im very good friends with someone at licerpool fc, they said liverpool are currently in talks with a massive named player but he wouldnt tell me who it was.

i said to him is it villa or kaka and he said its none of them but someone from the german league. the reason he couldnt tell me was because liverpool football club want to discuss player names privately.

with that being said i would say maybe robben or muller.....just guessing to be honest. dont shoot the messenger to all the NEGATIVE boys out there with there gum shields in.

lfc4lifeman

Wouldnt mind some youngster like Alaba pr Gondugon if there is the option of a permanent move with a decent fee

Hope its gotze

If its Muller I will not say I told you so I will just say "See posting names of players on a rumours website fully believing it against all of the supporting evidence is totally the way to go and always works out".

Coley

Rather Gotze, but that will never happen :-(

Jan Venegoor of Hesselink is the big name player.

Hi eds is there any chance of us going for Moussa Dembélé? think he would be better signing than Dempsey! {Ed001's Note - not going to happen.}

30 Jul 2012 20:36:27
Higuiain on loan apparently but can't see it myself.

LFCgreg

Why is this site full of fakes? {Ed049's Note - because it's a rumor site}

My mate who travelled to boston asked agger if he was staying to which he replied 'hopefully' so let's hope!

although losing either of our cb partnership isn't ideal i see skrtel as far easier to replace than agger so lets hope city (or whoever) go for the wrong choice and opt for skrtel who is no doubt a good tackler but on the ball is uneasy

wobbleB

AGGER said "hopefully" didnt he say last month he was goinh to stay and cant wait for the new season either its 75% hes going or 75% hes not so lets just pray its not the first option

Well he was hardly going to say "no pal im leaving next week"

red ste

I was just wondering what skrtel u are watching? "uneasy on the ball" skrtel last season was immense on the ball, his touch, control, passing...the best he's been and will only improve further, martin skrtel would not be easily replaced in any shape or form. rant over

LFC will bring three more players to the club in the next week. Demspey (Fulham) for 9 million, Joe Allen (Swansea) 14 million and one player on loan. The on loan player will come from Real Madrid and will depend on them capturing RVP. My understanding is the player will be Kaka.
Aqualani will leave for a cut price 10 million this week. Sterling may be loaned out depending on the success of the above targets.

Cut price 10mil that's above price Worth nowhere near that!
John

Correct me if I'm wrong but has it not already been clarified Sterling cant go on loan until he is 18 yrs old (january), which makes me wonder about the legitimacy of this post? {Ed007's Note - You're right mate.}

So in other words thats your conclusion...aquilani for 10m? dream on and sterling isnt old enough to be sent out on loan....besides the fact hes played better than adam, spearing and downing have in a couple of pre season games than they have all season

A cut price £10 million? We should be so lucky as to get £10 million! And when will you guys realise Stirling can't go on loan until January 2013!

£10 for Aquilani? Really, that's a but optimistic. And why does everyone want us to sign the £56M flop that is Kaka?

Rob

10 mill for aqua man have a day off fella! More like 5 if we are lucky
LeeWils

Was making some sense up until Aquilani sold for £10 million. Would be lucky to get £5 million with his on going saga and 2 yrs remaining.

£10m for Aquilani

We can't give him away!

£10m cut price? Are you dreaming man !

So we are signing 3 central midfielders? with carrol going and maybe bellamy, i woul dof thought a striker/winger would of been on that list

Nearly believable until you mentioned 10m for aqualani. Cant see anybody paying that amount.

Are we mad paying £14 million for Allen, has Comolli returned to the club, way over pricee. Even at the stupid prices paid these day he is only worth maybe £8 mil

Same goes for Dempsey wort about £6/7mil at most

A 'cut price' £10 million?! Surely you mean an inflated £10 million! We'd be lucky if we get £5 million for Aquilani, and we're gonna get stung in exactly the same way if we loan out Carroll

10 million for Cackquilani? What's that malteasers or m&m's? Even in euro's it's too much.

Anyway whatever the currency is I don't care so long as he goes.

I find it hard to get excited about Kaka, classy and still has something but I don't think a move to england would work. Milan sounds like a more likely move anyway.

I'd wet my pants if it were Higuain

10 million cut price?!?!?!
Would be happy just to get rid, his wage alone would cover two players wages

All souned promising until the 'cut price' for Aquilani - i'm sure many people would consider it a great success to recoup 10m for the player!

Kaka to Liverpool haha your an absolute fool.
Dempsey won't bought untill his asking price is lowered.
Allen won't be signing while gb are still playing a part in that thing that's going on in London.

Kaka ain't coming we will not get 10mil for aqua and sterling can't go on loan he's not 18 yet

AQUALANI- cut price 10milion! ,we wont get half of that

Sorry mate Sterling can't be loaned out until he's 18 and Allen will still be at the Olympics ? try again !

You know, I love reading these posts, trying to pick out the odd one that may be right! Thought yours was a possibility as I started reading.... then realise what tosh it is when you say "Aquilani for cut price 10mil"! We couldnt sell for 5 mil, let alone a cut price 10 mil! And as Eds have stated numerous times,Sterling CANNOT go out on loan at his age. Please entice me next time with a bit more realism! :o)

Ha ha ha ha - cut price 10 million 10 million what skittles?

Oh I forgot, Aquilani cut price at 10m ? What planet are you on - we'll be lucky to get 4m !

Don't talk rubbish sterling can't go on loan as he is not 18!

Sterlings to young to go out on loan isn't he?

Siggle

'Aqualani will leave for a cut price 10 million this week'

You do realise the Italian currency is no longer the Lira?

