed002's Note - Zero chance of all three.}

Hunterlaar won't happen full stop, walcott probably in the summer

I would personally go for Demba Ba - proven goalscorer with Premiership experience

Would rather look at players like Harnik, Szalai, Bony, Hemed, etc...

In for cole and Enrique

First two hooper and Walcott maybe. Huntelaar won't happen

Huntelaar-no chance
Walcott- why pay
hooper - probably a 10-15 goal a season striker in the premiership no better than luis

Would rather not pay January prices and wait till the summer. if we can get rid of cole I'd go for Ba in January,as that may cover the extra price hike January brings with it

Ed 002 I can't understand how you can say zero chance of all three! What makes you so sure? There is always a chance! Dubred {Ed002's Note - Not much man.}

I think Demba Ba is a real possibility if this release clause is in fact true. If there is not a release clause then well we will end up paying 35mil for him, ooops no that was Acarroll! I think Huntelaar would be a great signing but i just dont think BR can entice him to the club. We all go on about the history of the club, but we need to start creating a new history. And right now i just dont think we have the charisma or funds to entice top players. You only have to look at the likes of Borini, Coates, Downing and Henderson to see what wasted cash we have spent. I personally wouldnt of let AC go on loan, i would of kept him regardless. And Assaidi i cant comment on yet. Allen, good signing.

Personally i would like to see bids Andre Schurrle, Lewandowski, Welliton of Moscow. Jamie

Er Coates is quality and can only get better! He was was bargain for the £6million we paid for him!

Hooper would be a great signing would score alot of important goals for us however i dont think he will come just yet mabe next season but not in jan or the summer celti wouldnt let him go

Are you really slating Borini and Coates? Even Henderson? All 3 are under the age of 23 and have showed a lot of potential. Hot damn, LFC fans are quick to slate players. Where was van Persie at 23? Or Agger? Borini and Coates will come good and be great assets to LFC. Henderson is up in the air. Downing is the only person I can agree with on wasted money vs potential talent. He's just woeful.

Hi ed love the sight visit daily

its it true that Theo Walcott is stalling over an extension to his contract due to wage demands. If he moves to Liverpool we have to pay at least £100,000 a week?

and you think Raheem Sterling will move in January due to his wage demands? {Ed002's Note - I would doubt it is simply a matter of wages for Walcott. My gut feeling is he will stay at Arsenal. I would doubt Sterling will move in January.}

Sterling is the future of this club. He is going nowhere. Give him 40grand a wek

Ed 002 dosent seem to think we can attract players r even afford them could be the right termination.all i read is he wont be joining liverpool im not saying your wrong ed but we must still have a bit of pull we are liverpool supporters all over the world with not even a handful of clubs with more european cups.Tommy Irish Red {Ed002's Note - Why lie? If it makes you feel better I could say Walcott will leave?}

Thats ok ed02 hope we remember this in jan if he joins lol.tommy Irish Red

Arsenal will demand Raheem Sterling in part-exchange if Liverpool make a January bid for winger Theo Walcott, it has emerged.

It is likely he will return to London unless Liverpool can offer a substantially better contract than the one being offered at the moment.

Scoop Red

Sterling will be staying at Liverpool he just wants a better wage believed to be £30k where as we are believed to be offering half of that, however like all negotiations it will be settled probably around £25k with bonus related performances etc...

Its absolutely ludicrous to think that we would give Arsenal Sterling in exchange for Walcott, it is purely just wishful thinking on behalf of deluded Arsenal fans, Sterling is the future of Liverpool along with Suso, Allen, Suarez etc etc

BigD

They can demand what they like, if Walcott doesn't sign a contract extension we can get him to sign a pre contract then get him for free in the summer. {Ed002's Note - No, that is not possible. He cannot sign a pre-contract with an English side in January.}

Laugh at your life -

Theo Walcott or Raheem Sterling

Which one would you prefer?
(Rhetorical question) Bcos we all know the answer.

JMRED

Gooners getting desperate for players lol, you want to look for a new manager, Wenger finished, run out of ideas..

ive a feelin sterling has his heart set on a move back to london, hopefully we can hold on to him for afew years and then if he does move get a good fee for him

If your good enough your old enough eh apart from when it comes to your wages
If we dont pay it someone else will

Hi eds im unclear about the Walcott situation, is there any genuine interest in him? please answer yes or no :)

YNWA {Ed052's Note - yes}

At least there's not much chance of Spurs jumping in on this one.

02 Nov 2012 12:01:35
forgot to add to the end of the last post any interest in riki Lambert or Gary Hooper? just a poacher to see the rest of the season out?

Thanks
lew {Ed052's Note - We have continuously said we have interest in Hopper, but nothing in Lambert}

Hey Eds i know this sounds like a dream team but do you think theirs anyway Liverpool could pull off both Theo and Sturridge and play sturridge theo and sterling as a front 3 all are very fast skilful and can score

mikey {Ed001's Note - I expect Sturridge to wait until the summer before making a move.}

Not heard talk like that since rodney marsh's oranges comment

What about saurez ?

Sturridge not good enough.

In what dream team would you ever have Sturridge?

