Like the way everyone is falling in lOve with the idea of rasmus elm after seeing his name and youtubing it he is not the type of player liverpool need we need bigger fish sadly those fish come with a price tag but some lavish spending would improve liverpools financial status massively even if all we did was qualify for the ucl lets hope fsg share my feelings

Yes mate- 2 class players are better than 4 mediocre ones. The squad players are here already!

It doesn't matter how much we spend, but rather how wisely. I couldn't give a s**t how much they cost, as long as they can do the job. And hopefully those who make the choices won't base their decisions on what they see on You Tube.

It's about spending wisely not lavishly

Your saying just because a player is cheap he's crap wow

why aren't you our chief scout?

He is younger and better than adam. We will be playing europa next year so we need a bigger and better squad to overcome injuries, suspension and fatigue which impeded this year's campaign. I am quite hopeful as we are linked with more quality players this year than the same time last year.

Younger and better than adam thats wgat they said about henderson

Tiote and Cabaye weren't 'big fish' when Newc signed them.

Yes, because spending so lavishly in the last window worked out fantastically for us didn't it? High price tag doesn't equal a great player. Look at the likes of Cisse and Jelavic - relatively small price tag yet they've been on fire. Stop talking absolute nonsense and realize it isn't how much you spend but how well you spend it.

Henderson is younger and better than Adam ,are you stupid?

Spending a lot of money does not guarantee results.There has been plenty of proof of this over the years. If you spend like City or Chelsea you should get results eventually but you also need the right backroom staff.

Would just like to remind ed02 that Purslow told Liverpool fans that the reason the takeover was taking so long is that they were looking for a new owner committed to building a new ground but delivered owners that would screw gillet and hicks. The phrase cut ya nose off to spite ya face springs to mind {Ed002's Note - I did not realise it was a promise that the club would get a new ground. I remain of the opinion that that is a less likely solution to redeveloping Anfield - which I think many of the fans would prefer as long as they don't screw with the name.}

The owners never said that, they believe like us reds anfield is our home, so would look into what is best for the club, whether it is a new stadium or redevelopment of anfield, i myself would love to see anfield redeveloped. just look at fenway park as a prime example, they know their stuff and tend to do right by the fans

Another case of taking a perfectly well constructed statement from the club, taking a load of words, twisting them round, and coming up with a different story........ Do you work for the tabloids ?

Maybe the O.P. would like H&G back.

30 Apr 2012 23:08:57
Soz Ed posted a couple on rumour page instead of Banter {Ed002's Note - I have no idea what "soz" means but if you are just saying that some posts are on the wrong pages, I would say that we like to mix it up sometimes to keep you on your toes. If you have accidently placed them in the wrong categories, it matters not as we just ignore that. Have a great evening.}

Ho ho ta ed

Come on, everybody knows soz means sorry. {Ed002's Note - Actually no. Some of us still speak in English.}

30 Apr 2012 23:07:29
hi ed i was reading some earlier posts and saw i guy who said we are looking to much to the future, i think hes spot on i think e need to spend big to get back to are normal ways i think liverpool need to look at quality we need a striker and a right winger but i also think we need a creative midfielder aswell. i know are budjet isnt high i got told we have about 35 million to spend we need to make te most of it. whats your opinion? many thanks {Ed002's Note - Putting aside the budget, I am confident that a striker and a right sided forward are being looked for. Midfield seems much tougher to understand what the plan is but certainly there have been a number of players looked at.}

30 Apr 2012 23:06:45
wouldve liked Podolski,ahh well

Why, he is not a goal machine, we need a 20 plus goal a season man

Podolski is one of the most natural finishers out there.

Soldado is better

He's such a natural finisher that bayern got rid of him and he's only had one good season

Hes scored 18 this year in a relegation threatened side. Imagine the amount of chances he would get in a better team

30 Apr 2012 22:48:25
How much will the chavs get from winning the UCL ? {Ed002's Note - It will be a record amount this year if the television share and everything else is taken into account. The figures are not yet finalised but Chelsea will earn more than Bayern and it is expected to be in the region of 60M euros if the win the competition - mainly due to the very significant television income.}

30 Apr 2012 22:31:25
edd do we have any chance of signing david villa, i think signing someone like this will lift the squad what do you reckon? {Ed002's Note - I would doubt there would be interest in him from Liverpool.}

30 Apr 2012 22:29:01
A video i found of sweden's four biggest prospects, starting with Rasmus Elm of Az in which we have shown interest. Erikssen does look good in this short video though.

The Rob

Erikssen not from sweden..He is from Denmark

Haha fail

It aint my video.. And yea lol

The Elm deal will be worth about £5.7m, De Jong will come in around £11-12m, the only question is who will be joining for the right wing, we will be staying away from the lads from Bilbao as they are too pricey, we will probably see boudabouz or belhanda we wont go for hazard as again too pricey and for the money may be too much of a risk.
We may also look at Ramirez if the price is right.

Markel Susaeta, apparently available for £10 mil, so we may well be going for a Bilbao player despite what you think.

Papa G

I think that ramirez and de jong will be smart business and in my view worth the risk

BREAKING NEWS!

Close source of mine tells me emile heskey will be returning to liverpool on a free in the summer.

He will be joined by, Ramus Elm, Gaston Ramirez, Luuk De jong, Soldado, Munian and Honda.

Outgoing will be Andy Carroll.

GEORGE HILL (REDTILLIDIE)

Wheres the £100m coming from you dope...

Elm £7m
Ramirez £16m
De Jong £13m
Soldado £25m
Munian £25m
Honda £14m

BigD

As a fan of the football club, I will pay for Mr henry to get Heskey to stay away from us.

Call yourself an LFC fan and post rubbish like that !!

Was deemed not good enough 8yrs ago so only an air head would think he is coming back .

Best opening line of the fantasy posts ever. Really made me laugh. Thanks for that mate.

30 Apr 2012 22:24:56
No fee has been agreed for Elm according to his agent!

@AgentMork - Patrick Mork who is Elms Agent

"Media reports that Rasmus Elm or AZ agreeing anything with a club in the UK is totally untrue"

30 Apr 2012 21:14:10
Hi eds, i haven't heard much regarding hazard on here lately (lol), so i was wondering if spurs are still the most likely to sign him.

Thanks,
Ryan
YNWA {Ed002's Note - I would not want to suggest who is favourite right now but would say that it won't be Spurs who are most likely.}

It must be us then. Get in signed sealed and delivered!

Man City are in the Box Seat.

Spurs need a striker not an attacking midfielder.

They are playing an attacking midfielder as a striker; Rafael Van der Vaart.

Also they are losing Adebayour who's loan is finishing within two weeks. So what do you think Spurs priority is.

This coupled with the fact that Luis Saha's six month contract at Spurs, is also coming to the end.

And the fact they have over spent in the last couple of years for club their size with the new rules coming in unless they get cl depends on their budget.

30 Apr 2012 20:59:57
Rasmus Elm, personal terms needs to be sorted out. Deal Verbally agreed! However we also have other options to decide from before anything can be concluded.
Thus I would expect very much Adam to leave.

Some what similar situation with Gaston Ramirez!

Suarez is expected to sign a new improved deal at the end of the season. So that definitely means he is staying.

Also don't be surprised if we decide to stick with Kenny Dalglish. [No matter what happens with FA Cup]

Armando

Y would we "surprised" as u say

30 Apr 2012 20:50:47
ed if and maybe its a big if liverpool sign rasmus elm and gaston ramirez can you possibly see charlie adam and maybe shelvey moving on in the summer {Ed002's Note - No idea.}

I believe that KD rates both players highly so can't see either being sold.