JRG

Was laughing at KAKA then crying laughing at cut price 10 million, i guess your here all week lol

Everybody would like it to be kaka, but it's not going to happen. As for 10M for aquilani, maybe if the currency was Yen {Ed001's Note - speak for yourself, I would hate Kaka to join.}

Sterling cant be loaned out hw many times

Why would RVP effect Kaka? If anything it'd be a striker (Higuain?)

You was going well until you suggested Aquillani going for a cut price 10 million ?

You talk more s*** than caught offside.

10 million sounds like about twice as much as Aqua will fetch but I'd be ok with it.

Cut price? That's daylight robbery for such a s*** player.

So thanks for summing up what we already know, also thanks for proving you dont know anything since sterling cant go on loan.

10 mil in your dreams!
less than half that plus we have to pay part of his last two years contract out

Again, as with phising emails, there is always some detail that gives away made-up rumours. Here, as has been pointed out, there are two. Passing on what you have heard and sound plausible is what this website is about. Maing up any old rubbish is something different.

Dont know why them loaning out a midfielder depends on if they can get a striker

Yeah his bday's on the 8th of december so there's an option of a loan anytime after that {Ed001's Note - he can be loaned from January onwards.}

I thought that swansea wanted no less than 15mil?, i think this post is BS

30 Jul 2012 19:25:01
Just seen a report on BBC football by Ian Dennis (?) that Carroll is going to West Ham on loan for 2 million with an agreement to pay 17 million at end of season providing West Ham stay up..is this true Eds?

Back to the future!

Paul the red

West ham deny this

Sky sports say west ham deny making any deal

Since Rogers has consistently said "No loan for Carrol" I'd treat this report with a lot of suspicion!

Not this again, we gotta keep the big guy

West ham have stated its not true ,plus how many times andy carrol has said the only team he would consider if he had to go would be a team with European cups to play for I.E newcastle

On sly sports they're saying that west ham have distanced themselves from the deal as BR appears to have given AC a chance.

According to Sly Sports, WHUFC have distanced themselves from the report. Think it would be daft to let him go

If that is true it's utter madness. Lose an international striker and gain no money to replace him. It would seriously knock my faith in the people supposedly looking after the best interests of the club. Someone please tell me I've missed an important point here and we're not really being shafted. Again.

I've just read that but a comment from someone who claims to be from the BBC says that there have been no deals agreed for Carroll or aquilani. Not sure if that is real or not though.

I thought that BR said he was not lOoking to loan Carroll :/

Think ur find mate its the oppasite its says reports denied that he wont b goin g to west ham !!1 theres 1 thing making rumours up all the time ,2, atleast the rumours that r being sed u could read propally lol
lucas maximus

It's not true

Carroll - BBC say deal agreed. Sky say no deal.

Aquilani - BBC say deal agreed. Sky say no deal.

Make up your own mind ;-)

Dawkins

On skysports west ham deny any deal has been made

To be honest, I trust the BBC more than Sly Sports. Sly probly just want more people to bet on Andy or Aquilani staying

30 Jul 2012 19:12:30
Clint Dempsey deal will be more clear tomorrow, with him moving to Liverpool, not sure of fee... Deal won't be complete tomorrow, but will be done in next 3 days

Thanks, Nebelie.

30 Jul 2012 19:08:44
Agger to real madrid.. Skrtel will stay, Shelvey on loan god knows where.. Im thinking about this big loan move, I could see it been Dzeko until January.. mayybe even Balotelli I think this could be almost certain one of them two.. but none of us really know do we.. but if i had to choose id go for balotelli, top player and him suarez and borini would tear defences apart

You are either drinking or smoking the wrong stuff mate. Get a grip.

No offense but use your brain. Man City is not going to contribute any threat to a top 4 spot by giving competitors top talent. Especially one they use in rotation.

Think about mate, balotelli will not be moving to lfc and i very much doubt that dzeko will either

BR has got amazing connections with mourinho so its more likely gonna be kaka or higuain

Why would Man City give us Balotelli?

Rob

Balotelli? Yeah and lets add Joey Barton too.We really need a lot more bad publicity about our players!

City gave Spurs adebayor who were challenging for the title half the season?

Rodgers isnt going to get rid of Carroll to get Dzeko and i really cant see City loaning out Balotelli

For what reason would Ballotelli move to LFC,even for a short loan spell? I would say he has a lot more going for him at Man City. I think this rumor is going nowhere.

Redbill 16

30 Jul 2012 18:58:12
The bid for Agger from Man City will fail as he does not want to leave, contrary to the BS that the Mirror spouts, he is apparently happy...now Skrtl is a different case, expect him to go, but we will hold out for nearly £20m...

I'd rather sell Skrtel than Agger. Skrtel would be easier to replace. Agger is probably one of the best ball playing centre backs in the world.

Kev.

Sorry dude but Agger wants to go..

Funny half the rumour posters say Agger's happy but Skrtel wants to go and the other half say the opposite.Come on guys get your act together because you all claim to have the inside track and both sides can't be right!

Thats a crackin rumour mate had me in stitches...anyway hope all is good in la..la..land

Clint Dempsey has pulled out of Fulham's pre-season training camp in Switzerland to try and force through a move to Liverpool, can reveal.

Dempsey was not on the plane that left London on Monday morning after telling manager Martin Jol last Friday that he did not want to take part in the week-long trip.

It is understood the player and the manager had a heated debate at the training ground but Jol reluctantly accepted Dempsey's demand and the attacking midfielder was left behind to train with the youngsters in London as the first-team squad flew overseas on Monday.

Fulham will spend the week in Switzerland ahead of a friendly in neighboring France against Nice on

IF true! You are welcome to him.

Surly a player can't just pull out of a training camp without facing penaltys.

