Eds fellow reds, ballache has said that Moreno has turned down Napoli and expects him to sign for Liverpool before World Cup .just passing on what I heard .

Believable60 Unbelievable6

Would have preferred Aspas being part of the deal instead of Suso, but got to say top signing really happy with this one.

Agree6 Disagree0

Not exactly. He said we are the highest bidders so far, Moreno has turned down Napoli in favour of us, and Sevilla expect to sell him before the World Cup (with no specification as to whom he is going to).

Is suso gone for good or just on loan?

there seems to be a lot of add ons with the lambert deal. I know you don't like talking money but there are some ridiculous rumours going round. one (crazily) says the fee rises to 35m if we win the CL or something like that, others say that the add ons and all this is also in aid of southampton not paying sell on fee. is it possible to clear this up?

Believable6 Unbelievable48

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing to clear up, it is very simple. But for the final time, if Liverpool are judged to have conspired to defraud Bournemouth then I would expect a hefty fine, a significant points deduction, a transfer ban and Everton to take their place in the Champions League. Sound like fun?}

Just my thoughts, but surely any club can pay whatever fee is agreed, with no qualms. I am in no way condoning cheating Bournemouth out of the money owed, but surely as long as there is no evidence of conspiracy there can be no punishment. Even if that meant paying signifacantly more than expected for Lambert to reduce the cost of Lallana, thus meaning Bournemouth recieve less.

I, of course do not believe the rumours and wouldn't agree with Liverpool acting in such a way, however unless there is any evidence of conspiracy to defraud Bournemouth then there can be punishment.

There is no way we would get away with that and neither would southampton. we should and will do things by the book. Its wrong if we try to rip off any other club like Bournemouth. No club would want to deal with us if we did that and like Ed002 says it would have serious implications for the club and rightly so.

Brilliant Ed002

Agree2 Disagree0

I really hope we're not doing that.

Agree0 Disagree0

It would surely be unbelievably stupid for both LFC and Southampton to try something like that.

The FA would take them to the cleaners.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leagally, the pure legal obligation to pay Bournemouth would be on Southampton, so wouldn't really have anything to do with Liverpool. HOWEVER, why would Southampton risk it all just to satisfy Liverpool when another club are likely to pay what they want. Just not practical.

Ed, why is the sell on clause related to Bournemouth? I though Lambert signed for Southampton from Bristol Rovers? Sorry if it is a typo and you meant Rovers, just thought i'd ask in case I have missed something.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It is related to Lallana and some idiots suggesting that Liverpool will pay £20M for Lambert and £5M for Lallana in order to rip off Bournemouth. There seems to be a lot of support for this from the Liverpool fans who I assume want to see Everton in the Champions League.}

Bournemouth? Why Bournemouth? Lambert was bought from Bristol rovers.

{Ed002's Note - RTP.}

Eds 002 I think IF Liverpool did conspire to defraud Bournemouth it would be nigh on impossible to prove. Also it would be in Southamptons interest to keep it quiet as they are co conspiring. Do you concur? Your thoughts would be appreciated as the plot could thicken and I'd hate to see the bitters take our place in the champions league!!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I cannot see any chance of Liverpool doing such a despicable thing - if they do the club's reputation will be gone forever.}

Ed002, since you are around, I would like to apologize regarding the confusion regarding one of my replies to a post pertinent to cheating Bournemouth yesterday.

I meant that reply to the OP, not you but I understand my reply was ambiguous and I apologize for the confusion it caused.

I posted earlier, but don't know if you saw my post regarding the above.

{Ed002's Note - Don't worry, I am astonished that there seem to be a lot of Liverpool fans supporting such an idea and I appreciate you are not one.}

30 May 2014 23:40:55
hi Ed002 I just read your reply to ck95 if what you say is all true and could easily happen that is 1 hell of a risk to be taking on any player let a loan lambert.

Agree0 Disagree0

This isn't going to happen, I don't even understand why anyone is even entertaining the idea.

whats the deal with alberto moreno, do you know what has happened with this rumoured £16.2 million bid

Believable20 Unbelievable5

Apparently they don't want suso on loan. they want 18 mil for him

Agree1 Disagree1

If they want 18 million and we get to keep Suso, I'll be ecstatic. I think Suso would give us something different for next season, even if he only gets on the pitch in cup games and from the substitutes bench. Up to him whether that suits his fancy or not, but I rate him worth more than 2 million pounds. closer to five or six, especally if Alberto was worth more than that.

£18 million, I hope we match it, i've watched him and he looks absolutely amazing going forward and we would have a even greater attacking presence, hopefully his defensive qualities will improve, he looks amazing