Moving shelvey on? I will rather move Gerrard on. Shelvey may not be that good yet but shelvey has a bright future at the club.

Shelvey is a star in the making, still rough around the edges but there is a diamond there. Bloke at work is a Blackpool season ticket holder and he says when he was there on loan he was by far their best player.

Shelvey will stay I'm sure he is a real talent and goal threat from the middle. The future in my opinion ahead in the pecking order infront of Adam for me at the moment.
However I think we can keep them all next year with Europe there should be a lot of games and I think Gerrard will be used sparingly going forward

Shelvey has shown he can play with the first team and not look out of place

Great to see that people are willing to give Shelvey a chance and not be blinded by some of the missed opportunities that he has suffered in recent games. He is a talented lad who will improve, will add goals and will prove to be a big star in the future.

30 Apr 2012 20:47:56
Ed's I'm just wondering, any players that Liverpool or any other club are looking at from Bilbao ..... I'm guessing they'll be over-priced and maybe Bilbao will be hard to deal with as they have a policy of only signing Basque players, it's not as though they have a wide range of replacements available ?

Also you've probably answered this but I can't find it (on my iPhone) but have we really agreed a fee for Elm ?

JP {Ed002's Note - A number of Bilbao players are interesting clubs and we know of no agreement over Elm yet.}

Cheers ed002 that's all I needed to know :)

JP

I have read a lot of posts on here saying that Liverpool have made a bid of £16.3million for Gaston Ramirez. However, I have heard that this is not true as the club are concerned about his lack of workrate and his lack of pace. It seems as if he may not be best suited to the EPL.

It has also been rumoured that Liverpool are keeping tabs on Celtic youngsters Paul George and Tony Watt (who we tried to sign from Airdrie) and Jack Butland from Birmingham.

Lack of pace?

30 Apr 2012 20:15:31
Its a sad day if the Elm story is true. Kenny has lost the plot. How far the mighty have fallen. Clueless.

Ted Twoizacarnt.

I presume you watch him regularly?

Why, elm is a good player, better than Adam that's a fact

Ted it is you that is clueless

Go and support the plastics then!

Nice name. Don't come on here just because you're team is losing!

MansfieldRED

Adam will be leaving so this does sound a good buy. Elm is a solid player and most likely going to be a squad player.

I bet you'd never heard of Cheik Tiote before Newcastle signed him. Some bargains available in the Dutch league.

Kieran.

What do you know about Elm? Zilch! Another couch potato making out he's an expert!
kidmillions

Ted Twoizacan't or what ever your name is..don't post negative comments like that with out justifying it lad.

Adam isnt even worth a strand of Elm's hair...Nuff Said, thats how good Elm is Ted. He has outscored all our midfielders combined!! I bet Adam cant even convert the ball from 1cm!!!...

I don't want to slate you like everyone else seems to be doing, but would like to know why you think that Elm is no a suitable signing for us. I am genuinely uninformed. Shed some light on the situation, Ted.

Some idiots just cant wait to jump on players backs. same idiots that will love him and say hes the best player in the world if e scores on his debut

I wil give three examples from dutch league kuyt hyppia and suarez make your mind up from there have had a look at elm on youtube looks an exciting prospect euros should confirm how good he is

Riise was probably going to turn out s**t as well as Hyypia and Smicer but last time I looked they all have won the Champions League

30 Apr 2012 19:48:31
Hi Eds, Do you fell Dos Santos at Spurs would be worth looking at? Spurs signed him from Barca and he does not seem to be have been given much of a chance. Going into his last year of his contract, young (22) & possibly quite cheap so within the scope of the FSG transfer policy? First time poster, great site. {Ed002's Note - I think it doubtful.}

30 Apr 2012 19:39:34
eds if this Elm story is true when do you think confirmation of the deal could be announced? {Ed002's Note - It is hard to tell. Certainly there is no deal right now.}

30 Apr 2012 19:33:58
Ed's whats the interest in kagawa like? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool, Manchester United, Udinese, Spurs, Villarreal and Valencia, who have shown an interest in Kagawa this past few months. Kagawa says that a move to Manchester United would be impossible to turn down. Reinhard Rauball has made it clear that there still hasn't been contact with Dortmund from another club.}

Ed if we slapped in a bid of around £14m do you think it would be accepted and do you know what his wages are?

Thanks
BigD {Ed002's Note - Wages are unimportant if the player is not interested in a move to Liverpool. I understand the last offer gave him a wage about the same as the top-earners at Liverpool.}

Do you think we could get him or is he another destined for utd {Ed002's Note - There has been past interest but if he leaves Germany and if Manchester United want him then that seems a likely destination.}

30 Apr 2012 18:20:10
Guys, this Elm story has happened with Spurs before...Swedish newspaper reported a £6m bid accepted, British tabs and websites picked it up but one way or another the transfer didn't happen in the end. Not saying that there's no truth in the Elm rumours but I wouldn't bet on him signing just yet, things change in football

Red Ollie

Oh no your kidding arnt you? i've jusy got his face tattoo'd on my arm based on this story!

Only this time, Swedish newspapers picked it up from an British tab, think it was The Guardian.

30 Apr 2012 18:08:46
Eds do we have a chance of suseata would look great in a liverpool shirt {Ed002's Note - Real Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris St Germain are interested in Athletic Bilbao's Markel Susaeta.}

We cant compete with any of those clubs for a player. We have no CL footy and I would think our wage structure is somewhat more stringent than the others.

LIVERPRES

Every club that attempts to sign a player will not offer the top end of their wage budget to each player. A player like Susaeta will, if he transfers, be earning wages that Liverpool could afford. I do agree with you that the lack of CL football puts us down the pecking order a little, but then again he's probably more likely to get more first team football at Liverpool than at Real or Arsenal and the likes.

Rugby Parker

30 Apr 2012 17:58:45
Do you have any news on Younas Belhanda? Toulouse player! {Ed002's Note - There is interest from confirmed interest in Belhanda from Arsenal and PSG and there is unconfirmed interest from Inter and Roma. The player wishes a move to Germany with Bayern Munich or Dortmund.}

Thank you ed

30 Apr 2012 17:55:26
Julien Laurens (French football journalist based in London working for french daily Le Parisien, RTL and Infosport +)

Just got confirmation that Dalglish & Clarke were at Toulouse - Montpellier to watch Belhanda more than anyone else. And were impressed.They just watched him. Could stay at Montpellier or go to #psg, #afc or other suitors. He is top class indeed and I think that's what Liverpool needs.

Oliver giroud aswell

They were there to look at Sissoko to make a final decision on whether to bid for him or for Elm. Considering all the 'news' today it looks like it will be Elm. NO Montpellier players will be arriving at Anfield.

30 Apr 2012 17:52:25
Hopefully we can raid the Eredivisie and put an offer in for Luciano Narsingh next. He'd solve our right wing problems. Jan Vertonghen and Gregory van der Wiel would be great options too...but I reckon a whole host of clubs will be looking at that pair.

-Shane.

He has his heart set on a move to Ajax, who are trying very hard for him. Most likely that he'd be moving to Ajax, if they can heerenveen's demands. YNWA Trustme

Narsingh would be a very good option for the right side and would not be excessive and cheap wages.