They are contracted to play with the team.

Rob

Straight from ! I like!

I hope he's not coming , paying 6million for a pile of s***e , haven't we learnt our lesson on one trick ponies , one good season doesn't mean he's Liverpool quality , no affence to Fulham in that respect either. If I'm being honest I would like Alex Kacaniklic back , Hodgson did that deliberate

30 Jul 2012 18:38:18
Clint Dempsey refuses to go on tour with fulham and is training with the youth team to force a move to Liverpool

Rasmus Elm off to CSKA Moscow. Waiting for the gloom and doom from those petulant fans on another one we missed out on.

To a real rumour. Liverpool's Amorebieta interest is about to result in a bid. The club realize that Agger and/or Skrtel are likely to leave during the window and don't want to wait until the last minute to get a replacement in. Been told a bid will be made within the week.

American Red

Hard to understand this, if we sign him and the others stay I can't see him as better than 4th choice unless he gets in Coates way which would be a shame.
CR

I have been told more or less the exact same from a source in Spain, interest was registered ages ago for the player.
Agger to leave, Skrts to stay. Unfortunately

ElRoja

Doom and gloom perhaps we just want to do better than last season .

mal..

Petulant is just how your first sentence sounds.

Even if Agger and Skertle stay (which I believe they will) we need additional cover as Agger is quite injury prone, Carragher is not the young guy we have come to love and Coates needs experience...

Let agger go! Amorbeita is not a better CB though so I would prefer someone else. Perhaps SKlaer or maybe Albiol.

Rasmus elm is anything but class judging from last season at Ajax and looked even worse At the euros. Good riddance.

Red American

Ramus elm is w*nk anyway nowhere near lfc standard

Point of the post was to be petulant. Of course we want to do better than last year isn't that always the aim? Can't see any players we've been legitimately in for that have gone elsewhere that would have really improve the squad dramatically. Sigs would have added depth and the rest have been a fantasy dreamt up by fans or simply were never good enough in the first place. I for one have a frm grip on reality unlike some. I stand by my source and by my other statements as well.

Hey ed's im excited as much as everyone else and i have sources(not a friends of a friends...)real sources that the major star is david villa on half a season loan not a full one so he can gain fitness and be a goal scoring machine

LFC POWER

Wow that must be the dumbest thing I've read

Can't see LFC doing any deal for 6 months. Doesn't make sense. If there is a loan deal I would suspect it would 12 months plus some sort of fee to buy if we wanted at the end of the term. I would believe it to be a real madrid player rather than barca. Just my opinion though.

Jordan

Oh how the mighty have fallen! So you are taking a player on half a season loan to up his fitness!? Did Liverpool not use to be a big club?

That's not much use to us, unless we're buying him outright after the loan or we buy someone in January

What planet u from were a club not a rehabillitation unit kennys got a villa at la manga maybe hes bringin that over

I will have to say if Villa is truely who we are pursuing I am going to be disapointed. Why waste time on a loan move on a aging player when Rogers should be focusing on bringing in permanent cogs to his philosophy?

Who cares if it is to help his fitness as to be honest if he returns to the player he was before his injury then 6 months will be enough for us to be fighting for CL place.6 months of a World class player would help our youngsters and generally improve the team

I originally wrote something that revealed my source, but the ed's had edited it out.

IKanITK.

Chevrolet have become the Mancs main sponsor. Interesting as they become one of our official sponsors last week too.

Interesting.

Kez

Chevrolet are just our vehicle sponsor, and they were already the man utd vehicle sponsor as well. Now theyve become man utd's shirt sponsor. Not really a big deal.
Its no different to two teams having the same shirt supplier, or boot supplier.

however, i think its fair to say the timing of the two announcements wont sit very well with liverpool or utd fans :D

It doesn't start until 2014-15 for the Manx I think
Handy Carroll

Yeah I know how weird...

You beat me to the punch Kez ... I can't believe for a minute our owners weren't aware that Chevrolet were in talks with the Mancs re sponsorship (shirt sposnors).

You would have to imagine that Chevrolet's investment in the Manc's is far greater then it is with us, and whilst money/investment is money after all, as a negotiator, it would not have sat easy with me that a company was willing to invest money with Liverpool knowing that a few days later they were going to anounce a major sponsorship deal with our rivals and competition.

Maybe things are done differently in America?

What i don't understand is - Why are people clicking the unbelievable button?......who the heck are these people? haha

Pleased its been announced i never thought of getting a chevvy then last week thought maybe a chevvy cruze now they are off the list ..

mal...

If you think our owners care who is sponsoring us you must be high. Money is money... there's no harm in a company getting involved in a sport and wanting to get their name associated with two top teams, rivals or not.

It's not even a large scale sponsorship anyway and haven't celtic and rangers shared sponsors on several occasions.

In summary: who cares
Postscript: their cars aren't very good

Celtic and rangers had the same sponsor before cr smith i think if they can do it anybody can.Tommy Irish Red.

People may laugh but according to Reuters the seven year deal is worth $600 million. If true that's £55m a season, not bad seems our current deal with AON and your current deal with Standard Chartered is worth £20m a season. I hate to think what our next Nike deal will be worth ;)

Disney!

30 Jul 2012 15:53:10
The mystery loan player is Joey Barton!! You heard it here first!!!

He is banned for 12 games, so coming to Liverpool to sit on the sidelines? Really? Come on son, get your head out of the sand!..

Don't know where you got your info, but it's Patrice Evra!!
DeV

Pity some off u didnt have better things to do than make this crap up

Probably sniffing glue, but IF this eventuates then I will cut all ties with Liverpool and completely stop supporting the team I have loyaly done so for 40 years!

