Why would you believe a random Swiss person?

Didn't Klopp himself say that he wouldn't be taking time off?

I'd sooner believe a drunk Swiss yodeller than Klopp himself.
This has got to be one of the dumbest rumours of the year so far.

This post made my day, funniest I've read thus far

In his statement announcing he was stepping down he also stated he was not going to take a break. However.

Swiss people make really good watches and knives so this must be true.

Er right, even though Loew extended his contract a couple of months back until 2018 ( after next World Cup.) Utter nonsense.

According to City sources, Liverpool will make a counter offer on Man City's bid for Sterling. Liverpool want Jovetic plus 10 million for Sterling.Jovetic is one of Rodgers favorite players and he is convinced he is world class, but he has not been given the opportunity to show this at city, either because he was injured, or was out of favor.

30 Apr 2015 18:49:36
Eds we have no intetest in Jovetic do we?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No. Roma and, particularly, Inter Milan are interested in taking Jovetic back to Italy, perhaps initially on loan. His time in England has been plagued by injury and an inability to settle. Juventus have dropped their interest and moved on.}

30 Apr 2015 18:52:15
Given Jovetic's injury history, I wouldn't think this will be plausible.

We already have 1 player who's injured often in Sturridge, so why bring in another striker, who is likely to get injured?

If we were to sell Balotelli and Lambert, I'd probably try and get Dzeko off of City if anyone. We could offer him game time, he scores goals and could add a hell of a lot more than what Mario and Ricky have.

Whether it is a viable option or not is anyones guess, perhaps the Eds could shed some light?

I want to sign Jovetic even less than I want Sterling to stay!

I'd rather give Borini a go than listen to a swap deal with Jovetic.

if that's anywere near the truth Rogers the Bodger should open a medical centre with all the sicknotes he's supposed to be buying. Just get rid of the idiot and get a manager who can see and buy real talent.
Our scouting system must have a link to all the footballing crocks around Europe.
lets sell our so called prized asset for no money and buy the sicknotes of football for top money to sit in medical room most of the season like Jovetic and that greek defender, sounds about right for LFC.

Hi eds, was reading an article earlier about possible interest in Jese of Real Madrid, with a loan deal an the possibility of a £15M transfer the following summer and was wondering if you knew anything about it, thanks in advance.

Believable2 Unbelievable7

{Ed002's Note - Jese Rodriguez is again going to seek assurances about playing time that I am not so sure Real Madrid will agree to. On the basis of this he has said he may be forced to leave the club. Completely recovered from his crutiate injury Lazio, Inter, Milan and Bayer Leverkusen have made clear their interest in signing the player and Napoli, Malaga, West Ham United and Everton have all shown an interest in taking him on loan - which will be more palatable to Real Madrid as they are moving in to a potentially difficult period regarding transfers (with a possible ban looming). Interest from Chelsea is dependent upon what happens elsewhere with interest in players. Chelsea and Real Madrid have had a number of meetings over Varane but Real Madrid have made an approach to an agent of a Chelsea player and there may be discussions over him soon. Napoli's interest will likely leave with the manager in the summer. But no bid from Chelsea at this time.}

Is the player in question Hazard?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No, John Obi.}

Good afternoon. Do we still hold a firm interest in Yehven Konoplyanka, regardless of whether Sterling stays or is sold? I believe the chance to get him on a Bosman is a no-brainer. Also who do you see as possibilities for solving our goal scoring problem? Is Lacazette a realistic option or do we need to set our sights lower and expect the likes of Danny Ings?
Look forward to your reply.
Cheers. Dodge.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - No - Napoli, Inter, Wolfsburg, Roma, Sevilla, West Ham, Spurs, Shakhtar and Bayer Leverkusen have shown recent interest in Konoplyanka who is able to sign a pre-contract with any non Ukrainian side. Spurs and Roma have put the most effort in to trying to put a deal in place for the summer and his representatives have rejected an offer from West Ham, telling them his preferred destination is Arsenal. Dnipro have offered him a new contract. If Liverpool were going to look to the player again (and I don't know that they are), then it would be to replace Sterling.

Lacazette won't be moving to Liverpool. I have explained which forwards the club has shown interest in.}

30 Apr 2015 20:10:13
Ed, I hope you are right. Konoplyanka is a far more effective player than Sterling, and we will have plenty of change left over!

Hi Eds,
Does this alleged £14.4m bid for Real Madrid loanee Denis Dmitriyevich Cheryshev have any legs?

Believable0 Unbelievable7

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid have had a few approaches from clubs interested interested in taking winger Denis Cheryshev on loan or permanently this summer with Kuban Krasnodar and Real Sociedad both requesting a price. Previous interest from Everton went with David Moyes. Zenit and Metalist Kharkiv dropped whatever interest they had. As for Liverpool, he may well be an option to replace Raheem Sterling if he were to leave, but I am certain there has been no bid at this time. }

Hi guys I'm hearing a rumour from a well informed source.

Chelsea will move oscar and cech, possibly a few more this summer and will offer Liverpool what they want for sterling. Being a londoner sterling would take a Chelsea move and apparently mourinho has made him his priority this summer.

Believable6 Unbelievable15

{Ed002's Note - Someone is teasing you - he is not any sort of priority for Chelsea.}

29 Apr 2015 18:29:43
Hi Eds,

I'm just wondering if we've been looking at anyone in the right back position? I know we have a few but;

Johnson - Looks certain to leave
Flanagan - Hasn't been offered a deal has he?
Wisdom - Can't get a game at WBA
Manquillo - Only on loan

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Danilo (certainly won't happen). I am not sure what will happen to Wisdom. I suspect a new deal for Flanagan but if Manquillo and Johnson both leave then the club will look for a new RB. If Rodgers remains as manager it is not out of the question that Ibe may be tried in a wing back role. Alternative is that Manquillo stays and RB is no longer a priority. The likes of Adriano and Alves have been mentioned by agents as possible options but such players will be expensive and are unlikely to end in anything but tears. Folks, I assume because of something in the press, have been asking about Janmaat moving to Liverpool. I don't know of interest but I am pretty sure Newcastle would not want to sell.}

30 Apr 2015 18:44:55
Flanno out for another nine months hearing today so right back has to be a priority this summer. Assuming that Ryan McLaughlin is deemed not ready to step up?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Wisdom, Manquillo, Can has been playing there, Rodgers may use Ibe as a wing back next season. There are much higher priorities.}

30 Apr 2015 09:14:08
Have a friend who's a friend of David Sullivan's son, the West Ham owner (great source, I know) supposedly Rodgers' agent is already in talks with West Ham as he knows he's being replaced at the end of the season. I know it's vague and any sane person will write it off as rubbish, just passing on what I've heard.

Rodgers doesn't have an agent, it's widely known he conducts his own business i.e contracts etc. So someone is winding you up.

i don't believe rodgers has an agent,he had a pfa rep help him negotiate his contracts as far as i know. if true then that's an unbelievable story plus i can't see rodgers running,he needs to show character

Ed s reds rray Houghton ex lfc said yesterday that brendan is under enormous pressure would you agree? Or is he safe?

Believable9 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - am I going to have to keep saying the same thing over and over? Cam you not just read back through, Rodgers has been under pressure since our bad start, nothing has changed.}

30 Apr 2015 07:47:57
Goodmorning Eds, one journo on Anfieldwrap(AndyHeaton) tweeted that there was a crisis meeting among the board, and that he expect heads to role. Is it true? and who do you expect to get his matching order?
Thanks.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - haven't Ed002 and myself been saying all along there are likely to be changes? This is not news, this is just someone spinning what is already going on.}