BigD

I'm a big fan of Narsingh too (and Bost and several other decent players at Heerenveen). The trouble is that they are going to be managed by Marco Van Basten next season, and they are very likely to be playing in Europe. You've got to understand what playing for Van Basten means for young Dutch players. I doubt if any one will be leaving Heerenveen this summer. -SH-

30 Apr 2012 17:24:50
Ed 022, when u gave us the link to the profile of Elm, you said that we have agreed for a deal(not exact words i guess) but somewhere else you say that the deal is close but not certain..does this mean the personal terms not agreed or the fee itself or any other thing entirely? And on another note, a general question..a team can only sign a player when a transfer window is open right, so is there even a very minor chance that a player who has agreed to sign for a club(podolski, marin and the like) later decide not to and change his destination? Thank you eds {Ed002's Note - He has not actually signed at this time. There is the chance that a player may decide not to see a transfer through. But I would count those as done deals, other clubs are not going to go after them.}

Thanks 002..

30 Apr 2012 17:38:29
Evening eds apprently we have signed rasmus elm for 8m I'm more than happy with that he's class and I'm sure fergie was going to renew his intrest in him this summer so look like we beat him to it. But we didn't move quickly enuff for marin which I'm gutted about he will be like david silva for chelsea but oh well lets hope gaston ramierz will join soon elm lucas ramirez deadly midfield trio.

DANDANDAN

And gerrard is where....

30 Apr 2012 17:26:31
Really looking forward to seeing Rasmus Elm playing in a Liverpool shirt next season.

At only 8 million he won't feel pressure from his price tag.

Let's hope he turns out to be a good signing! Y.N.W.A

Adam

Agree £8m is a good price for someone who scores goals, is a free kick specialist and a full international.

BigD

Bet thats not charlie writing this

Just hope it is true.Never count your chickens in this game especially with LFC.Could be another of our infamous "smoke screens" :-)

Woo! My message got posted on the rumours page, feeling honoured!

Adam

30 Apr 2012 17:11:24
Well people are saying that this season is still a success as we have already won a cup and in the final of thr other but all I want to ask from the ed's is that coming outside top 4 and winning 2 cups can attract the same players as we would have attracted if we had qualified for championd league {Ed002's Note - It depends - it would be case-by-case.}

The name Liverpool can attract a lot of real quality players who dont chase money unlike city or chelsea..

Eh i think we're pretty good at throwiing away money too.Jamie Carra makes about 80 grand a week and don't forget we paid 4 odd million to sack rafa, 4 odd million to hire hodgson and 3 odd million to sack him.Then there's lads like johnson and carroll and charlie adam that are up for the cup but not bread and butter premiership football.So the name Liverpool can attract a host of top quality mediocre players on big salaries by a disasterous management.Thank god your man who sacked rafa is gone anyway.it will take time for the yonks to sort this mess out.
galls

So jamie is a waste of money catch yourself on the mans a legend and easily 1 of the best defenders in england worth every penny just skrtel and agger partnership is going well remember when big sami was getting stick near the of his time and played out of his skin the season we near won the league when called upon thats how jamie will play now

As meat loaf said 2 out of 3 aint bad!
its not all negative i think is the point

1 of the best defenders in england?what a laugh!
galls

30 Apr 2012 17:07:37
Ed do you think the talks with elm imply that kenny is staying as otherwise a new manager would want his own targets? Do u still think he will go? {Ed002's Note - Please read the other answers.}

30 Apr 2012 17:06:38
eds or macca can you enlighten me here,last night i was in my local and on the tv was a foreign sports channel abit like sky sports maybe italian.anyway on the headline bar it had gaston ramirez,liverpool and 18million euros.i only speak english so no idea if this ment we had put a bid in or expected to put a bid in for him.
mrbrown {Ed002's Note - I shall leave it for Macca to explain the details of the deal.}

Have I missed something Ed. I've seen the good news about Elm, but there isnt any news about Ramirez (g) is there?.

Thanks
Burnsy {Ed002's Note - No. I am just sick of answering the same question over and over again.}

Ed002 i understand you get fed up answering the same questions i only asked as on this channel i thought there maybe sum development as of last nyt.like a said sayed the 3 things a mention was in the same headline but the words inbetween i couldnt make out due to it been in foreign
mrbrown

Thanks Ed - me getting confused about the earlier post.

30 Apr 2012 16:46:20
How can teams sign players in April. I thought there was transfer window

Harry H {Ed002's Note - They have simply agreed to move when the window opens.}

30 Apr 2012 16:44:30
Hello Ed's and fellow red's etc; Just a question, as I believe this hasn't been answered before. Regarding the interest from Paris-Saint Germain in Suarez... surely he would be thrown off the move due to the saga between himself and Patrice Evra, I mean surely all the french fans etc would constantly boo him and treat him badly due to his 'alleged' racism towards Evra?
Many thanks
Favlar {Ed002's Note - The French fans would have no interest in the matter at all.}

Evra isnt well liked in France from my knowledge.

Evra is not popular in France anyway.

Adam

People appear worried about PSG signing players from around Europe including LS and other stars from the prem. I believe this will not happen, not because PSG do not have ambition and indeed Paris is a beautiful city but the outcome of the coming French Presidential election will have a significant impact on their plans.
It is looking most likely that the Challenger Hollande will defeat the incumbent In early May. His intention is to introduce a 75%tax rate for earnings over 1Million Euros, this along with 25%VAT will make France an unattractive destination for high wage earners.
I work in the finance industry and i think indicators are showing that Spain may implement similar measures in the near future. I think the landscape of European football will change quite dramatically over the coming 2-3 years.

30 Apr 2012 16:24:25
Eds, Longshot i know but Guillem Ballague said that Barca are going to try and sell Dani Alves and David Villa in the summer. We wont get Alves but is there a chance of Villa? {Ed002's Note - I will say no and expect the usual trashing from the vegetables convinced that Villa is the answer to everything.}

Alves no chance wages ouldbe a major problem as would his fee.

Villa once again wages would be a stumbling block as he is probably on around £110,000 a week after tax, and he is the wrong side of 20, although id love him it won't happen.

BigD

30 Apr 2012 16:23:09
If the right player is available the owners will spend but expect a far more cautious Summer, they are absolutely furious about the club's transfer dealings last Summer. The club's brief is young talent (25 or under) from the leagues across Europe who can be purchased on the cheap on long term contracts on lowish salaries and in particular we have scouted the Europa League throughout the season extensively.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Jesus Christ the poor old incoming DOF has a right job on his hands. The owners don't want much do they!!!

Ozone

Young British talent which needs to be continued.!
Adam Johnson
James McCarthy
For examp,e

Sounds sensible to me. Newcastle have done something similar, to great success. So I don't think it's asking for much. If I were the owner i would be furious with our transfer dealings so far also. I suspect the selling clubs have been laughing all the way to the bank.

Seems to have worked for Arsenal and Newcastle and they are both above us in the EPL !!

Love newcastle and arsenal battling for the title.

A Johnson f££king massive wages.
J McCarthy massive transfer fee.
By the way i like J McArthur.

30 Apr 2012 16:20:05
Hi eds what are liverpool's chances of bringing both luuk de jong and rasmus elm to anfield? Also do you think lfc could make a bid for pienaar? Been outstanding for everton. And finally have arsenal well and truly signed podolski? {Ed022's Note - Arsenal signed Podolski ages ago mate. No interest in Pienaar from Liverpool. The chances of both of those players aren't the worst mate, but by no means certain.}

30 Apr 2012 15:56:33
Eds, would you its looking more likely Kenny will be staying on next season given the moves for the likes of Elm? Surely a new man in would have a wishlist of his own?