I know things aren't totally rosy on the pitch and with the squad, but Joey Barton?? if this is the level we can expect then our club is in dire straits!

Pitty some people don't have a sense of humour.

I guess i can put my money on that, it sounds like your sources are strong so i trust you, it will be nice to have a huge person in the team

I heard it here first but I'll still be laughing tomorrow!

I count 4 fish right there. Personally I thought it was hilarious.

TSP

Posted by joey Barton himself

Brilliant post, mate. You certainly had a few taking the bait!!

Lighten up guys, someones takin the pi*s me thinks

Ha ha rumour(joke) of the day... If only the dimwits got it

After all the other people we've been linked to this is the first good one I've seen all summer.

Good Banter

He should be banned from football the person. BR willsuffer if he brings Barton to Liverpool

Lol mate! nice 1.

It was clearly a joke, I smiled when T read it haha..

Are you having a laugh we need football players not hooligans

30 Jul 2012 15:28:24
Gaston Ramirez to move to Man City.
Adam Johnson to move on loan to Liverpool.

I hope you're right mate.

No

LFCHero ;)!

We now loan players from man city, sad sad day

I also have a suspicion that it could be Adam Johnson.

CSE9

Well since 3 or 4 clubs have tried to take Andy Carroll on loan I can't see any reason why we shouldn't take a player on loan also.Quite a few posters are turned on at the prospect of us getting David Villa on loan and he hasn't kicked a ball for bloody months.

I don't know that I would classify Johnson as a 'star', but this does seem feasible.

Adam johnson isn't a major star.

30 Jul 2012 14:33:39
Reliable sources tell me that di maria will be coming to liverpool on a year loan deal. once modric signs for real madrid, madrid will then form a 4-4-3 formation and will sign cavani, pushing benzema to play oput wide and force di maria to a loan with us. had to explian that so our so called fans see where im going with this.

the one and only...

Mitch {Ed006's Note - 4-4-3 thats a bit unfair.}

Our so called fans, tut.. We are so inconsiderate, where exactly are you going with this one? Hopefully to the bathroom to brush your teeth from all the bulls***.

No goalkeeper?

Esbee

Haha like it

No Goalie. Risky!!

No keeper, just 11 outfield players! ;)

They must be trying a new formation no keeper

Jamesy

In addition to having more money than most clubs for transfers and wages; Real have now bought off Blatter for the right to play an extra man.

My God!! It's bad enough trying to figure the good from the bad, but when someone does not even know the basis of a formation they lose all credibility before you have even finished reading the post. You want banning Mitch lad!!! GP29

Great news for their opposition. An open goal every game!

Wow first Spain don't play with a recognised striker and now Real Madrid arnt using a goal keeper!

Talk about fantasist`s "reliable source" or My m8s dad is groundkeeper"

Simple. No Goalkeeper!!

Lol madrid wil play wid 12 playas lol lol

Hi mourinho..i like your new tactical form....4-4-3....without a keeper.....new record!

-warhead

Surely even Madrid don't have enough money to buy an extra place on the team

At least our so called fans know how many players are on a football pitch

Better luck next time

Merka

Ed don't be so obtuse, everyone knows the only way we can challenge for the title is to play with 12 men. That was the central part of Brendan Rogers' 180 page manifesto he turned in to the owners.

Love the condescending tone, followed by the brutal realisation that you actually don't know what you're on about...

Come on people, dont you notice that he is meaning 4-3-3 with the 4th extra man in midfield being either Mr.Mourinho or the Referee!!...lol

Erm can whoever keeps posting as Mitch refrain from doing so. I post as Mitch and I have no info on loan signing. As stated in previous posts Raston Ramirez will join LFC

Not no keeper "Rush Goalies " It's the latest thing all the top teams are going to be adopting this formation .

To all the people saying no goalkeeper you are wrong, we never mention keepers when we set out formations. I can tell you he means 11 outfield players.... Just like how Ferguson plays when Howard Webb is available ;)

Raston ramirez ,gaston's brother or dog

Casillas' playing days are numbered.
the wise one

Lol good reply like it

Great news for Real.........Mourinho has enough players to park TWO buses when he plays barcelona!!!

Why is 4-4-3 unfair, did you never play with rush goalies at school ed006

{Ed006's Note - never played 11 a side at school mate. 4-4-3 would mean 12 players on the pitch.}

The one and only .........tit lol

30 Jul 2012 14:29:04
Am I the only one who thinks the star we are getting on loan is guissepi Rossi. He's coming of an injury and wants out of villereal since they have been relegated but there has been no buyers. Seems logical choice given that he is too much of a risk to buy outright now but a loan could give him chance to get back to fitness and if he impresses and villereal fail to gain promotion we could get him on cheap this time with nominal risk.
Great site btw

Stewy93

Yes you are the only one thinking this! The guy sustained another knee ligament injury months back and we available to play until the new year if at all!! But this info is only months old, you were hardly to know!

He's still out injured for another 3 months so it would be a bit stupid for us to sign him..!

Yes you are the only one!

Paul the red

Yeaaaah he's out for 6 months -_-

Zero

Man, enough with this Rossi stuff. He's out then entire 2012-2013 season and there is a chance He'll never be able to play football again. He didn't have a run of the mill ACL tear. He has to have surgery, rehab for 6 months, the have surgery again only to start rehab all over. He'll be out a minimum of 12 months.

Unlikely, he got injured again towards the end of last season and is ruled out until next year apparently

I wouldn't Rossi a star player by no means.

He might be out injured but we did it with carroll and aquilani

30 Jul 2012 14:50:28
Aquilani out to Fiorentina
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19043308

We know, thanks though.