You make me laugh sturridge not good enough ed can you put this clown to bed saurez has hardly lit the world alight his shot/goal ratio is shocking for every 6 shots he scores 1 he's not played in an out and out striker role know of our forwards are he isn't that quick either makes sense to have 3 forwards with pace, skill who when giving the chance can berry it plus their all English so can communicate together and all have prem experience

Walcott and Sterling yes. Sturridge no

So we're the bloody hell is Suarez then ??

Cant believe someone is actually saying they would rather have sturridge over Suarez!! You must be insane, there wouldn't be a manager in the world that would take him instead of Suarez

LIVERPOOL want to sign Arsenal's Theo Walcott in January.
Kop boss Brendan Rodgers is willing to pay the England star £100,000-a-week AND play him in the central striking role he prefers.
But we can only offer Stirling 15,000 a week what's up with that

Id love Walcott to join but lets face up to the facts if its true he has that offer on the table from us then im pretty sure that Arsenal will match it to ensure he stays where he is, regarding Sterling he is only 17 so i think its a reasonable offer but we should offer him around £30,000 a week and get him on a 6 year deal.

BigD

Because Sterling is 17. You dont pay 17 year olds 100,000 a week. He has to earn it first!

BrisbaneLFC

He is only 17 30k is enough. we have to match any offer this lad gets he is one of the biggest prospects in the game and im convinced in about 4 years you will have the likes of madrid looking to buy this kid and anything we pay we will get back 10 fold everyone needs to understand a footballers top billing does not last long and his agent will prob be looking him to move for a big pay day.tommy Irish Red

Really why do we need another ryan babel there's plenty of talant out there who would not demand them wages and would be alot better

I've posted a couple of times from london that theo is talking about a possible move to liverpool, it could be that due to injuries he (walcott) could find himself playing in the role he wishes? Time will tell on this one? Although both parties will offer him a very good package its where he will play that will swing it!

Its not tue

02 Nov 2012 13:50:40
Sterling is a pheononomal talents but as the lads say you cannot give this BOY 30 40 or 50 grand a week at a mere 17yrs of age, he will self implode by 20 no matter how mature or grounded he thinks he is. However his ppl will be like any management firm and play the supply n demand card which is in a way correct... no matter what his age we are relying on him at the moment and performances warrant pay simples in any walk of life so unless he and his people understand Liverpool are trying to look after his best interest career wise and not rip him off short term we will continuesly face these problems and soon to join will be Wisdom and Suso, given far to much exposure at such a young age but blame Purslow FGS and Ayre for that.

Brilliant news. Walcott down the centre. Sterling on the left. Suarez down the right. Title winners

I think sterling should get 30k pw, he is a first team player give him first team wages in two years if he has earned 65k pw then bump it up and soo on.

I have a sneaky feeling man-managing Sterling is going to be an enormous challenge going forward. Potentially great player, but . . .

02 Nov 2012 06:44:49
if Sterling wants to go to London, swap him for Walcott. Then sign Eriksen and play the diamond in midfield with Theo and Luis as strikers.
Also do we have any interest in Benat from Real Betis? {Ed002's Note - If, as is likely, Benat moves Atletico Madrid is an option. Arsenal and Wolfsburg have shown some interest in him. Txiki Begiristain has, as reported, an interest in taking him to Manchester City.}

No way would i sell Sterling this kid is guna be really good if he stays where he is as he is a 1st team player, all he has to do is improve in the final third.

02 Nov 2012 11:24:18
im actually thinking he will leave, he has an attitude and ive heard BR isnt happy with that at all, if he is gonna be another premadonna then cash in on him we dont need that.

Eriksson will not be moving to anfield

Well Eriksson maybe not, but if Eriksen is available i expect LFC to make a good bid for him - maybe not now, but in the summer

Could you really cash in on a 17 year old? Didn't think they could sign professional contracts till 18,so don't think we'd get much if anything

From reports in london and there only reports but pretty good ones! Spurs are to offer a very very good package to ajax for toby alderweireld and christian eriksen! With players said to be extremely interested in the move due to contact from ex team mates and fellow internationals!

02 Nov 2012 02:20:36
hi ed,
is it true that sterling wants to go back to london....will he be signing a new contract with us {Ed001's Note - not sure, it depends on who you ask as to which answer you get! Most seem convinced he will stay as he is in the 1st team though, even those that think he is keen on a move back down south.}

Typical we get him as a 15 yr old a turn him into the player he is now and next thing we know he wants to go back to London, with either Chelsea or Arsenal waiting in the wings.. Really Really hope he stays

If he goes back to London then where will he be a 1st team player

Chelsea - No Chance
Arsenal - No Chance
Spurs - Possible
Qpr - Possible

Surely if RS wants to leave then something is going very wrong?
He probably deserves a better contract based on performances but over a season not a few games!!

The problem is, yes he's only 17, but is already an important first team player. And his agent will be telling him he should be paid as such.

Ash

Ed's, do you believe that we have no money or are we just saying that so we can sign players for not too over inflated prices?
Thanks
Scouse_Pride {Ed001's Note - bit of both, we aren't going to spend a lot and we are making sure people know so they don't ask silly money.}