Many Thanks
Amz {Ed002's Note - That is not really how it works Amz. Life goes on at a club as transient employees come and go.}

So Ed, who is it that is actually in charge of our dealings? As Comoli has gone, Dalglish may well be off and a new man might want to bring in his own scouting team/ targets plus the new DOF. Just interested. Thanks in advance. {Ed002's Note - I am sure that the existing staff will be able to deal with matters arising. Managers rarely come with their own scouting teams.}

At Chelsea maybe.

30 Apr 2012 16:01:08
{Ed022's note - Brand new player profile for all of you Liverpool fans, as it's on none other than Rasmus Elm of Alkmaar, the player Liverpool agreed a fee for today. Provides all the information you guys need and an opinion etc! www.player-profiles.co.uk - Thanks all!}

30 Apr 2012 15:55:16
Hi all I just want to pass on some info to you guys. I post on here a bit but never really have real transfer info just speculation but this has come from a well respected Irish journo who writes for a broadsheet here at home. I have e-mailed this guy a lot before with regards his articles and opinions and he has actually always been decent enough to reply to me and I have a lot of respect for him, a good journalist. I had been discussing with him what went down with Comolli or did he know anything and how would this affect the transfer policy for the Summer? From what he gathers the targets put forward by Comolli and Kenny are going to be pursued for the Summer.

He didn't mention anything about Elm but hears we are very keen on Susaeta, more so then Muniain who doesn't appear that interested in a move to us. He reckons De Jong and Giroud are the main striking targets as Lewandowski is too expensive and doesn't want to leave Germany. He never mentioned Soldado. As far as he knows the only English club with serious interest in Ramirez is City and that is dwindling. Kenny rates Adam Johnson extremely highly but others at the club don't... Whatever that means? This could be complete rubbish but I felt I'd pass it on because he has never included transfer speculation in our e-mails before. This is obvioulsy the collective knowledge of journos around the place but interesting none the less.
The Gooch

30 Apr 2012 15:51:01
Hi Ed since morning i read lot of rumours abt elm is it true that he is signed. re lfc interested in player. Do u expect he will sign for us. And wht abt de jong. thanx {Ed002's Note - Elm has not signed, but there is a very good chance that he will. Interest remains in De Jong.}

Is it true that we've agreed a fee ed. {Ed002's Note - I really don't know if a fee has been agreed or not.}

30 Apr 2012 15:47:02
Arjen Robben looks to be wanting back in the premier league. Ed's any interest from liverpool FC? {Ed002's Note - I don't see that Liverpool would be interested in him and his preference would likely be for a move to Italy this summer. AC Milan have a long term interest in him and Palermo are looking at players of his ilk as part of their extensive rebuilding. Things could change of course.}

To old.

Macca, know anything on Rasmus Elm?

Cheers.

30 Apr 2012 15:30:05
is there any truth in us putting in a bit of 8m for rasmus elm? and also are we looking at oliver grouid?

adamlfc {Ed002's Note - PLease read the other posts.}

30 Apr 2012 15:33:13
It is 100 percent confirmed that kenny daglish and clarke were watching belhanda more than any1 else in the montepellier game and they were pretty impressed by him .scored a 3rd minute winner against toulouse.ed's i am 100 percent confident about this news what u say?- mihir {Ed022's Note - Hey if you're 100% certain that's all we need fella!}

Yes your 100% certain from a tweet you read !!

Paha that is all

Just remember the name and then we will talk. - mihir

So is he any good then ?

30 Apr 2012 15:02:23
What is the situation with Alex Song at Arsenal? He still has not signed a new contract and has just a year left of his now. I would love for Liverpool to make a move for him. A partnership of Lucas and Song would be a great foundation. Any interest from us Ed, and what do you think of Song as a player?

Anfield Rapstar {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest from Liverpool in Song.}

30 Apr 2012 14:46:35
Why don't liverpool go for someone along the lines of lewandowski? rakitic? m'villa? Personally id love carroll to go, he just doesnt fit at liverpool he has potential but we dont play the football he needs so take a cut price fee and admit the loss. Go out and sign someone like lewandowski or van wolfswinkle or even put a bid in for soldado becuase if you dont try you'll never know. Sell maxi, kuyt, aurelio, downing(i know not realistic but he's poo) put carragher on the coaching staff now he's past it. Feel free to post on the subject guys..

Ahhh Rakitic. I've wanted him at Liverpool for years but I can't see it ever happening.

All these so called fans wanting players along the likes of Higuain, Lavezzi, Cavani come on get a grip if we sign some one like that i will be very suprised. liverpool are still in transition we need players to fill the gap from europa league side which we only just are currently to step back up to a champs league side then the big names will come expect no champions league players to come to liverpool unless we offer over the top wages. We r no longer the team we once were hard to say but we need to be realistic Elm not seen much but being slated no true fan wud slate a player before they have even signed and if he does sign like MOST players will need time. We wont sign big players personally Moses, Hoilett, Ter Stegen (spelling ) Luuk De Jong , Munian (who is a doubt) these kind of players will sign. Dont forget liverpool dont usually dont do business in public be patient and we will sign the best possible players AVAILABLE and that Are WILLING to sign this is not football manager people.

Craig T

Haven't liverpool been in transition since souness demolished the club?

We have been in transistion from the benitez era of which we were a champions league team and also finished 2nd in the league. Look at what players we had and have gone since then. Im talking about these fans saying we need WORLD CLASS players the likes we used to attract because of champions league football if you want to go back further than Souness we can go back to the last time we won the league we could still be in transtion from then. turn it in.

Craig T

All we Liverpool need is a striker who can put the ball in the back of the net. Nothing else

We just do not have the financial clout to go get the Cavani , Higuian type players , also we are no were near a CL team

We are far closer to CL than appears.
We need control of midfield,that is where i would make a blue chip signing.
We should aim for young strikers on the way up and just below the radar,but that takes good scouting.
Catch22

30 Apr 2012 14:34:30
I personally believe that deals such as the potential Elm deal are the best way forward for the club - The kid has ability and for 7-8 million, feels like the right way to speculate with your money - any thoughts?

Have a great day all

Jamie

I agree a player to impove and take us closer to champs league football only then will the big names come.

Craig T

Yes i agree maybe players like de jong and sissoko are what we need - young , athletic with good workrate and not loads of money

30 Apr 2012 14:30:02
i believe we should go for hernanes instead of ramirez , cavani or mario gomez instead of luuk de jong ( oliver giroud ) , javi martinez or ever banega instead of rasmus elm , these are top class players that would bring us back to CL but with bringing these players ( de jong , ramirez ) we will be waiting for 2-3 more years for CL , they have talent but not ready enough for big teams .. please relate editor {Ed002's Note - Liverpool are not financially in a position to do that even if the players could be persuaded to make the move.}

Another footy manager fan who thinks we can buy any one we want with the player obviously not having a say in the matter

Gomez? Really?

Why would he join us? He is top goal scorer for a team playing in champs league final. Just isn't going to happen.

I guess it is silly season again.

What is wrong with you people that think we can sign the like of cavani, gomez?? come on, get real guys!!

Ramirez is world class

I lol'd

Idiot

30 Apr 2012 14:22:55
Eds have we made a bid for Gaston Ramirez of 20 mil, plz confirm it. {Ed002's Note - Read the posts and use the search function please.}

30 Apr 2012 14:15:40
hi all, do you think that we are looking to much to the future and not now ? do we have any interest in saldado or is it just rumours? i also think that jesus navas would be a perfect signing {Ed002's Note - Soldado has been done to death - try the search function. Nobody would sensibly take the risk with Navas.}

30 Apr 2012 14:13:59
Same old, same old:

Why are we consistantley trying to sign players from europes lower ranked leagues. i.e. dutch and french? we should learn from our mistakes and only sign guys from the top leagues including spain, premiership and maybe italy.