I will believe it when I see it on LFC or Fiorentina web site.

30 Jul 2012 14:37:56
The loan I believe is sahin from Madrid
Evz

Sahin would fit the mould nicely. MarkB.

30 Jul 2012 14:28:13
Hi have been told that the major star Macca referred to is Kaka. It sounds unlikely but Real would supplement his salary while on loan.
Gobsie

No sources but I think that Kaka is possible especially if the Modric deal goes through.

RAH, YNWA

30 Jul 2012 14:06:19
GANSO! (major loan)

Santos do not want to keep GANSO because he spent most of his time there injured.

Arsenal and Tottenham made inquiries but GANSO does not want to leave Santos yet.

GANSO and Santos are disillusioned (spelling) with the current situation which is complex so GANSO may be loaned to Liverpool to regain confidence and fitness.

GANSO is a quality playmaker who needs plenty of game time.

What's he called again?

JP.

That is a major long shot.

Could you clarify the players name again?

sjb76

30 Jul 2012 14:05:29
emile heskey is the super star loan signing! you heard it here first!

{Ed006's Note - If only this was true, sadly for us, you cannot loan free agents.}

Haha made my day!

Esbee

Nice reply Ed..

Why would you get our hopes up like this?

We'll get him on loan off the brew

What planet are you one get a grip

Please! It took me years in therapy to get over the thought of the useless musclebound Heskey in a Reds jersey and now somebody dredges up his name again!

You can do what you want ed when its emile muther heskey :D

Would do better than Carrol, at least Heskey has a heart of gold and would at least bang in more goals than any of our midfield and current strikers apart from Suarez

30 Jul 2012 13:58:49
Ed do you think this big star possibley coming in on loan will be part of a one year deal or a year with an option to buy. So basically the parent clubs way of providing match time and regular appearances or the first steps of offloading the player?

{Ed006's Note - I have no idea, I am as exited as the rest of us.}

Exited ? does that mean you are out of it ?

30 Jul 2012 13:50:47
very excited about the loan signing rumour. If the squad can adapt to Rodgers style quickly, a world class addition to the squad will definitely put us in the mix for a top four.

borini, carroll/villa?, suarez

Allen/kaka? Gerrard

Lucas

enrique agger? skrtel? johnson

Reina

no reason why this line up couldn't push for top four.

The loan star signing will be.....Pato or Messi cos we're LFC

This very worrying. Everyone on here getting exciting about us getting a star player on loan. We are Liverpool, it is the owners responsibility to buy the very best. If FSG don't want success they are going the right way about it.

A tad arguable that we could challenge for top 4 with this team considering there's 4 question marks in the starting XI though.

JP.

There is more than 1 reason why that line up can't push for the top 4.We haven't got either Villa or Kaka on loan and haven't bought Allen.

Oh and if you mean Adam Johnson in your line up we haven't signed him either!

30 Jul 2012 21:06:23
This is the starting XI if all rumours are true: I think it will be:
Reina

Johnson, Amorebieta, Agger, Enrique

Gerrard, Allen, Lucas

Suarez, Borini, * player

The standard of Kaka and Villa is a bit higher than that of Allen and Carroll...

Arjen Robben could be the loan star. Especially with all the drama surrounding him at bayern munich + the arrival of shaqiri.

Calling Robben a "Star" is a bit generous.
And besides, he only signed a new long term deal with Bayern in May. Why on earth would they be loaning him out to us?

No thank you. I get the feeling he and Suarez wouldn't get a long too well.

Robben is a left winger shaqiri is a right winger

I think you will find robben plays on the right mate

Reading through the posts of the names suggested as the possible star loan signing got me thinking that trying to get a couple of these players on a season long loan would be a good strategy in this transfer window.

If reports are to believed we don't have a massive transfer budget this summer. Most of the players named from Real Madrid, Barcelona and Man City would start for us and are currently not likely to get much game time at their current club for a variety of reasons and hence some of them may be available for loan. Some of these players would likely be out of our reach to buy at the moment and pay the wages which they are currently on. However there is a good chance that their wages could be subsidised by their current club.

Bringing in a few of these players in the key areas which we need to strengthen ie another midfielder and 2 forwards for the likely 4-3-3 formation that we will probably play would give us a real chance of a top 4 finish. This in turn would give us a better chance to potentially sign some of these players permanently next summer or other players of similar quality once champions league football is on offer. This would also give us a chance to see how the players would settle into our team before having to pay a large transfer fee and the owners would probably be more likely to sanction larger transfers if they had seen the player performing well for Liverpool already.

If the loan deals didn't turn out to be successful then the players would go back to their clubs at the end of the year and there would be no real loss for us, only the wages which would be balanced by a few exits from the club. The last couple of high profile loan deals into our club that i can remember were Mascherano and Anelka which were relatively successful even though Houllier didn't end up signing Anelka.

I know it's not likely that we will sign more than 1 player on loan but if we could sign 1 player on loan from each of those clubs then i think we would have a very competitive team next year.

LW

The major star that is signing on loan is Nuri Sahin!!! Cheers YNWA
The Bear

Yes, Nuri Sahin that well known star who played for games last year. Seriously, a star is someone that at least 50% of fans might have actually heard of

Hey eds, some sources are suggesting the Gaston Ramirez deal is almost complete? How true is this? (Sounds almost too good to be true)
Akhan

{Ed006's Note - I hope it is true, I haven't heard anything about him regarding a move to LFC in a while though. I have been watching him in Olympics and he looks decent. Lets hope it happens.}

All this talk about G.Ramierz is all bull. not just about him coming but about being how good he is. youtube makes players out 2 be superheroes

Liverpool have bid 18.5m for Mesut Ozil and the offer is being seriously considered by Real Madrid. The player is open to move and will almost double his salary also. There has been contact between clubs regarding players from both clubs. Real have registered their interest in Suarez and Agger and Liverpool likewise have an interest in a couple of Real players.

