Hi Eds,

I noticed one of you said that Gomez was leaving Munich in the summer. Would there be any potential for him to be the replacement if suarez left, or even an addition if suarez stays?

If i'm correct we have tried to go for him a few times before (like before we brought carroll) so there has been interest from us.

Thanks

Jamie {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest from Liverpool but he would welcome a move to England.}

Sturridge, Gomez and Suarez would be an attack good enough to compete with United. Think I am being a little ambitious at the minute though!

Players of gomez and eriksen's calibre won't want to come here!

Only slightly better than carroll in my opinion.
Not mobile enough for brendans fluid football

Hey ed

In your opinion do you think eriksen and Williams will alive and is it true eriksen wants to go to spurs, finally if we get Williams won't we have a problem between him and Suarez?

Thanks and please answer

Rocky red {Ed001's Note - I do believe both are alive, yes! I don't believe there is much chance of either arriving.}

Eriksen is wanted and probably will sign. BR wants Williams because of his leadership which we seem to lack at the back but I can't see FSG spending on a player like that.

God forbid we get Williams. Did you see the state of him last night against Spurs on Match of the Day?

Ed, do you think Juve's preparing a verbal bid for Sanchez means they are backing away from Suarez?

If they are, would you say it was perhaps because they want to avoid a bidding war with Bayern- who they know could probably outbid them in the next window?

Or might it be that they believe, as LFC seem to believe Suarez will refuse a move away during the next window?

I understand if you don't want to get into discussions about Suarez because of all the abusers and persons, but I do find it odd that they've backed away from him as we approach the summer window, after such a long-held and open interest. {Ed002's Note - Juventus have all along had three players in mind for the position - they remain interested in Suarez and have not "backed away" at all. Certainly Bayern Munich could outbid Juventus should they wish, as no doubt could other clubs. It will be interesting if the new Manchester City manager shows any interest as well.}

If he's going to leave, at least let's be on the business end of a bidding war!
Bayern and City could throw out some ridiculous offers!
Although I would be livid/devastated if he goes to City, much rather he went to Bayern, maybe even if it meant taking a few million less!

I'm with you WB Dave. I wasn't too bothered with the sale of Torres to Chelsea as his form had seriously dipped long before he moved.

However, if we were to sell Suarez to City it would be sending out the wrong signals and clearly demonstrate that fact that as a club, we cannot compete on or off the field.

Really sorry to go off topic but I've seen a few posts now were ed 02 believes mancini is a gonner. have I missed something?lol! could it be the possible return of mouriniho to the prem? I understand its not Liverpool related but it is BIG in football terms any reply will be appriciated {Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you have missed Mikey, but I do indeed see Mancini as gone at the end of the season. It is nothing to do with Mourinho's return this summer. There are a number of options Manchester City have considered and approaches have been made regarding the availability of at least four managers that I am aware of.}

Who are these four manager ed? Pellegrini? De Boer? Koeman? Mourinho? Thanks {Ed002's Note - Pellegrini, Valverdi, Ancelotti, Frank de Boer}

Eds,
Need your opinion.

1)With Carra retired and Skrtel & Coates might be sold, is it possible Martin Kelly will play CB next season? Plus Rodgers will bring another experience CB to replace Carra. I think Kelly suit to play CB with his height, pace.

2)Is Rodgers rate Ryan McLaughlin? I think next season might be a gud season to promote him as backup RB.

3) Other than Christian Eriksen, who else LFC interested to buy for attacking mid/behind striker role player?

thanks Eds.
Znydz {Ed002's Note - (1) I would expect Kelly to be given the opportunity and one or, if Skrtel leaves, two centre backs to arrive. (2) Much is expected of Ryan McLaughlin but I am not sure what the plan will be for him next season. RB does not seem to be a position that the club have trouble covering. A loan perhaps? (3) With Coutinho and Suso already in place I am not so sure such a position is a priority.}

I completely agree Ed particularly with your last point and in addition to Suso and Coutinho you can add Shelvey to the list. I feel a DM or a RW are far greater priorities than a Number 10, although undoubtedly BR is looking at players who have the flexibility to play a variety of positions. I'm sure we are interested in Eriksen (would be foolish not to be), however if he signs I do think it could spell the end of Henderson's time at the club.

Ed002 is it true Juventus are in talks with Barca over Sanchez? {Ed002's Note - Barcelona has already spoken with Inter over their proposal and Juventus are being asked to provide a non-binding verbal offer for the player.}