I know suarez is a good player but so maby others came with the "next big thing" tag and simply weren't... i.e. babel, kuyt, bruno cheyroux just to name a few.

So you dont rate Agger and Skrtel as well?

give me a break

I was under the influence Newcastle bought from the Dutch and French league and are finishing higher than Liverpool, just saying. People need to realise that they aren't going to sign massive names.

These leagues have producted so many insanely good players overall and have much greater home talent then in England at the minute, and the prices of these players are resonable, plus decnt wages.

Players like Zidane came from the French league. We have bought youth players from Barca's acedemy who are currently not setting the world alight eg. Pacheco etc.

Ska-oop

Like Dossena?

Im just saying guys that when we buy proven tallent we always seem to do well, bt are always taking chances with players like babel and yes dossena

What makes any proven league guarantee you a good player?
Do you even understand football?

Yes because Dutch and French football has never produced any world class players have they?

You are an idiot. cosy how you only think the epl and spain are best and forget to mention the bundesliga etc, there is more to footbal then the epl and barca and real madrid you know. watch some of it and you might actually learn something {Ed022's Note - The Bundesliga is pretty poor to be fair, as well as most of the other leagues, and I am more than qualified to say that before you get all moody.}

Unfair to knock Kuyt he has been a good player for us until this season. Think before you type.

What... so you think every good player comes from the epl, la liga, seriea etc. i think you'll find that these leagues get some of there best players from lower ranked leagues!

Where did we sign Craig Johnston from? Jan Molby? Kevin Keegan? Even King Kenny? Lower or lesser leagues! Just because they are not a huge name already that is no reason tha they could become top quality players in the near future. I think we have to back the club in what they are doing, we are not in the position currently to sign the top calibre players that we would all like to see at the club, who knows in the near future we may be, but we have to have patience, this is not going to be a knee jerk reaction, I think that kind of happened last summer and look how the league has gone this year. We now need to trust that the players we signed will come good and we can add some more talent to that. Fellaini was awful his first season, so was Nani. Patience people!

You need to understand that we are trying (like everyone else) to catch these talents in the smaller clubs/leagues before they make it with clubs in the bigger ones and then become well known names. no transfer is ever gauranteed success no matter who they come from or how much they cost.

Dodge

Only 1 name needed: Hyypia.

He never did any good for us did he? Over 300 performances and at one time he was the best CB in the league.

Oh, and also didn't Suarez come from the dutch league too?

Yeah cause Holland isn't one of the best teams in world football and France haven't won the World Cup a few times

Shopping in the Premier League did us a host of good last Summer didn't it.

You realise that suarez isn't the next big thing but one of the biggest in the world.

Has to be a gee-up surely...what a person post...

Kuyt has been outstanding for liverpool over the years. ok he hasn't been the best this year. but he has been one of the best players of recent times. like one of the other posters said, hypia was outstanding. we got rob jones from crewe and he never let us down.Gareth bale went to spurs from the lower leagues and look how he turned out, theo walcott, oxlade-chamberlaine isn't a bad player.

30 Apr 2012 13:59:04
Podolski to the gooners, theres another one off the list! You eds will be havin a quieter time at this rate as one by one the favourite targets from this site get snapped up lol

Well done, you are clearly very up to date, are you going to tell us that Torres is going to Chelsea next?

That was ages ago mate!? Not sure even that Poldolski was that much talked about anyway, wassamatta with ya!?

I think you have mixed up rumours with this will defo happen page!!

Are we going to here these ridiculous comments everytime somebody buys a decent player?? For crying out loud we cant have every player going plus im not sure there was any interest from us in Podolski in the first place.

What imaginery list is that?

30 Apr 2012 14:00:25
I love the way this Elm is getting slated already, it's the same with other players as well. Ask yourself this - are they Liverpool players? And why would they want to come to a team where the so called supportives just are constantly on their back along with the manager! Despite poor results I am happy with this season. 2 cup finals, 1 in the bag and we have not played too bad. For Christ sake we've hit the post over 30 times this season, penalties not given and a lot of key players out for good lengths of time. I think a couple of signings and a bit more luck and we're not far off being great again

Elm is a very good player, maybe just what we need, we need a player to do things what Adam needed to do

Did kenny write this.

I totally agree with the poster. You also forgot about the missed penalties.
It has been disappointing but the line between success and failure are so small. Stick with it guys, Liverpool will come good.

Well said! MD4

We have played some good stuff but need to sharpen up our finishing and play less slow slow stuff in our own defensive third. Our passing game has been good but we need to do it going forward , not backwards.That does not put pressure on the opposition and is easy to defend against.

Excellent post, i agree with everything you said.

Right on brother!!

30 Apr 2012 13:55:41
Eds, I have heard a in named premier league team are set to put a bid in for pedro leon. Seems rather unlikely to me as he has just moved to Getafe but I just wondered if you've heard anything.

Sam Adzii jft96 {Ed002's Note - He is only on loan at Getafe.}

Ah right ok thanks. Any news on any EPL teams looking at him though?

Sam Adzii jft96 {Ed002's Note - He has said he would like another year on loan at Getafe and I have not heard anything of interest from any side, including English sides. It does throw up the thought that if he does not wish to return then perhaps they could make him available for sale.}

30 Apr 2012 13:52:53
Yesterday Marin was confirmed by chelsea, and now Podolski is ready for Arsenal. Macca, are there any players we are close on signing that you are aware off? I suspect that theese Elm rumours came from twitter this night and has just exploded without any truth in them.

30 Apr 2012 13:46:27
Hi Eds,

Love the site, very addictive. Ed002 is my favorite - I have a crush on her even though I've never seen her. Love how fiesty she is!

Anyway, are we interested in Belhander at all? He looks like the sort of direct CAM we could use at the moment. Someone who can actually run with the ball instead of offloading (the ball that is) quicky. Thanks, TomRed {Ed002's Note - There is interest from confirmed interest in Belhanda from Arsenal and PSG and there is unconfirmed interest from Inter and Roma. The player wishes a move to Germany with Bayern Munich or Dortmund.}

I dont know for the fact that we have interest on those players or not but i am confirmed that tomred has interest in ed002 lol.

redh0t

Ed002 is a woman?! {Ed022's Note - Yes he is.}

30 Apr 2012 13:46:23
"Liverpool are also said to be interested in Toulouse's Moussa Sissoko and Dalglish made the visit in order to evaluate the midfielder for himself as well. Sissoko is a tall and confident midfielder capable of making purposeful runs into the box and he could serve as a good deputy for captain Steven Gerrard. " Eds are we back with intrest or is it old recycled news?? {Ed002's Note - I really don't know but have asked to see if anyone from Liverpool has spoken to Toulouse recently.}

Sissoko is defensive mid not attackin {Ed002's Note - Moussa Sissoko is certainly not a defensive midfield player.}

30 Apr 2012 13:43:41
ive been reading today comments being made about the possible signing of a player called elm, now ive never seen him play and so dont know alot about him, but what annoys me is the negative comments being made. yes i would have liked signings of the ilk of mata aguero silva etc, i would also have liked torres to have stayed and formed a deadly partnership with suarez, but none of it happened. our scouts have seen something in the players being watched to warrant putting in a bid, so if he signs then great, if he helps put us in the top 4 brill, however only at the end of next season can we know what he would bring to the team. lets see what players we do sign and judge them once theyve played and not before.
billy

I completely agree. Are people complaining because Elm is Swedish? Few people had heard or seen Freddie Ljungberg or Henrik Larsson before they came over to Britain. They weren't too bad.