Tosh. We are seriously considering Allen for 15mil and Real Madrid looking to consider 18.5? I don't think so. Not to mention no way we offer a salary double what he is makign now.

In our wildest dreams.A great rumour tho!

Im a lfc fan and even though that would. Be incredible, I sadly don't think it's gonna happen

Absolute balderdash

SuperDuperSuarez

Ozil is a boyhood LFC fan so it may not be as mad as it sounds, especially if Suarez and Agger are going the other way!

Liverpool will "almost double his REAL MADRID wages" Intresting, he must be on 45K a week for that to happen.

Mesut Ozil is on $146K per week, we will not be doubling that!

Heard a rumour a while back when Rodgers was appointed that we'd be taking Kaka on loan due to his ties with Mourinho. This came from a friend who seems to hear of things before they're announced. Since Macca's update of a "star" loan deal, this seems to tie up with what I was told. Although, the educated guess work on here makes the prospect of David Villa coming sound plausable. Especially when I remember hearing of Rodgers being invited to spend some time there recently... Anyway, whoever it is, I hope it genuinely is a "star" as we haven't really signed anyone so established since I can remember. We're used to making stars who eventually leave.

Great site eds

BedHeadProperRed

I reckon it's going to be Paul Konchesky

Dats a total spoof

SO your boss tells you i want you to move to iceland to work for one of my mates on exactly the same wages, and i only want you to do this because im mates with the boss and your not. Would you honestly go?

I hope this is true. To the guy with the "boss" analogy, I really dont think he would have to do anything he didnt wanna do. But that guy has never settled in Madrid from the looks of things. Who knows, he may be good mates with Lucas or something. Lets just cross our fingers :-)

Come on mate this isnt iceland this is not just a great football club but an absolutley brilliant city with some of the best people you could meet

This is what i heared a few weeks ago. The star player is David Villa.....like I first posted it on the 20th. Before Macca had said anything. An hardly anybody believed me. Although it has become news to me it's a loan and not an outright purchase which I was told it would be. This will all come to fruition if/when Carroll is sold.

Heared a rumour but not quite sure how true it is....this came from a fella i know who is a friend of someone within the club, thats all i'll say. He heared that if we were to get close to 20m for Carroll we would then use that money to finance a move for David Villa. His good mate Pepe Reina has been pushing for him to join him at Liverpool for some time and apparently we would be able to get Villa for a cut price of around the same price. His wages would have to drop considerably, but he is open to the move I am told. Like I say, this is only if Carroll is sold for close to 20m.
IKanITK.

Hi, please spell heard correctly it is driving me insane.

Villa is class but he's 30 and just getting over a major injury. Not for us!

Maybe RB wants world class Villa to help Morgan come through as they are dead ringers.

30 isn't that old.

Their is know kneed too pick sum one up on there speling is their? Maybee the person has'nt had an edjucation as gud as yours' or woz just tiping fassed. Tw4t.

Its Kaka you bunch of plumbs,

30 Jul 2012 13:14:55
Ok so you posted it before Macca! And now you are posting as if to say you were right.
Nothing has happened yet mate, at least wait till it does happen before you start bragging. Thats if it does happen, coz you will look a right **** if it doesn't happen now!

Red Lee

I don't see it being David Villa or Kaka. Both have had injury problems recently & are on huge wages. Neither player is what they were 2-3 years ago, especially Kaka.

I've seen a couple saying Villa can regain match fitness at LFC, but since when have LFC been a club that does such a favour to another club?

RedSG

The player we are looking to loan is kaka can Macca confirm this please otherwise I will be slated

Nick from birmingham

He won't be joining us. He was the one who kept telling Torres to leave us and join Chelsea! He clearly doesn't like us as a club

You have the right club but the wrong player - the loanee is Ibrahim Afellay .

30 Jul 2012 14:22:58
why we should do favours is because it benifits us just as much as barca, hes 30 getting over a major injury we get the chance to have a world class striker for a year atleast, which helps the kids and gives us player familiar with tika-taka football, and in return barca get him off the books for a year if he doesnt recover and puts a few million on his price tag if he does.

I for one would say its a good bit of business from Liverpool for once. Anelka was similar and i think more people would be excited at the prospect if it wasnt for the failing of Gerrard not signing him

And finially the club need money and exposure lets face it theres alot of kids that would love a Liverpool shirt with Villa 9 on the back

Why not a top earner on loan afterall there club has to pay there wages even if they sit on there bench,so it makes sense to lon out & get fit with another club, you dont get fit if you play.

The reason we might get a major star on loan would probably be because of recent injuries, that is the only resonable explanation for the loan. It's not like Madrid out of the kindness of there heart will let us borrow Ronaldo for a year.
Andrew

As far as spelling goes, save it no interested in anal people. With the loan, if it falls through it is because of the Carroll situation. I'm not fussed if it falls through and I look like a tool. Alls I'm doing is passing on some information that i have recieved from someone within the club. I could be more specific but the ed's keep editing it out.

IKanITK.

Rumours in spain say the big star going on loan to Liverpool for the season is David Villa. Barcalona want to see how he recovers from his injury!

The red amigo!

I heard the same thing.

Seems unlikely tho surely !

Big friends with peep reina {Ed049's Note - who is peep reina?}

I think it could be adebayor

He is too old for Barca to "see how he recovers" It would be a waste of a prime year. He will either play for Barca or be sold.