Similarly, who would have thought that Finland would produce not one but two world class players both of whom played for us. Would anyone get rid of Skrtel or Agger now simply because of the fact that they weren't world stars when they were signed?

Its probably just kids who can't use him on fifa 12.!

30 Apr 2012 13:39:15
Eds macca told that alonso would love to be back to play for liverpool...definately not meaning that he would and with no offence....it doesnt make sense....he is in a far better club,with a squad thats arguably the best in the world,he starts every match,people who know football would know that its not Ronaldo or Kaka but Alonso who holds the entire pace of madrid......in short that was the worst possible sale in my opinion and i dont think the player would have such found memories of our club considering we are 8th and he is part of spanish championship winner squad.

Yeah, it's a shame that Rafa chased him out so that he could try and sign Gareth Barry as a replacement - what a fu***ng nugget!... and to think that there are plenty Kopites on this site who would love to have Rafa back as manage!

30 Apr 2012 13:04:42
Ed 002 have we made a bid for elm?

Love the site keep up the good work

{Ed002's Note - All I know is that nothing has at this time been agreed by the player, but I suspect it is well in hand.}

30 Apr 2012 12:56:57
Unbelievable the poor sod has not even signed yet, and the same knob heads have started slagging him off allready!
It's no longer you'll never walk alone at our club it appears to be you dont get a chance to walk at all?
A completely disgusted
RNred {Ed002's Note - You can imagine how he would feel if he saw the posts this morning. At least it gives the haters time to get their "Elm Out" flags printed up, and the Facebook and Twitter hate pages written.}

I agree with you... If the club thinks they are good enough, then we should do our best to support them. Just because a player has very little videos on youtube it doesnt make them rubbish!

The short term incentives of fans is killing the game and the club, modern supporters really doesnt understand what the club stands for.

Totally agree mate can't understand it anymore. It's getting like the fashion world unless you have a certain name on your shirt you're not worth buying.
Take some comfort that a small amount of people can make a lot of noise on the Internet
TSB

From what little I have seen of him he looks good enough.

Looks a good player and midfield has needed a bit of a change we have really got weaker in the last few years losing lucas didnt help though.

No wonder players dont want to play for us with fans like this, lets hope all future signing do not read this website too lol

30 Apr 2012 12:35:13
Don't quite understand buying Rasmus Elm, by the look of it he is a young technically gifted CM, I thought we had enough of those?!

Jatt YNWA

Didn't he just get names the dutch player's player of the season? That is impressive considering he would of beat guys like Eriksen, Vertonghen, De Jong, Strootman and Mertens. I won't lie I have not seen much of him but I know he is technically very good a dead ball specialist. I think Kenny wants Elm to do exactly what Charlie Adam has failed at.
The Gooch

He is more of a wing than a CM

And please be kind enough to tell me how many technically gifted players we have in cm apart from gerrard???

Shelvey and Henderson for starters.

How good is Elm??, Elm's soccer boots can buy Adam. I feel we should get Elm abduction Sigurdson and let Adam and Spearing go as they cant cut into our team. I see Elm as Successor to Gerrard. Imagine Elm and Sigurdson as attacking mids with Lucas as the Anchor. Damn that's mouth watering.... {Ed022's Note - I'm actually profiling him at the moment for you LFC fans, It'll be up before 4 and I'll let you know when it is ok?}

He's not a wing at all mate. CM through and through

We have a million and 1 centre mids.wtf? Kenny didnt buy a def midfielder as cover for lucas AND we havent had any natuarl wide right all year! That's crazy.
galls

Are you serious we have the worst midfield in the league get serious

30 Apr 2012 12:31:55
These Elm rumours are BS.
Am I right Eds?
Lee73

Are u stating something or are u asking something? Make your mind up...

Alright mate don't get your knickers in a twist! I was asking :)
Lee73

30 Apr 2012 10:50:06
Eds do you think we will sell Charlie Adam now we have more or less got Rasmus Elm? {Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

30 Apr 2012 11:47:04
Im sure there are much better midfielders out there than elm like joe allen or even the young crystal palace midfielder williams. He just looks slow and clumsy.

Comments please

Scouse ben

So Allen has experience but only a season, Ive seen them disapear overnight. We will re-sign Alonso all being well.. that's from Jay Spearing himself.. don't ask how I know but it is. Rasmus Elm scores wicked goals and has ability bags of it at such a young age! I appreciated u cannot judge a player on Youtube but take a look at his 15plus goals and u wont find a tap in! great crosser also which Carroll if he stays and thats a big if pending Spurs dont pull out then again its a positive.

Wow, first I have heard of Andy to Spurs.Anyhow, fact is Elm is a far better player than Allen or Williams.
Your statement about Alonso coming back makes me think the Carroll/Spurs bit is B/S as well.

Luckily for Elm there are better supporters out there than you!

LIVERPRES

30 Apr 2012 11:44:42
Is it true that we have signed Elm? Certain sites are reporting that we have, yet the LFC.TV site has not. Just wondering? {Ed002's Note - He has not signed yet.}

30 Apr 2012 11:30:42
Hi eds.....love the work you guys do.......havent posted in a while because i live in india and i am in the 10th grade and people here act as if if you dont do well in the board exams your life is over and you might as well recieve training on how to beg on the streets but i almost check the pages everyday.........anyways sorry i was rambling.....is it true that we have signed rasmus elm from AZ...i have always liked him as a player and he kinda looks like some bizzare gerrard-silva combination if you know what i mean...........anywasys sorry i am rambling again.....did we sign him or is it paper talk

DPK14 {Ed002's Note - He has not signed yet.}

30 Apr 2012 09:51:18
hey ed read on mail that dagglish went to scout olivir giroud what are the chances of him coming 2 us

vivek12011 {Ed002's Note - Lyon, Marseille, Valencia, Newcastle, Villarreal, Arsenal and particularly Malaga have shown an interest this year. At one point Nicollin discussed the interest in the player saying Newcastle were too minor a club and Arsenal would have to pay 50M euros, if not 60M euros for the player. The reality is that he will move for perhaps 20M euros or so in the summer as it will be tough for Montpellier to persuade him to stay. Interest at the moment is still being shown by Arsenal and probably Liverpool and Bayern Munich have made an approach to Montpellier. The player declared an interest in a move to Italy but much will depend on the price - I don't see Marseille being able to pay enough, nor perhaps Lyon.

30 Apr 2012 09:10:33
hi eds, are hulks comments true about there being 4 premier league clubs interested in him? and do you know who they are?

cheers

qwerty {Ed002's Note - His agent says he has spoken with four teams which is a rather long way from Hulk saying their are four teams interested in him.}

I'd imagine only city and chelsea are financially capable of buying him and united will not need to spend big on wings since they have a lot of class there already. whereas we will not even be considered by hulk no matter how much we pay

30 Apr 2012 10:46:46
Chelsea have reportedly agreed to sign Marko Marin for 7M?

Why did we not do that?

KD Lang

Cos Marin is not all that! Don't get too upset there eh?

Lukaku loan for a year is part of the deal aswell as something else apparently

Coz he is over rated, much like rasmus elm!

We already have left wingers in Downing & Bellamy, plus Marin is too lightweight for the PL

MansfieldRED

Could it be because he didn't want to sign for us ?

They signed torres too, did you hear about that?

Chelsea can offer more in the way of wages, and are a better bet (sadly) for the near future. Given he has no affiliation for Liverpool, why would he have turned them down to come to us?

Bellamy and Downing , mm. Bellers is always effective but is getting on a bit now and has a knee problem Downing? doesn't frighten anybody,not good enough.

Assuming we were interested then ask yourself if he wanted to come?

Some people are on the assumption it's like transfers on their football manager game that you just take your pick. If a player doesn't want to sign fo ryou then they won't.

Aswell as Champions league football and wages are big factors, we know this so I am lost as to why people say why couldn't we get Mata, Podolski, Marin etc.

30 Apr 2012 10:25:48
Have heard this from a trusted source who always has his ear to the ground.Says this is the script to move us to the next stage the club are trying to make it happen as quickly as possible.

Carroll sold £15 mil +
Downing sold £12 mil
Kuyt sold £?
Maxi sold £?
Aqua sold £?
Cole sold £?
Probable monies available from sales £40 mil +

Target players.
De Jong £16 mil +
Ramires £16 mil +
Elm £8 mil
Rhodes £7 mil

Resulting in a net spend of £7 mil + which would represent good business for LFC.
kidmillions

I really don't think Carroll & Downing will be sold. I can't see us getting rid of squad depth in those positions when we need it, even with signings coming in, I think they will stay put for another season.

Would also leave us with no depth.

Kidmillions wants to stay away from football manager on PC his and get back to the real world

Agree with Carroll and Downing staying, I think you'll see more from the pair next season after more new faces arrive, It takes the attention away from them and puts it on the new players. I think that has been a major burden on some of our new signings,Anyway thanks kidmillions

gee man

We will have an extra competition next season, we need to have more depth in our squad. we will not sell more than we buy, our squad is already as small as it is.

If kk was to got to the owners and say 'sorry guys, ive splashed your cash on pants players, id now like to sell them for a massive loss', do you really think the owners would be happy with that and give him more money to waste and let him carry on in summer? I believe either kk will stay and so will his signings or he will go, Saturdays result will play probably play a big part in the out come.
john

Why would chelsea sell Ramires?
De Jong a no no
Elm and Oliver Giroud should be coming
Rhodes a gamble.

Oh and cant see Neither Carroll or Downing been sold

Surely he could have some sort of operation to see to that...

Tell your source to get his ear closer to the ground then. De Jong has got a price tag and clause no higher than £12 million (It's £11. something million) Ed002 would give you the exact figure, but I think it might be in Euros.

You honestly thing a club like Liverpool can progress spending 7m net?
In the 1990s we'd spend 14m net per annum.
They'll have us groundsharing with Tranmere at this rate...

Sell Carroll for a League 1 striker, thank god you are not manager

De jong 13m
ramirez 16-17m
elm 8m
susaeta/afellay

30 Apr 2012 10:08:03
macca any news on Suarez staying/leaving will he get a new deal or move on, thanks

Suarez is the sort of player that will want to leave as soon as a bigger club comes in, The Real Madrids of this world.

30 Apr 2012 09:57:42
Apparently Oliver Giroud has a £13.5 million release clause in his contract and with 31 goals in 66 games for his current club Montpellier Liverpool could well make a move for the powerful striker who was watched by Kenny Dalglish and Steve Clarke in his last game.

30 Apr 2012 09:55:42
We signed Elm 8 million he's agent has said he reject clubs in germany and spain to sign for Liverpool.

We obviously havn't signed him yet.

I really really hope this is true, read it in the Mirror. Had look at some vids and he looks v sharp, Xbabi Alonso like. Would be a great partner for Stevie/Lucas in mid field. Adam will have to really step up his game and fight for a start with this kid around.

Yh im pretty sure an1 can go on the sun and read this story {Ed002's Note - He has not signed yet.}

He's an exceptionally good player, get him early as a good euros will push price up

What like Jovanovic?

To me he is a better version of adam if he can consistently produce the long passes, corners and free kicks as he appears to be doing in the youtube clips.

30 Apr 2012 09:53:42
is Liverpool looking to sign victor Moses from Wigan?

30 Apr 2012 09:49:00
Pepe wants Champions League football and this time it suits Liverpool, as Kenny has lined up the lad from Wigan

There a lot of good young keepers coming through the ranks at present, I don't think there's a team out there that would pay us enough to make it worth our while

Al habsi r u having a laf ?? hes not a bad keeper but relacing reina with him u have to be joking

Ok, if you go to the top left hand side of your screen, click the back button, then click on the link that says manchester united. there you are, you can make up rubbish on your own site now.

30 Apr 2012 09:32:47
Macca any info on reina future. Heard he mite be leaving in the summer if a big club comes in for him? Cheers MAGOO

30 Apr 2012 08:52:40
Reports suggesting we have tabled a bid for Gaston Ramirez from his agent.

Do the Ed's/Macca have any info on this or is it just papertalk or his agent trying to generate interest?

Koptalk suggest it might be true.

If Koptalk say its true....its probably not

It's true : )

It may be just papertalk with the press looking at his international team mate and putting 2 and 2 together but why not?

He is young enough to fit into long term plans, he has colleagues already here to help him settle, he is expensive but not enough to be out of our league and the most important he is exactly what we are after a goal scoring winger with pace and skill. If he is available and willing to come surely we should be looking at securing him.

I know KopTalk is usually a waste of time but since fatty Oldham got the comolli thing right I have started looking the site more now.

If Koptalk say it's true, I'd put money on him not coming.

Reports claiming that LFC are close to securing AZ Alkmaar midfielder Rasmus Elm.

Joseph Musker
Liverpool also keen to wrap up deals for first choices Nathan Redmond, Junior Hoilett, Gaston Ramirez & Luuk De Jong. #LFC

If we can sign this players - Redmond(5-10mill); Hoilet(free); Gaston Ramirez(16mill); L. De Jong(15-20mill); Rasmus Elm(8mill)

Around 50 mill for amazing transfers !! What do u think? 50 mill for 5 players, who have amazing talent? I WANT IT !!

Kenny bring them all please!

I agree good transfers, still would prefer Soldado or Muniain though.

I believe ed1 thinks hoilett will be joining spurs!?

De jong 15-20 mil? He's scored about 10 goals a season the the Dutch lge, hardly the prolific striker we need for that sort of money. And Redmond for 5-10, sterling can't get in the squad and u want another young winger? Silly talk

Redmond..? and Elms..?! Forget them, we should be signing the japanese duo of shinji kagawa who wants to leave and also Keisuke Honda.
Then were talking talented players.

Hoilett is Arsenal bound.
What about Jorden Rhodes worth a go I think? After the Euros Soldado and Muniain will be quite expensive and won't be sold till after the tournament. There is about 8 clubs after Muniain and 4 of them are in the CL.

De Jong has already got about 23 goals this season. if you are talking about avg, Must say, look at persie's avg and he wouldn't be looking that prolific, too. What matters is that how the player is playing atm and De Jong is doing very very good and seems to have ability to become very good player. YNWA trustme

I heard that elm is as solid as an oak.....

Hoilett is going to Bayern what about the souhampton striker Lambert jimmy case thinks he is worth a chance takes his chances just like aldo rushie who came from so called small clubs.

This is like deja-vu from last summer

Would be great if this happens BUT i dontbelieve it.
de jong has scored over 20 goals this season at 21 years old and yes a poor league its still a great record.