Absolute TOSH!

More I think about it more likley it is, they pretty much did well withotu him all season, he isn't a spring chicken so maybe they fell they don't need him or can't afford to give him game time during a recorvery so makes sense to send him on loan to a non rival to aid his recovery {Ed049's Note - Didn't you see how much they missed him during the 2nd leg of CL semi-final against Chelsea?}

I must admit this is what i have heard im currentlt abroad in tenerife and was just talking to local in shop about what team i support and that not diing so well and u said we could be doing with player like villa n he saud he moght go on loan to another spainish team so i he most likely will go on loan as barca wont get permanent fee because of injury

Did you not see how well Carrol did against terry? is this really where we are now? he will be 31 and not played for a year. It's beginning to look like we will loseing some of our best players to. its not looking good to be honest. Cant afford to buy the best or hold on to our best. I hope this changes soon, as it will start to affect the global support, and then sponsorship.

Please be true!!

Utter garbage!

Please tell me mate who these "best players" of ours that we can't hang onto are? So far the only first team squad players to leave us are Kuyt and Maxi [ both players coming to the end of their careers ] all the others are just RUMOURS! No-one else has left us as yet and I doubt many if any of them will.

I heard RVP is going to barcalona which will then allow David villa to go out on loan, then option to buy! Villa has 2 years remaining on his contract with Barcalona!

I think it makes sense on both parts, LFC need a player who can help us challenge for top 4, not only gaining us CL football, but so we can attract a more permanent top class striker. Even if Barca want to offload, considering Villa has been out for the most part of the season, they won't get much for him this window. However if he can gain his form at another club which does not rival Barca, they can sell him for more next summer, or take him back much fitter. I hope it is Villa, would put us in a superb position next season

I heard they, are looking at Kaka or Surhin

Not sure how believable this is...but he would be the exact player we need

Alright Eds, I know the Daily Mirror is a rubbish source, but is there any truth to the rumours of a £13m bid from City for Agger, with Barca and Real interested? I really hope this is all speculation as I'd be gutted to see Agger leave!

JP. {Ed002's Note - There is truth in the interest - I don't know about a bid at that price.}

Mancini now hinting he could be after as many as 5 new players.
The team is now a lot further away from a title than when he was signed, and that does not look like changing for a couple of years at least. He could double his wages, and have a shot at the champions league. It's a no brainer. We know Reina is not happy and I suspect Skertle and Suarez will know that we are just not competetive for a title and it does not look like changing soon.
This is the problem the gunners have had, top players will not wait seasons for teams to turn around. Either pay big money or we have to put up with it.

£13m? Considering they paid £22m for Lescott £25m+ would be a more realistic and less offensive bid should it actually be more than a passing interest.

Would make sense with the interest in Amorebieta though wouldn't it - it'd just be a massive a shame as Agger has been a stalwart in defense, fingers crossed we can keep hold of him anyway on the premise of a complete upheaval of Liverpool's playing philosophy of recent years.

JP.

A fee in excess of 15m£ would be acceptable. Invest in a very good young CB at a much lower salary and LFC use rest of it to buy 1-2 very promising youngster.

We can only become succesful longterm by managing our money wisely.

In the end, I would prefer Agger to stay, but not at a premium cost.

We can only become successful long term if we keep our best players - it does not make footballing in sense to get rid of our best players and bring in players who are not as good. Bringing in youth is fine but youth cannot be solely relied on (see Arsenal) and Agger is a long way off being over the hill. If we let him go I think we are making a big mistake - he has been our best centre back for, what? 5 Years? He is also a ball playing defender so will fit in well with Rodgers philosophy, letting him go is a massive mistake in my opinion.

If we fail to keep our top players before this transfer window ends then we are in serious trouble - potentially Reina to leave, Carroll looks a certainty, Agger possibly, Skrtel possibly, Suarez possibly., This is the core of our squad for christs sake! We let these players go then we may as well throw the towel in with regards to Champions League football because it will be a million miles away. I hope things are not going to be so disruptive.

SMc

Not too concerned about Skrtel (over rated) going and I am open about Suarez (good player but doesn't score enough and "other" issues) but Agger is a top player. If moneybags City want him, £15m sounds very cheap. As someone stated above, £25m+ should be the minimum and then only if Agger hands in a transfer request.

30 Jul 2012 08:26:00
City ready to up there bid to £16m for AGGER,and he now wants the move to happen!

redman {Ed049's Note - I don't think Agger will be moving anywhere.}

Hope your right ed49, as BR is trying to build, and see's him as one of his kingpins.
redman

Did they not pay over 20m for lescott they would need to up there offer to 25m at least to allow us to get a replacement, hope it dosent happen as agger good passing from defence would be a starting point for rodgers style of play.Tommy Irish Red. {Ed002's Note - It has nothing whatsoever to do with what they paid for Lescott.}

Why would they pay less for a better player then.Tommy Irish Red.

Tommy,City are now in a better place from the days they signed players for mega bucks,City can now offer a real chance of prem glory and CL football, along with a huge wage. So they feel this is a big enough pull for most players to join them, without paying over the top on transfers. SAD BUT TRUE!
BR will try his best to keep AGGER,but he knows his buget is tight, and as he looks to bring in more players, to add his stamp and style to the club, this kind of cash will have his mind ticking!
redman

Redman, he wants the move to happen ? how would you know ? because its in a trashy paper ? get a grip, and £13m, £16m ? insulting

As I have said before, to many negative thinkers around here. Thank god they are not on the coaching staff.
CR

NAMELESS POSTER, a bid WAS made last week by CITY,and was turned down flat.So city are readying a new bid, WHY?
they now know AGGER will welcome a move, not for the cash, but for the CL football.City feel they now have the upper hand, and only need to find a big enough carrot to dangle in front of BR,for him to agree to the move.BR will try to keep AGGER,but every player will have a price!
How do i know this?like am going to tell you!!

redman

I remember Agger stating in an interview that he respects Liverpool and that he would not p-lay for another club in England. I hope he cannot be swayed by Citys allure. I've heard AC Milan have been looking at him to replace Thiago Silva, any interest from Milan at all?

SMc

Agger is looking for a much improved new contract, and is testing our owners to see is he can get more than 100k.

IF Agger really wants 100k+, then sell him for 15million £ and reinvest them into a young skilled CB 40-45k salary.

I agree that city are now a more attractive team to play for than they were, but this only means they dont have to offer extreme wages it dosent really effect the transfer value of the player as thats really between the clubs and every club knows that when city want something they will spend a massive amount on getting that player. I agree with redman that BR would accept at a certain price but he is not desperate to get rid so i tgink he will be holding out for alot bigger fee.

I m worried with the real intention of the owners. it appears that we are trying to sell all the good players and somehow survive in the PL. all the empty talks, high hopes the owners told us do not make any sense unless they show some ambition at least by keeping the better ones.

"up there" up where?

Oh yeah redman you're in the know but like you won't tell us how? I know the bloody secrets of the universe but I can't reveal them to you either! You're talking buckets of hot air lad!

It makes you wonder how so many unhappy players who want moves to other clubs are constantly photographed laughing and joking at training sessions.

Up their!! sorry for my poor english,am forever in your debt, and will never forget the day you saved me, from my ignorance!

redman

£15-£18mill plus Adam.johnson! :p

I'm sorry but, Tiago Silva a 27 yo Central Defender sold for £30m+, Agger has to be £20m+. Liverpool really need to show some strength on this one, with both club and player. We are not a selling club and don't need to sell, so,silly money or f.o. Should be the message.

30 Jul 2012 03:43:04
Shocking news pedro may be involved in a major bucks bid to Liverpool just before the end of the transfer window to replace Suarez if decides to leave! Personally I think that would be a good buy as he is a excellent player and the asking fee of Barcelona is in the region of around 25mil but we should snap him up for around 22mil if Suarez is to leave!

I would rather have susseta or munian my self

Suarez is a thousand times better player than Pedro will ever be. Pedro will definitely not be able to step in his shoes.

THE SUMON VAI

U in dreamland boyo

Are you serious, have you not seen pedro, the guy is fantastic.; Not this that this is happening anyway so pointless

You are having a laugh. He is overrated. He looks good in a great time

Slowpoke

So £25 mil for a bit part player from barca, your very good at wasting other peoples money fool !! Barca would gft wrap him and get messi to hand deliver him for that kind of money...... WAKE UP DREAMBOY

Another schoolboy wind up.

Go back to playıng FIFA dude.

mudux

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL wow some people on this site are so clueless it's untrue. Pedro a bit part player? overrated? he hadn't played as much as usual this time round because of an injury but when he is fit and available he ALWAYS play for Barca. If you're going to offer an opinion on a player at least try to make it an informed one.

"If Suarez decides to leave"
Because its all up to Suarez, hes free to come and go as he pleases?
Rubbish.

30 Jul 2012 03:05:52
hi eds is it true daniel agger wants to leave? {Ed002's Note - It is true that he is attracting some attention and I suspect there is a good chance he will leave and interest in Amorebieta will come to the fore.}

Well, fantastic. at this rate the entire first team squad will be leaving (Suarez, Agger, Carroll, Skrtel, Johnson, Bellamy), with Kuyt and Maxi already gone. the team are about to sell their most important player at the back (Agger) and their most important player in front (Suarez)? two players that would be PERFECT in Rodgers' system? wonderful.

Guys guys agger is not moving anywer I happen to no for a fact about this the big teams are hugely put off by his injury history also Suarez is staying with us so don't believe everythin you hear!..

So one ed says a good chance he could leave, and another saying he doesn't believe he will! {Ed049's Note - Yes , it's a matter of opinion.}

Just remember ED002 is a Chelsea fan though :) (No offence 02)

RobbehLFC.

If all the pre-season rumours are to be believed we will not have a senior player left by kick-off. Added to that we are apparently going to sell them off at a grossly undervalued rate. Shouldn't be too long before we are in the same boat as Portsmouth then - IF we believe the rumours.

30 Jul 2012 01:12:39
Ben Smith of the BBC saying that Aquilani is in Florence finalising a 7 million move to Fiorentina, which in turn paves the way for a move for Allen.

Also the mirror (I know, pinch of salt!!) reporting that Man city have offered £13 million for Agger with Barca and Real waiting in the wings.

Phatnek

13 mill for agger is a piss take i know where i would tell them to go

I wouldn't believe everything you see on twitter phatnek, with aggers injury history id let him go for 20mil and bring in a very decent replacement, phatnek what a silly name

£13 million? WOW! With a bit of hard work we can argue them down to £10 million or less.Drivel! Moderate players go for £12/13 million and the idea of us selling Agger that cheaply is tommyrot!

30 Jul 2012 00:48:36
Its official, liverpool are finally going to get aquilani off the books as we have accepted a bid from firontina. Source: BBC

Ed, do you think the star player possibly coming in on loan could be pato? {Ed002's Note - As I have said, I don't know what Macca meant by "star" but Pato is a player who will move from Milan at some point. Given his value it strikes me that a loan is not the most likely scenario.}

I would guess it to be kaka real Madrid want rid but just a guess hopefully mac a will tell us more soon

30 Jul 2012 00:13:04