Instead of ELM i would rather have KAGAWA

Ed freddieboswell7(football agent) says that lfc met with roma 2 weeks ago to talk about suarez. Is this true? {Ed002's Note - It is not worth the grief for me to discuss the Suarez interest and situation and Twitter is something that passes me by. Sorry.}

Suarez will only leave if we find the right replacement. He's our marque player and I have know doubt that Liverpool would prefer to have an unhappy Suarez then an inadequate replacement. Personally I think what money we can receive will be secondary to finding the right replacement. Remember FSG are in this to make a return on their investment, this won't happen if they turn us into a selling club, it will only happen if they turn us into a CL contender.

How good an addition would Rasmus Elm be to the squad incase we are eyeing him? I had never heard of him before until now!

Just curious! {Ed002's Note - Elm will be a decent addition to the squad.}

12 goals in 17 games is not bad. 8m thats a bargin... :)

Dead ball specialist.... could make good use of the number of corners we get

He plays like cesc fab or alex song. great at free kicks an lots of over the top threw balls danger man that can create from nothing sould do well at liverpool will realese gerrard from defencive duty and alow him to play behind the st

So we r on the verge of signing Rasmus Elm n kenny will still be manager next summer. Im happy about the Elm signing but still skeptical about kenny staying, though it seems we cud have someone like guardiola or laudrup lined up to take over season after next. The question is whether elm is a replacement for one of our midfielders or not, my guess is adam.
Indian Buzzer

Elm will be replacement for kuyt !

And if Elm doesn't score a hat-trick in his first game then you'll be saying what a bad buy he is and we should sack the manager.

You wally

{Ed005's Note - To ensure that ALL questions regarding Elm stop as we are getting so many - according to what another ed tells me a fee may have been agreed for Elm but as of yet no personal terms have been agreed. When, is not known, however we are in a very good position to sign the player. So no need to now post persistent questions regarding Elm.}

ThanK you for that Ed005 :)

Hey Eds, how true is this Rasmus Elm done deal rumours? Do you guys have a profile of him? What does he bring to the party?

Thanks.

NosKee {Ed005's Note - No done deal for Elm.}

hi eds, are liverpool intrested in wayne hennesy, as wolves have gone down and he is a class keeper? {Ed005's Note - I wouldn't say so to be honest, he's too good to sit on our bench and I'd imagine if he does leave it will be to play regular first-team football.}

He was one of the worst performing keepers I watched this season regardless of their division

{Ed002's Note - Juventus, Spurs, Manchester United and Liverpool have shown interest in Rasmus Elm. Liverpool remain in a very good position to complete a deal but he has not agreed to a move just yet as far as we understand.}

This is what ED 2 put for my Rasmus Elm interest. So I will post this here so everyone now knows what there view is.

Cheers.

Renato ‏ @th14Renato
Liverpool have agreed an £8million fee for Swedish midfielder Rasmus Elm. Dalglish flew to Holland yesterday for a final look at him. #LFC

Renato ‏ @th14Renato

Elm and his agent Patrick Mork are thought to have agreed personal terms in advance of Dalglish's trip. #LFC

From some guy at twitter, eds or macca have you heard anything, and do you know anything about the player besides 3 min videoes? {Ed005's Note - Heard nothing.}

Sounds like a return to the Roy Evans era to me. 8m, Scandinavian. Not exactly Xabi and Masch is it!

Hey eds what's the deal with Rasmus Elm? Rather sceptical as from what I saw when I typed his name in twitter was a spam article.

Cheers {Ed002's Note - Juventus, Spurs, Manchester United and Liverpool have shown interest in Rasmus Elm. Liverpool remain in a very good position to complete a deal but he has not agreed to a move just yet as far as we understand.}

So we are trying to sign him? Are we in talks with his club? And if we were to sign him would this possibly mean that Dalglish will stay in charge? Would love to have an answer to all 3 eds. Cheers
KiwiRed {Ed005's Note - That appears to be the case mate.}

Cheers ed mate. Im excited, he''s a great prospect and has one hell of a shot on him. Great signing if we can wrap him up and i hope kenny does stay in charge myself.

we were not watching Moussa Sissoko, the focus was on Giroud

Atlast some good news for lfc

I feel we must look for value / realism this summer with no CL we cannot expect the big names to come. Carroll / Downing / Henderson will all remain and improve next season IMO. Spearing has done a job with Lucas out but not good enough for top 4. Sterling will get more game time but from the bench. Some big earners not providing vfm will be moved on. Suso,Coady,Wilson,Wisdon to go on season loans.

Outs
Aquallani - 7m
Cole - 2m
Kuyt - 5m
Maxi - free
Adam - 6m
Spearing - 3m
Aurelio - free
Doni - 1m

Total - 24m

Ins
Sigurdsson - 10m
Hoillet - compensation 7m?
A. Johnston - 15m
Badelj - 5m

Total - 37m

Mate none in their right mind would pay 6million for adam end of story even if we release him on a free it would still cost us a stupid amount if anyone does come in for him it will be a lower prem club or even a championship club and them types of teams do not have 6million sitting in their back pocket

ramythered

Oh alright then...

Aquilani wont go for 7mil. most likely is he'll be released withy a hefty compensation package, or will be loaned out if that cant be agreed

PSG most likely suiters for cole, around 5mil, but Lille may want to make the move permanent

Maxi wont be let go on a free, as despite his age would be more valuable than a lot of players on our payroll. perhaps Galatasaray or AC milan.

Spearing wont be sold (unless we're offered more than he's worth) - he's oe of the few players who would rather be a squad player for LFC than a starting player for a lesser side.

ins - Hoillet 7m compensation? to whom? has he had an accident on L4 that wasnt his fault? is he entitled to make a no-win-no-fee claim? no. there will be a signing on fee, as well as a pocket-liner for his agent, and others, but Blackburn wont receive a penny after his contract expires.

A Johnson - fits, but unlikely - we'd all love to see him here, but RM would rather stockpile players then sell to a rival. plus i think his attitude is disgusting - diving excused as 'anticipate contact'? last thing we need.

Badelj - anyone actually know anything about him, or just twitter/journo's at it again? {Ed002's Note - As I explained, he is a central midfield player watched twice by Liverpool in March.}

To the muppet ripping the back out the poster! Get ya facts straight. Junior (David) Holiet is 21 years old. All players under the age of 24 who leave their club on expiry of contract are subject to compensation fees unless not offered another contract. Blackburn have offered Hoilett a contract therefor any club signing him will have to pay compensation to Blackburn although I do believe it will be a lot less than £7m.

Huyton red

This post is totally way off the mark. Players likely to be coming in are - Rasmus Elm, Gaston Ramirez, Jackson Martinez and Luuk De Jong/Oliver Giroud. And to the guy who said we'd all love to have adam johnson here I would disagree, he's become arrogant and his attitude is all wrong, I'd prefer Gaston Ramirez, Ibrahim Afellay or Markel Susaeta ahead of Adam Johnson any day.

Is Rasmus Elm a done deal?

-Shane.

Looks like it, at £8m, Adam on the way out?

Said to be 8 million pounds, lets hope hes as good as they say. Seems to be a good player. I dont think Adams out, its just another buy for when Gerrard decides to retire.

I doubt Adam wil b going out he'd make a good squad player...possibly gna loan Henderson out 4 mre experience kuyt n maxi goin out..spearing not good enough leaving Lucas gerrard elms n Adam as main midfielders

Is there any interest of reds in Yilmaz? he has scored 33 goals in 31 games in turkey with his team, trabzonsport, wich means he'd donde very well this season, and that can be a good complement for Suarez... are there more news about Belhanda and Liverpool?
